Vegeta would admit Viral had a fair point, changing probably wouldn't solve anything. Not that he expected it to, he'd merely been voicing an idea. Genetics was where his focus was going to be now, everything else was almost a whim until he saw that through. "Since I can't say with any certainty what would happen... Perhaps it's best we don't try that," he admitted, smiling sheepishly. "It won't do any good for the genes, and now that I hear the idea it's... Well borderline idiotic. Transforming now would only agitate the genes further and could cause more damage. Ideally the best course of action now is to keep you as you are, unfortunately. At least until I can stabilize your condition so you can change back safely." No use in causing further damage when the solution was at last on the horizon. Having to sit tight and be in constant discomfort wasn't going to be fun whatsoever, but unfortunately that was all Viral could do right now. Until they had the gene samples cultivated there was nothing more that could be done for him, other than administering medicine to stifle any pain. "At any rate... Do you want to return to your room after this, Viral? I've got enough material I can begin running tests, meaning you don't have to come back to the medical ward if you don't want to."

Hah, Choi was getting all miffed at him. Takeshi was aiming to irritate Choi to the point of making a mistake, and now he could see if that would pay off. Grinning as he backed away, the Prince thumbed his nose, taunting his friend all the while. It worked like a charm and in came Choi with a vengeance, darting straight ahead and looking properly miffed. Raising both of his arms to block the first punch he smiled amused, watching as his friend began moving around to throw more and more strikes. It was a bit tricky keeping up, Takeshi wasn't the most deft on his feet and had to pivot quickly to keep the punches from landing. He didn't think Choi was this quick, albeit he still wasn't fast as Shu. Even with the slower speed, blows got through. Nothing super serious, but enough to make him flinch as he was struck. This was getting them nowhere, the attacks weren't solid enough to beat him and it was just dragging on. Blocking another punch he smirked before jumping up, disappearing as he darted away. He landed then right in front of Choi, crouched down as he glanced up with a smile. Drawing back one arm he tried to land a punch right on the underside of his jaw, hoping to catch him off guard.

Kabocha figured he could be a bit more direct, T'charrl certainly seemed to be handling himself well enough. Given he was no Shu when it came to raw speed, at least not sustained speed anyways. For one good burst though he could move pretty fast, using Ki to bolster his agility. Dashing right at the Kaesstrian he easily avoided the grabbing claws of his friend, landing a solid kick on one of the orbs on accident. It was shockingly hard, it felt like kicking a solid rock, only it didn't break. There was little time to be surprised however as he found a set of claws around his middle, he'd been caught. Gasping in surprise he had to hastily raise both hands, catching an incoming punch. Since he used both for that he had nothing for the second, taking a blow to the chin that made his head spin. Another to the chest, and another to the shoulder, he was taking all sorts of blows. At last he managed to block both fists, grabbing hold of them with a grunt as he forced T'charrl to stop. Swinging himself he got his feet on the Kaesstrian's chest, and with a lot of effort began pushing against, either trying to strain his arms into making T'charrl let go or just giving up and kicking him in the chest, whatever worked.
Whether Viral liked the attention from Vegeta or not he was going to get it. That's just how he was. Same went for everyone else, they were going to try and help because that's what they did. Each person in their own way was trying to lend a hand somehow, It was a lot of attention, unwarranted maybe, but it was all directed at helping. "Losing sleep over someone you care about is normal though, it's what people do," Yumi said, smiling kindly, "Do you think everything has been all sunshine while you've been like this? We're all worried about you. And no one sees you as a joke, I swear no one does. We wouldn't joke about something this serious." Hearing the doors swing open she glanced to the kitchen, watching as Vegeta came over to join them. Empty handed, she noticed with a slight pout. The food would be a bit while then, shame since she was getting hungry. By some cruel and unusual punishment he decided to share too what he had prepared, all of which sounded good. Feeling her stomach grumbling Yumi smiled sheepishly, leaning down in her seat and giving a small yawn. "Hm... It sounds good though Viral, doesn't it? I'll definitely be having some."

