How dare you touch Watson! (inapropro!) En garde, she-devil! >:o
Not at all :)
No rush, the RP will be there for us :D
No one had ever said this process would be easy for Viral, but it was the quickest way to having him recover. Their alternative, just as unpleasant, would have been forcibly changing the Beastman back. Besides just the obvious physical discomfort that would bring it could be traumatic, as they would have to cause his body to regress well before it wanted to. In a way the serum did as well, but the serum acted more passively and the current pain was simply a result of the wear and tear of transforming before. Smiling as the bleeding finally began to slow down, Aito let out a relieved sigh, taking the gauze and once more wiping at the bits around Viral's nose before replacing it for the last time with a clean bit. "We're trying to avoid drugging you up, that's what you wanted, isn't it?" he asked curiously, frowning as he glanced over at Vegeta. His son had told him Viral had an aversion to being all drugged up, yet glancing over at the boy now he seemed to be a little edgy. Letting out another sigh, Aito shook his head and pointed with his free hand to the medicine cabinets above the desk. "Grab him some painkillers, he can take at least a few. Besides, if he's going to have food in his system it'll help the medicine spread quicker."

"But... Fine, I'll get the pills," Vegeta responded, sounding not at all pleased as he gave in. He had so wanted to avoid relying on medicine for this treatment, but clearly his father wasn't having any of it. There was likely a discrepancy in how they viewed medicine it seemed, with him thinking it was only a cheap way to fixing things; whatever Aito thought clearly wasn't along the same lines, he had no issue giving it to the Beastman. Pulling open the glass doors he scrolled through the dozens of bottles, eventually finding one of the painkillers to use. Glancing at the bottle to try and find a dosage count he decided, with no label, they should be safe and only do two. The strongest of painkillers were administered in very small doses, and not knowing how potent these were it was best to be safe rather than sorry. Before bringing over the pills Vegeta also grabbed a glass of water from one of the sinks, kneeling down besides Viral and offering over both to his friend. Or brother now was it? Everything was just so confusing now, he didn't know what to think.

Takeshi wasn't going to sit there and let Kabocha insult Shu, even if he had agreed to let the guy help train his brother. They could give instruction plenty well without making the little guy feel bad, and if that was Kabocha's idea of training then they had no need for it. "That's right buddy, just a tiny bit of Ki. Put out little by little until you get up, plain and simple," the older boy repeated, smiling as he tried giving an example, slowly rising up to a moderate level. This wasn't a race and he certainly wasn't competing with Shu here so there was no reason to make a show out of it. Watching carefully as Shu started to come up he smiled confidently, said smile quickly turning upside down as Shu did as well, blasting off well over the point where he hovered. Takeshi hurried and rose up to meet his brother, smiling exasperatedly as he grabbed his brother and helped turn him around. "You had it, but you're still doing it too quick buddy. It's not just one big burst of energy that you use, you know? It's more like... Think of running water. It's always flowing and the speed doesn't really change, keep it steady. What you're doing is more like... A volcano erupting, or a geyser. It's just one big whoosh!" he explained, making a gesture with his hands before hastily grabbing Shu again, "Think you get it now?"

"Ooooh... So you two were the ones cooking those meals. The King seemed like he really enjoyed them, the few times I saw him eating," Haku mentioned, smiling slightly as he looked down at the floor, "I always wanted to try them, they looked so good compared to what they gave us, but I wasn't about to steal his food." Getting punished by an Elite was bad enough, but the King himself? If you were lucky he'd just dump you out in orbit, otherwise he might go off on you, which for obvious reasons would be bad. Watching curiously as Kai went and threw some vegetables in with his rice, the young Saiyan felt his stomach grumbling in anticipation, rather excited even for such a simple meal. That did it, he needed to learn how they cooked all of this, maybe then he could be useful to everyone. "Yeah! I mean... If you wouldn't mind," Haku repeated, feeling a bit uncertain as Kai seemed to be taken aback by it. Awaiting an answer his eyes lit up when his request was granted, breaking into an earnest smile as he nodded his head quickly, "Uh... Y-Yeah! Of course I can watch!" he replied excitably, "I'll do whatever I have to, I swear!"

Yumi felt a bit bad showing up like this, seeing Choi just to ask a favor of him. They had been on a break with their relationship because she'd been so focused on Viral, thinking perhaps unreasonably the stress of her friend was impacting their dating. He had always said it was fine, but eventually the eating feeling that she was dragging him down had caused her to have to call it off for now. Looking at him like this, happy despite her doing that, made her stomach churn a bit with guilt, though she managed a smile nonetheless. "It has been, Aito made something to change him back. He's kind of weak right now though, so I'm hoping that a good meal will help him get his strength back!" she explained confidently, grinning as she flexed one arm and placed her hand over her bicep, "I know you're an awesome cook, so make whatever you think would be good for him. He's had trouble eating raw food though so please cook it? And if you can try and prepare it so it doesn't look so much like a regular steak too, that would be awesome!" If Viral was still a bit uneasy over what happened on Narbu then the food needed to be prepared in a very particular way, otherwise it would just go to waste sitting in front of him.
Welp, my opening felt rather lacking as I went straight into the current period, but there it is xD
When living with a man such as Sherlock Holmes, one must always be ready to be on the move. Like an overly active child it seemed as though the man had a tendency to be everywhere at once sometimes; his deductive skills and his tendency to observe every detail potentially lent itself to this. While often times it was a job that demanded their focus this was not always the case, and even a mundane day could be filled with intense scrutiny of detail and numerous accounts of the most trivial facts. Some days it was a little wearisome, but John Watson had grown accustomed to it. The observations, for the most part, were interesting and insightful yet he dare not indulge Holmes, lest he pander to that insatiable ego the man possessed. Rather, he would acknowledge everything said with only a passing remark, hoping that, a bit fruitlessly perhaps, Holmes might move along and let him focus on his own matters.

