"If that, these look like something you'd buy at a festival," Caelan commented, giving the store owner an uneasy glance at his wide smile. What was this man on? Such a weird guy working a store here, why was this sort of person their contact? This group became stranger by the moment. Turning his gaze back to the masks on display his eyes widened when given the true value of these items, his jaw hanging loose as he gaped at each and every one. That much, for a mask?! Absurd, absolutely no way they were that valuable. Why would something so valuable be simply sitting here? There would be security, some kind of traps, anything! The store owner wasn't imposing in the least, creepy but not imposing, what was preventing them from taking one and going? Heck, just one mask might set him up for life!

He couldn't do that though, as tempting as it might be. Not only was stealing below him, treasure hunting wasn't as lowly as theft, but he wasn't about to ruin things for the others by doing so. It was why he delved into abandoned tombs and dungeons, there wasn't anyone he was harming by going to the middle of nowhere. Sure he wanted the money but not at the expense of others, that wasn't him. Still... Hundreds of thousands of rupees sitting on the walls right before him... Shaking his head Caelan stuffed his hands into the pockets of his pants, watching as the salesman walked around the counter and took out a crate of supplies, evidently all for them. Raising a brow he walked over and peered inside, surprised at just how much was there. And this was all of theirs, just for the taking? How in the world had Demoko arranged this?
Let's keep this train a-rolling! Choo choo! :D
Just so people have a general idea of what's going on here:

Zander is at the mayor's building going to see the man. Nymira and likely Cecil will go as well, where they will meet Zander.

Ethan and Amune are going to find an inn for the day, and will rejoin the others afterwards.

The group's going to get a job from the mayor in exchange for what they want.

They'll meet someone else along the way :P

Vagueness is vague! :D
He was so meek and timid, was this normal? She'd expect a small child to be afraid of loud noises but someone Shu's age? You didn't need knowledge of psychology to tell something was seriously amiss here, June would have to remember to mention this to Aito later. For the time being she would have to do whatever she could to help keep him calm, at least until Takeshi returned. Odd that his brother had run off with Viral to take down a building like that, talk about spur of the moment decision. They were busy at it too and making good progress which hopefully meant they wouldn't take long on their random job. "Well... Sometimes when buildings are damaged you can't fix them. Or... It's so damaged it's easier to take it down and build a new one," June explained, smiling kindly as she rubbed at Shu's back to soothe him, "I'm going to guess your brother and Viral were asked by those men there," she continued, nodding towards the Uuonians, "And they agreed to do it for them. Either that or they just randomly decided to take down a building, which seems a bit silly, don't you think?"

Funny how much time they must have put into building this place only for it to be destroyed in moments. He and Viral had only been at the job maybe five minutes and already the roof was largely gone, the walls being broken down and much of the furniture removed and piled up outside. Peering over the edge to see where the Beastman was at he stepped back when Viral jumped up to his floor, raising an eyebrow at his insult. "Slacker? Hey, I'm making sure the roof doesn't come down on us!" Takeshi said defensively, pointing up to the final few spots still hanging, "Unless you want to be a pancake I'm going to keep doing it too!" Jeez, he was really getting into this. Watching as Viral decimated the walls around him he let out a sigh before shrugging his shoulders, flying on up and busting free the final bits of the wall. With that now completely cleared he stood opposite of Viral, looking over the wall before him to decide how to take it down. He didn't have a hammer like Viral did, so just his fists? Clenching his hand he glanced at it briefly before grinning and throwing a punch, easily shattering the wood surface and busting a sizable chunk through. "Hope they don't mind some splinters!" he laughed, turning his body and throwing a kick to break yet another portion off, stepping back as some came loose and fell to the ground.

"They're... Having... Fun?" Together. Viral and Takeshi. Having fun. If Yumi weren't here to see it she'd not believe it, albeit she wasn't believing it even now. Sure it wasn't exactly jovial or all laughs and they barely seemed to be talking, but when they weren't arguing with one another that qualified as getting along in her books. Rejoining the others on the sidewalk she smiled in amusement while placing her hands behind her back, looking at Shu and T'charrl and nodding towards the building. "Never seen this before huh? People taking down a building?" she asked, reaching up and tapping one of her ears, "I heard you Shu, I know it's got to seem strange, someone breaking a building. All you need to know is your brother and Viral are doing these people a favor, even if it seems a little scary."
What sort of informant wasn't around when his clients showed up? If any of his informants had taken too long when meeting Caelan would have docked their cut of the haul, he wasn't the most patient when it came to things like this. After ringing the bell a handful of times he stepped away from the counter and folded his arms, a finger drumming impatiently on his bicep as they were forced to wait. Thankfully it didn't take too long, and as the peculiar man emerged from the back room he tilted his head a little, trying to figure out what this man was all about. His appearance was about as strange as the shop itself, though he supposed that was to be expected. Who sold masks like these anyways?