Vegeta sort of hoped for a more favorable response from Viral, but should have expected what he got. Smiling slightly he sighed, shaking his head as he sat on the edge of the table. "You say that now, but I'd like to think once you take a bite you'll be more inclined to eat," he mused, looking down at Viral. Eating could trigger a transformation, true, it had happened before. If Viral were to change now he wondered if it would be a single, complete transformation or a culmination of the three like before. If the former then he should be able to change back without issue, that would be nice. On the question of changing back Vegeta looked down at Viral's arm, grabbing it up and giving it a careful look over. If partial transformations could happen accidentally, were they possible if the Beastman tried purposefully too? "Transforming may not be the worst thing, though," he said, letting go of his friend's arm, "If you can transform and just take on a single form then it would be easier to change back, right? We know how to get in and out of your feline form, have you considered shifting into that and then undoing it?"

Choi was putting up a fair good fight so far, it was really back and forth. He'd certainly improved, there was no doubting that, it looked like he'd been doing more than just spending time with Yumi. Exchanging blow for blow it was easy to see how this session could go on for some time, they knew one another's fighting style fairly well by now. Stronger though they may be they used much the same tricks, it was almost like they were fighting their own brothers, in a way. If that was going to be the case then he'd try something a bit unusual, some grappling. Dodging a straight jab Takeshi smirked, grabbing Choi's arm rather than trying to retaliate. With a grunt of effort he hoisted the other boy off his feet and flipped him on his back, falling next to him and taking hold of his arm by wrapping both legs around it, effectively immobilizing the limb completely. "Hah, but we're not using Ki, so I'm safe!" he retorted, grinning as he pulled a bit. It would be easy to win this way, but hardly any fun. Letting go then of the limb he reached over, giving Choi's cheek a playful little smack before jumping away, sticking his tongue out childishly. "Come on then! Don't tell me that little move was all it took!"

Kabocha was a little flustered, he hadn't expected T'charrl to be as agile as he was. Being knocked away was understandable, the Kaesstrian was huge and pretty darn strong, but he didn't anticipate being tripped up as he had been. No matter, he could change his style quick enough, catching himself on his hands and kicking out as he did so. It missed as he spun completely around, pushing off of the floor and landing back on his feet with a smile. "Don't go easy? Well alright then, but you asked for it," Kabocha said, getting positioned like he was going to start a race, "Let's see what you're made of!" Kicking off with his back leg he darted straight at T'charrl, jumping up as the distance rapidly closed. Swinging his entire body around he tried to kick the Kaesstrian's shoulder, and if he was blocked or stopped then he'd try kicking out with his other leg too. If that didn't pan out he'd back off, as getting in real close and getting stuck would only end badly for him.
Yumi gave a dramatic roll of her eyes, smiling at Viral amused as she drew back. "Now you're just stretching for things. You won't hurt me, on purpose or otherwise, so relax." She could really go overboard and pinch his cheek, do something teasing, but figured she'd spare him the humiliation. In some ways it was like dealing with a moody kid, you could give them affection and all they did was fuss. Hehe, if Viral heard that analogy he'd probably get all indignant and tell her otherwise. Raising her arms up over her head in a stretch she glanced at the Beastman, scratching behind one of her own ears. "I doubt any of this was meant to happen, it just... Did. Nothing we can do now but make it better, which is exactly what we're trying to do. And it is going to get better, you know as well as I do Vegeta will drive himself insane looking for your cure at this point, so it's bound to happen. And if he thinks he's found something then you know he's going to work at it." No one was as... Stubborn in that regard as Vegeta. The way he could single mindedly work on a single project at once was astounding, and often gave great results. It was in part why he ended up CEO of Capsule Corp and not one of the senior board members, she recalled.

"And I'll work at it until it's finished," Vegeta interrupted, coming out from the swinging doors. Smiling slightly he stood behind Viral, wiping his hands down on a rag he brought with him. "The food will be done in a bit, just some simple dishes for now. Just some haddock filets, some vegetables, potatoes with garlic and a few easy bake rolls. Not exactly a cuisine, but it should fill us up." Provided Viral was even going to eat, he was averted to any such thing right now. Tucking the rag into the waistband of his pants he sat down on the edge of the table, looking down at the Beastman thoughtfully. Even while cooking he hadn't stopped thinking about gene therapy, and now he was trying to decide how exactly they should go about it. If those genes were for his erratic energy spikes then regulating that ought to undo the transformations, or at the very least enable Viral to do so himself. On a bit of a stretch Vegeta reached down, grabbing hold of Viral's forearm and examining the fin and fur closely for a moment. "Viral... I know you're capable of controlling your energy to a point, drawing it in and expelling it. I'm probably hitting a wall with this, but have you tried retracting your energy yet? Or... Consider the way you undo the feline transformation, has that worked for this?"

