Yumi could only see things ending one of two ways now, and one of them was really bad. Either she somehow managed to get Viral to calm down, which seemed far off, and they avoided anyone getting hurt. Or... She had to hurt him to make him stop, which for plenty of reasons was bad. If push came to shove though she'd do it, both to protect herself and Viral as well. If he changed again and went on a rampage there was no telling what might happen, she needed to do something to prevent that. Out of a bit of desperation she tried again just calling out to her friend in hopes her voice would be familiar, that it might do something. The Beastman didn't appear to acknowledge her however and perhaps even aggravated him, as seconds later he was coming back for another attack. Yumi wasn't quite certain, but she swore she could see his energy right now. It was so out of control and erratic it seemed to be spouting off of him in sharp bursts, like electrical discharge almost. It was probably no good at this point, she needed to do something to stop her friend. Holding out both hands she gathered Ki in both, placing them together at the wrists to form a singular, large Ki ball. As Viral leaped up in the air she watched with a pained expression, mouthing the words 'I'm sorry' before letting her energy release in one singular, concentrated blast aimed at knocking her friend away and hopefully out of this fight.

"I really doubt Ki control is doing it, Shu. Wouldn't I have gone and changed too then when I was learning? I mean... We're brothers, so if it happened to you then it would happen to me, don't you think?" They weren't exactly the same, mind you, not like Kai and Choi were. Really unless you knew better then you probably wouldn't guess he and Shu were siblings. They looked and acted completely different, scarcely sharing any traits whatsoever. But even so they shared their Father's genes, so if one thing triggered a transformation for one it should for the other too. "Nah... Goku wasn't mean, yeah? And he was the strongest out of all of those guys before us, so that wouldn't be it. People can be strong and not be mean." Neither of those sounded like they fit, it had to be something to do with emotions. That was about all Takeshi could come up with as an explanation and Vegeta might be able to back it up if he had some time for Shu. Frowning to himself he pushed back from the table a bit, running a hand through his hair, "I don't know... Vegeta can do that therapy stuff with you though, he can figure out why you're changing. I'll try too, but he's better at this mental stuff than I am." Turning to Shu, Takeshi smiled sadly and gave a nod of his head, "I know buddy... I know. We'll make it so you don't have to worry about that anymore, I promise."
Whatever was going on with Viral was worrisome quite a bit. Yumi didn't know for sure if he was losing control though it seemed likely and had no idea what to do about it. She could always try the whole 'sweet talking' nonsense, though it hadn't quite worked before and it may not work now either. It didn't help that the Beastman was bearing down on her like a wild storm either, that gave little time to think. The only thing that came to her mind was protecting herself, and she did so with a small gathering of Ki. Hardly enough to cause damage, but that wasn't the intent anyways, just to push Viral back. Once he was close enough she pressed the Ki to his abdomen before releasing it, watching in silent relief as he was sent flying back. "Viral, please stop! This isn't fun anymore!" she shouted, just trying to get through to him. Her words were to fall on deaf ears unfortunately, Viral showed no clear signs of stopping. When he rose back up he just had a purely furious look on his face, clearly he hadn't heard her. What's worse was he was gathering energy and doing so at an alarming rate. That would be fair play any other time since she had used it, but Viral loathed using energy. If he was doing it then something wasn't right. Eying the energy uneasily she gasped when it was fired, having to dive to the side to avoid being hit. Behind her she could hear it slam into the wall, a sizzling noise coming from it melting into some of the wall. Rolling when she landed she quickly got back onto her feet, her eyes going to Viral nervously. How was she supposed to stop him? "Viral, it's me! I'm not your enemy!"

