It’s the full program, but it’s compiled. Debugging symbols help a lot, but it would take some effort to reconstruct the original.

I could recover fragments before. Far from complete, probably farther from complete than it isn't.

It sounds like makeshift version control to me. Do you have a copy of the source code so we can compare them?

Bits and pieces. Is 02's incomplete as well?
<Snipped quote by GalaxyRaider>

What kinds of details do you have? You said this is the second iteration?

That's what I'm inferring. I can give you what I copied. The stuff I read about before helping Rhythm out was just called "Purge01". Unless you think tacking the underscore-zero-two at the end means something else?
<Snipped quote by GalaxyRaider>

Did the tests reflect that it actually accomplished that protection or restoration?

The results of it were the thing I was able to find the least info on. So much of it was wiped, I really wish I knew.

What's the purpose of the environment detection?

Well, if the design intention is to act as a restorative and-or protective function, it would make sense if it was designed to try and see what it is trying to restore or protect, you know?
<Snipped quote by GalaxyRaider>

Really? What did they have in them?

Sounds like I did make it farther than you all did then. From what you described, and what I skimmed, a lot of the same information but with less of the holes filled in.
<Snipped quote by GalaxyRaider>

Did you find any records during your search that looked like they could be talking about this kind of work?

I found records talking about exactly this line of work. The previous iteration, based on the name. "Purge01".

I never followed very closely until now. You could be right, it’s just off-putting for me.

Just based off that alone, I wouldn't worry about it.

That part’s hard to say. These comments aren’t exactly... narrative. More clinical than I would have expected from mom.

I chalk that much up to just work. Not sure how familiar you are with her work side of her life, but I don't find that awfully surprising.

I would say about four fifths of it is dedicated to detecting certain aspects of the install environment. A tenth is dedicated to removing anything it considers foreign to that environment, and the last tenth is restoring something close enough to what was originally there, or what the program thinks should be there. Including itself.

An attempt at some sort of healing factor for digital entities? A push for immortality, even?
