Suto was perfectly content with going out on a mission for Knights of the Blood. He had agreed to join and also agreed to do his part, so therein were no issues. He did however have a problem with the man he was assigned to. When he said he would work as Kazaro's personal assistant he hadn't imagined he'd be dogging around with the guy so much, it was absurd. They had gone to goodness knows how many places over the last few months, from recruitment to dungeons and personal errands. Ugh... He never should have made that damned bet in the first place. It wasn't totally hopeless though, while annoying he had more than enough in the way of resources to locate Fitch. His friend was proving to be exceptionally elusive as of late, and with no means of finding him any longer through a guild or friend's list he couldn't well solve it himself. So in that regard he was grateful for KoB, they were the means to an end if nothing else. Plus... He supposed it would be unfair to say he loathed everyone in the guild, most people were okay. Just Kazaro, he was still being blamed for Fitch's seclusion, however unjustly so.

The current floor, 30, was awfully warm compared to the others. That was something that still baffled Suto, how the heck could they feel heat? He subconsciously wondered if his real self was sweating quite as much as he was at the moment, it must be disgusting if he was. It was certainly a little better now that he had changed out his attire, his wool clothing before had been much to heavy. Rather than the woolen coat he had worn before he now had a lighter cloth top, baggy and fastened around his waist with a black sash. The top itself was plain white with simple red trim along the inside, it being slightly open around his shoulders and coming to a point at his waist, leaving an open "V" on his torso. A similar colored set of baggy pants sat beneath the sash, the bottoms of which were held down by bandages. His feet were dressed in open toed sandals, which certainly felt rather nice at the moment. To keep the sun off of him, silly as it might be, Suto had picked up a long white robe with the KoB insignia printed on the back, and small flame patterns on the end of either sleeve and the bottom of the robe. This was left entirely open and flowed behind him as he walked. A face mask touched off his outfit, currently pulled down around his collar to make breathing more comfortable.

"I still say a desert is an absurd place to be taking a mission for..." Suto remarked, frowning as he looked over at Kazaro. "We're not even that close to the tower, what's the point in coming all the way out here...?"

Were there a clear objective to all of this he would not question it, but this mission sorely lacked just that. Aside from coming out here to slay some beast there was no evidence to suggest this would further their progression at all. He may be part of the guild now, but Suto still had his own agenda. Finding Fitch and clearing the game, those were his objectives, not wander around on each floor and slay random beasts. It was just a mindless task to be carried out, only because someone had requested it of them. As if it really took four people to accomplish this. From what he had been told this creature was supposedly akin to a field boss, which would be worrisome if they were incompetent. He may not like the guy, but Suto and Kazaro could probably handle things himself. Instead they were to meet Nero and someone else out here for the mission, it seemed a bit superfluous.

Speaking of Nero, there was the guy not too far ahead now. There was a girl with him too, and Suto was surprised to find Kimigami would be joining them today. He'd seen her maybe all of once since their first meeting, it was a bit random to suddenly run into her here. Odd too, she was a solo player as he understood it, so why throw in with KoB? Coming to a halt once they had reached the others Suto looked at Kimi curiously, crossing his arms over his chest. "Why are you here...? I thought you did your own thing?"

The Knights of the Blood weren't the only ones prowling about on Floor 30. With it being the newest front line plenty of players were about, and that included some unsavory figures as well. Rather quickly establishing themselves in the first city Doku had quickly found them a bit of work... Or rather himself. Competition was becoming rather fierce as the game went on, more and more players were becoming emboldened as they gained strength and numbers. In order to maintain his current style of work certain measures had to be taken, such as eliminating the competition. He couldn't well take on contracts and make money if he was losing out to other players like him, that simply wouldn't do. So, what better way to secure more work than to remove those who might get in his way? It was through this that he would give Fitch his first task with the guild, they were to take down an alleged PKer per request of an innocent player. It was the story given to the newest member anyways, he didn't need to know the finer details.

Hachi Kage, or "Seven Shadows" was the name of Doku's guild. As he had explained to Fitch it was a collective of players who didn't mind getting their hands dirty to make the game safer. Well, in a sense not a total lie, they didn't mind getting dirty. In some ways their actions actually did benefit the overall player population, some of the most notorious PKers had been slain by them. Of course, they couldn't care less about other PKers so long as they kept their mouths shut and their activities a secret. Generally it was known if someone killed another player, and Doku was known for at least two kills for certain himself, but others went about boasting. It was nigh impossible to keep their line of work out of the sight of those larger guilds, like KoB. They couldn't well afford confrontations, small as they were, so operating with discretion was a priority. And to achieve this, well, sometimes the more talkative of their peers had to be seen to.