As if they were here for purchasing a mask. These were collector's items at best, Caelan could see no other use for them aside from that. It was the sort of junk he'd been paid once or twice to fetch from dungeons; odd items and bits that to him had no value, yet were near invaluable to others. Maybe there were some uses to them that he wasn't aware of, goodness knows the world was filled with unique and otherwordly tools. But at face value they just appeared to be masks, creepy, overpriced masks. While Link chatted with the salesman he walked over to one of the walls and browsed the items for a moment, narrowing his eyes at a particularly off-putting mask. Pale in complexion with red rings around its eyes, it bore long teeth with two curved teeth in the corners of its mouth. It had rosy cheeks and wore a nasty looking grin, the sort of thing you might buy if you wanted to spook someone. Yeah, definitely some dumb novelty store.

"Hey, we're not here to talk masks remember, we're here for a reason," Caelan reminded Link, glancing back over and frowning, "If you're trying to appraise something then forget it, we're not here to buy and sell things. If you know Demoko sent us then maybe you know why we're here too?" To sneak into the castle of all things, not generally his first idea of a good time. Sure there were potential consequences when it came to looting tombs and dungeons, and there were certainly consequences with this latest battle they saw. But sneaking into the castle, stealing away the Princess no less, he'd end up on the executioners block for that. Rejoining Link at the counter he placed his hands on top of it, waiting for whatever business they were doing to finish so they could move along.
I see no posts, you are insane good sir!
Nymira's face contorted to one of disdain at Cecil's comment, finding it off-putting he would think such a thing. "I mean... I suppose there might be some relief to it, I can't deny that, but it's simply repulsive to be doing it out in the open! Animal or not the horse should know better, it should be trained," the Dimuran complained as she glanced down at their steed, "Honestly, if anything were to do that in a town I don't imagine it would be left alive too long." Galloway had horses in it yet she'd noticed a distinct lack of that, clearly they had bought themselves a few misbehaved horses. Perhaps if they were fortunate they could find themselves some better steeds while in Orosi.

"I doubt they'll freak out Cecil, I mean aren't there a lot of Machina in bigger towns like this?" Ethan asked, "Sure, maybe most Machina aren't, uh... As smart as you but there's still got to be some. Heck, the mayor might even have some of his own, so it's not like you'll be that out of place." He could understand worrying about those men in suits though, they hadn't run into those sorts for some time now. Not that it was a bad thing, but it meant they were overdue for another appearance. Smiling uncertainly Ethan looked back at Cecil again and waved to him. "If Nymira is going to meet the mayor then I'll stay with you in the mean time, if that's okay? I'm sure nothing will happen, I mean we'll be in the middle of a big town, no one's going to attack us there," he said confidently, "And we can relax and I can get a change of clothes."

"Then who, pray tell, is escorting me to the mayor's?" Nymira asked testily, narrowing her eyes as she looked at Ethan, "I don't know this area, or did you forget? And some of your customs are... Strange, I need someone who can help with that. You are my escorts, do you seriously intend to leave me on my own with this?"

Oh right, they were supposed to be bodyguards or something for Nymira right? But then she could really fight and she was a Magi, did she need an escort? Letting out a soft sigh Ethan nodded his head once, embarrassed that he'd completely forgotten about that job of theirs. "Right, right. Uh... Well in that case what if you and Cecil go? If you're in the mayor's place I seriously doubt anyone will give you trouble, even those creeps wouldn't cause a fight in the middle of the town hall, right? And while you two do that, Amuné and I will look for a place to stay. We'll probably be here a day at least if we're going to be looking for information, may as well get comfortable!"

Given all that had gone on in the last 24 hours Nymira was surprised staying put was on the agenda, but she wouldn't mind. Sleeping in a roll on a river's shores was a far cry from her bed back home, and certainly from the comforts even the most basic inn had to offer. She felt elated that they might enjoy a truly restful evening and her first in nearly a week since she had begun this journey. "I think spending some time in an inn would be a good change, and I'll of course pay for expenses," the Dimuran agreed, "And those arrangements sound fine to me as well. Cecil, you'll accompany me to the mayor's office while they secure us a place to stay."

"Uh... I mean it was just an idea, shouldn't we ask if that's what he wants?" Ethan asked with a slight frown.