John Watson was for all intents and purposes a practitioner of medicine, a doctor if one would. Having served in the Army for a time as a medic he knew all of the most recent practices and possessed a great many skills, all of which served both him and his partner quite well. His tendencies to profess the need for cleanliness and orderly behavior however, byproducts of his time in the military, did not serve them quite so well. Where he was more concerned with keeping their homely abode on Baker Street all neat and clean Holmes could care less, letting his things be strewn all over like a twister had just passed through. In many ways it was like they were a married couple, much as he chagrined to think of them as such, with one always pestering the other to keep themselves neat. Though the two men differed in numerous ways they did get on quite well, and as such made an incredible team. Deduction and reason, insight and practical skill, this is what made up the team of Holmes and Watson.

"For a man of such skill in deduction you can't read a clock for your life," Watson retorted, frowning beneath his carefully groomed mustache. Had it not been for the light drizzle that had been coming down all morning he may not have minded waiting so much, but as things stood his clothes were slightly damp and his umbrella dripping steadily from the drops gathered. With some luck now they could get a move on, as he loathed to keep their clients waiting. Trivial job or not it was only right that they as the hired hand be timely, it reflected upon their person well and gave reason for others to hire them as well. Were he not here to move Holmes along somedays, Watson feared, the man would fade into obscurity simply because he'd never arrive to his jobs.

Climbing into the carriage after Holmes, Watson took the seat opposite him and removed his hat, placing it across his lap as he collapsed the umbrella as well. The journey out to the more rural parts of London wouldn't take terribly long, but when they were already behind schedule he was feeling a bit agitated already. Peering out the window and knocking against the wall to signal the driver to move, Watson looked back at his companion with a disconcerting frown. "Yes, well... I did not expect a woman of her... Standing to be quite so crafty, perhaps this time I'll keep a tighter grip on my wallet," he replied stiffly, not amused by past events. He was certain Holmes had at some point mentioned his tendency to gamble, as how else could Ms. Adler have known? Habit or not he would not be making bets with that woman again, his poor savings simply couldn't suffer another hit like that. "You say that as though she's some apathetic beast, Holmes. She seemed agreeable enough last time we met, theft of my money aside."

To think that Holmes had so willingly agreed to come out here, even with the knowledge of her being here, it was simply delightful. How long had it been since they had seen one another anyways? Months? Irene couldn't remember the exact time, but the events surrounding it were very vivid in her memory; the dress she currently wore was a gift from that Mr. Watson, or rather the money she had gotten from him. What a delightfully foolish man he had been, though she had a distinct feeling that he wasn't liable to make the same mistake twice. But what of her dear friend Sherlock? He never changed and thus she expected little out of him, yet nevertheless their reunion would be an entertaining one. She would, as always, poke and prod at his front as an aloof, cold and calculating detective, always looking for the one hole in his armor. What to him was no doubt a slight nuisance to him was a game to her, one that she was determined to win at.

"I can't say, it depends on how tenacious my friend is feeling today," Irene responded casually, smiling back at Mary, "I don't imagine he'll be long however. My friend will be here, have no doubt of that, as nothing on God's green earth will keep him from seeing to a job. My only real question is how will he arrive here?" Holmes always found a way, whether it was in a carriage, walking, via bicycle or some other means. She could even recall one time where he had stowed away on the back of a donkey-driven cart, only to try and arrive on time for one of his boxing matches all those years ago. How delightful those times had been, she would so love to see him put up his fists again. "Do try not to worry so much my dear, he is an incredible man. This mystery of ours will be solved in no time, I promise you that."
Very nice opening. Sadly however my post will have to wait until morning, it's a wee bit late for me ^^" I'll get a reply up ASAP though, just have a fair bit of work to do tomorrow for my grandparents first.
Alois wasn't going to try defending himself for what he'd done, even if he might explain his reasoning behind it. If you were willing to talk shit then you had best be ready to face the consequences for doing so, that was all there was to it. Fellow cadets were hardly exempt from his scrutiny, and anyone that insulted his friends especially were prone to getting a piece of his mind; considering all of his altercations with recruits it was something of a miracle he hadn't just been kicked out, though he assumed that was in part due to his skills. After all, how many people here genuinely wanted to go out and fight Titans? Sure, he'd never actually encountered one before, and he could very well buckle under the pressure, but he wouldn't know until he went out and tried now would he?

