"Kill Takeshi? We wouldn't want that at all," Yumi commented, hiding a sly smile from Shu. Seeing him get hit once or twice would be just fine though, even if he'd been relatively well behaved since she'd seen him. On the task at hand the Beastman did her best to illustrate where to go, not really knowing much besides the directions. Despite that Shu seemed to understand well enough, and surely between him and his brother they could find where to go. When Shu pounced on her in a hug Yumi squealed faintly, laughing as she returned the abrupt show with a hug of her own. "Okay, have fun and be careful. There'll be food for when you get back." she replied, giving the little Saiyan's hair a ruffle as she'd seen his brother do so many times. In a better mood now she made her way back inside, humming contentedly whilst returning to the kitchen to try and scrap something together.

Feeling two energies darting towards them Takeshi turned in their direction expectantly, and sure enough waved down the twins as they nearly missed the house. It wasn't until they got closer that he noticed their changed complexion, finding it both curious and fairly amusing as he wondered just where they had ended up. Chuckling at the sight of it he clamped a hand over his mouth, shaking his head in reply to Kai. "Nope... Neither of us did that," he answered, biting back his giggles as he calmed himself down. To the second half of the question the Saiyan shook his head again, putting his hands up defeatedly. "Nothing yet, but Shu and I are going to look into something that might give us a lead, so we'll have a better answer then. Just where in the hell did you two go anyways? You look like you fell into someone's oven."
Vegeta's temper simmered down a bit once Kabocha had left, dropping his energy back to where it had been previously. He was even more aggravating than Takeshi had been, and that was saying something. Rolling his eyes at the boy storming off he then looked to Viral, surprised once more at how disdainful he sounded. "I'm not trying to show you up, I'm only trying to help." came the reply, this time getting an angry glare from Yumi as well.

"You're acting like he's incompetent, when he's not. Don't you think that's a little bit insulting?" Yumi asked, clearly annoyed as well. She and Viral had been making progress and now this, so much for having a good day. Hearing herself being addressed just as harshly the Beastman turned to her friend, disappointed about being chewed out as well. Ears folding down she smiled slightly, nodding her head. "Of course, I won't say a word." All of that work for nothing, how annoying. Watching Viral start off towards his room Yumi gathered herself up, putting on a more convincing smile as best she could. "I'll be making dinner soon, just so you know if you get hungry!"

Takeshi tried to answer his brother only to be left outside as Shu ran off not a second later. The only thing as fast as Shu was his mouth, the Saiyan mused, smiling slightly as he turned to look down the road. It was probably best he not explain what he had meant anyways, as knowing his brother he'd accidentally let it slip and he would end up on the receiving end of a smack. Absentmindedly rubbing his cheek at that image Takeshi wondered where Kabocha was running off to, debating on asking the twins to watch him for a change. That would be easier if either Kai or Choi were actually present of course. He had to have faith that the Saiyan would hang around to see his parents rescued. Placing faith in Kabocha was a stretch, Takeshi had to admit, but surely whatever little argument he'd just gotten in wasn't enough to drive him off.

Yumi had gone into the kitchen by herself, hoping to get food going as a means of staying busy. There wasn't a whole lot in the room really, sans a few pieces of fruit. She might have to go into town to get something to use, and with no money to buy anything it would be a tad tricky. Her thoughts turned to the gift basket they'd received earlier, and the rock inside in particular. Moving to the table she lifted the lid, sifting through until she took it out, examining it in her hands carefully. It was cool to the touch, and looked like any normal rock, if not for the cyan colored crystals protruding from it. In a way it was fairly pretty, but she had no idea what it was for really. Getting it appraised somewhere could help, so long as doing so didn't get them into any kind of trouble.

