"He sleeps though, I think... I mean he says he does and I don't see why he'd lie. Granted too it might only be for a few hours but that's still better than nothing," Yumi said, "The way I see it regardless of what he comes out with your condition is going to improve, that's a given. Even if he doesn't solve everything this time around you'll get better, and any improvement is good." Vegeta was sort of hyping up his own work, saying how he'd have Viral healed within a few weeks now. That was a tall order to fill and she didn't doubt he believed he could accomplish it. Who knew what the reality of this situation was, no one would until they got to that point. It was easier for her to be optimistic and hope for the best until then, for her sake and for Viral's. The Beastman might be in slightly better spirits if he could actually sleep which, as he so poignantly said he wasn't so good at. Goodness knows she became cranky whenever she went without a good nap for long. "Well we can help you keep track then, if that will help. We could be totally wrong at guessing what time it is too since we're going off of clocks set on Earth, but it sort of helps keep a schedule together. I definitely can't see it hurting." Plus, knowing the time and what day it was could help Viral get a perspective on how close he was to getting help at last. "I know you won't give up, that's why I'm not either. And I'm going to make sure no matter what you don't change your mind on that."

It was nice, doing this for Shu and T'charrl. Even if it wasn't a whole lot of fruit it was a little something for them to snack on, and they both looked to appreciate it. Good thing too because otherwise getting covered in mango would have been all for naught, excluding the fact that was his own fault to begin with. Takeshi went ahead and took a seat alongside the wall by the bed, grabbing his soiled shirt and laying it out beside him. Over the whole being squirted with fruit juice pretty quick with the mention of Viral he smiled at the others, happy to have something to share for a change. He was excited too about getting back to sword training, something he'd still been wanting to do for a while. Nodding his head in agreement the Saiyan looked over at T'charrl, smiling apologetically as he itched at his nose. "I suppose you could, huh? I just figured you've got a lot going on and couldn't be bothered, that's all. If you're willing to teach me though then hey, I'm all for it." Hopefully Viral wasn't going to be offended if he went elsewhere, though the Beastman seemed reluctant to be teaching in the first place, so maybe it wouldn't be a huge issue. "Viral fights a lot, he's basically been fighting ever since we met him. Hell, that's how we met him. He always tries to fight and can get really pissed when he can't, which you've seen. I really want him to get well again, it's kind of awesome watching him fight, you know? Someone without any sort of Ki tearing it up on the battlefield, it's cool."
"How often does Vegeta make something that doesn't work, or do something wrong? Honestly, think about that. His track record has me hopeful enough, and if you thought about it I'm sure you wouldn't have to worry so much." Yumi didn't try to reassure Viral about how his body might react since she hadn't a clue how that was going to work. Not only did she not wholly understand the process but she did have some small reservations about it. They had done stem cells of sorts before from what she understood, so why wasn't that option explored already? Granted Vegeta may have had to find the problem before he could do anything about it but still, this solution was there and waiting for a while. All she could do for now was try and reassure the Beastman that things would turn out fine, even with no knowledge of the treatment. "Hm? Oh... I mean I've got a clock in my room, so I use that. Of course I don't know how accurate it is with us flying around everywhere, it could be totally wrong. I have to keep track of time while we're on here, otherwise I feel like I might go insane. I'm not the only one that's been doing it either, Vegeta has and so have Takeshi and Shu. I'm sure the others are too." It let everyone know how close they were to making landfall, something everyone wanted quite badly at this point. "You? You're toughing things out until you can start get better, I think. And you're doing a great job of it."