"Fitch, I know you might have some reservations about this. But you'll need to understand why we're taking this assignment." They had been walking through the desert for a short while now, just the pair of them. It was Fitch's initiation of sorts, this was to see if he could truly handle this line of work. If not, well shame though it may be he would have to kill the boy. For now however he remained optimistic. Resting his hand casually on the hilt of his blade Doku looked straight ahead, staring out over the waves of sand before them. "People like this cannot be allowed to live. If it means we must become hated by others for being killers than so be it, it's what must be done to ensure the safety of others." These other players were supposed to be just a kilometer out of the town, resting by a small oasis. If they kept their pace they should catch them during lunch, and hopefully off guard. "You understand your part in this, correct? I'll take on the leader, you do your best to handle the others. Call for help if you become overwhelmed."
"Well all the more reason to make new pictures, right? You'll want to remember this I'm sure!" If they didn't commemorate his "first" birthday then Yumi didn't feel they were doing it right. Kind of odd to think of this as Viral's first celebration, he was older than she was. "I suppose you're right, I can't know for certain if they're here for food or not. But hey, there's at least two dozen people here. Even if only two showed up really to see you, plus all of us, that means there's seven people that really want to celebrate with you. Actually..." she paused, looking around the room, "It should be nine, but I don't know where the others are. They should be here pretty soon though." Wonder what might be holding Ikura up, the man should be here by now. He had said something about picking up a gift on the way, so that probably had him caught up. Goodness knows what had Master Roshi preoccupied, she didn't think she wanted to know.

Holding off on presents was probably a good idea, it made sense to do them after the food anyways. In that case they should really try to find something else to preoccupy themselves, which wasn't easy. Viral wasn't exactly what one would call social, so talking to people was likely out of the question. They were a little old for games, so that wouldn't work either. "So you want me to tell you what to do? I can do that, I suppose. And presents really should come after food, usually. Like I said though, it's your birthday, so you can decide what it is you want to do first." Viral didn't seem too enthusiastic about being left to his own devices however, he definitely wanted some direction. "Hm... It's too early to sing, and we don't have games to play, let's see..." Cupping her chin in her hand Yumi glanced up when two people approached them, an elderly man and woman. She recognized them vaguely, they were an older couple who were friends of the family if she remembered right. Nice enough, though she hadn't spent very much time around them.

"Ooooh, look at how big you've grown, my word..." the woman remarked, smiling kindly as she glanced up at Viral. "Why... Last time we saw you, you were barely up to my hip. Now you tower over me!" That had been quite a while ago, they had been pretty well away since the unfortunate accident here. They were fully aware of the circumstances around it, or at least knew enough who had supposedly killed Aito and June. Yet there wasn't an ounce of resentment or discontent in their faces, only cheer and joy. Pulling one of her hands out of her sleeve the lady reached up, pinching one of Viral's cheeks with a happy laugh. "You're quite the big boy now! My my, time sure does fly!"

The old man smiled happily alongside his wife, nodding his head in agreement. "We've been away much too long, it's a pleasure to see you again Viral." Looking up at the Beastman he finally remembered himself, bowing his head politely as he took of his hat. "My name is Masao, and this darling flower is my wife Shiori. It's quite alright if you don't remember us, we haven't been by in quite some time after all!" Looking at his wife he chuckled softly, grabbing her arm to pull her hand away with a meek smile. "Now now dear, you're going to tear the boy's poor face off."

"Oh hush you, I was just being nice," Shiori replied, smiling as she playfully swatted at her husbands hand. Looking back at Viral she took a turn to bow slightly, "I'm sure you're a busy man, so we'll let you get on with your day. Happy birthday again my dear!"