Inevitably Takeshi was going to feel cocky going into this sparring match. He had always been stronger than Choi, even if only marginally when they first met. It wasn't often he took pride in his heritage, but knowing he was born of the only Super Saiyan gave his already massive ego a bit of a boost to boot. He was doing a damn good job not showing his arrogance though as they traded blows, trying to just get a feel for his friend's power for now. Starting off with an open palm strike and following with a series of punches he grinned as each was met by a subsequent punch, the sound of his and Choi's fists colliding creating a bit of an echo. Even abruptly driving a knee up to try and catch the other boy off guard was met by a block, he'd certainly gotten better. "Not too bad! Though I am going easy on you," Takeshi replied, dodging another punch. Trying to grab hold of Choi's arm as it flew by he intended to lift the other boy up and slam him on the floor, then try to pin him down and get his arm in a lock. Simple grappling they were taught in training back on Kortal, kind of useless in a real fight but handy in training.

Kabocha knew this wasn't going to be easy for him, and so far his predictions were true. T'charrl didn't seem to have any weakness, none that he could figure out immediately. After hitting the Kaesstrian he knew he was solid, all muscle and hard muscle at that. To top that off he had speed, and presumably endurance to boot. All in all he was your typical brawler, it would be one hell of a fight if they just went hand to hand. Ki might be an option if he wasn't so worried about causing a change, probably best to avoid that for now then. After lunging out at the Kaesstrian he tried to get right back into the swing of things, coming back with another flurry of punches. Even the ones that did hit didn't feel very strong, he'd have to really work to do some damage. Again he had to stop and dodge a big fist, grinning when he nimbly did so. He hadn't realized that T'charrl had spun though, and soon found his feet up by his head as he was falling down. Laughing excitably he caught himself on one hand, planting the other and using it to rotate himself as he kicked out, trying to knock T'charrl away. "For a big guy you're fast!"
"I don't know if I'd say Vegeta is too confident... More like he's trying to be optimistic," Yumi said, smiling hopefully, "He just wants you to get better, so he's trying to make things work no matter what. If he's more confident about it then maybe that will pay off and it really will all work for the best." Of course failure was an option, it always was. But for this particular instance it had to be the last option, the one they had to try and avoid no matter what. Failure meant Viral would be perpetually depressed, and on top of that who knows what would happen to him physically. It was easy to see why he was in such a rut, there was a lot going against him. Viral could really use some positivity in his life, maybe even a hug. It couldn't hurt, so Yumi got herself up from her seat and walked around the table, dropping down right beside the Beastman. Flashing him a small smile she leaned in, giving him a nice big hug to try and help him settle. She should have known it was only going to bother him, hugs always did. "I am not going to poke myself. I'm hugging your chest, not your head," she joked lightly, letting go as she sat back on the seat. "And yeah... I guess you will have to wait. But don't think waiting is bad. At this point it's waiting to get better, right? So it's a good wait!"

There were all sorts of nasty words Takeshi could say to Choi, being teased about the Shaharians. Not his fault, how was he to know some lizards would be that strong? Plus they had swords, and other weapons, they weren't expecting that. Okay, perhaps he was making excuses, but that quip irritated him nonetheless. Rather than offer a rebuttal he would just let his fists do the talking, then they could see who was the better of them. "Pff.... Maybe I'm not pure-blooded, but I've got good heritage. My father might be a jerk but he's the King, so I've got that going for me," he answered, stopping as he turned with a smirk, "I guess we'll find out what's better, pure blooded Saiyans or half-breeds like me." Waving on Choi to begin he stayed on place, smiling all while the other boy came running in at him. Dodging the first punch he smacked away the second, blocking the third and fourth with his forearms. If he had to guess they were just getting a feel for one another right now, so this wasn't all that Choi could do. Pushing aside one arm as it came in, Takeshi stepped forward one bit and threw an open palm out at Choi's chest, trying to hit him and knock him back before answering with a series of punches of his own.