It wasn't easy making Shu feel any better, certainly not with the others giving him mixed messages. Takeshi figured the only way he was going to help his brother was take him somewhere alone so they could just have fun, no one around to scrutinize or poke fun at him. Even if it was just their friends being idiots the little guy was getting upset, either that or he just really felt like giving his knees a hug. Smiling sympathetically, Takeshi placed a hand on Shu's head and did his best at trying to cheer his brother up a bit. "Huh... I never though about that before..." he mumbled, taking his hand back and folding both arms over his chest. "But that doesn't make sense... You'd think you changing randomly is because you can't control your energy, not the other way around. So that doesn't sound right..." It wasn't so much an energy issue with Shu energy as it was emotional. Far as he knew anyways his brother would change not because of Ki but due to his emotions running wild, and making him change in turn. He could be wrong, he probably was too, but that was his best guess. "You get angry every time you change, you know? I bet that's it. And... Maybe something Father did makes it harder, sort of how it is for Viral, yeah? Maybe something they're doing for him could work for you... Could always ask Vegeta."
Yumi had just narrowly avoided being skewered by Viral's horns, probably a mistake on his part. Her struggles didn't end there however as he tried to capitalize on her current position. She was all for fighting like this, but the way Viral was going about it wasn't right. Something was going wrong, she feared she knew the answer but didn't want to accept it. To avoid being turned into ribbons by the Beastman she pulled her legs up, getting her feet flush against his abdomen before pushing him off, scrambling to her feet once freed. Things had gone from just plain intense to worrisome and she was starting to think they should stop. Before she could so much as voice that idea she was beset on again, Viral wasting no time in coming at her with swipes of his claws. Those were quite sharp, and the indiscriminate way that Viral was throwing them around could lead to a ton of trouble for Yumi if she were hit. "Viral! You're going too far, stop!" she shouted, ducking under the claws, watching as a bit of her hair was caught and cleaved clean off like a razor had struck it. If that hit her skin it was going to do some serious damage. Like it or not the reality of what was happening was abundantly clear, Viral was going berserk and potentially on the brink of changing. Fearing a bit for her own safety Yumi formed a ball of Ki in one of her hands, glancing up at Viral from where she was crouched. "Sorry..." she mumbled, throwing the hand forward and slamming the Ki into him, trying to make him fly backwards.

"We'll go back to a planet as soon as we can I'm sure. Especially if we all complain about it." They were probably taking a leisurely pace for Viral's sake, not wanting to rush things and put him in a poor position. It was fine and all to worry about Viral, every one of them were at some point or another, but they had to keep in mind he wasn't the only one with problems. Takeshi was constantly reminded of that with Shu, he just had no idea how to go about helping him. T'charrl's issues might have fallen to the wayside a little but that didn't make them any less pressing than what the others had. His issues could even be worse for all they knew, none of them probably had any idea just how bad they were considering he never spoke about it. It was settled then, they had to go find their friend after this and spend time with him, maybe they could do something to at least alleviate his problems a little bit. As for Shu... That was another beast entirely, literally. Takeshi had no ideas shy of removing his little brother's tail and that wasn't going to fly with anyone, least of all Shu. Were that suggestion not bothersome enough for Shu, Kabocha had to go and open his mouth, making the younger boy to sound out like a freak. Sending a silent glare in his friend's direction, Takeshi reached over and placed a hand on his sibling's head, giving him a gentle smile. "We'll work on you having control though. You figured out how to use Ki, and how to talk. If you can do that then controlling something you've had all along will be easy!"
It was all Yumi could do to just avoid being pounded into the ground right now. Watching Viral throw punches as he was it was difficult to figure out just how strong his attacks were, though she knew they had been gradually getting stronger as they sparred. She was happy he was finding a rhythm of sorts but wasn't quite ready for an all out fight right now. Nor did she think that was a good idea, even if Viral was trying to get to that point. For a short while all she did was try to evade and dodge, hoping that being a moving target was enough to keep Viral invested and going. He was still angry and agitated though, she could almost sort of feel it, which was odd. Either that or he looked it, she couldn't quite discern what it was. Either way dodging around wasn't going to cut it, she needed to stay in this she figured. Avoiding being smacked to the ground she dashed back at Viral, trying to do the same with him. Getting her hands on his shoulders she grabbed a fistful in each, flipping over him and then flipping him in turn, right onto his back. Landing on the mats barely created any noise and with any luck didn't hurt too much. Certainly didn't look to as Viral was quick to recover, and even quicker to go on the offensive again. Yumi's eyes widened as she was unexpectedly beset upon, Holding her arms out to block as she was knocked to the ground, finding the Beastman on top of her. Pulling her legs up she tried to get them under Viral and push him off, really not liking being pinned. Why was he being so aggressive?