In the midst of her examination Shu barged into the room, giving her a little jump as she juggled to keep the rock in her grip. Sighing in relief Yumi set it back on the table, turning to the little Saiyan with a soft smile. "It's just 'Your Majesty' or 'Your Highness' first of all Shu," she replied, giggling a bit to herself. "And sure, I can try to help with that. I'm guessing you and your brother have something in mind?" Motioning for Shu to follow along the two of them went towards the back door, in large ignoring Vegeta on the couch as they exited the house. Faced with the woods again Yumi pondered it for a moment, trying to recollect her bearings from earlier. "You want to go that way..." she started, pointing slightly off to their left, an opening in the treeline. "Go straight until you run into where we found the Prince. There'll probably be something there to show it, so just keep walking until you find a sign." There wasn't anything in particular that she could remember to signify the spot, sans for where Shu and T'charll had skid across the ground, leaving a visible mark. "When you get there you want to head straight to the left, and you'll reach the place. Can you remember that?"
Takeshi didn't like the idea of a hidden entrance, especially if neither he nor Shu had any idea how to get there. Yumi had best have a darn good memory or otherwise they'd be searching for quite a bit. "The guards should recognize you if you were just there earlier... So we shouldn't have any problems there anyways. So long as one of us can go in then we're fine," he reasoned, nodding to himself. With the very real chance of a fight impending he figured that it might be a good a time as any for Shu to try out his staff, seeing as conventional combat on their part was likely enough to serious hurt a Kaesstrian. Sending a sympathetic smile Shu's way the older boy reached over, patting his back to reassure him. "Hey, just think of them as the bad guys, okay? We've got to help everyone here, and obviously there's some bad people trying to cause trouble. So anyone who picks a fight while we're trying to help is a bad person, makes sense?" It was pretty generalized, Takeshi reflected, but if the shoe fit then they'd fight back.

Yumi was eager to continue her one on one time with Viral. Even if he wasn't smiling yet he seemed to be relaxing a little, and he had technically opened up, which was good. Progress may very well stall though as she noted two people coming up to the house, not overly thrilled by this turn of events. When Kabocha was the first instead she gave him a good glaring at, eyes only leaving the Saiyan when she addressed Vegeta. They hadn't found anything, which while disappointing wasn't overly surprising. Really they had no clue what they were looking for here, it would have been a miracle had they come across anything useful at all. It bothered Yumi a good bit as her former captor seemed to settle right in, wrinkling her nose in disgust at how invasive this moron was. "Viral didn't want to sit and relax or anything, please make yourself at home."

"I didn't see anything on the chair that said it was his," Kabocha retorted, smirking as he got an angry glance from both Earthlings. Sighing he got up from the seat, putting his hands up with a smirk. "Fine, I'll move. It's lumpy anyways, don't know why anyone would want to sit in it." Seriously, did these people expect him to suddenly be their friend? It was a convenience that their families were going to be saved through this, but to that he owed Takeshi, not these three. Getting a quip out of Viral in turn the Saiyan's smile widened into a grin, cocking an eyebrow mockingly. "You want me to be useful...? The man who can scarcely stand is giving orders to us able bodied people now?"

"Shut your damn mouth already!" Vegeta shouted, glaring up at the other boy furiously. He didn't make any move to get out of his seat, but his energy was starting to flare up, and a fight looked to be plausible with the way things were going. "Seriously, do you just enjoy hearing yourself speak? Or do you have some inferiority complex that demands you put people down to feel better? You've not stopped talking since we started this ridiculous search, and you're going to have your own damn feet shoved down your throat if I have to listen to you one more second!"

Kabocha really wasn't going to bite that one, not when both Vegeta and Yumi looked more than ready to bear down on him. He didn't feel a need to put people down, that was ridiculous, he was just bored. Smiling faintly he started to walk towards the front door, pausing as he got there and looked over his shoulder. "I'll let you take care of this little game of yours, then we save my parents. After that we're done." How in the hell did Takeshi put up with these morons? Rolling his eyes he opened the door, stepping out onto the front lawn for some fresh air.

The brothers were just up the street from the house, and with the building in sight Takeshi was a bit puzzled seeing Kabocha stepping out. He looked moderately annoyed, which for him wasn't anything new. When they got closer though his former squadmate only gave them a passing glance before walking towards and past them, heading down the road away from the house and the city. Where was he sulking off to now? No matter, he wasn't important, and it wasn't as if he'd be going anywhere anyways. Stopping mid-way through the yard Takeshi looked back to Shu, sliding his hands in his pockets and nodding towards the house. "Mind going to ask Yumi for directions? I'll wait out here, since if I'm guessing right I really don't want any of what she is right now."
Shu raised a good point, forcing Takeshi to rethink again. Folding his arms across his chest as they walked he chewed on his lower lip, tossing ideas back and forth in his mind. "If Yumi can point us in the right direction then I don't see why we wouldn't be able to go ourselves. Just remember though if you go with me there's a good chance you're going into the city alone. Unless the guards have a stroke of generosity I doubt they'll let me in." An unfortunate side effect of cooperating with the General, who at the moment wasn't looking to be in the best of light. If his brother couldn't sway opinion in his favor then he'd have to wait outside, which really wasn't that big of a deal. "We'll ask Yumi for directions there, then go ahead and head out to... Wherever it is." Takeshi figured that the others were probably still wandering around the city, so they had some time until they all met up and went over what they had learned. "By the way... Where did you leave the staff? I'm thinking you should bring it with you. If anyone does catch wind of us we'll need a way to fend off everyone without hitting them too hard, and that staff would do the trick."