Kabocha knew he needed to be on his toes for this training session. T'charrl was big, strong and fast all wrapped into one, he wasn't an opponent you could take lightly. Sparring session or not he could get a good beating if he wasn't mindful of what was going on, he'd need to be on his toes. Rather than trying to go hand to hand with the Kaesstrian off the bat he resorted to dodging, using his smaller size to weave in and out of the strikes. He waited for an opening, a chance to move in, and finally got it when an arm went flying over his head. Stepping in quickly he tried to land punches both on T'charrl's gut and side, hoping to make him unsteady. He saw the second set of arms and knew they could be used, but had to try something anyways. Kabocha was forced to back off again when the lower limbs went in for the attack, narrowly avoiding being caught in the ribs with a punch. The individual strikes were fairly easy to dodge if you kept moving, and he did so by taking a leap back. Unfortunately for him he couldn't avoid the ramming attack that came next, his foot only just touching the floor. Instead he threw up his arms, jumping up slightly and curling as he took the brunt of the strike. Getting knocked back a ways he eventually straightened out, his feet hitting the wall with a resounding sound. Squatting he pushed himself off hard, flying right at T'charrl and throwing a punch when he got in close enough.
Yumi's ears folded back as she frowned, disheartened by just how dejected Viral was. It really was impossible for him to look at the positives, he was much too far depressed at this point. Even his medicine didn't help that much, all it did was mellow him out. "You just need to tell yourself you're not done yet. You're stronger than this, and we all know you can come back from it," she said, smiling gently, "It's why we're all pulling for you to recover, because we know you can do it. And we're here to help you along the way." Vegeta might be the only person that could offer actual help, but herself, the brothers, the twins, even the rest of them, everyone was supporting Viral in one way or another. With that many people hoping that he'd get better it was hard to just give up hope, that was too much support to ignore. Recalling his surprise birthday she almost considered having a sort of get together, but figured he'd sort of shut down from all the attention instead. "And you're not gone, you're just... Buried underneath all this sadness. I know that the great person who raised me and was one of my first friends is still there though, just waiting to come back out." He may not like it, but to hell with this. Yumi got up from her seat and moved around the table, taking the spot beside Viral with a small smile, leaning over and giving him an abrupt hug. "Everything is going to work out, just you watch."

If the training was to tease the other person then Takeshi was excelling in that regard. Fun as it was though it wasn't getting them anywhere, and he was rather eager to spar. Choi might not have been his first pick for an opponent, he'd rather Kai who he figured for a more methodical fighter, but a match was a match. "You're right, I can't. Not that I need to in order to beat you," he joked, grinning as he started walking off. Shu would be fighting Kai, and so long as the little guy was careful he would do fine. Kabocha and T'charrl was an interesting matchup, he wasn't entirely sure what to think about that one. If he finished up early he could always go jump in, though that was sort of unfair. "Oh yeah? Well I'm stronger too, you know. You're not the only one that's been training," Takeshi retorted, "But hey... Who knows, maybe you'll beat me!" Chuckling to himself he stopped by the far wall, hopping up and down in place a few times on the balls of his feet. After a few bounces he stood straight and ready, holding one arm out and waving Choi on to start the fight. No use in making the first move, he wanted to save some new tricks for later.

"Heh... Heh good, good. Because you know... I'd kick your butt if you tried stealing my energy," Kabocha said, smiling uneasily as he walked along. Totally awkward, what a pain. They were allies and he acknowledged T'charrl as such, but that didn't mean the Kaesstrians other forms were on the same page. Much as he'd love to become a meal for an alien he'd rather avoid that by any means necessary. Perhaps if he got frightened and soiled himself the stench alone would be enough to ward off any would be predators. "I know you don't mean to. But hey... Shu doesn't mean to go all wild either, but he does. It can't be helped." Not like he'd have to deal with T'charrl on his own anyways, the others were all here. Oh but what if Shu changed as well? Then they'd have two monsters on their hands, joy. Watching T'charrl bow awkwardly, Kabocha tilted his head to the side in confusion, not entirely certain what he was doing. Just as he had finished doing that the Kaesstrian jumped at him, taking the Saiyan by surprise. With a short gasp he flipped backwards to avoid the first blows, bouncing off of his hands and getting back on his feet. Dodging the subsequent punches, he tried to get down under them, going for T'charrl's side and stomach with strikes of his own.
Yumi pursed her lips, not quite sure how to answer Viral. Did T'charrl have a spirit inside of him? Technically they all did, but that wasn't what he meant. She had no idea, if that was the case then she had been left out of the loop in that regard. "I don't know... Does he? This is the first I'm hearing of it," she replied, lifting her shoulders in a shrug, "Even if he does, my point stands. He's strong enough to fight with and against people who do have Ki. And sure... Maybe you need the sun for your power, but with it you're just as powerful. It's just like how we're weak when we have no Ki left, it's all the same if you think about it." Smiling sympathetically, Yumi reached out and patted Viral's arm gently, "We're going to do everything we can to make sure that never happens. We're here for you completely and whenever you need us, you know that, right? And Vegeta is in the process of making things better, so it won't be long until you can start recovering. Try to look on the bright side, hm? Soon enough you'll be training right alongside me and Vegeta again, just like we used to."

