Keeping Viral aloft was proving easier than Yumi had worried. She hadn't piggybacked him in a while, and with the obvious size difference between them she worried it might be just the tiniest bit awkward. With no problems during flight however she was allowed to go along with ease, keeping a sharp eye out for anything below. Unfortunately they hadn't been told what to look for out in the mountains, only that the god was out here. Having just entered the range it was impossible to see the far end of it, albeit in part probably because they were relatively low. She would rise to the peaks if she wasn't worried about it being too cold, or Viral becoming uneasy. So she stayed relatively in the middle, following the pass below as best she could.

It was proving to be a good thing that Yumi had opted to follow the path. Now and again she would see a small lit beacon down below, indicating that there was something further along. Yet when she looked ahead initially there was no hint at just what they may be traveling towards. As they went further and further into the mountains there were hints that they were on the proper path. Along with the lit beacons were banners, made of some sort of hide by the looks of them with an indistinguishable mark painted on them. And sure enough, a few moments later into their flight she spotted what had to be their destination. A mountain stood in the way of the path perhaps a kilometer ahead, and even from the distance they were at she could make out a large structure built onto it. The closer they got the more she realized it was a sort of temple, and a massive one at that. Eyes wide she looked over her shoulder at Viral before slowing down a bit, landing them at the bottom of a long set of steps. "Holy cow... Think this is it?"

Having the monster collide with him hurt a fair bit, the think was pretty much as solid as a rock. Slightly winded from it Takeshi took a moment to gain his composure, still settling down from the surprise of the attack a moment before. T'charrl took notice of it too, and had even managed to stop a second creature, one he hadn't accounted for. Hopefully there were only the two, otherwise they were going to be in for a tough time. Nodding his head at his friend's suggestion the Saiyan looked back at his opponent, smiling slightly. "Come get me stupid!" he taunted, turning around to shake his backside. When he glanced over his shoulder the creature was bearing down on him, and with a short, forced laugh he darted away, heading along the tall grass with the monster in tow.

Racing along as he was Takeshi took the creature as far as he could, right away from the den until even the rock face in which it was bore was well out of view. Only then did he finally stop and turn, preparing to right the creature. As before it came charging at him, looking ready to chow down on his hide yet again. This time however he was ready, his sword in hand and poised to strike. Raising it up he tried to bring it down in a vertical slice, aiming to hit the creature's shoulder and hopefully disable it a little. Because of the angle he cut though it more or less brushed right off, only managing to take some skin with it. Furiously the creature tackled him to the ground, and in a flash it was snapping its jaws at him, trying to take him in its gaping maw. With his sword knocked to the side Takeshi had both hands on the creature's head, pushing away to avoid becoming a late afternoon snack. Grunting in exertion he managed to push the head away a bit, enough to land a solid punch on the throat and make the animal back off. Wincing as his knuckles were stabbed by the hide he grabbed the sword, running off again to get some distance. This was going to be harder than he thought.
Yumi only shrugged her shoulders at Viral's words. If she had an aversion to being hurt she never would have gone through with learning martial arts in the first place. Pain was a part of what she did, it was a fact she accepted wholly then. If she shirked from every potentially painful experience her fights would have been far and few between, none of which worth mention. "Pain is good in a way," she finally muttered, lifting a hand to brush a bit of her hair from her eyes. "It means we're alive. It'll be a bad day when I can't feel pain. So... In a way I look forward to getting hurt." Some kind of strange logic there, but to her it made sense. Fighting, getting hurt, even losing was all part of being alive. Perhaps if Viral could see it that way then he'd not be so down on himself.

Despite his well pronounce aversion to flying Viral had agreed to Yumi's suggestion. Just as well, because the alternative would possibly take them all day to see to. Sticking her tongue out at being called stupid she smiled cheekily, finally releasing the Beastman and turning around so he could hold on. Once his grip was secure and her own on him the pair took off, flying fair casually over the cliff's edge and the valley below. This was going to be much faster no doubt, as already the mountains were beginning to come into view. As they approached and it became more clear she could see a clear pass cleaved into the mountains, starting at the base of it. They could land and walk, sure, but that sort of defeated the point of flying in. Plus they weren't exactly going for discretion here, so flying in it was. Yumi made it a point to keep an eye on the pass, figuring it had to lead somewhere, possibly to the god. If not then surely one of them would notice something along the way.

"A legendary sword? Oh now that sounds really neat. Maybe the whole naming your weapon idea isn't so lame after all." Takeshi looked down at the blade in his hand, wondering just what in the world he could possibly name his own. Nothing came to mind, at least nothing that wasn't cliche or just plain random. It'd have to be something unique and cool, something to stand out. He'd have to figure it out later though, he had to focus on the task at hand. Nodding when T'charrl took to the air the Saiyan returned his gaze to the grass, still watching intently for any movement. "Yeah, we can lure them away if we have to. But we'll need to be careful, if they don't follow us it could be bad."