Trying to explain the concept of time and years to Shu was not a feat Takeshi was willing or ready to undertake. Even if he started at the beginning of this week he was skeptical he'd make it clear enough for Shu before they had to leave again. "Sixteen isn't that much I guess, you're pretty young still," he answered, pausing and giving Shu a funny look. "You... Can't count...? Uh..." Well now that was a little worrying. There had been times where Shu had been given money to get things and returned with them in hand, and now Takeshi wondered just how much his brother had overpaid. Heh, probably not letting the little guy go grocery shopping anytime soon. Time to add how to count to the ever expanding list of things Shu had to learn. With a topic change to desserts the young boy was once again all springy with excitement, clearly wanting a sweet to sink his teeth into. Smiling exasperatedly Takeshi waved his hands, "Woah, relax Shu, we haven't even had the meal yet. Food first, then cake okay?" Filling Shu with loads of sugar and icing, was that really such a good idea? Oh boy, they could have a super hyperactive monkey child on their hands soon. "We'll see what they have tonight, alright? And then maybe if I remember it we'll pick up a fruit pie at some point before we leave, sound good?"
"Viral, you were still born, regardless of how that came about, so you have a birthday." Vegeta replied in a matter-of-fact manner. It was kind of funny seeing Viral so utterly beside himself, he had no idea how to respond to this. Didn't seem angry, so at least he wasn't upset they had done this for him. Maybe given a little time he'd even begin to enjoy himself. Admitting to never having thought to throw one before he cringed inwardly at his friend's rebuttal, he sounded bitter about that. Better late than never, he supposed, albeit he wished now he had been a little more considerate. Seeing Yumi coming their way Vegeta offered a small smile, patting his friend on the shoulder. "Well we're going to fix that, expect this once a year from now on. If you'll excuse me, I need to go check on the food. Enjoy yourself, alright? It's your day after all." There was still a lot to be seen to, least of which involved the food. Cutting through the large main room Vegeta went into the kitchen, satisfied to see cooks and chefs hard at work. The cake was already finished, a rather monstrously large one seeing as who it would be feeding. The room smelled of broiled meats and fish and plenty of vegetables were being prepared in dozens of fashions as well. Hm... Was there anything else they needed?

Yumi was pretty darn ecstatic how things had come together, and Viral certainly looked surprised. Joining him by the presents she beamed up at him happily, laughing lightly as he pushed her away slightly. "Aw, don't be like that. Half of the fun of birthday parties is taking photos. Besides, I'm not the only one with a camera, and there's loads of people here." She hoped that didn't unnerve him, she had no idea of he was camera shy or not. Looking out at the mass of people she tucked her hands behind her back, smiling still as he shrugged her shoulders. "Why else would they show up? It is your birthday party after all, and it was optional like I said, they don't have to be here. Everyone wants to celebrate your birthday." Looking back at Viral she bumped up against his side slightly, shaking her head before gently punching his arm. "And don't say that, people so too like you. No one at Capsule Corp has ever done anything to show they didn't, and they consider you part of the company, part of Vegeta's team, or family, however he puts it. So you're one of them, and that's why they decided to come along!"

"You want me to show you what to do at a party...? Well... Okay, I guess I can do that." It all depended on the kind of party really, and this was definitely more low key. Well as low key as a billionaire throwing a birthday bash could be anyways, it was rather flashy compared to most. Humming thoughtfully Yumi grabbed Viral's arm, moving to tug him away but pausing when he asked about the presents. Releasing him she smiled knowingly, picking one up as well and turning it over in her hands. "These are your gifts silly. I don't have any idea what anyone bought you, everyone was told to get something they figured you might enjoy. Since it's your party and all you can definitely open them if you want." He wasn't a little kid so she figured it would be okay if he opened them while everyone wasn't watching. Though all of that positive attention might do him some good, so maybe she should get everyone's attention. "Or we can just go talk to people and have fun while we wait for the food. Up to you, birthday boy!"

"Okay, well maybe they're not celebrating this last year exactly... But the ones before it. It's all about celebrating the person whose birthday it is basically, and in this case its Viral we're celebrating, you know? Make sense now?" Oh dear, here came the slew of questions again. Smiling exasperatedly Takeshi smacked his own forehead, figuring he got himself into this one. "A year is three hundred and sixty five days Shu, and I'm guessing a birthday is the same thing as a bornday. Every year when the day comes that you were born on you celebrate it, that's how that works. And you're... Uh..." Takeshi had to think a moment, he couldn't remember off the top of his head how old Shu was. Let's see... He was 17, and he was pretty sure his brother was one year younger, so... "Sixteen, you're sixteen years... Er... Borndays old. Speaking of which... I don't even know what day you were born." How was he even supposed to find out? He didn't even really know his own, and it had never really been celebrated. It wasn't like they could ask their mother or father either. Sighing softly Takeshi looked back at Shu, smiling slightly amused. "Cake is really good, you'll like it. There's all sorts of kinds too. Chocolate, vanilla, marble, yellow... Hm... Fruit cake, lemon, and then there's pies..."
No good D: Well here's to hoping you recover plenty and well soon ^^ Your well being comes first, so we'll certainly wait.
The energy inside Capsule Corp as they waited was palpable, and Vegeta was admittedly nervous. They had never done anything like this for Viral before, how was he going to take it? They were to find out soon enough, a soundless call from Yumi signaled that they were fast approaching. Gesturing for everyone to get together he quickly turned off the lights, joining the bulk of the company in the back of the room. In utter silence they stood until the door creaked open, and Viral was the first one inside. No sooner were the lights turned on did Viral get the surprise of his life as everyone shouted at once. Not that he expected it to be taken with much grace, but having a weapon drawn in shock was hardly the reaction that was desired. Figuring it best to intervene before someone lost a limb Vegeta hurried over, smiling cheerfully as he grabbed the Beastman by the arm, leading him further inside. "What's happening is we're throwing you a party, Viral. Isn't that obvious? And we mean exactly what we said, happy birthday. It IS your birthday, after all." Well, about a week and a few days short, but close enough. Plus Viral didn't even know when his birthday was, so for all intents and purposes today was the day.