The only way Choi could be anymore blatant about his aversion to Shu was if he said it outright. The little guy might be missing a beat, but Takeshi caught on and wasn't going to let this one slide by. "So... I'm the stronger of us, but you're worried he won't see you as a challenge? If he doesn't then what makes you think I would?" Really he would fight Choi with no complaints on his end, he didn't care who he fought with. Just a little fun with the guy before they got going, that was all. When Choi tried to defend his decision in front of Kai, Takeshi broke out into a small fit of laughter, clamping his mouth shut quickly but still letting giggles through. "Whatever you say, doofus. I just hope you are a challenge for me, otherwise I might go ape on you," he teased, starting to walk away from the others, waving Choi on to follow him. "We should probably all split up so we don't get in each other's way. Choi, come down to the other end of the room with me."

Oh boy, so they were really doing this after all. Kabocha wouldn't try weaseling his way out like Choi had done, even if he was awfully nervous. T'charrl was in another league entirely the last time he changed, if that happened again things would get bad real quick. The Princes didn't seem concerned though so maybe it was okay now, he'd have to play it by ear and see. "Heh... Good, good. Yeah, just say the word if something funny is going on," he said, chuckling nervously as he rubbed at his neck. Even if he didn't change, Kabocha wasn't completely familiar with T'charrl being like this. It was impossible to say then what he could do, or how he'd fight. "Just don't go crazy and we'll be fine! And uh... Don't absorb my energy." Kabocha added, not bothering with tact as he watched Takeshi and Choi wander off. Sighing to himself he scuffed a boot on the floor, glancing back over at T'charrl with a small smile. "May the best, uh... Fighter win?"
"So if it drags out then it hurts, but if it's quick..." Yumi mumbled, starting to piece things together. Made sense, the longer you had to endure something sometimes it became worse, in more way than one. Quick and painless wasn't just some random saying after all, there was actually truth behind it. She almost dared to suggest being rid of the transformations entirely. Not that she knew how that would be done, or if it even was possible. All the changes seemed to do was upset Viral though, so shouldn't he be better off if he wasn't going to transform? She'd have to pop that question to Vegeta later, though she could already foresee a big, bold 'no' as a reply. Looking towards the kitchen for a moment she glanced back at Viral, hoping to reassure him still about improving. "T'charrl doesn't really use Ki so much, but look how strong he is," Yumi pointed out, smiling, "And if he can do it, some kid who's nowhere near as battle hardened as you, then you can definitely catch up and surpass everyone. You might not have Ki, but you've got your own kind of energy, and yours is constantly replenished by the sun. That makes you stronger than any of us, because you don't run out." It was difficult staying optimistic when Viral was so down, but she had to for his sake. Maybe if she kept it up he'd get tired of being grumpy and depressed, perhaps even smile for a change. "The King won't kill you, or any of us. We'll all be there, and we're all going to watch each other's backs."

Takeshi was just getting all sorts of flustered, having weights thrown at him and Kai be a pain as usual. He was almost expecting some kind of snarky comment out of Choi just for the cherry on top, that would make him really blow a fuse. If everyone was going to be down here in the training hall then they should make the most use of it that they could. There were two groups of three, relatively close in strength. Since these three were so adamant about staying he was going to put them up to some sparring. In particular he wanted to see what pair of siblings were better fighters, himself and Shu or Kai and Choi. Waving down the twins he smirked, sharing the idea with them excitably. They didn't hate the idea, though Choi seemed uneasy. "Aw, what's wrong? Scared of Shu?" Takeshi teased, grinning for a moment before it waned, instead frowning as he pointed at Choi. "What a minute, so does that mean you're more scared of him than of me? I'm the stronger of the two, you know! You should be worried about fighting me!"