Oh jeez, were Shu and T'charrl even still in the latter's room? Takeshi hadn't even considered that fact up until now, with the room not being all too far off. He didn't have any desire to eat this fruit despite nabbing a mango and he couldn't just leave it lying around, could he? He couldn't imagine where the pair might go wander off to, there was not a whole lot either would either understand or know where it was on their own. He was getting all worried over nothing as he found both his brother and friend in the room as he had left them, sitting around with not much going on between them. "Hey guys, brought some snacks for ya," he said, smiling as he placed the tray down on a small end table beside the bed. Now that his hands were free he could try doing something about his now sticky shirt too. Grimacing he reached down and grabbed the hem of it, tugging it up and off before dropping it at his feet. "I'll uh, get that later. I feel like a smoothie wearing that... Oh! Before I forget, I guess Viral's going to be better soon. At least that's kind of what it sounded like." Takeshi took a seat once more on the floor off to the side, leaning up against the wall and immediately moving away, yelping slightly at the cool metal on his skin. Stupid not heated room, why did it have to be so chilly? "That's going to be cool, you know? He can fight with us again and I can finally get my sword training underway! It's a win-win!"
They hadn't taken away nearly as much as Yumi had hoped, figuring Viral might be happy to hear progress was being made. Until they actually solved this thing though it looked like he wasn't going to cheer up at all. Not that Viral exactly did happy really, but at least he was content before. The very least that could be done for the time being was give him his medicine and hope that alleviated a little bit of his troubles. Vegeta was against self medication, and not without reason, yet Yumi was more willing to let her friend give it a try seeing as she'd be around him near constantly. Her ears perked up a bit when Viral offered a retort, her lips twisting into a smile as she folded her hands behind her back. "I was just wondering, maybe it was a bit different, you never know. And it is too going to end, you heard Vegeta. He was saying it could be just weeks until you're better. Think about it... You've been like this for how long? Over a year? Compared to that the time you've got left is nothing. I know you can tough it out while he finishes his work, you'll be better before you know it." She just needed to stay at his side, that was all that was required of her. So long as he had some kind of support and someone to keep him busy there wasn't a risk of anything going wrong. Now that she knew to be more careful too there was less risk of an unwanted change. "Hm... I would think you should take it with food, and considering the last time you ate was... Two days ago, you probably should have something," Yumi mused, tapping her chin thoughtfully with a fingertip. "Which means we're heading to the kitchen! Even a snack will do."

Even after all his time with Shu the older boy just couldn't understand why he loved fruit so much. With T'charrl it was a bit more obvious, that was more or less all they had on Kaesstra, or all they ate, so that was natural. Shu had been around all sorts of things for a while now though and still basically lived off the stuff, it was a bit boring. Takeshi wouldn't be able to do it, he'd miss meats way too much. A nice juicy steak or big fish beat out apples and peaches any day. Speaking of he really ought to have grabbed something for himself while there, his stomach grumbled just to remind him he was hungry. Pouting he glanced back down the corridor, being some ways from the kitchen already. No use in going back, he was still wanting to get to Shu and T'charrl quick as he could. Glancing back at the platter he looked it over, eventually opting to have himself one of the mangoes. Awkwardly balancing the tray on one arm he held the fruit in the other, biting down and immediately groaning as a fair bit of juice seeped down onto his shirt. He couldn't win for losing, he'd just put these clothes on a few hours ago too! Wrinkling his nose he licked what he could off of his chin before wiping the rest on his sleeve, sighing irritably. "Stupid juicy mangoes... They are yummy though..." he mumbled, taking another, more careful bite. Hm... How the heck did Shu eat these things without getting all messy? He'd have to remember to watch his little brother and find out, it was such an annoyance.
Vegeta wasn't entirely sure why he was having to explain this to Takeshi, he was certain he'd done it before already. It was an easy answer though and the kid was out of here quick enough, they could get back to more pressing matters. Glancing back at Viral he smiled faintly, folding his arms across his chest. "You're going to need to get back into shape first of all. Mind you that this is a theory, but I've concern that once you return to your regular self you'll lose a lot of muscle mass, meaning you'll be in a weakened state. To build muscle back up we'll have to go through some mundane routines, exercising essentially. And my reason for selecting Kaesstra as the site of your rehabilitation is because the strong sunlight will aid your recovery. That, and we've got to get T'charrl back at any rate, so this works in our favor by going there." The Kaesstrian was supposed to report back to his mother the Queen, and whether he would stay or come with them once more was up in the air at the moment. Either way didn't phase Vegeta much, though he knew one woman in particular would be awfully distraught if her test subject went missing. They could use T'charrl's combat skills themselves, so losing him would be a bit of a disappointment too.

