I think the time frame doesn't matter so much. The Big X operates by a buddy system of sorts, so even when no one knows where he is, you should always be able to count on Vex to know. Even if he can't tell you where he is and what he's doing, he could at least verify that he did know. But he doesn't. Neither do any of the others for the other Big X members.

Like I said, it’s not out of the ordinary for him to go somewhere. But in absolute worst case scenarios, Vex can at least confirm if he’s gone off on some self-assigned mission or something. But he’s in the dark as well.

I do... Well, and let me clarify. I hadn't tried to contact him, then I heard that contact had been lost with him, after which point I did then try to reach him and heard nothing.