Takeshi couldn't see any reason that T'charrl wouldn't come out with them. A good reason anyways, he was sure their friend would try a few excuses before ultimately agreeing. He didn't get why that was, he'd think T'charrl would want to come spend time with them and not be locking himself up all the time. "T'charrl does get a lot of energy from planets, doesn't he...? Maybe he's not feeling well because we haven't been on one for a few days?" Beyond that he couldn't really guess, what else could be bothering their friend? Now that he considered it this could be nerves about returning to Kaesstra too. That was the plan right now and yet T'charrl was still not his old self, changed and mutated almost beyond recognition to some. It had been their promise to help get him back and they'd done a pretty lousy job of that thus far. It could be he was just afraid of showing up and upsetting someone. "Oh yeah... I guess you did change in the jungle huh? I almost forgot about that... You did level a lot of it too..." Takeshi mumbled, squirming a bit as he recalled the event. "And I don't think being a Saiyan has to evolve going all Oozaru. Though I guess the only way to stop it is to lose your tail..." he added, looking at his brother's tail uncertainly. That wouldn't be happening any time soon, if at all. Shu was much too attached to his tail, literally and figuratively.

"Wait wait wait... So you have that weird monkey form AND an Oozaru form...?" Kabocha asked, leaning past Takeshi to look at Shu. "That doesn't even make sense! How can you have two forms?" Unless you counted things like Super Saiyan, not a single other Saiyan could change two times like Shu could. It just wasn't something their people did, normally. He supposed that Shu was anything but normal in more ways than one. Letting out an exasperated sigh he shook his head, settling back in his chair and glancing down at his empty plate. So the one person in their own group they had to worry about could change not once, but twice. And all it would take was a full moon. Lovely, Kabocha really had no desire to be fighting an Oozaru, certainly not one that was just rampant. "I'm guessing you can't control either form, can you?"
Yumi hadn't the faintest idea where this aggression came from, or what brought it about. She'd stopped talking and should have stopped making Viral angry then, right? Plus she wasn't really pulling her punches any more so he shouldn't be feeling slighted. If something was pissing him off then she didn't know what it was and didn't think it was worthwhile to even ask. The best she could do now was try to match the Beastman's level and stay with him, which shouldn't be too difficult given his less than perfect health. Yet as they were going on she was finding his punches to be much more solid, and they were quicker as well. The gap between herself and the wall was shortening quick, and if she were cornered then she might be in for a real pounding. Opting to avoid that Yumi dashed past Viral, trying to get back to the center of the room once more. Over her shoulder she had fortunately caught sight of him leaping after her, stopping abruptly and jumping to the side to avoid being squashed. Before he even landed she dashed back in, making an attempt to grab him by the shoulders and flip him onto the mats. It wouldn't be hard with the padding but she hoped it might disorient him, if only for a moment.