"I know how you are with open affection though, you don't always like it. So I'm sorry for trying to force it on you." Viral had a history of shirking away from hugs and the likes, even when they were kids he sometimes backed off from them, though in a far more gentle manner. Yumi understood she had been a bit presumptuous in her actions, thinking that just because she wanted him to be cheerful he would be. Back inside the house she turned about to look back at her friend, smiling kindly and folding her hands behind her back. "It's okay, really. Neither of us should be apologizing, it was just a little miscommunication. And they can play with eachother, like I said I want to have fun with you. Or just spend time with you. We haven't gotten to do that in a while." With no enemies knocking on the front door at the moment they finally had a moment to enjoy themselves a bit. Even if Viral just wanted to sit down she would be content with that. Yumi stood to the side of the entryway while waiting for an answer, not moving so much as an inch... Besides her nose twitching. A familiar scent caught her attention, two in fact, and one that she was not overly thrilled to detect.

"I don't know where else we can look, we've looked everywhere." a voice came from outside, Kabocha's by the sound of it. He was the first to the door, grabbing the handle and tugging the door open. "What do we tell them when we meet up? That we came up empty handed?"

"No, we lie and say we found the one we want," Vegeta replied sarcastically, rolling his eyes as he walked in as well. Needless to say their efforts had gone unrewarded. Sighing to himself he shut the door, a bit surprised to see both Yumi and Viral standing at the other end of the room. "Hey you two, we weren't interrupting were we?"
Yumi, not overly thrilled to see one of the Saiyans, managed a small smile for Vegeta's sake. "Nope, we were just coming in to take a break. I hear the search didn't go too well? How come you're back so soon?"

"Kabocha decided to be not so discreet and attract attention to us. So rather than get half the city hunting for his head we came back here. I don't imagine anyone's going to talk to us about anything now." Vegeta shot the other boy an accusatory glance as he sat on the couch, sighing and running a hand through his hair. "Any word from the others yet?"

"No, you're the first ones to get back." Yumi replied, watching Kabocha take the arm chair and settle himself in. It was painful to have him here like this, but they had little choice in the manner. "Everyone should be back pretty soon, which is good. We've got to find out what we're doing for dinner."
The best course of action seemed to be going to the Queen and asking for her help. Takeshi thought so at least, but clearly Shu wasn't entirely sure himself. As they stood at the edge of the street discussing their next move his sibling was proving to be a little difficult. "They're probably our best bet for finding who we can trust in this place," the elder boy stated plainly, frowning a bit as he thought hard over what Shu had to say. "But if you think I won't be welcome, what if you and Yumi go back? I'll stay with Viral while you two go, and then if it's not too late you and I can go meet whoever they have here, how does that sound?" It was certainly something he'd rather do with Shu than without, but if the Queen wasn't going to have him then pushing himself wasn't doing them any good. Starting to walk back towards the house he made certain his brother was close, not wanting to raise his voice too much. "Whoever is going we should do it sooner rather than later, yeah?"

