That bites ;o; But welcome back to the land of the living!
Poor, poor Tetsuya xD
Having successfully made an utter fool of himself Tetsuya wasted no time in returning to the bath, grabbing a robe and quickly wrapping himself in it. Unfortunately for him it wasn't quite his size, and the bottom of it seemed to drag along a little, the sleeves just hanging over the edges of his hands too. To fix the latter he simply rolled the sleeves up some, but there was nothing that could be done for the robe itself. Did they not have anything more reasonably sized, or for a Neko? Then again come to think of it he'd seen no one like him since arriving in Ru, something that struck him as unusual. Was his kind really so rare out here?

Tetsuya was just stopping by in the lobby on his way back, having dropped his clothes off at the wash, to thank the innkeeper when he was approached. Not expecting anyone to come and talk to him he was awfully confused by it, especially since he didn't recognize the man whatsoever. Looking at the blue haired traveler uncertainly he frowned when words were slurred, worried he might be dealing with one of the drunks from earlier. So he knew who he was, kind of, at least enough to claim he was the 'Neko knight'. Seriously, was that what everyone knew him as now? Much as he'd love to tell the stranger to sod off he was careful not to make Lord Shima look bad, even if it meant dealing with some unpleasant situations. "If you know who I am then you'd know my loyalties lie with Shima," he replied simply, "I'm very busy right now, so if you wouldn't mind..."

For a second Tetsuya thought he had been set up, gasping when he was suddenly grabbed from behind by a strong set of arms. Taken aback by the grip he tried to wriggle free, only to pause in utter confusion when a hand began petting his head. What in the hell was this? He wasn't some little furry animal to be doted on, and he certainly wasn't some stranger's plaything. Face heating up indignantly he glanced back to see who it was, eyes widening in surprise at the sight of the woman. "Yuudai? What... When..." he began, becoming even more puzzled than he was before. Looking down as one of her hands danced across his chest he hastily stepped back, accidentally bumping into the man before stepping away from him too, pulling his robe together tightly. "W-What are you doing here's more like it! I'm here because Lord Shima asked me to be!" Tetsuya responded, frowning as he pointed childishly at Yuudai, "And I told you to stop that last time, didn't I? I'm not a kitten to be pet!"
She should pick him up and like... Forcibly pet him xD It'd be funny to watch.
Not sure if I should post, or wait for someone to go inside and find our hapless little feline friend.
Katsu really felt like he was being cornered here, being given no choice in what his own fate was to be. All three people here were trying to tell him where to go and what to do, he hated that! It was exactly why he left the White Lotus before and why he'd been actively avoiding them all these years, he wasn't someone's damn pawn to use. If he wanted to live life as a thief then he would, and if he wanted to play his role as Avatar then maybe he would too, someday. But for now that wasn't him, he wanted to avoid that aspect of himself completely and just carry on with life; the trio before him wouldn't allow him any such luxury, it seemed. Good intentions or not they were just making his life worse right now, why couldn't they just realize that and leave him be? Why did Hiresh suddenly have to be a good guy, or Siku act like she care? And Asha... Why was she trying to help? They had no reason to help him, none at all, unless they were all doing it just because he was the fricken Avatar.

Hearing the confession come from Siku made him a little surprised, and though he knew it was incredibly rude he almost laughed at her. Wow, so the rich girl, the famous Water Bender, she had almost no friends? Huh, funny how that worked out. Here he was, a lowly thief, and yet he could count everyone in his gang as a friend. Then there were people in other groups he worked with, folks he randomly met in the city, he figured he had loads of friends. Yet somehow the girl who had it all had none, how interesting. "I never said I can do it all alone, but I have what I need to get around. I'm not new to this kind of thing Siku, I know how to handle it," the Avatar explained, frowning at the Water Bender, "The fact is... I don't need any of your help, I've got this covered. All the three of you are doing right now is complicating things, that's it. Hell... I lost all of my autonomy when I ran into you!"