"At any rate, we're already on course for arriving, so it's a bit late to be changing our minds. We'll see how the venture to Kaesstra works, and if it doesn't pan out then we can try the next stop, whatever that might be. The majority of your recovery won't be dependent on which world we're on, but I figured you might prefer being out in the open and on solid ground as opposed to being on the ship. Goodness knows I'm getting to that point..." It was probably for everyone's sake at this point they were setting down on some world. The stay on Earth had been brief, and prior to that all they seemed to do was travel about in a ship. None of them were exactly your standard travelers, even Vegeta was new to this extensive travel. While the deckhands and other crew fared just fine everyone else was likely getting a bit stir crazy by now. Circling around to his desk he changed the display to another shot of Viral's genome, gesturing to one highlighted strip. "Before you go I figured I would share one last breakthrough with you. I'm fairly confident that this particular strand right here is what controls that mechanized suit you can summon forth. The structure of it is intact, but it shares some proteins with your other forms, which leads me to wonder if the suit is somehow related to the forms. Just a conjecture, but I suspect that once your other forms are brought back under your control you'll be able to access this on demand as well. Now... If that's all I need to get back to work, I want to try getting some more cultures going for future use."

Yumi hadn't really understood half of what was said, nor did she understand completely Vegeta's plans to help Viral. She could tell her friend was approaching his work with some optimism however which meant he was hopeful about it, that was all she needed to see. If he felt good about it then she could trust it was a sure fix. She knew she'd been right in placing her faith in Vegeta, it looked like Viral would be on the fast track to being healthy again mighty soon. "I think that's it for us, thanks! We won't keep you any longer," she said, smiling as she tossed the bottle of pills up and caught it playfully, "If anything else comes up though be sure to tell us, especially if it's good news!" She wouldn't mind chatting some, just to sort of get pack to a pace of normality. There was work to be done however and it wouldn't help Viral if they stuck around and got in Vegeta's way. Following Takeshi's suit she left the lab alongside Viral, handing him the bottle of medicine the moment they were out of view. Smiling up at him she winked, putting a finger up to her lips for silence. "I don't think anyone will mind if you hang on to them, as long as no one knows," she said once they were out of earshot, "Does it say how you're supposed to take them?"

So what kinds of fruits did Shu and T'charrl like most? Bananas was an obvious one for Shu, he was always on about having some. Mangoes were pretty safe too, and maybe some pineapple. Pretty much anything you could imagine being tropical and the little guy enjoyed it. As for T'charrl, was there one thing he liked most? Their time on Earth had been so brief and so much hadn't been tried that Takeshi had no real clue. What they'd given the Kaesstrian he'd eaten so it was a safe bet he'd eat whatever was brought. Maybe just a mix of tropical stuff then, the two of them would be fine with that. Plus it meant less digging through the refrigerators for him which was always a plus. It was nice that no one was in the kitchen when he arrived, it would be a pain to get caught up talking when he wanted to get back to the others quick as possible. "Let's see... What do we have here..." Takeshi mumbled, prying open the large refrigerator. They were certainly running low on fruit at this point, it was eaten more than anything else despite just two people really mainlining it. Shaking his head with a smirk the Saiyan began pulling out whatever he could find; pineapples, a bunch of bananas, a few mangoes, a small bag of cherries and a couple pomegranates. If those two wanted anything more they could come get it, he was already awkwardly carrying it all in his arms. Not wanting to get covered with fruit juice again Takeshi shuffled to a nearby cabinet, dumping the fruit onto one of the biggest platters he could find before heading out of the kitchen. "There, this ought to fill them up... For a while."
Vegeta didn't mean anything by the medicine comment, he just figured that was why Viral had come here. He wasn't wrong, so what was the Beastman getting all up in arms for? "Just making an observation, that's all," the Saiyan replied, his smile fading as he tossed the medicine to Yumi. There was still hesitation to let Viral self medicate, especially with his condition as bad as it was. Maybe once they had made some progress and if he still needed pills then Viral could take care of it himself, but only then. Near all of his friend's recovery had been planned at this point and time, albeit the actual work towards it was just beginning. It would be some time, weeks perhaps before Viral was going to see any real improvement. At the very least the introduction of gene therapy would have a stabilizing effect, and with luck stop sporadic transformations. Keeping it as simple as he could he went through every bit of information he'd come across, glancing up and getting a bit confused at the glazed over look Viral had. Had he lost him even with the simplified explanation? "Weeks is still a very quick recovery, Viral. The type of treatment I'm proposing can take months, years even. Your enhanced recovery coupled with technology we have will hasten the process several times over. In the grand scheme of things this really won't take long at all. Considering how long you've been ill this treatment will have you cured in the blink of an eye." Provided, of course, that everything went smoothly. Hearing someone else come into the room Vegeta glanced over at the door, his brow pulling together slightly in confusion seeing Takeshi. Now why was he here?