Yumi frowned when Viral opted out of training, confused as to why he was keeping their session so short. "If you insist on stopping... I'm not tired or hungry, not much anyways. If you want to keep going we can." Worried that her hugging had ruined the training session her ears folded back sadly, keeping her eyes down as she sulked towards the house. "I'm sorry for trying to hug you. Maybe if you're not too mad with me we can do something inside? Something relaxing if you want." It wasn't so much pity for his condition driving her to want to be with him anymore. Rather Yumi was just having fun with Viral, enough so that she was hopeful to stay with him for a bit longer. "I was... Well, that was fun, even if it was brief," Yumi mumbled, smiling as she opened up the door and held it for the Beastman. "So I want to keep having fun, if it's okay."
"Then I guess we're going back there, aren't we?" Or rather, Shu was going back. They needed to find a means of learning who took what side without arousing suspicion. If this Prince or the Queen could direct them then that'd bypass a whole load of troubles, and they could possily get off of this planet sooner than they thought. He didn't know who the Captain or doctor were, someone else that his brother had met earlier most likely. "Do you remember how to get back to that place? Or should we go back and ask Yumi for directions?" It might be a long shot, but it seemed reasonable to think there was at least one spy in the city working for the other side, that's just how war tended to go. Either way they had to get out of the alleyway, and so grabbing Shu's hand in his he lead his brother out onto the street, releasing it now that the kid wouldn't feel quite so claustrophobic. "And I'm going to let you do the talking when we do get there," Takeshi whispered, keeping close to be heard over the crowd. "They don't know me, so it's probably best you ask."

"Sorry... I just figured it'd be funny..." Yumi mumbled, pressing her fingers together and glancing down at her feet. It had been quite a while since that had been done, she supposed, years in fact. She could clearly recall doing it before though as a child, and how happy Viral had been when she did it. Clearly that idea wasn't going to work anymore, which was a sore disappointment. She had hoped to spark some of that joy he used to have and cheer him up when all it did was surprise and anger him. "If you want to take a breather for a few seconds we can keep training? I can go get you a glass of water or something and we could sit for a few minutes. U-Unless of course you just want to start right away?" So long as he wasn't trying to go off and hide somewhere she figured they were making good progress. Yumi would gladly keep this up all day if it meant soon having their friend back to the way he was.
"Yeah... It will be nice..." Takeshi mumbled, smiling slightly. Leaning back against the stone he glanced up above them, staring at the crack of sky visible to them from the alleyway. If their plan worked then his squad would be perfectly safe from their father's wrath. But what about everyone else they had met and helped so far? There was a lot that needed to be done, and it all seemed to be far too much for them to take on. Sighing to himself he finished the final few bites of his bread, wiping his mouth with his hand as Shu spoke up again. "Trap who, the politicians? Don't you think that'd end badly though, especially if they end up being innocent? If we trap a good guy then it might make things worse for us, and we'll need friends if we're going to find whoever is responsible. Though... Maybe we can find someone that isn't supporting the war." Takeshi got to his feet, a partial smile tugging on the corners of his lips. "What if we found someone higher up who was against the war? They might know names and could point us in the right direction. We can definitely ask who is against it."

Yumi expected Viral to let her have her fun, but was very quickly rejected instead. Yelping as he dodged to the side she landed flat on her front, her face sliding slightly along the grass in the process. For a moment she laid like that before pushing herself off the ground and into a sitting position, blinking confused through some grass that hung to her visage. "I was trying to give you a hug! Why is that so bad?" Lifting a hand to wipe her face clean she quirked an eyebrow in reply to Viral, not getting his aversion. Sighing to herself she got up onto her feet, helping Viral to his by grabbing his arm and giving a small tug. "Sorry, I won't try that again, I promise," Yumi apologized, smiling meekly as she dusted herself off. Exhaling a bit to relax hereself she straightened out her posture, looking at her friend curiously as they simply stood there. "Do you want to keep training? I got that out of my system, I'm really ready now."
Takeshi almost wanted to ask just what had gone on while in captivity, but even Shu's basic recounting told him it was better left unsaid. He'd never known it had quite been that bad, for his brother or Viral. Constant torture... It was no wonder the Beastman was the way he was now. That made the Saiyan feel pretty bad for being so impatient with his problems, especially now that he had a better idea of just how severe they might be. "You're never going back to that place, not as a prisoner anyways," Takeshi said gently, smiling as he gave a half-hearted hug to Shu. For a moment he just went back to nursing his meal, nibbling at hit slowly while he watched people walk by the mouth of the alley. Some looked their way, but most went on without a care in the world. It was odd, but in a way he kind of liked this, being out away from the world in a way. "Now... I figure we go talk to some of the politicians or some of these "benefactors" of the General's, see what they know. Want to come along, or do you want to go home while I do it?"