Katsu knew he was fighting with fire, but when that hand smacked his cheek and nearly caused him to topple over he was taken quite by surprise. Stumbling a bit his eyes widened in shock, looking back at Siku as he covered his cheek defensively. And here she was, asking why he had run away again. Should he even tell her? About how some of the White Lotus borderline abused him? How he was forced to train for hours on end, spend the entire day exhausted only to repeat that, day in and day out? Sure, there were luxuries with it all, but when you were so out of it all the time it was hard to appreciate anything. The life of a thief wasn't exactly all cushy, but at least here he was happy. Here he could do what he wanted, live how he wanted, and ultimately that's the only thing he desired in life. She couldn't possibly understand, no way did she live a life like he had, none of them did. Even on her worst days it would have seemed like a vacation to Katsu.

"You say all that like you think you know me... Like you think you know what I ran away from," Katsu replied, frowning as he looked away. The wind had definitely been taken out of his sails, but he still wasn't ready to just back down. A small part of him kept hoping that if he maintained this stance then these three would get fed up and leave, letting him get back to his life as he wanted. "Maybe if you actually knew a single thing about me you wouldn't be so quick to judge, Siku. But then why learn when it's easier to make assumptions about the lowly thief?" Cowardly, shirking duty, he sure did all of that, or had he? He still had duty, now it was just to his gang and the people he ran with. He had stood and fought those who tried to stop him today, even hanging back to make sure Siku got out alright. He wasn't a coward, he just had changed what it was he fought for, that was all. Watching the display between Siku and Asha for a moment Katsu scoffed, giving himself one last shake before letting out a sigh.

"Fine... I guess you're all coming with me then, whatever. I could use a hand carrying some stuff I suppose." And then what? Off to Air Temple Island? He really loathed to have to run away like this, but after having calmed down a little he could see it really was his only option. Unless he could be absolutely certain his hiding spots were safe, which he couldn't be, he was best off leaving Republic City, even if only for a little. Shooting Siku one last annoyed glance he began walking down the tunnels again, moving much slower than before as he practically dragged his feet. "Come on... It's a few blocks until we surface again, so better get moving."
"Saying it's easy to treat means just that, Viral. I was worried we would have to undergo several long trials of treatment, perhaps even put you into an induced coma at some point, but I'm pleased to say we won't have to do any of that," Aito explained, smiling happily, "For the most part these treatments should take about half an hour to an hour, one time a day for... I'd venture a guess of four to six weeks. Results won't begin to show until the end of the first week, but then that's still very quick. Only seven days until you begin to see differences for the better, surely that's nice to hear, hm?" When the initial assessment had given him months and it now came down to just weeks that was a massive improvement, even Viral must be able to appreciate that much. Now that he had a plan of attack planned out in his mind, Aito figured they could go ahead and begin working together in earnest.

"The smell, hm...? So is it the smell of medicine, or just a sterile room in general?" Aito asked, looking across at Viral curiously, "I know you don't like talking about it, but we need to work our way to getting back to the lab, it's the best place for this kind of work to be done. If it's the smell that triggers it though... Perhaps some candles? Some kind of fragrance to mask the smell, that may work. Then again...?" Hm, what if there was another alternative? Getting up from his chair abruptly, Aito began to look around the room, pacing a bit and examining the furniture. With seemingly no rhyme or reason he pushed away the coffee table, then a few of the chairs and finally his own chair to the side, opening up the sitting area in the library quite a bit. "Yes... Alternatively I could have the equipment I need be brought here, and we could avoid the laboratory initially. That way we can begin treatments right away without having to condition you to feel secure in the room, and we can work on both your hormonal imbalance as well as that simultaneously. Kill two birds with one stone, as it were. Would you be more comfortable if we worked in here? Or even another room for that matter?"
Suto was acting like a moron in front of Minerva, but then he always acted like a dolt in front of pretty girls. Yari was pretty and all but he never saw her as someone he might date, only as a friend, so maybe that was why he didn't have any problems with her. This musician was another story though, and when she teased him for it his face reddened a bit further. "Ehe... Yeah, drinks sounds like a good idea to me." Not that he was really much a drinker, he hated not being in control of his actions. Alcohol in Sword Art was weird, it didn't really make you so much physically drink as it did mentally, if that made sense. Everything from motor control to your vision and even speech became difficult, though apparently it wasn't the same as actually being drunk. Far as Suto was concerned intoxicated was the same no matter how you labeled it, so at most he'd have one and be finished. That couldn't be said for everyone however.