"Maybe we should go stop by when we're done here? See if he wants to come play?" Takeshi suggested, smiling a bit, "It won't change him back, but it'll make him feel better. He kind of seems like he's been down the last few days." He may not have been huge on sparring but surely T'charrl could go for some games with them. The guy was around their age after all, he had to like playing like they did. As Shu pointed out their biggest problem with helping their friend was the fact that he always tended to run off. No matter what they were doing he tried to be alone, for whatever reason. It didn't take someone with a PhD to know that being alone when you had problems wasn't going to solve anything, it would only make it worse. Aside from getting thrashed by the Queen for failing to help it would be just really lousy if they couldn't do anything for T'charrl. In Takeshi's mind then that was that, they were going to try bringing the Kaesstrian along with them for some play to try cheering him up some. "Hopefully you didn't. You've never gone actual Oozaru since we've been together."
If Viral wanted to fight a bit more seriously then Yumi would gladly indulge him. She would still stick to basic martial arts, it just meant she wouldn't pull her punches as much. Maybe that was what had him all upset, her going easier than she could be. Figuring this was what he wanted she put a bit more force into each hit, coming at Viral like he had her. The retaliation was short lived as she had found herself on her back after abruptly being grabbed, pretty darn confused how that had happened. Okay, she really hadn't thought he would be capable of that, all things considered. Getting to her feet she eyed Viral curiously as she was not sure at all what was going on here. There was little time to question things as Viral wasn't through, coming after her with more heavy blows. Rather than try to block Yumi simply began dodging around, having to move in earnest to avoid these. Either sparring was really helping him or something was very off, she hoped it was the former. Finding the distance between herself and the wall ever shrinking she took one glance back before frowning, knowing she had to move. Waiting for one of Viral's punches to come in she ducked under it, putting a hand on his side and trying to push him away as she darted past him, moving for the middle of the room.

"I know, I know... We don't know how to help him though," Takeshi mumbled with a frown, pushing around a bit of food on his plate. "We tried helping him a few different times and nothing's changed. If there is a way to help then that floating spirit guy needs to come out and say it." Except hadn't he already? It was hard to remember, that spirit hadn't been the most clear thing to speak to. They probably did have the answer and he was just forgetting it in a very inconvenient brain fart. Though he wanted to lie to Shu and say T'charrl was fine it was just that, a lie. Transforming probably did hurt the Kaesstrian, it wasn't exactly a walk in the park for Saiyans. Takeshi could vaguely remember one of his own transformations, it felt like a sudden onset of growing pains, emphasis on the pains part. "He's tough. Even if it does hurt a little bit he'll manage. And we'll be around to help him." Or they would try to be. Takeshi reluctantly acknowledged that he and Shu weren't around for T'charrl much as they could be, when they probably should be near constantly. Maybe when they were through here he'd slip the idea to his brother about going to pay their friend a visit instead. Getting asked about how the moon changed a Saiyan was a head scratcher for him, namely since he'd not bothered to pay attention to the explanation before. Why would he when he didn't have a tail? Kai knew though and was happy enough to enlighten both Takeshi and Shu on the matter. "So that's how it works... Makes sense, I guess..."

"There's ways around it though, tricks that we can use," Kabocha added, smiling as he wiped his mouth with a napkin, "Like that Power Ball technique. We can make our own moons if we need to for transforming. Only thing that sucks about that is it uses up a ton of energy, but I guess it's worth it to get the power of Oozaru." It was a fairly simple technique to use too, all three of them could probably make use of it if need be. There were plenty of issues in doing so though, the least of which was how much Ki it took to generate. If you weren't strong enough it was hard to control your Oozaru form, though it was a curious matter with Shu in that regard who should be plenty strong. Plus there was the whole vulnerability bit. Everyone knew a Saiyan's tail was a weak spot, unless you trained it to avoid that. There was always getting it severed though which was insurmountably easier when the Saiyan turned into a massive monkey. "Honestly I don't think I've ever transformed before, never needed to. We're all fine on our own, Oozaru just seems kind of like a liability to me."
If Yumi didn't know better she might think Viral was actually getting angry with her. She couldn't imagine why, she wasn't using Ki, wasn't being rude and was trying to be considerate of his condition. The latter might do it, sure, but she was putting more pack into her punches now, so that should fix that. Whatever the case was, Viral was clearly becoming frustrated and she had no clue as to why that was. His anger carried through in his hits and she was finding them to have quite the impact, probably leaving a few bruises for her later. After a slight pummeling on her part Yumi went on the offensive, not content with being a punching bag. Taking an aggressive approach she managed to get Viral backing off now, landing a hit now and again as the Beastman could do nothing but defend. Momentum was on her side plain as day while she was doing this and she had no intention of letting up just because Viral looked to be struggling a bit. If he asked or it was obvious she needed to back off she would, but not for anything else. Soon enough however she did stop, albeit not of her own volition. Eyes widening in surprise as both fists were grabbed she looked up at Viral, then gasped as her vision suddenly went to the ceiling as she was slammed down onto the floor. On more of a reaction she rolled to the side, shifting her weight and rolling on her shoulders before jumping to her feet. Where the heck had that come from?