Takeshi was staring directly at the grass the entire time, watching for the slightest movement to indicate a predator. Aside from the ripple of the wind there was no rustling, not even a single blade moving out of place. If these "Dural" or whatever were coming this way then they must be awfully tiny to not budge any of the grass. Or perhaps they were approaching another way altogether. So focused on the grass was he the Saiyan failed to notice a shadow sliding along the ground, approaching from the right. Takeshi had no idea what was coming until he felt something touch his leg, at first a simple nudge, then a strong, sudden grip. Letting out a surprised yelp he looked down, astonished to see an orange arm protruding from the ground, its three claw like fingers wrapped firmly around his limb. Uttering an incoherent string of surprised words he kicked the arm, thankful that it released him. Skipping back away from where it had come up he held his sword at the ready, watching as a creature rose up from the dirt in a purple mist similar to the one on the ship. So it was the same thing!

The monster glowered at Takeshi angrily, immediately recognizing the Saiyan as a threat and being in its way. The den entrance was behind him, and noting the weapon in hand it knew it had to get through him. With a guttural snarl it bore its large fangs, barreling straight at the Saiyan and opening its gaping maw, trying to bite down on him. Takeshi again let out a surprised little sound, perhaps not quite expecting the beast to attack right off the bat. Gripping his sword securely he watched the animal approach, glancing down at his weapon almost clueless for a moment. Well he had the weapon, now he had to try and make use of it. Finally getting the sense to raise the blade he did so just as the monster reached him, narrowly avoiding being chewed down on but being rammed to the side by the monster instead. Barely keeping upright he scrunched up his face in annoyance, looking at the sword again. Just swing the stupid thing, how hard can it be?
It was relative little encouragement, but Yumi would take what she could get. Viral was still very much not with her and not optimistic, that was going to take a lot more work to accomplish. At least now he wasn't talking about himself dying, albeit that didn't mean he wasn't thinking it. Smiling gratefully she gave his cheek a gentle pat, holding her hand against it perhaps a moment too long before she finally let it fall back down to her side. "I never said I don't want you fighting, I just don't want you fighting alone," Yumi pointed out gently, turning to look back at the valley. It was a bit of a walk on foot, though maybe they didn't have to walk. It would depend on how agreeable her friend was right now as to how quickly they would get to this mountain and the god's abode. "Want me to fly us there Viral? Or we can walk, whatever you want to do."

"Named his weapons...? That's kind of cool, I guess," Takeshi remarked. He couldn't imagine giving his sword a name, not that he'd even know where to begin. That just seemed odd, a little too personal maybe. A sword was just a sword after all, right? Smiling at Shu while he hurried off into the den the older boy moved away from the entrance a bit, holding his sword down as he dragged the tip over the blades of grass idly. Just before the edge of the grass did he stop, looking out over it all as if expecting to see some movement out there. "T'charrl, any chance you want to get up in the air and look around? Maybe see if you can spot them?" Takeshi asked, turning back and walking over to the entrance again. "Or we can just play the waiting game, whatever works."
Viral was immortal, or at least that's what Yumi had been told. So yes, she didn't really know what 'the rest of your life' entailed for him. She had never given it any thought before, what it would be like to live forever. Frankly the idea wasn't all that appealing, and for the very reason that Viral had stated. Seeing those around you die not once, but over and over as generations passed, that didn't seem tempting at all. In a way then she could almost sympathize with his feelings, knowing she may well feel the same way were she in his situation. She wasn't in his shoes however, and while she may die one day she wanted him in her life. Selfish to an extreme, but that's just how she felt.

"Everyone dies when it's their time, but you're trying to die before then... People shouldn't hurry up to die, especially not when there are others around them who care for them..." With the subject of honor being brought up Yumi shook her head in frustration, closing her eyes and letting out a soft sigh. She wasn't concerned with honor, albeit she didn't want Viral to spend his last moments in a pitiful state either way. Not that she was going to say it, but giving up and giving himself over to death like he wanted to now was dishonorable. If he truly wanted to die with honor, she mused, he would keep fighting and survive, at least a little longer. There was no honor in giving up after all.

"Well... Maybe when we start to go then you can go?" Yumi suggested, shrugging her shoulders meekly. "I know it's not fair to ask you to stay, but I can't help it. I wouldn't care about anything if you were gone, it just wouldn't be the same either. I need you here Viral..." This couldn't be helping him. If anything it was placing more weight on his shoulders and making him feel more obliged to stay. This was how Yumi felt however and she wanted to try and use that to keep him alive. Keeping her gaze fixated on his face she lifted a hand, smiling timidly as she placed a hand on his cheek, trying to make him look at her in turn. "Stay alive... For me? I'll do whatever you want, just promise me you're not going to let yourself die."