"Sorry about dumping you out with Roshi and the others like that, but when we were given this idea we had to do it. So... Yeah, happy birthday Viral." The crowd was gracious enough to part as they walked through, though half of the reason may have been the particularly sharp cleaver the Beastman was touting. On the other side of the crowd was a rather modest stack of presents, of varying shapes and sizes all addressed to the Beastman. The party had been a total success so far, at least in the surprise part. Goodness knows how Viral was going to handle things, they would have to wait and see. Releasing his friend by the gifts Vegeta looked back at the guests, many beginning to chatter amongst themselves though a few still watched them excitedly. "I know it's a long time coming and I'm sorry. We celebrate everyone's around here but yours it seems, and that's not fair. So, starting this year we're adding yours to the list." Seeing Yumi come over the Saiyan stepped aside to give them room, chuckling as he gave a small wave. "I'm going to go check on the food, I'll be back shortly." Excusing himself Vegeta went through the crowd and out towards the kitchen, where both resident cooks and a hired service were busily working on creating a buffet, most of which consisted of Viral's favorites. There was food for everyone else too of course, but the bulk was for his friend.

"You should have seen the look on your face when you walked in here!" Yumi exclaimed, beaming as she stood at Viral's side. "I wish I thought to bring a camera, that worked so well! Oh I can't get over how well it worked!" Shame Viral wasn't even a fraction as excited as she was, herself being near giddy. There was an awful lot vested in this effort, if that weren't obvious, and a ton was riding on if this helped his depression or not. Granted it wasn't the only reason for the party, it was legitimately a birthday party, but they might kill two people with one stone. Still smiling widely she glanced around at the other guests, watching as they began breaking up into their own groups and chatting. "And you know... All of these people here, you don't know them I'm sure, but they all agreed to come. It was an optional party and we kind of expected it to be just us, but look at how many people turned up! All for your birthday!" They had no reason to come and yet they had, even while barely knowing the person in question. "So yeah, there's that. But enough rambling, it's your party, what do you want to do?"

It was really nice seeing how well things had come together, Takeshi had been awfully cynical about anyone really showing up. To think the majority of Vegeta's employees would be in attendance, well hopefully that meant Viral would enjoy his party more. While he let out a cheerful shout his brother made one more of surprise, a bit higher pitched and more alarmed sounding. As things died down and Viral was moved off to see his gifts he was left with Shu and T'charrl at the door. "Bornday...? I'm guessing that's celebrating the day you were born on..." Takeshi said, pointing out the obvious, "If so then yeah, it's the same. And it's happy because it's celebrating getting another year older. And all the things you did in that last year, I guess." Looking about the room he found a spot to set things down, placing his load of bags along a wall just beneath a set of wide windows. Sighing contently now that his hands were freed the Saiyan smiled at his brother, gesturing over to the tables. "There's going to be tons of food there in a bit, and cake. I can't remember... Have you ever had cake, Shu?"
Poor Viral wasn't having a very good time of it at all. Being out in public was never exactly his forte, not as long back as Yumi could remember. His being depressed couldn't help that at all. It was a necessary evil, she had to buy time in order for the party to be set up. Which should be within the next few minutes, provided they weren't running behind schedule. A quick look at her phone told them they were fine, still fifteen minutes until they were slated to show up. Sighing in relief she looked over at Viral curiously, wondering if he had any idea what was coming yet or not. "I think you're supposed to see him tomorrow, right? Every other day I think..." They had seen him yesterday morning so no meeting today. Just as well, they couldn't waste any time if they planned on pulling off the surprise. Looking back at the others again for a second Yumi smiled, folding her hands behind her back. "You don't seem so bad today though, honest. I think just talking to someone is helping you a lot. Maybe you won't end up needing the medicine after all?" Seeing how against it they all were it would be awfully nice to eliminate the pills, but only if they could.