So both he and Shu were tired of space travel, no surprise there. Everyone probably was at this point, even while working as a squad they hadn't been in ships so much. Whatever planet they were going to next Takeshi wouldn't mind spending a few days there, just to settle down and enjoy themselves. With absolutely nothing from the rebels they had no idea how to proceed, and they'd already been to a few worlds as it stood, so it wasn't as if they weren't trying. If Korian or Sayomi called then they'd get back to it, otherwise a break from it all sounded fun. "Maybe we can go to Kaesstra, see how everyone there is doing. Though I guess there's a slight problem with that..." Namely T'charrl, he hadn't changed back yet. They'd promised the Queen they would help him and yet so far it felt like they had done anything but. Their friend's power was constantly running away from him and none of them knew quite how to go about helping him. Vegeta probably could if he didn't have his hands full with Viral, which left them, the rather less intelligent members of the group to figure it out. "Maybe it's how strong the moon is? Something in the moon changes Saiyans... Some waves or something like that..." Takeshi mumbled, giving his head a scratch. Glancing over momentarily at Choi he rolled his eyes, turning back to Shu. "We can always ask him if you really want to know. I've got no idea if he likes the dark or not."
Yumi decided just to quit talking, all it was doing was aggravating Viral. Shame too, sparring like this was just sort of dull if you didn't chat with your partner. Ah well, this wasn't wholly for her enjoyment anyways, and it wasn't as if she didn't want to do it in spite of silence. That was probably better for her either way as she could focus more on what she was doing. Good thing, that, since Viral was hitting a bit harder now than before. Considering he'd needed help walking here she hadn't quite expected this level of strength out of him, it was making things interesting. She was actually having to go on the defensive and try to avoid being hit, not what she expected out of this. Yumi could block the blows easily enough but had to keep backing up to keep herself at a safe distance and pretty soon they were walking around on the mat in circles. Eventually one of Viral's attacks did get through, a jab that caught her shoulder and nearly made her spin around where she stood. Stopping herself she again got a nice hit on the chest, wincing as she stumbled back more and raised her fists protectively, blocking a few subsequent blows. Finally she tried to get back to attacking on her part, pushing Viral's arms away when they came at her and beginning to punch in quick succession, hoping to make Viral back up this time.

Takeshi couldn't really care what they did at this point, so long as it made Shu feel better. Whether it was playing games, learning, or even that weird grooming thing he liked to do. Anything was preferable to seeing his little brother all gloomy and upset. "If you feel like you need a nap then we'll take one. If not I guess we can play more?" he asked, shrugging as he skewered another piece of bacon-sausage and popped its entirety into his mouth. "We sleep too much on this stupid ship, I don't like it. I want to get back onto a planet soon, otherwise I might go nuts." How funny it would be if he knew Shu had been thinking the exact same thing seconds before. Apparently saying he would 'go nuts' struck a chord in their friends, because Takeshi swore he saw them flinch out of the corner of his eye. Probably over something related to Shu, no doubt. Tch... He spent more time with his little brother than anyone else and he had no worries, there was no reason for them to be such babies about it. "The moon's out all the time, you know," he pointed out, smiling as he paused to let out a burp, "Ah... Just the moon changes depending on where we are. Tons of moons in space, I guess that could make it real confusing." Actually, all of this traveling in general was just a pain. When they had been back on Earth getting to sleep had been a chore in of itself, and the longer they were out, Takeshi reasoned, the worse it would be. Hopefully they'd get back home sooner than last time...
"Not what I meant and you know it," Yumi retorted, brushing aside another incoming punch, "You're the best person for this, that's all I'm saying!" So she was a bit less than eloquent when focusing on sparring, hard to be guilty of that. She hadn't meant to come across as offensive but clearly had, considering how angry Viral both looked and sounded. What's more she was pretty certain he was swinging harder too. Being taken aback by the strength behind one of the swings she stumbled back slightly, barely managing to catch a second fist as it flew at her. Opting to do the same she waited until there was an opening before throwing back some hits of her own, getting those blocked as well. For someone who hadn't been optimistic about themselves Viral was doing an awfully good job keeping up right now. Just by sparring Yumi could tell he wasn't at 100%, as if she didn't know that already, yet even so this wasn't a cakewalk. Missing a high punch to Viral's jaw, Yumi quickly raised both arms and blocked another punch, with her arms preoccupied with the first she took a second blow just below her diaphragm, gasping as she was slightly lifted off her feet by it. The strike wasn't particularly strong nor did it hurt, but she hadn't expected it. Pushing the offending arm away she took a step back, now resorting to weaving about to avoid being hit again. "You're doing really well! Keep it up!"

