Your problem with tales stems from your much much larger issues with JRPGS in general.
Tales has superior combat and characterisation to Final Fantasy.
Dragon Quest is boring repetetive and stupid, people only like it because it's mildly self aware and not final fantasy.
Phantasy Star isnt even worth mentioning but all those games suck.
Whats another JRPG? Skies of Arcadia? pfft.
All Ace Combat games are good, they are too similar for any of them to stand out as bad, ditto for Ridge.
They made 3 red alerts which is 3 too many, stupid RTS for morons who like cable tv crap.
Calling Star Ocean mediocre is rich coming from someone who considers Syndicate Wars to be a superb game.
Soul calibur is a better fighting game than def jam.

@Fabricant451 EA is a better evrerything than Ubisoft. Everything is a better everything than ubisoft.
I honestly cant name one superb or even 'very good' EA game. Even if you are one of those cringe Battlefield Bad Company 2 virgins who hails it as the pinnacle of the series its hard to give that game anything more than a 8/10. Modern battlefield games from 3 onwards are fine, decent multiplayer FPS 'get what you pay for' timesink.
Need for speed games are dick, I'd compare them to sonic games, but sonic games started out not being absolute shit before they became absolute shit.
I cant even think of any other non-sports EA games. Oh well there is those god awful dragon age games, but the less said about them the better....
Namco Bandai knock out a lot of respectable RPGs which are by no means excellent, but not offensive and obviously Tekken and what not. I'd call them a good publisher and a good dev.

Breaking Bad's appeal is pretty much reliant on it being a very original story. But with the deafining hype it was pretty hard to preserve the originality with every ugly white guy with a shit beard on your facebook screaming 'science bitch' in a cringe unironic tribute video before you got a chance to see it.
I would say that its filler is almost as bad as the walking dead but to make that comparison the walking dead would have to be something that has something other than just pure filler. That show is moronic, dull, poorly acted, and occasionally surreal in the most non-entertaining way possible.
I do think AOT has fans, I just think they make up a small percent of the people who were ejaculating all over the internet about it when it came out. SOA had hype but the fanbase has largely stuck with it even inbwetween the shows/seasons whatever.
Should also mention gundam has a pretty loyal if not squabbling fanbase.

Considering the number of games they help put out on a yearly basis and how many of those games are actually functional out of the box I'd say they earn the 'good' title. Certainly they're better than some of their contemporaries like Ubisoft and Activision. Even without Battlefield and sports games, EA has their fingers in a lot of pies that pop out the video game oven.
Being a better dev than ubisoft is like being a better swimmer than a barbell.
Like I said, they are passable but not good, and popping out a lot of games isnt nessecarily a good thing especially when you are releasing madden 2000 and god knows what with the same mechanics as the last 17 games. Battlefield is probably their best series and its average to decent. Need For Speed is one of the most offensively bad racing series I've ever played and this is coming from someone who owned Juiced.