Something looked to be eating at Ava, not a Titan which was nice. Alois was anything but empathetic and so was a little completely lost, deciding instead to ignore it and pluck at her food for a snack. He'd done it plenty of times before and normally got a small swat on the hand, but this time around he got the entire plate thrown at him. Blinking owlishly as he stared down at the plate he glanced back at his friend, earnestly lost as to why she was so miffed. "You're not hungry? After all the training we did today?" he asked, tilting his head in confusion, "Riiiight. Look boss, you've gotta eat. Whatever's got you all tied up in a knot isn't a big deal, so buck up and eat." Pushing the tray away he smirked, leaning forward and laying his arms across the table, resting his chin on his forearm. He'd already eaten anyways, no sense in having more and getting fat or whatever.

If he and Ava weren't eating then Alois saw little reason to remain here, figuring he'd best just get back to their quarters and start getting ready for tomorrow. He didn't quite know what they had in store for the next day, and with their training at its end soon he figured something big would be coming up. Either that or they'd just review basics which would be lame as hell, he really didn't want to waste his time with those. If you couldn't use the 3D Maneuver Gear by now then you were hopeless, and had little to no business doing this line of work. Seeing someone take the seat beside him the redhead turned curiously to see who it was, smirking when he spotted Jonah beside him, mouth already full of food. "Not my food man, ask Ava," he responded simply, waving a hand dismissively as he sat upright. "You know... I'm kind of going to miss this place. I mean some of the other cadets are morons, and the instructors sound like a broken record now, but it's kind of fun. How many people do you figure actually will graduate?"
Though he was more than used to traversing the sewers Katsu couldn't say he enjoyed being in them. Normally if he was going to take the route he'd bring a face mask with him, something to lessen the noxious fumes of the waters below. Since it had been an impromptu trip however he had nothing with him, and he swore his nose hairs were burning by the time they got out. Taking a deep breath of clean, fresh air he gave his clothing another brushing off, figuring they had to be actually cleaned still. It had been a bit of a walk, but now they were back in the Panther Lily district, the place in which he called home. It was far from the upper echelon of living quarters, in fact having been quite rundown since Harmonic Convergence, and a decent portion of the population had up and left for less... Green areas. For people of his trade however this place was a haven, as the officers rarely came out here and there were plenty of places to hide and set up operations.

Katsu glanced back at Siku curiously when she asked about where he lived, frowning and turning to face her confused. "Yeah? What about it? Not to your liking princess?" he asked, smirking slightly as he prodded at her, "I know it's not your usual mansion, but we make due with it. Once you get to see the place it's actually really nice." If you took it for face value then yeah, it was a dump; trees grew out of the streets and even some buildings, former homes and stores were run down and probably should be demolished, and abandoned vehicles lined the streets, wrapped in thick vines and long since dead. There was a certain beauty in it for Katsu, as it was the most natural place in the entire Republic City. There was the possibility of his Avatar-aspect influencing that some, but he'd never given it any thought. "You did say you were coming along, didn't you? So no complaining if you don't like it."

Finding his home wasn't overly difficult, thanks in part due to the welcome committee waiting outside. They must have started to get curious when he was gone for so long, especially since his job of nabbing a badge was hardly a difficult one. Not having expected to be seen, and kind of wishing they weren't going to spot him with these three, the Avatar could only smile meekly and wave as he was called out. "Him? Long story, don't worry about it, he's an idiot," Katsu responded, grinning as he waved a hand dismissively. They were in his neck of the woods now, far from any jurisdiction that Hiresh might try to impose. Besides, he had even said he was here to help, so there was no need to worry about him going all cop-mode and busting everyone.

"Never mind that though, I've got some stuff to do today so we're just picking up a few things before we go again." He didn't want anyone going and throwing a fit he was running off, he had enough issues right now. Waving past the members gathered outside he hurried up the steps to the apartment, hands tucked away in his pockets as he shouldered the door open, slipping on inside. No sooner had he stepped foor indoors did a small yelping noise signal his arrival, making the Avatar break out into a grin as he looked down the hallway. Bounding around the corner of the staircase was a young Sabre Fox, hardly up to his knee while standing upright. Tails swishing excitably the furry critter bounded up to its owner, squeaking as it jumped up and into his arms, licking at his face excitably.

"Hey there Koinu!" Katsu said, beaming as he hugged the young fox against his chest, burying his face in its fur. It was always so nice to be greeted by his pet whenever he came home, and for a second he was able to forget what they were here for and break a smile. When he realized there were a few sets of eyes staring at him he glanced back at the others, his face flushing slightly as he cleared his throat and turned around, trying to play off his affection. "So uh... My room is on the second floor, front of the building. Just follow me up and we'll grab a few things, then we can leave. Would hate to make you stay here much longer, Siku," he added, turning back around and heading up the steps, lifting up Koinu and rubbing his nose to the fox's as he went. Eh, screw if they saw him doing it, he loved the pup and he wasn't ashamed to show it!