Cress had probably apologized at least half a dozen times or so before Yato finally picked him up, swaying as he was led along by his arm. Heh, maybe he had a little too much in the way of mead, but it sure had been good! Right now he just really wanted to party, so why had the music stopped? Looking around confused to see what the deal was he jumped slightly when someone shouted at them, peering across the way and spotting Titus. Ooooh, he remembered that guy, he and Yato were buddies! Smiling goofily Cress waved back, hiccuping as he somehow managed to get free of his friend's grip. "Hey... You! How's it going!" Cress called, chuckling as he staggered forward. Realizing there were other people there too he looked at Nero and Suto curiously, giving both of them a wave as well, "Oh hey new guys, how's it going! My name's-" he began, gasping when he stumbled and near face planted, somehow catching himself. Looking up at the group he smiled sheepishly, reaching up and rubbing at his head, "Name's Cress, hi."

"Hello there Titus, it's been a while," Yato responded casually, giving a nod before glancing down at Cress, "I do apologize for his behavior, he's a little... Or a lot drunk, I'm afraid. We usually keep a closer eye on him, but he seemed to slip away during the celebrations." Cress wasn't a bad drunk persay, he was just hopelessly cheerful and friendly when intoxicated; innocent enough on its own, but when he went around cuddling up to strangers fists were liable to begin flying. Seeing his friend attempting to slink off again he rolled his eyes, reaching out and grabbing him by the back of his shirt, pulling him over and forcing the redhead to sit down at his feet. "Lovely performance as always, Miss Minerva. It was a pleasure to watch you perform."

"Yeah! You're really something else Minerva!" Asari chimed in, giggling as she abruptly popped up between Nero and Suto, having somehow slipped around them during all of that, "You've got an awesome voice and all those people in your band are really good too, the whole show was wonderful! I mean... You're up there, singing and making it seem easy, and then the guy over there is all weeeeeeh, weeeeeh weeeeeeh," she said, poorly emulating a guitar as she made the motions. She couldn't see it, but Yato was wearing an expression right now that just screamed 'I am actually friends with these people'. Beaming as she straightened herself out, Asari stood upright and clasped her hands together, looking between Minerva and Titus. "So, what are you two doing? I hope you finishing doesn't mean the party is over Minerva, I wanna keep dancing!"
Well of course, eventually :p
Takeshi knew he had gone and screwed up just now and he was damn determined to try and make it better. Of course, making it better may involve doing something he otherwise would have no business doing, but if that's what it took to reassure his friend than so be it. Mentally preparing himself for what he was about to subject himself to the Saiyan sighed once before stepping in and giving T'charrl a hug, making it last a few seconds to try and make it genuine; he didn't have a problem with T'charrl himself, he wanted that to be abundantly clear, it was just the hair that got him sometimes. When he'd had just about all he could Takeshi finally stepped back, smiling nervously as he resisted the urge to pat himself down. "You say that like it was some k-kind of torture," he answered, chuckling as he shrugged, "I'm fine, honest!" Except it felt like his skin was crawling, probably from being poked by all the hairs. At the mention of dust he couldn't help but look down at himself, blinking seeing all the sparkly flecks covering his clothes and arms. Chuckling again he looked back up at T'charrl, his face reddening some as he shook his head, "No problem, really! So h-how's about we go play, huh?"

"Normal humans wouldn't have those ears that she does, nor the abilities that she possesses. And neither Yumi nor Viral are monsters, I would be very careful how you speak about them around me," Vegeta warned, for the first time today sounding a bit threatening, "Their conditions don't make them monsters, they're a product of a madman's tampering, that's it. We'll get them back to normal, that's all there is to it." Leaving it at that he took his seat at the table, beginning to dig in after having portioned out the food. His stomach grumbled even as he began to dig in, quite clearly starved after the long day they had. After a brief spell of silence Kiton finally spoke up again, Vegeta simply glancing over out of the corner of his eye before nodding and continuing to eat. "Glad you like it, though it's hardly anything special. I was just too lazy to cook a real meal is all." Simple but quick, and it didn't hurt that it tasted good either. They really ought to have a more substantial meal than this, but when the Frost Demon had to gradually work on eating again they couldn't be too hasty.