Yeah, it probably was a bad time by the looks of it. He'd probably just gone an interrupted some session or something, maybe that's what those images on the wall were. Crap, well he was already in the room and it would be a waste to turn around and leave, especially when T'charrl could use a hand. Smiling sheepishly as the others stared at him he rubbed the back of his head, looking at Viral when he was growled at. "I wanted to talk to him about T'charrl's condition, that's all. And Shu is just fine with him right now, I don't have to babysit him, you know." Hmph, Viral made it sound like he and his little brother couldn't be separated. Sure, they spent nearly all of their time together, doing things together. And they typically insisted on going places as a pair too, there was that. But that didn't mean they weren't capable of being on their own for a bit, they weren't that dependent. "I was just kind of hoping you could give me some advice on T'charrl. He's getting close and all but he's having a bit of hard time doing it. Got any ideas that could help him?" Takeshi asked, smiling hopefully, "He says he's having trouble remember a little part about himself, if that helps any."

Ah, that's right, the Kaesstrian needed some attention too. Since they had finished their speaking lessons he'd kind of neglected T'charrl in favor of working with Viral. Granted T'charrl's condition wasn't near as precarious but that didn't excuse the neglect. Nodding his hand understandingly Vegeta smiled faintly, scratching at his cheek. "Of course, T'charrl... Let me think... From what I've gathered a lot of his problems seem to originate from stress. If you put him under pressure or expose him to a detrimental environment then he's more prone to lose control or forget himself. That being said I think it's obvious what you would need to do for him." It was obvious to him, at least. The look of utter confusion and expectations of an answer from Takeshi was almost stifling, Vegeta nearly groaned. Forcing himself to retain his smile, albeit it twitched to show annoyance he closed his eyes impatiently, "I'm saying help relieve stress. If something is bothering him then remove him from that, or provide something to calm him. The only real thing we can do for him at this point is give him the means of focusing on what he has to focus on. In other words, make him feel relaxed, understand?"