Yumi was abashed to have landed on her bottom like that, feeling moderately foolish for tripping herself up. Smiling sheepishly she got back to her feet, dusting herself off and giving Viral a hard look. "Oh come on, I can take a hit you know." she replied, wiping her cheek and taking a stance again. "If I'm going to be hitting you then you're going to hit me, that's how it works. So no apologizing, okay? Let's just spar and have fun with it." With emphasis on the "fun" part Yumi gave a soft snarl, her ears folding back as she got down on all fours, dashing at Viral in such a manner. It was easier to move like this more than ever, and while still unusual for her she did enjoy it. When she got close enough she straightened up, rather than going for a strike trying to essentially 'glomp' Viral, giggling as she threw herself at him. "Come here and give me a hug Viral!"
With food aplenty for both himself and Shu the two boys took a seat, ready to dig into their "borrowed" meal. Takeshi opted to give more to his brother for the time being, figuring he needed it a little more. After all, he'd gone near over a year probably eating next to nothing, and the few weeks since then had likely not undone the damage. He could skip a meal if it meant Shu got back to his old self again. Munching on his portion of the loaf contentedly the two ate in relative silence for a few moments. Eventually Shu spoke up, catching his elder sibling in mid-bite as he did so. Turning his eyes to glance over Takeshi kept quiet as Shu told him about how he had felt, chewing thoughtfully for a second afterwards. Offering a small smile in reassurance he moved a bit closer, holding his meal in one hand and wrapping his free arm around his brother's shoulders like before. "Not a fan of tight spaces? I'll keep that in mind, but sorry for leaving you in a place like this. If I had known I'd have told you to go somewhere else." It was nice that he could remedy the situation, but that didn't make the issue go away. "Are you okay to eat, Shu? We could save it for later if you're feeling down."

"You can still win the next one, so don't get down on yourself yet!" Yumi urged, smiling as she helped Viral to his feet. Once he was good and steady she backed off a bit, holding up her fists and starting to bounce slightly on her feet, old fighting habits kicking in. From behind her arms she giggled softly, peeking up over her hands and giving a wink. "But I like playing!" Hardly a second after she had answered to that the Beastman was on the offensive again, driving her back as she hastily blocked another flurry of punches. He was still fast too, given his injuries, and she had to be attentive to watch where his strikes were going. Backpedaling and throwing up her guard Yumi was unaware of a small dip in the yard, heading right towards it. As soon as her back foot landed in it she stumbled, one of Viral's punches going through and catching her in the shoulder, spinning her sideways slightly. A second hit her in the upper arm, making her stumble until a final one hit her in the cheek, knocking her off her feet and onto her backside. "Ouch!" she mumbled, though still smiling as she gave her cheek a rubbing, looking up at Viral happily. "And you said you're weak..."
That had worked almost too well, Takeshi couldn't believe how easily he'd pulled one over on those men. They were jerks anyways, so if they had to go and steal some more themselves then oh well. Nearly laughing as he hurried over to where Shu was hidden he slowed as he entered the alleyway, flashing his brother a bright smile whilst brandishing his goods. "Told you! Now which do you want?" he asked cheerfully, offering both up. "I've got no idea what they are really, but they look good. Figured there's here enough for a meal for each of us." Shu opted to split the food right down the middle, and that was a perfectly fine idea. However Takeshi had another one as he looked at his smaller sibling, and without prompt he first handed over the platter to Shu. After that he broke the bread in two, handing half of that over as well. "You're still growing, so you need more than me," he said, smiling before plopping down onto his backside and crossing his legs. This bread was at least enough to hold him over for a bit longer, and it certainly smelled tasty enough. Taking a bite out of it a smile spread across his face, delighted by how flaky and buttery the bread tasted, and the fruit mixed in made it even better. "Eat up Shu!"

For someone who was going on that he was weakened that punch sure had been solid. Not enough to knock her off of her feet, but certainly hard enough to make Yumi reel a bit. Smiling happily at the fact Viral had strength still enough to do that much she moved in for her turn, doing as he did and throwing a series of quick punches. Expecting some blocks or dodges she instead hit with both her strikes, ultimately sending the Beastman flat on his back. Blinking in surprise she hesitated briefly before going over to him, offering a hand while smiling apologetically. "Round one goes to me I guess?" she asked, hoping she hadn't really hurt Viral. "If you're up for another go I am. Though if you land enough hits like that I'm going to end up on my back pretty soon too."