Takeshi was pretty grateful that Shu had agreed to help, albeit he'd nearly lost the stack of bags. Gasping as they teetered precariously he rebalanced them, practically hugging them to his chest as he worried they might fall. Once they settled down again he breathed a sigh of relief, smiling as he could now see easier as well. "Thanks Shu, just be careful with them," he chided, just as his little brother began bouncing around with them. At least the bags he took was all food and nothing too important. Wait, what was he saying, of course food was important! Cringing slightly each time a bag went upside down Takeshi carefully stuck out a foot, hopping slightly as he prodded his brother to stop moving so much. "What are they for...?" Takeshi repeated, blinking as he looked at Shu. "Uh... They're for..." he began, looking to Yumi for help to only get a shake of her head. "Well Vegeta needs a lot of stuff, and so we're picking it up for him! Yeah, and Yumi wanted some things in here as well so she got those. Just a shopping trip, nothing fishy or anything." That bought him another glare from Yumi, and immediately clamming up Takeshi went back go just walking, figuring he'd probably do best to be quiet.

"It's stuff for me and Viral, Shu," Yumi reaffirmed, smiling politely. "Just a couple things we might need when we go off again, that's all." Sigh, Takeshi wasn't really cut out for this whole surprise party business, he was practically giving it away. Looking back ahead and seeing the Capsule Corp building a few blocks away now she slowed her pace slightly, wondering if everything was all prepared. "If you want something then we can get you something before we leave, how's that? I'll see about finding you a toy or something for the trip. That sound okay?" What would someone like Shu even play with? Anything probably, considering how easily fascinated he was. Heh, maybe she could buy him a ball of yarn and let him have that. Kind of funny she consider that seeing as how she was part feline, she wondered if she might secretly want that for herself. Brushing that aside with a small smile she stopped as they now were on the other side of the street from Capsule Corp. Everything appeared the same as ever, just the security guards posted out front and a few people wandering around the courtyard, nothing to give a sign that something was amiss. Good, so Vegeta had everything all sorted out. "Viral, mind getting the door for them? I need to make a quick call before I come inside," Yumi said, pulling out her phone once more and dialing Vegeta's number. Calling him was the plan, he would know they were there even if he didn't pick up. Walking away from the others she crossed the street, standing at the side of the entrance to wait.

Viral would open the door, wanting to do as Yumi asked probably. Once he did he would find the lights in the room were off and it was curiously quiet. As soon as the lights were flipped on the Beastman would be greeted with the sight of some few dozen people all gathered in the main room. Streamers and signs were hung up all over, as well as balloons all tied to various pieces of furniture and floating up along the ceiling. Vegeta stood at the forefront of the crowd, a knowing smirk on his face as everyone began to cheer and clap for Viral.

"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" everyone shouted, including Takeshi and Yumi behind him. A chorus of happy laughter and cheers, as well as clapping sounded off as Vegeta went forward to usher his friend inside, taking him by the arm to lead him further inside. "Happy birthday, brother." he added, his smirk widening into a grin.
((As a note while you read this. I ended up losing my post partway through last night and couldn't recover it... So I said meh and just jumped to transition. Sorry xD))

Spending the night at Roshi's had been all well and fine, surprisingly enough. Dinner had been more than filling and everyone had a comfortable place to rest, and once morning rolled around they were ready to get going. Shu, T'charrl and Takeshi had all been filled in by Yumi as to what the plan was for today, they all had to keep it a secret however. It wouldn't be much of a surprise party after all if the Beastman were to find out beforehand. Since the celebration itself was relatively isolated, just within Capsule Corp's building it wasn't terribly difficult to hide it once in the city. They were, however, taking an obscenely long time returning there. Under the guise of having to run errands Yumi dragged the group, Roshi included, all over the city, picking up food, clothing, a gadget Vegeta had wanted. Supposedly she was going to be reimbursed for all of this, she certainly hoped so. Unlike Mr. Business she didn't have terribly deep pockets and this small spree was making her wallet ache.