And there went Takeshi raving as he did. Kabocha couldn't blame Choi for his decision, he wouldn't want to face off against Shu either. Kai likely didn't as well, but he was the only one of their group who wouldn't complain. He had enough problems of his own going up against T'charrl. The last time they'd fought with him he'd gone all giant bug and created a massive tree in the middle of a city. Not the most reassuring notion going into a fight, even if it was just a spar. "Heh... Uh yeah, looks like it's me and him," he answered, smiling nervously as he rubbed at his head. Hooray, well with any luck this would be a short session. Looking over at T'charrl he slowly walked towards him, giving his knuckles a cracking as he did so. "So uh... We're fighting. Mind not turning me into a giant tree while we do?"
Poking and prodding at Viral's appendages might not be the best thing to do, but Yumi was curious. It wasn't like his other transformations where he completely changed, this was partial. And on top of that it was a mix and match, she'd never seen anything like it. "Oh... They hurt? Well I guess that makes sense, they do sort of just sprout out of you after all..." she commented, moving her hand away, "It looks like the pain subsides though, right? You don't seem to be hurting that much right now. Though that could be the medicine too..." If there was pain every time a person changed then she wanted no part of it. Sure, she could handle pain as well as the next fighter, perhaps better even. But that didn't mean she enjoyed it, she wasn't some sadist. Knowing how much pain Viral was in, both physically and mentally bothered Yumi to no end. The Saiyans should be made to pay for what they had done, and the fact they had to wait for the okay from the rebels was infuriating. That was a point both she and the Beastman could agree on. "Not all the rebels are scum, they're just... A pain to work with. I mean they are the good guys after all," she pointed out, "We'll fight the king soon enough, with or without the rebels. We're all really strong now, and once Vegeta helps you, you'll be one of the strongest again. Then we can all go over there and kick some butt, and you'll get your revenge. Believe me, I want it too, even if I know how wrong that is."

Takeshi managed to go from a good mood to utterly annoyed in the blink of an eye, courtesy of Kabocha. Hmph, they haven't seen one another for some time and this was how he greeted them? He could expect that sort of thing from the guy, or Choi, but he was surprised that Kai was taking part too. A nice way to say it would be Kai had a stick up his butt, he was always so 'in line' compared to everyone else. Part of growing up under the King, though that didn't stop the others. Shooting Kabocha a nasty look he glanced over at the twins, questioning why exactly things were so out of hand. "Well you're not stopping it either! Some responsible guy you are!" he fumed, pointing back at the weight, "That thing nearly took my head off!" Bah, and now Kabocha was laughing away because he was all flustered. Trying not to feed into it, Takeshi crossed his arms over his chest, sighing as he looked away. "So what are you guys doing down here anyways? We were going to use this room for training, so if you don't mind..."

Kabocha really missed bothering Takeshi, it was too easy to get him riled up. What was the big deal with tossing a weight anyways? They were Saiyans, at most it would give him a bruise, nothing more. Certainly not decapitate him like he'd so dramatically complained about. Having a bit of a laughing fit he grinned innocently, eying Takeshi as he spoke. "Sure thing, 'cept we're training down here too. And we were here first, so looks like we get to use it." This wasn't back at Kortal, and they weren't technically a squad anymore. Maybe he saw it that way, but the reality was they were comrades now, not a bunch of subordinates. So he could bark all he wanted but Takeshi wasn't getting his way. Prodding the beast a bit more, Kabocha walked over, placing an arm around the Prince's shoulders with a smirk, gesturing to the room with his thumb. "Tell you what though, this place is plenty big enough for all of us, so why don't we share? You take one half and we'll take the other, everyone wins."