"Oh, yeah, totally understand now! That doesn't sound too hard!" Takeshi replied, grinning as he gave a thumbs up. "Ah... But I think I was kind of part of that... I know! I'll go get fruit, that will help him relax! Thanks Vegeta!" So they had to make T'charrl feel comfortable, no problem there! All that meant was he needed to keep his mouth shut and getting some food in the guy's belly to give him energy. Turning on his heel he rushed back to the door, pausing briefly and glancing back at Viral, "Good luck with uh... Whatever it is you guys are doing! See ya!" Nice and quick, he liked that. If only all of their problems were so easy to fix. Like Shu's for instance, they still needed to get that sorted out. One thing at a time though, Vegeta and Yumi were both clearly busy and Takeshi didn't know nearly enough to help his brother. Some fruit for T'charrl was all he'd get for now, then back to his friend's room for a bit more of that meditation stuff. Which probably meant more sitting in silence... And maybe more grooming. Oh yeah, he'd sort of been playing with Shu's hair, hadn't he? Looking down at his palms the Saiyan shivered, wiping them on the legs of his pants before smiling slightly. At least there hadn't been anything in there this time, but that was a reflex he had to potentially grabbing a bug in his hand, yuck.
Regardless of the negativity or skepticism Viral gave off Yumi refused to back down from her stance. Vegeta was going to solve this, and he was going to do it as quickly as he could. Their friend was a man who got results, it was why he was head of something like Capsule Corp in spite of so many others being capable of taking the job. She could vaguely recall all the board meetings Vegeta had gone through when they were a bit younger, all the older seats fussing over taking the company with Aito's passing. He'd managed to take the seat because he was smarter than them, and he was better at pretty much everything a company head would have to do. The work ethic wasn't always there, especially for the business side of things, but she had seen Vegeta plenty enough to know he was the only one to take over his father's company. If the fact a young kid could run a global corporation wasn't enough to convince Viral then nothing would be, no matter what Yumi said. Glancing over at Viral she made a face at him, sticking out her tongue a bit childishly before smirking, "I prefer 'dedicated', I'm not leaving and that's final. You'll just have to put up with me being stubborn like you always have." Speaking of stubborn, they should really check how Vegeta was getting on with his work. Hardly one for formalities with someone she knew so well Yumi walked right on inside, earning a look of slight annoyance from her friend as she entered.

It wasn't terribly surprising, he supposed, that Viral and Yumi should come visit him. To the contrary Vegeta was surprised they hadn't come by more often for updates and the like. Hitting the nail on the head with his assumption he figured they had come for the Beastman's medicine, which was partially right. Going to the cabinets he sorted through the numerous pills and solutions they had, finding the plastic container labeled "Viral" and snatching it out, tossing it to Yumi for safe keeping. "You don't sound very happy to have the medicine. Should I retract the subscription?" Vegeta asked, smiling faintly at his dark-ish humor. He knew Viral needed it and would do no such thing, and perfectly understood why Viral was reluctant to take the medicine. Until things had been officially settled however this was a necessary intermediary. Arching an eyebrow at the second request he nodded his head, glancing over at his work on the monitor. "Well... I've managed to sort through your entire genome and isolate the problematic genes, so that's done. I've begun working on examining the protein make-up of those genes as well, and once those are sorted I can really begin my work. I've decided the first bit of your recovery would probably best be handled via a series of stem-cell injections. I can create the genes that you need, or that are damaged and insert them, the rest will be handled automatically. That process will be enough to stabilize you and make it easier to work with your powers."

"Were that the only step necessary I'd be doing it this moment. However, I'm not wholly convinced just gene therapy is going to solve this... While it's true the bulk of your problems are the result of a damaged genome there are other, smaller issues underlying that. Your body has taken extensive damage as a result of all the changing, and we'll need to undergo physical therapy for a short while after you've returned to normal. It should be quick if we do it on Kaesstra, that planet's high solar energy will boost your recovery several times over." In reality Vegeta only had just begun developing the stem cells, it would be a few days until even the first batch was completed. From there they could begin the gene therapy itself, which could take place over an untold number of days, or weeks even. The fact he was expediting the process could lead to complications, most of which he had accounted for. "To put it simply, I have your entire recovery mapped out, as well as the means of accomplishing it. The work behind that is still being done and it'll be a short while before we can put it in effect, but your condition is set to improve drastically within the coming weeks." And with his improvement came the viability of Viral being a real hard hitter in battles to come. That was what the Beastman wanted more than anything as of late, to be able to go out and fight alongside the others. Given that everything worked out as theorized he would have that opportunity again soon.