"Ah, that ought to be the last of it!" Yumi announced cheerfully. At this point in time she had accrued quite the number of bags, all of which Takeshi had been begrudgingly made to carry. She glanced back with a small smirk in the others direction, hardly able to see the aforementioned boy beyond his pile of luggage. Well he had agreed to do whatever he had to in order to help, he shouldn't have been so eager. Looking down at her now sparsely filled wallet she let out a light sigh, tucking it back in her pant pocket. Then glancing at her watch she made not of the time, twenty minutes until they were supposed to show up. Well, if they walked there at a regular pace they'd arrive just on time. Viral was just to her side, and with a smile she reached over and prodded his shoulder to grab his attention. "After we get back to Capsule Corp you can take your medicine if you need it, alright? I just hope you're up for eating, can't take it on an empty stomach."

Takeshi could hardly see where he was walking, only having a slight peephole through the bags to navigate by. Ugh... When he said he was happy to help this wasn't quite what he'd had in mind. In spite of trying to delegate bag duty to his brother and friend Yumi had been determined to have him do it, and that had obviously turned out in her favor. Ah well, not like they were heavy or anything, just really awkward to carry. Balancing them was a real pain, and he swore someone put a bag of food on the very top. Lifting his head slightly to peer up he saw the very bag swaying slightly, swallowing as he returned to peeking through his little porthole. So long as he didn't have to stop suddenly or didn't walk into anything he was fine. Turning his head just slightly to see Shu the older boy smiled, nodding towards the load in his arms. "Hey Shu... Don't suppose you want to take one or two of these... Do you...?" he whispered, hopefully. "I'd really appreciate it if you did."
Takeshi hadn't even heard T'charrl's worries, he was far too much into his own thoughts to. Taking a firm hold of the ship's hull he carried it out to the water a good ways off, dropping it on the ocean and carefully adjusting it so the broad side faced the shore. It was the only thing out among the waves, surely that was a pretty easy target for them. Only they weren't supposed to hit it, this was to see whether or not they could control their Ki enough to not hit something. "Whenever you two are ready let them fly!" There was hesitation on their end for a moment, mostly with T'charrl not seeming very thrilled, just sort of standing there. Shu was more than keen to go, and within seconds had energy gathered in his hands. Rising into the air as a safety measure Takeshi watched excitedly as his brother threw the first, it coming up fair short of the target. The second wasn't too much better, though he didn't seem ready to give up. The third looked much for hopeful, it was flying much faster and straighter than the other two. 5 meters, then 10, 15... Wait... It was going straight for the... Boat. As soon as the Ki slammed into the side of the boat Takeshi's face drained of color, watching as splintered wood shot all over the place. When the explosion ended there was nothing but the bottom of the ship remaining, slowly filling with water as it began to sink.

"Oh no no no..." Flying back down he hastily grabbed hold of the ship, giving it a hard tug to yank it free of the water. Unfortunately for him all he managed to do was tear off a plank, watching wide eyed as the little vessel sank into the briny depths. Well... Crap. Hopefully T'charrl wasn't right and Master Roshi didn't need that boat, otherwise he was in for some trouble. Looking at the bubbling wreckage that was the ship the Saiyan flew back over to shore, landing with a sheepish grin as he held up the plank. "You hit it Shu... I said not to..." he said, sighing before reaching out and poking his brother's forehead. "Please, please listen next time." Maybe he wouldn't notice, though that was unlikely. Not entirely sure what else to do with it Takeshi went back over to the stand, placing the lone piece of wood on it pitifully and watching as it fell off. Looking around he carefully kicked it under the beach house, folding his hands behind his back as he walked back to his brother and friend. "Good job training today guys, I think that'll be it for today!"

Yumi tried very hard to suppress the grin that threatened to come out, just barely breaking into a smile instead. "It's just for one night Viral, don't worry about it too much. And actually Vegeta's pretty against your taking that after I told him how you were on it. He said we should keep it to one a day and see how that works for now, he doesn't want to overdo things." That was probably the prescription anyways, though she didn't know for sure. The lack of medicine meant Viral was liable to slip back into his old mannerisms and get upset again, maybe she could find something to occupy him. Mulling it over as she glanced out the window Yumi looked back at Viral, bouncing slightly before pointing outside. "You and I... Let's go swimming!" she said suddenly, beaming. "We haven't done that in ages, and it's a beautiful day. Plus exercise will help you feel better, so we can go work out too." Forgetting for just a moment who else was in the room she threw in a joke, teasing Viral as she leaned closer and whispered. "Or are you afraid of seeing me in a bathing suit?" The sound of a thud behind her made her remember fair quickly, and with a red face she turned around, balling her hands into fists at her side. "You're not seeing me, pervert!"