"It's either him or you Ethan, and you seem too preoccupied to want to take me. Besides, whatever his concerns are about those men and the factory are of no worry with me around. So long as we don't run into those Magi again I can handle whoever comes our way just fine." The warriors most towns had to offer were many things: drunkards, boastful, prideful, arrogant, over-paid, but skillful they were not. One benefit of growing up in an environment accustomed to battle over the smallest of matters, you quickly learned to fight and fend off would-be assailants. It was only because of her better judgement, and knowing one person did not equal an army that she ever sought out bodyguards.

Hard to argue with that, they all knew Nymira could fight by now. Plus their being in the middle of a larger place should mean those men would be less bold to attack. Back where they met Cecil it had been a small settlement, enough so you could see the ends in any direction from the center. Here though and even in Galloway it stretched on for some time, it would cause far too much panic if anything were to happen. "That's if those creeps even care though..." Ethan muttered to himself, shaking his head before forcing a smile, "She does have a point Cecil, if you're okay with going then I think it's a good idea."

"Of course it's a good idea. You care for the little one while I see my mission through, it's a win-win situation," Nymira replied certainly, smiling with confidence. "A man of his standing should be able to provide all kinds of information during our visit, is there anything more we wish to know? I don't care if I must pay for the information, I doubt the cost will be too great. Men in power are virtuous and just by definition, at least in my clan. I'm sure those here are the same."

He wasn't touching that one, not with a hundred foot pole. Sure more leaders were probably good than not, but someone's boss was sending these people after them, meaning there were at least two people who weren't exactly nice. As the group finally reached the town proper they passed by the stables, wherein they left the horses and the cart with less important goods in care of the workers there. On their person they kept their weapons, their money and some medicine, just in case. "I guess this is where we split off for now, Amuné and I will find an inn and we'll meet you two back here later?"
Ugh, now there was his biggest disdain when it came to his semblance; using electricity to kill something was effective, but burning flesh and hair always left a pungent odor in its wake. Wrinkling his nose in disgust Soren turned his head from the Ursa corpse, watching Lyra drop down and begin excitably recounting his attack. Frowning slightly as she spoke he itched at his cheek with one finger, lifting his shoulders in a shrug. "It's dangerous, and there really aren't many uses for it. You're better off with whatever your semblance is," he spoke plainly, sighing before wiping his hand off on the leg of his pants. Plus that took a lot out of him, more than he was caring to show right now. Usually he'd not use such a large shock to kill something but he hadn't been sure what it would take to put down an Ursa. Given its well cooked body he knew he'd overdone it, good to know for the future he guessed.

"Two boars, huh? That'll do good, it's more than enough for four people." Soren doubted even two of them could eat a single one anyways, assuming the boars were of decent size. Once the innards and skin were discarded they should be left with several steaks, which at most each person might eat two tonight. They would need to find a way to save what they didn't eat too, which wasn't going to be easy; carrying around raw meat in a forest filled with Grimm hardly instilled confidence in him either. The crackling of leaves and branches brought both his own and Lyra's eyes to the treeline, though the latter looked ready to pounce despite having no idea what was approaching. When Ulyssa emerged following close by Owyn he relaxed, glad to find they hadn't run into any trouble.

What was that repulsive sound? Immediately upon entering the area did she catch wind of something burned, and only once looking around did she see the Ursa on the ground. "Dead is an understatement... You killed it and burned its very soul I see," she muttered as she covered her nose, disgusted by the smell permeating the place. Waving at the air in front of her as though to dispel the fumes she walked over to the beast and prodded it with the toe of her shoe, stepping back in surprise when it rolled over, not moving at all however. Certainly dead, she was surprised it just didn't turn to ash. How in the world had it ended up like that anyway?

"Camp? Ah... About that..." Ulyssa began, lowering her hand and smiling sheepishly. Spotting Owyn finally reaching them as well she rolled her eyes at his complaints, changing her mind for the moment as she pointed at him sternly. "They're twigs at best, and I didn't run that fast, so don't complain. Besides, we'll face worse out here I'm sure, so don't you tell me that's all it takes to tire you." Unbelievable, he was going to be a Huntsman? Not if he was exhausted from such a brief run, and holding some branches in hand wasn't an excuse for it either. Looking again to the Ursa as Owyn mentioned it her eyebrows shot up, glancing at Soren in surprise.