Aito knew Viral didn't want to be doing this, but then that was normal; people wanted help, but rarely did they go to a therapist because they wanted to hear what was wrong. He could sit here and tell Viral just that, prescribe all sorts of medicines and let the problem work itself out, or he could take the direct approach and handle it himself. As of this very moment the Beastman most certainly did not appreciate the help, but when he was healthy again he'd look back at it favorably, he hoped. "Memory problems, hm...? Interesting... There's several reasons that might be an issue. Could be a blow to the head, or perhaps a bad reaction to medicine. I'll run a neurological test with you later on and we can figure that out, restoring your memory should be simple enough." As it was it would be just a case of healing whatever might be injured in the brain, or removing the toxins or chemicals from medicines that was causing the issue. It wouldn't take much time, an hour at most and then Viral should be back to full capacity, memory wise at least.

"Please, pray tell, what would I gain by lying to you about that? I'm not trying to butter you up here Viral, I'm trying to tell you that you were and will be a very strong fighter. And confinement...? What exactly do you mean?" He hadn't heard anything concerning confinement, not in the case of the Saiyans or otherwise. Depending on the conditions of said treatment it could explain some of the problems too, which may shed even further light on the problems at hand. Hoping for a bit more information he looked to Yumi for help here, smiling as he raised an eyebrow, "I don't suppose you know about this, young lady?"

Yumi smiled back at Aito uncertainly for a moment, not sure if she was really qualified to be talking about things like this. "I mean... I know the gist of what happened, sure, but I can't really say for certain what it was. From what I remember though Viral was put into a kind of sleep in a cryogenic tube, and he was there for a while. The doctors kept him healthy with IVs and things like that, but he was in there for a couple of years I think." Yeah, because she and Vegeta had been little kids when he was put away, and it wasn't until they were almost teenagers that Viral was brought back out. What did any of that have to do with his current condition though? That was years ago, over a decade in fact, how could it relate to now?

"I see... Cryogenic slumber..." Aito mused, frowning as he rubbed at his chin. "There's a distinct possibility that your problems began there Viral. If proper precautions aren't made then the body will suffer damage from being put in stasis; tissue may deteriorate, as will muscle, functions may become impaired if the brain suffers any damage too. Plus if you were fed through IVs it is possible that something may have gotten into the solutions, something to promote further damage. It's speculation, but it would explain some of your conditions. That and the rate at which you've declined is much too astounding to be over just the last year, even with the tampering. I think some pre-existing conditions already were causing issue, and what was done recently just opened the floodgates, so to speak." It was probably an awful lot to take in, none of it good, but it was more light on this situation of theirs. "I'll get every bit of information I can regarding your treatment prior from Vegeta and we can work from there."

An awful lot of information had been gleaned from that brief session, and on top of what Vegeta had for him Aito had a very clear idea of where they stood now. A series of poor treatments and experimentation had led to a degeneration of Viral's normally exceptional ability to recover, and in turn his cells being able to reproduce at astounding rates. That would explain the weakening of his regular self as well as the memory issue, as brain tissue was likely lost during the initial sedation and while in stasis. But what of the transformation issues? Aito was certain he had that explained too, and it was far easier to put into words than the memory and muscle problems; Viral was a conglomerate of different creatures, their genes melded with his own to grant him unique abilities. With each gene came some aspect of the animal, and those aspects could bleed through when certain genes were triggered. Viral had the capability and the knowledge of how to trigger each, at least previously, but now he seemed to have lost that. Aito's assumption in regards to that was a hormonal imbalance coupled with the memory loss, meaning that he couldn't properly balance the different aspects and he had actually forgotten how to. The hormonal imbalance would also explain the aggression and the anxiety, as too many chemicals in the brain would cause it to fire off in erratic ways. It was a wide array of problems, but knowing what they were now made it easy to handle.

"And that's where we stand. I've got every one of your treatment plans mapped out already and I'm in the process of getting the materials together. I know it must seem like a lot, but the reality of it is your conditions are quite easy to treat. It will be a lengthy process, but you'll begin to see results within the first week." Memory should improve first and foremost, followed hopefully by his hormonal imbalance. Getting the genes to cooperate was going to be a combination of reconditioning, waiting for his body to settle down and likely a little bit of gene therapy to boot. "Of course... To even begin with any of that you need to be comfortable to be in a medical room again, otherwise I can't administer anything. So tell me... What exactly is it about the room that gets you so unnerved?"