"Eh, eh eh... What's that...?" Roshi asked, chuckling with a beet red face. "Eh... I won't look, I promise! I don't want to get buried in the sand again!" Viral would probably throw him to the moon if he even dared to take a peek. Not that he didn't want to that is. Picking himself up with still quite the flushing face the old man coughed into his hand, folding both behind his back. "I've got something to take care of anyways, so you kids can have all the privacy you want." He had to go to the city for some groceries, and since Turtle wasn't around he'd have to take his boat. By the door he grabbed a straw cap and a wallet from the drawer of an end table, putting the former on his head and latter in his pocket. "I won't be long, you two have fun now!" Humming merrily Roshi went out the front door, heading to the side to retrieve his little craft. Passing a nervous looking Takeshi on the way he thought nothing of it, at least until he rounded the corner. Seeing his little ship missing and a small bit of it laying just under his house the old man's face reddened again, albeit for a different reason. "What did you boys do to my ship?!"
"An army huh...? Yeah, I guess it would be. Never really fought a big enough group of people before to need to use that though." Granted, he had used some similar attacks on Elites, only because he figured all that fire would do some good in keeping them back. Against powerful enemies it seemed a little silly to use that, but when dealing with something like their father's standard grunt then sure, blast to your heart's content. "Think like what...? You mean fighting father's troops?" Takeshi asked, raising an eyebrow. "Not a totally bad idea honestly, it would definitely help thin out big groups. Plus to be honest its pretty weak compared to a lot of other attacks, so if nothing else its good for making people move." Plus it was just kind of fun, throwing blasts around like that. It was so easy too they could probably do it for quite a while before getting tired. Something like the Kamehameha on the other hand was much more powerful, but at the same time took more Ki. "It's pretty obvious, but the stronger the blast the more Ki it takes, and usually the longer it'll take to charge. The difference is maybe a second or two, but that can mean a lot during a fight."

Throwing Ki was definitely a matter that required more attention. Shu hardly got any distance in his throws and while T'charrl got distance his blasts were weaker. It took a balance of control to throw and channeling enough strength in a blast to make it effective. Frankly if they were to fight Takeshi doubted T'charrl's attacks would hurt much, and while Shu's would he was skeptical they'd ever hit him unless he stood still.., And five feet away. Not to bash their efforts, they were doing exceptionally well so far, but they still had a ways to go. "A boat floats in the water, it lets you travel without getting wet," Takeshi explained, smiling as he dropped said vessel on the shore. "Not that we'll need something like this if you two can fly." Shu's question about Roshi made the older boy grin, and after putting a finger to his lips he watched the aforementioned man walk inside with Viral. Chuckling he grabbed the edge of the boat, flying out over the water with it in hand before placing it about twenty meters out. "He won't know about it, so don't worry! It'll be our little secret!" he called back, cupping his mouth to make his voice carry. "Now go on, fire away guys!"

Getting through to Viral was going to be no small feat. He needed a pick me up, something to brighten his outlook a little bit. While Roshi himself certainly couldn't provide anything of the sorts he had an idea, and knew someone who could carry it out. They didn't have any more need to keep outside like this, and the person he needed to speak to was inside anyways. Getting the Beastman to come with him Roshi got to his feet, heading into the house while blissfully unaware of what the trio of boys were up to on the other side. Pushing open the screen door he found Yumi sat on the sofa in his living room, still talking away on the phone. Good, so he wasn't going to have to make a call. Holding a finger up for Viral to wait a moment he shuffled over, leaning against the edge of the couch. Smiling innocently as he was giving an accusing stare the hermit shook his head, motioning for the girl to come closer. "Listen... Your friend over there has it pretty bad, we need to cheer him up and I've got just the thing..." Roshi whispered. A skeptical look made him grin, he definitely had something, "Throw him a birthday party. He said he's never had one before, so why not start now?"

Yumi figured whatever Roshi had to say was full of fluff. Preparing to smack him for being an idiot she paused when she actually heard him out, her eyes brightening at the suggestion. That was... Actually a really good idea. They had the place to do it, time and resources, so why not? Now it was her turn to tell someone to wait, and after sending a knowing smile Viral's way she got up out of her seat, hurrying off into the kitchen for some privacy. Closing the door behind her to make sure no one followed she giggled slightly, becoming excited at the idea. "Vegeta...? I just got a really good idea. If you're not busy tomorrow we should throw Viral a birthday party!"