"She did help, in fact she was the reason I was able to kill it so easily," Soren pointed out, his eyes firmly locked on Owyn, "She's capable you know, I wouldn't doubt her." Plus as she was so proud to mention she had bagged their dinner for the night, which on top of slaying an Ursa was deserving of some recognition. Though his body was beginning to wear after the long day he raised a hand before walking towards the way Lyra had come, nodding his head for Owyn to follow. "We'll handle moving the boars, you two go ahead and find a spot for us. Should be far from the kill sites, otherwise it will bring predators to our doorstep." The boars themselves would too, but they would have to take that risk if they wanted to eat tonight.

That seemed reasonable enough, Ulyssa certainly wouldn't complain about not having to move a corpse. Watching the boys walk off she gave the Ursa another passing glance before smiling in approval. "It seems like we have some cohesion as a team already, good. And here I was beginning to worry," she commented with a hand on her hip, looking then to Lyra. "Don't get too caught up in it though, there's always potential danger around the corner. It's like my parents always tell me, don't assume because the battle is over you're safe." She didn't want them borderline paranoid about risks, but it was a good idea to remain vigilant even when they had no immediate threats. "Now then... How about we find somewhere to set up for the night? Preferably somewhere near some water..."Ulyssa muttered, glancing down at her shirt and frowning, "I'm filthy..."
"Really? Because I don't think you're scary at all. In fact you're soft and kind of cute," Yumi said with a smirk, reaching up and playfully tapping the side of T'charrl's head with a fingertip, "If you think you're scary then it's all up there. Shu isn't afraid, I'm not afraid, Vegeta or Viral aren't afraid. The only one that might be is Takeshi, but then he's afraid of tiny little bugs too, so he's just a baby." Basing yourself off of someone's phobia obviously wasn't going to work out so T'charrl shouldn't think too much on it. Besides they had actually managed to speak with one another and sit together earlier with no problem, maybe it was getting better. "You don't have to be the same as everyone else though, that's the thing. If everyone was always the same then it would be so boring!" Nodding to herself Yumi was certain T'charrl was fine as he was, now if only he could see it too.

Hearing the smashing of stone and brick Yumi was spurred on back towards the sound, fearing Viral and Takeshi might be fighting again. She expected the absolute worst to be coming of those noises, so when she found the two boys demolishing a building together she was just a little bit puzzled. Tilting her head to the side with a baffled expression she stared before turning and approaching the Uuonian sitting around, pointing back over her shoulder at the building. "Er... Any reason our friends are destroying that building?"

"Oh, they offered! We spent all day taking another down, was just starting this one! If someone offers to do this work we let them, no skin off of our bones," one of the Uuonians said with a laugh, raising his cup before taking a long drink.

"Work hard, not to mention dangerous. We might end up collapsing the building on ourselves if we're not careful," another interjected, "But your friends are strong and its safer for them, so we let them! We'll thank them after they finish too, but right now we're catching our breath, enjoying our selves."

After waiting a moment it became evident that the sound wasn't someone fighting but something else entirely. Wanting to be present in case her help was needed then June eased T'charrl and Shu forward, a hand on each of their shoulders as they walked. She couldn't fight, but if something had gone wrong maybe she could offer some ind of help. "Takeshi is your brotherm isn't that right? He's never going to leave you then, family sticks together Shu," she answered kindly, her mouth pulling into a frown and her brow furrowing in confusion towards the end. "Shoot him...? I... Who would shoot him? No one is shooting, those weren't gunshots honey." At least back on Earth she had been around guns much of her early life, she knew exactly what their firing sounded like. Maybe guns on this world were different, but she didn't think that was the case. When they found the building where Takeshi and Viral were working in she smiled with relief, lowering herself so she was eye level with Shu and pointing towards the front. "See? They're helping take down a broken building, that's all. Though... I don't know why they are."

As Viral pounded away at the first floor Takeshi was having his own bit of fun upstairs. He knew nothing of demolition, yet even he figured out taking the walls down too soon was going to end badly. To that end he opted to handle the roof first, and once that was finished he could break the walls in. Finding himself a window he blew out the frame with a kick and flew up to the top, hovering above as he inspected the roof itself. It looked like one big piece, but when he punched a hole through it he saw several wooden beams in a lattice like pattern, with larger sheets of wood above and below them plus some sort of foam in between, insulation probably. How the heck should he get rid of this stuff? Shrugging to himself Takeshi made a larger hole before easing himself part way into it, and with his hands on the lower section he lifted, managing to peel up a large piece of the roof all in one go. Smirking to himself he then carried it to the edge and dropped it down in the lot below, watching as it crumbled under its own weight. "Having fun down there Viral?" he called, grinning as he glanced over the ledge.