Getting to Vegeta and asking for help wasn't the problem, the guy was bound to agree. The issue here was Takeshi hadn't a damn clue what he was supposed to ask for. Maybe some kind of medicine, though he couldn't see how a pill was going to change T'charrl back. Some of that therapy stuff would do him some good, maybe, provided Vegeta even had time. Eh... He'd just wing it, go in and ask for some kind of help, surely his friend would know what to offer. Spotting the lab up ahead, and the door wide open the Saiyan cocked his head to the side confused, not sure why the lab would be open like that. Strolling up to it he poked his head inside, pausing right there when he spotted Yumi and Viral inside of the room. Probably a bad time, he knew how touchy Viral was about them hanging around him. Figuring he'd just duck out of the room Takeshi cringed when Vegeta spotted him, and Yumi did as well following his gaze. Cringing inwardly he put on a smile and walked into the room, chuckling awkwardly as he gave a small wave. "Hey guys, uh... Hope I'm not interrupting anything. I was just going to uh, talk to Vegeta... Who looks busy..." What was all that up on the board then? Looked like just a bunch of black streaks and numbers. Maybe it was like one of those ink splotch test things, he'd seen that done on a cartoon once. So was he stepping into some weird therapy session?
"Well I don't know, Vegeta probably thought of something that could help you and he wants to go back for it. That's the only thing that makes sense to me," Yumi remarked, giving a shrug of her shoulders, "Maybe it is the energy he needs, or maybe it was something else entirely. We won't know unless we ask him or until we get there now will we?" It was a bit beyond her and Viral to try and understand how their friend operated. As odd or sporadic as his methods might seem sometimes they near always produced results, the results they wanted. Sure, dealing with Viral was on a whole different level than anything they had done before, it was the work of Aito they were talking about, the only man who could probably dwarf Vegeta's intelligence. Trying to rise to that level was a huge undertaking, even for Vegeta. Still, he had the ethic, and as Viral and Yumi both thought he certainly had the determination for it. The solution may not come quickly but it would come, she was positive of that. "We both know he'll work until he finds an answer, his pride won't let him do anything less," Yumi said, smiling as she laughed slightly, "So try thinking of it as just a matter of time until you're healthy again, because it is."

Yumi just really wished Viral could be a little more optimistic. If she had any remote clue how her whole influencing his emotions bit worked then they may be able to do just that. She hadn't thought of posing that question to Vegeta yet, but now that they were going to see him she just may have to. If she could calm down the Beastman just by simply willing it then there was no need for medicine, which was good because none of them were overly fond of using it. Plus she was already with Viral most of the time anyways as of late so it wasn't a huge effort to keep them together. Viral would likely prefer that too, it meant he would have company and not really have to rely on much other than another's presence. As if on cue Viral began asking about whether Yumi would leave him or not, spewing all sorts of reasons for it. It was like he wanted her to leave almost. "I'm not leaving and that's final, I don't care what you do," she reaffirmed, sighing as she shook her head, "If Choi comes to get me I'll tell him later, if you're silent then I will be too, I don't mind. If you insult me then I know it's not you speaking, I won't blame you for it. I'm more patient than you give me credit for, Viral. I can take a lot before I snap." Her little slaps of people being annoying were far from her snapping, she just found it a good way to get certain boys to shape up. Smiling at the sight of Vegeta's lab ahead she slowed a bit when they got to the door, glancing back at Viral with her hand on the panel, "I'll say nothing other than what we discussed, promise," she whispered, opening the door before stepping in. "Vegeta? You have a minute?"