Now that was some random transition. They had just been talking about finding homes for all of their new companions, and now they were on about birthday parties? Vegeta blinked in confusion at first, smiling slightly as he thought about it. Not totally unreasonable, he could have a proper bash set up in a matter of hours. Though it was already late in the day, so as Yumi proposed it would have to be tomorrow. A few quick calls and he could get caterers, entertainers, whatever was needed. Then again Viral probably didn't want over the top, a simple get together would be fine. "That sounds like an idea. Hm... Tell you what. I'll finish up here and then call a few people, see if I can find someone to help organize it. In the mean time you keep him at Roshi's house, understand?" There was a stammered question of 'How' on the other line, making Vegeta chuckle. "I needed to know where you were taking Viral, so I kept tabs on you guys in the city. And I was told you'd left for the ocean so I figured that was where you were heading, was I wrong?"

"No, we're here. But okay, I can keep him here for the night! Just be sure to have things ready by... Tomorrow evening, okay? I want it to be special since it's his first and all." Knowing full well her friend would be on the case Yumi hung up after that, suppressing a cheeky smile as she left the kitchen and came back to the others. Placing the phone on the receiver calmly she walked up to Viral, smiling at him with her hands behind her back. "Guess what? We're spending the night here! Hope you like the smell of sea salt."
Takeshi enjoyed showing off quite a bit, and maybe it was some incentive for Shu and T'charrl to train even harder. After putting on his little light show he turned to face the others, grinning triumphantly. They had enjoyed the display, albeit his friend was rather quick to question whether it was safe or not around others. His smile waning a little the Saiyan looked away, folding his hands behind his back as he scuffed a foot in the sand. "Well... I don't know about completely safe, but it's safe enough. Besides, I'd never use it if a friend was standing too close anyways, I wouldn't want to risk hurting them." A volley like that couldn't possibly be 100 percent safe, he couldn't even truly say he knew the path of each blast, only their destination. Chuckling softly he rubbed the back of his neck, stopping as he began to watch Shu bounce around him excitably. Smiling again Takeshi shook his head, wagging a finger in his brother's face playfully. "Nuh uh, you have to learn a lot more before you can even try something like that. But you do it by sending out Ki in a sort of curve, and it'll fly like that on its own. If you push more Ki behind your blast its even easier to direct, depends on how you want to do it."

"So that's something you can do if you practice really hard, but we're not there yet. You two still need to work out just getting a ball and making it out far enough. Hm... How to do that..." Problem with them being out here on the ocean, there were no markers for them to judge distance. Just a ton of water and a tree or two on the island, which they couldn't well blow up. Takeshi gave his head a thoughtful scratching for a moment as he mulled it over, looking around the area for something. Spotting a small, old boat tucked up alongside the house he grinned, marching over and yanking it off of the frame it was sat on. Dragging it along behind him he placed it on the shore, nodding approvingly. "How about this? I'll put the boat out on the water a little far away, and I want to see how close you two can get to hitting it without actually hitting it. Each time you get close I'll move it further until I think you've got it down. Want to give that a try?"

Roshi frowned as he folded his arms over his chest, giving Viral a rather skeptical look. "You don't change...? So I suppose you're the exact same person as you were when you were created...?" Unless the Beastman was always depressed he would say no. Even not in that regard the hermit knew things had changed, Viral as a person had grown. Physical growth was not all that shaped people, and frankly judging oneself just by physical growth alone was pretty shallow. Funny thing for a man obsessed with women's beauty to think, but it was true. "Your appearance might not have changed, but who you are has. Your role in life, how you see things, the relationships around you, those all grow and will keep growing. You've got to look at everything as an entire picture to see growth sometimes." A lot more went into life than just oneself after all, Roshi wondered whether or not Viral understood that.

Brushing off the 'little ancient body' comment Roshi continued to hear out Viral, not very enthusiastic with the man's outlook. Everything was so grim with this one, he supposed that was a byproduct of being depressed. It was rather hard speaking to someone like this, but feeling rather empathetic Roshi had to try saying something at least. "Killing people is an unfortunate truth when you're a warrior. It can't be avoided much as we'd like to sometimes. You're not alone in that regard, Viral. Plenty of people have had to take a life for good reasons, and not everyone can always accept what they had done. But understanding that sometimes it is necessary helps." The Beastman was a good person, that was undoubtedly true. Roshi didn't believe for a moment the man beside him was truly evil in any regard, simply lost and confused. He needed to be guided back to the side of good before he ended up falling deeper into darkness, how he wasn't sure. "I've done some things I wish I hadn't, and I've lived with them. If things bother you then do something to make good with your conscience, it's what I've done." Smiling thoughtfully the hermit slowly stood up, looking down at Viral. "Come with me? I'd like to show you something."