Share the training hall? Not what Takeshi had in mind, at all. It certainly was large enough for six people, room wasn't the question. It was more a concern of just how well T'charrl could hold himself together. He didn't think their friend would change, but that didn't mean he wasn't taking precautions to make doubly sure. Throwing him in the mix with tons of other people only increased the chances that something might go wrong. Or maybe it wouldn't, Takeshi didn't have a clue how those changes worked, or came about even. It sure didn't seem like there was any other option, unless they wanted to go and find another room. Like hell his pride would let him be thrown out though. "Fine, we can share the room, if that's how it's gotta be," he answered, grinning as she shrugged off Kabocha's arm. If they wanted to butt in then so be it, he'd make use of them being here. "Since we're all training, why don't we do it together, huh? A three on three!" Looking up at the twins he stepped forward, motioning for them to come down. "What do you think guys? Want to see what pair of brothers is stronger?"
Vegeta was going to move off of the transforming conversation now. Viral had enough of that throughout the day without Yumi bringing it up. He knew she was only trying to help, but far as he was concerned the best thing right now was to get off of that topic. Besides they were in the kitchen, food was more on his mind at any rate. He'd denied himself food quite often as of late, and as such each time he was going to eat he was usually famished. Reminding himself they were here for Viral's sake moreso than his own he asked the Beastman if there was anything in particular he'd like. "Wouldn't that be cannibalism?" he asked, smiling slightly, "We have fish, that's close enough. Perhaps we'll do some of that, and some mixture of sides. Keep it simple." With just three of them it was a touch excessive to cook a whole lot. Viral wouldn't eat much, Yumi likely had eaten recently, and Vegeta had no intention of binging. "I'll get to cooking, it shouldn't take too long. You two just go ahead and relax for a bit." The chance to be alone with his thoughts was necessary, he had to think things through. Viral's treatment would have to be set on a schedule, and the treatment itself administered carefully. It was a lot of logistics to sort out, and the sooner he could get on that the better.

Yumi wasn't going to argue, she had little desire to cook right now. Taking the seat directly across from Viral she nodded appreciatively to Vegeta, smiling as he left them alone. "So... Fins, huh?" she asked, eying the new appendages on the Beastman's arm curiously. Could she get things like that too? Or were her changes going to be entirely different? Could she even change? Leaning down she laid an arm across the table, her chin setting down on top of it idly. "What's it feel like? Does it hurt?" Like a curious child she reached out, and with her fingertips grazed over the fleshy protrusions, wondering what it felt like. A little coarse and cooler than she'd expected, it must be odd having those. And that wasn't even including the horns and tail, and whatever else Viral might have now. After prodding for a moment she withdrew her hand, folding both arms under her chin and releasing a long sigh. "Now that he's gone... I'm going to be honest. All of this waiting around for the rebels really sucks. I want to go knock that creep of a king around for what he did to us. But we're supposed to wait for the okay before doing that," Yumi mumbled, lifting her head slightly to look at Viral. "You think the same thing, don't you? That we should just go now?"

T'charrl was getting worried over nothing, he wasn't going to change. Takeshi didn't feel threatened in the slightest by their friend, not in his current state. Sure, when he did change it was nightmare fuel for him, but so long as that didn't happen they had no problems. "You did help us though! Shu and I were getting our butts handed to us, you came in and saved the day. Granted you kind of scared the crap out of a ton of people doing it, but... Eh, they'll get over it." Better that a few Shaharians have to have nightmares for a while than he and Shu be back in their father's clutches. Not really selfish considering how bad the latter was either, he didn't feel the least bit sorry for the Shaharians. "Big feelings? I guess that's like overwhelmed," Takeshi explained, stopping just short of the training hall. "It's like when you feel too much of something, and it's a lot to handle at once, kind of like that," he continued, gesturing with his arms for 'big', "Kind of like when you absorbed energy, you know? You could say you were overwhelmed by all the energy." Hah, they hadn't even meant to and already T'charrl was learning from them. This teaching stuff was easier than he thought, Takeshi didn't get the whole deal with it. Going to the console he began putting in the password, smiling over at his friend and brother. "So we'll train hard, but not too hard. And we can take a break if you feel like things are getting out of hand." Letting the doors slide open he stepped into the room, rolling one of his shoulders preemptively. Out of the corner of his eye he caught some movement, turning his head to see what it was. Good thing he spotted it as a large weight was flying through the air, to which Takeshi ducked to avoid. Squatting down as it crashed a ways behind him with a resounding bang he glanced up, blinking before scowling and pointing at a trio of figures. "Watch it you idiots! You nearly took my head off!"