Hm... So, this should be the entire map of Viral's genetic coding. Anomalies were highlighted and blown up for easier visual reference, Vegeta knew what he was looking for now. The best approach to this would likely be some form of cell therapy, he figured, if he was to take a page from his own playbook. A safe way to repair cells after all was by using those very same cells. That would mean a bit of invasive surgery to extract samples, that could easily be done with something as simple as a syringe. A bit of careful examinations and he should be able to find the same cells and with any luck go from there. Staring at the display on the wall thoughtfully his eyes swiveled to the corners when he heard the door open up, glancing back to his work when he heard who it was. "I suppose I do... It's not as though I'm busy," Vegeta said, rubbing his head as he turned to greet Yumi and Viral. It was a bit nice having them here, admittedly, just to break the monotony of his work. Just because he was doing it didn't mean it was wholly enjoyable, it was more of an innate drive to accomplish this that kept him going. Taking one glance at the Beastman his lips pulled up faintly, walking around the desk and heading over to the cabinets, "I'm assuming you're here for your pills? I just finished synthesizing a fresh batch, these should last a while."
Chances were Vegeta was going to run tests, of that Yumi had no doubt. She wanted to tell Viral otherwise but that would be a bold faced lie. They were probably necessary to see if certain treatments would work, or try a new medicine or something. Administering it without any tests was a test in of itself, she supposed, but could be risky. Really she couldn't find reason to be concerned with having tests done other than maybe the fact they'd been done time and time again at this point. "I'm sure there are reasons for going, even if we don't know them. With how badly Vegeta wants to fix this I'm sure it's a very good reason too." Viral wasn't the only person that they were going to Kaesstra for, they did have a native with them of course. From what she had heard last T'charrl was even making progress towards changing back, and with luck he'd find his old self before they even landed. That would satisfy the Queen and make their friend feel better as well. Plus they wouldn't have to endure Takeshi's fretting over one of their friends, even if it was sort of funny. "You weren't a big problem, honest. And you were conscious... For most of it. How you were then though isn't important, what's important is how we're going to enjoy ourselves now. We'll find a way for you to have fun or at least relax this time around." Nothing was going to tie them up, they had time to themselves and darn it Yumi was going to make sure that was time well spent. "If I was sick of you talking I wouldn't be here. If you want to talk, I'll listen," she replied, smiling politely, "You're not going to drive me away, I figured you'd know that by now."

Takeshi needed to find a way to fix his floundering, and he had just the thing in mind. If the worry was over T'charrl changing back then he could get Vegeta's help to ensure their friend he'd be fine. That aside he wasn't a complete moron, he knew that a good portion of what had the Kaesstrian bothered had been him. The best thing then was to remove himself from the room and go somewhere else for a bit. Shu and T'charrl would be fine on their own, they may even prefer it that way. Eh, who was he kidding, he was getting all mopey and self loathing. Neither of them hated him, that was just his guilt making him feel crappy. "Tch... I didn't mean to make him upset..." Takeshi grumbled, stuffing his hands into his pockets. Maybe if he gave them some time to chat and forget what had been said things would be better. Plus bringing back fruit couldn't hurt either, both Shu and T'charrl loved that stuff. Before he could consider grabbing food for anyone though he had to speak with Vegeta, that was more important. Hopefully the guy wasn't too busy to be seeing anyone, there was a lot of work being done in regards to Viral, everyone knew that by now. Takeshi was excited for that if perhaps for selfish reasons, as a healthy Beastman he could get more swordplay lessons. That and he was really itching for another rematch with Viral, they hadn't had a good fight since back on Earth. Sure they fought on Shaharia, but that didn't really count.
The only reason T'charrl was getting upset was due to Takeshi, he knew that. And Takeshi felt like a proper ass for causing it, he really needed to learn to censor what he was thinking. Even Shu's abundance of optimism and positivity did little to alleviate the trouble their friend was feeling it seemed, he'd really gone and ruined the moment. He didn't want it to seem like T'charrl had to change back because everyone else wanted that, he should want it too. He probably did, but if the Kaesstrian was going ahead because of others then that didn't seem right. Looking at his friend apologetically he sighed, giving the back of his neck an uncomfortable rub. "Hey... No need to rush it, you said you were feeling tired..." Takeshi said, letting out a sigh, "Just... Ignore what I said about you, it's not important. You're doing fine and everything is going to be great, just focus on that bit, yeah?" Damn it, and they had all been so happy just a minute ago, he was an idiot. Getting up to his feet Takeshi smiled slightly, glancing over at the door before turning back to Shu and T'charrl. "I just gotta go check something, I'll be back. I'll bring back some fruit for you guys, so hang tight, yeah?" Not wanting to give either of them a chance to come along he left the room promptly thereafter, shutting the door behind himself. If T'charrl really wanted to get back to himself quick then he might need some help, which meant asking Vegeta for advice. The guy was probably busy but oh well, this was important.