Eh... Maybe going to the zoo was a bad idea after all. If they did go and found some of Shu's clan there it could be an awfully awkward situation. What would be even worse is if Shu wanted to get his former family out, then they would have to break out some animals. Just where in the heck would they keep a pack of monkeys anyways? Takeshi's first thought was his home, and immediately an image of monkeys ransacking his place came to mind. Poo being flung left and right, furniture trashed, everything ruined... Frowning at that idea he decided the zoo was best avoided, they could learn about animals some other way. More on topic, what in the world were they doing after the meal? He couldn't care one way or the other, his primary focus right now was just finding something to get Shu a bit happier. The little guy by the sounds of it agreed with that sentiment, he just wanted to feel better too. "Tell you what... We'll go ahead and play, for a while anyways. Then before we go to our room we'll find a book. I'll tell you what's in them, then we can go back and try learning some stuff from it. That sound okay to you?" This way Shu would learn about what only he wanted to, which if he was interested in it then maybe it would be easier for him. Or it could be a total bust and just leave the little guy confused, which was always a likely possibility.
"I miss simple fights! Everyone else is always trying to be flashy and use Ki, no one fights like this," Yumi retorted, smiling as she blocked another of Viral's punches, "You're the only person that fights like this regularly, that's why you're the best person for it." Takeshi would get tired of it, Shu was a bit too erratic, the twins just weren't the most used to it far as she could tell. And with Vegeta working all the time, being too busy to breathe let alone train that left Viral as her only viable option. That wasn't the only reason she wanted to spar with him, fighting with him was just fun and certainly different than everyone else. Blocking an incoming punch with her forearm she blinked in surprise with how hard that punch was, stumbling back slightly. Blocking a second one her feet slid back a little, and she had to duck down to avoid a third. "Wow, you've still got plenty of fight in you!" Yumi said, smiling up at Viral. Standing back up she began to move back and forth a bit, throwing her own punches both high and low, trying to see how well he could keep up with her.

The best way to teach Shu anything was probably by showing him, explanations didn't seem to work whatsoever. "Uh... I doubt there's anyone from your clan there. I mean they were pretty far away, right?" Come to think of it though Walruses weren't exactly native to East City, nor were most of the animals. It was possible then someone from Shu's clan could be in the zoo, however it was unlikely. Biting down on another sausage he wondered what the chances were even of finding his brother's family, regardless of where they might be. Reasonable to think they would still be in the jungle, if Shu even remembered how to get back there. If they weren't there then they might be captive somewhere, or dead. Takeshi really hoped it wasn't the latter, that would utterly ruin his little brother. "Eh? We can play if you wanna. Whatever you want to do buddy," he replied, biting down on another curry bun and gasping as a bit of filling trickled down on his chin. Catching it with a finger he licked it off, smiling happily at how tasty the food was. "We've had a busy day, so if you just want to play before we sleep then that's cool, anything you want to do is fine by me."