Throwing heavy weights around was a bit of an odd training regiment, but it seemed to be working. Kabocha thought it was, he could certainly feel the burn. And gods know it was hard to keep a grasp on something that massive while spinning. After getting a good rotation going around he finally released the latest weight, sending it hurtling across the room as they had done before. He didn't notice anything awry until he heard a voice, and was pretty sure that the weights couldn't talk. "Hey, I'd recognize that complaining voice anywhere!" he chimed, grinning as he looked towards the door at a miffed Takeshi. "Long time no see, Takeshi! Sorry for almost flattening you!" That was some way to make an entrance. It's what he got for just waltzing on in here too, they weren't the only ones that used the room. Leaving Choi and Kai where they were he drifted over towards the others, though keeping his distance unless he was going to get pummeled. "Shu and T'charrl too? It must be our lucky day! To what do we owe this visit from the Princes and their friend?" Kabocha asked, making no attempts to hide the teasing tone of his voice.

"Har har har, you're hilarious Kabocha," Takeshi mumbled, picking himself up and dusting himself off. Just what were they doing anyways, tossing weights around like that? Good thing the room maintained itself, otherwise Vegeta would be righteously pissed at what was going on in here. So the room wasn't empty, that was annoying. There were others obviously but this was their usual one, he'd prefer to keep it that way. It was fairly big in of itself, so maybe both groups could train at the same time, so long as the twins or Kabocha didn't pelt them with training weights. "We're here to do some training, and by that I mean real training, not... Whatever you guys are doing," he continued, waving a hand dismissively. Looking past Kabocha and up at the twins, Takeshi raised an eyebrow, pointing again at Kai, "I'm surprised you're letting these knuckleheads do this. I though you were the responsible one."
"That's not what I meant. Don't worry about it though, it's not a big deal right now." Yumi wanted to try her damnedest to avoid saying anything that might upset Viral. He might be loopy, but at least he wasn't depressed. Not wholly anyways, this was still an improvement. Clearly the pills had side effects for him, which was the reason why Vegeta was so against them. She just didn't trust them on principle alone, a pill couldn't cheer you up, not really anyways. Good thing they were here to help him, otherwise the Beastman wouldn't be lifting so much as a foot while he was this loopy. "I mean my abilities! If I have any, that is," she explained, smiling hopefully, "I want to know if I inherited anything from you since I was changed. Have to look at the positives, right? Maybe I can take energy from the sun, or I can detect things other people can't. I don't know about transforming like you do... I think you can keep that. But I want to know!" Her eyes shone with a particular excitement as she spoke, she did have plenty of curiosities about herself. And now in the comfort of her friends she could lighten up a bit and try to find something good out of her predicament. Nearly backing right into the wall as they rounded the corner she spun on her heel, eying the mess hall down a ways. "You'll have someone to fight who's more like you. That's a good thing, right?"

Hm, leave it to Yumi to find the positives in a bad situation. Vegeta tried to emulate that, but usually his positives were more along the lines of 'At least you're not dead'. That was a positive, right? She'd always done that though, even if it was retrospectively after a situation. If someone could find something good in having a drunk for a father then they were damn optimistic. These last few months had put a bit of a damper on that, but now he was starting to see that again. "Hm... If I can get you back to normal won't this whole request be moot?" he asked, smiling faintly, "Not to put a damper on things, but it might be a bit unnecessary, that's all I'm saying." Slowing the pace even further as they reached the door he let Yumi through first, following suit with Viral at his side. "Though... I'm sure there's plenty that Viral can teach you either way. He is a seasoned warrior after all." To make things more convenient they took the table closest to the kitchen, and Vegeta stopped to settle his friend into one of the seats, propping Viral up with a hand on his back just to be sure. "What are you in the mood for, Viral?"

In spite of being properly freaked out by the change, Takeshi didn't think T'charrl was going to go and transform on them. "Don't be apologizing, you did nothing wrong," folding his hands behind his head, "You're like Shu, I think. You change when you get stressed or really angry. And since you're just with us I doubt you'll be either of those. So relax, yeah? You'll be fine." Far as he knew they had never made one another angry, certainly not to the point of going rampant. The only person who could probably make either Shu or T'charrl change was Haku, and he was likely back in his room per usual. "You can fight now, you did before. Though you did kind of change on us... But that was different! It won't happen, but if it makes you feel better we'll take things nice and slow." Not that he and Shu typically went all in during training anyways. Nine times out of ten they got a bit of sparring in then broke out into impromptu games, pretty safe to say that wasn't going to induce a change. "If you want to get strong though we'll have to train kind of hard. Can you just tell us if you start feeling... I don't know, overwhelmed? So we know when to stop."