"Well good, because you know he's going to. I just hope what he has to say is good news..." They had yet to be told anything as far as Viral's condition was concerned, which could mean one of two things. Either nothing had come up yet and Vegeta was still working, or what had been discovered wasn't worth sharing. Even bad news Yumi figured would be shared, they would need to know that kind of thing. Even if they got no real news at the very least Viral was going to get some medicine, medicine which might help mellow out his mood for a little while at least. Folding her hands behind her back Yumi slowed her pace, walking alongside the Beastman as she glanced over at him. "I don't mean enjoy how you are right now, I mean maybe we can find something you'll enjoy. Probably not until we get on a planet though, I'm guessing. I really can't want until we land. I do want to try hunting with you, but I also just want to relax a little. Technically we're not supposed to be doing anything right now, so this is the first time I'll be on another planet without having something looming over us." Granted, there were certainly still shadows cast over the group in the form of Viral's, Shu's and T'charrl's problems respectively, but those were gradually being taken care of. Who knows, some down time on a planet as nice as Kaesstra could be just the thing those three needed to finally get themselves in order too.
Takeshi was feeling awfully awkward at the moment, everything that came out of his mouth was just making things worse. Even when he tried apologizing for himself it only added to the awkwardness, he couldn't get himself out of this hole. Smiling apologetically he finished grooming Shu, rubbing the back of his own head nervously as he looked up at T'charrl. "Yeah, yeah. No rush right? We're just trying to help you, not force you to go faster, nope." At this rate he might end up sounding like Shu with all his bumbling. Funnily enough it was the younger boy that actually came to save it, offering what reinforcement Takeshi couldn't manage to. That was how he felt too, just not able to say it really. The whole not liking bugs very much sort of made him trip over himself, and he sure did feel bad for being a bit afraid of his own friend. Nodding in agreement with Shu, the Saiyan glanced over at their friend with a small smile, "Yeah... Just think about seeing your mother again, all back to your old self. And just because I might, uh... Have a little trouble, doesn't mean I don't like you. Don't let that get in the way of the fact we're friends, you know?" Looks aside they had done a lot together, and would likely do even more before they were through. Even having to coexist with his biggest phobia wasn't going to keep Takeshi from spending time with T'charrl. Sure, he may inadvertently wet himself one of these days but that was what he'd have to put up with. No way was he going to lose any friend just because he was a bit uneasy around them now and again.

There was a reason for what the King was doing, of course there was. Yumi didn't know what that was nor did she care, that monster's reasons were worthless to anyone but himself. What had been done to her, to Viral, to the boys, it was all for something that the King and the King alone could appreciate, and because of that it was meaningless. Sure, everyone was struggling a bit after the fact but Yumi tried paying it little mind, she wasn't going to give that man the satisfaction of knowing he'd made their lives hell in some regards. It was all the more reason too for them to get better, to show up perfectly healthy and bring him down after what he'd done. The first step of getting better would be seeing Vegeta and hoping he had finally made the breakthrough to help Viral back to his old self. "If you really wanted to know I'm sure Vegeta could tell you," she replied, opening up the room and casually strolling out to the corridor, "If nothing else he's brutally honest, you know that. Vegeta will tell you what you want to know if you ask him." Chances were if asked Vegeta might even tell Viral too much. They should probably be careful with their questions then, it wouldn't be nice if their friend happened to let something particularly nasty slip, though maybe it was best to know anyways. "We should ask how he's getting along with his work though, don't you agree? Maybe if he's getting close that might cheer you up a little."