Takeshi was eager to use his blade finally just to see how he could do with it. The idea of fighting an animal as opposed to a person was a little lackluster, but he supposed it would have to do for now. Hearing T'charrl comment on his use of 'thing' for his sword the Saiyan sighed softly, giving his friend a narrowed gaze. "You too? Come on... It's not an animal, or a person, it's an object, so it's a thing. I don't get what the problem is with calling it that..." he grumbled, folding his arms across his chest. Were he a bit more insightful he may pick up something about two warriors chastising him over this, but he hardly had the mind for that right now.

"I know you'll be able to do it Shu, otherwise we wouldn't ask." Takeshi chimed, grinning at his brother as he gave his hair a ruffle. So that would be the plan then, he and T'charrl would fight while the rest went inside for safety. Fine by him, he was excited to get started. Reaching up over his shoulder he undid the strap on his sword's makeshift sheath, sliding the blade out and holding it at arms length. Turning the blade to see his reflection in it Takeshi smiled eagerly, giving it a practice swing before moving it into his right hand, figuring he'd use his strong arm to swing it. Looking over at the aliens then he nodded, stepping aside to get out of the way of the den. "Go on inside, we'll take care of the Dural and get you when it's over."

The father watched as Takeshi drew his blade, his eyes widening a little in appreciation. They had their own weapons as well, but none of them compared to the quality and craftsmanship of this blade. It was certainly foreign, made of a metal he didn't recognize. Even their finest craftsment could only forge modest metal weapons, and those themselves were not exactly durable or as pretty as this one was. After oogling the weapon for a moment he finally acknowledged what he was told, nodding his head and turning to his wife and son. "In, in. Hurry now." he urged, letting Tesuga inside first, then the mother. Looking back at the pair that would fight he smiled, feeling confident in their safety before following his family inside, Shu being the only one still out.
Still clung to Viral as though he might vanish Yumi struggled to calm herself down. Everything as of late was just stressing her out immensely, she was cracking under the smallest of pressures and composure was almost non existant. It was so degrading, hiding like this against her friend, she felt weak and useless. What the Beastman was suggesting though shook her to her core, she couldn't well stand to hear it. It wasn't working out how she wanted, her efforts only serving to aggravate Viral. What would happen though if she just up and abandoned him? With how careless he was for his own well being she couldn't be certain, yet she knew it wouldn't be good. For his own safety then, and perhaps her own sanity, she'd try to stay.

"You have your whole life too Viral! And yet you just want to die!" Yumi responded, staring up at her friend woefully. "You keep saying you want to die, and do you honestly think we can just let you do that? You're not even acknowledging how much we care about you anymore! No one wants to see you hurt Viral." Shaking her head fitfully she hid her face once again, squeezing her eyes shut and grasping at her friend's shirt tightly to keep a hold of him. "When you say you want to die... It scares us. You mean a lot to us, we want you to stay. A-And... How do you think it makes us feel?" she continued, opening her eyes only to stare down at the ground and their feet. "It's like you don't care, you're willing to just leave and hurt us... Is that it? Viral... If you go do you have any idea the kind of misery we'll be put through? It won't be worth living then, not without you." Yumi lifted her head slowly again, sniffling as she blinked through her tears, forcing a small smile. "Don't throw your life away, you're too important to do that."

This was turning into a proper problem, they needed to prepare and get Tesuga to safety. Neither Takeshi nor Shu could think of a good way to go about things, or a good way to keep the child safe. T'charrl however had a plan in mind, and a good one at that. Abashed to not have thought about it earlier Takeshi smiled eagerly, nodding his head in agreement. "That should work! If we keep them outside then Shu can definitely keep everyone safe inside. And that gives me a chance to try out this thing," he added, reaching back and tapping the hilt of his sword. That ought to work just fine, so long as they were mindful not to let anything slip past them. "What do you think Shu, can you protect them?"
Maybe Yumi was being a touch irrational. Viral clung onto his cleaver for dear life most of the time, the notion of him ever misplacing it was a tad farfetched. Still, she couldn't help but try to find reason for her to come along, grasping at straws now for reasons. All of her pleading was proving to be for naught, yet she wasn't just going to back down, she wasn't able to. The idea of Viral going off on his own and dying terrified her, she refused to have it be that way. Why was he so stubborn in allowing her to come along? She ultimately could do so anyways against his wishes, but it just wasn't the same if she was forcing herself.

"Well maybe I don't want you to die!" Yumi said loudly, staring up at Viral tearfully. What did she have to say to get her message through? Rubbing at her eyes with the heels of her hands she began to tremble a bit, lowering her head to try and hide her sad expression. Twice in just the last few moments, she was going soft. "It's selfish, I know... But I don't want you to die! I want you to live, and be with us, and be happy!" Looking up again she bit her lip, sniffling a little as she brushed away a few tears once more. "You can't die... I don't want to be alive without you. If it killed you... Well... Then it'll kill me too! Because I refuse to be alive when you're not!" Overwhelmed by her own emotions Yumi stepped forward, latching onto Viral in spite of his issues with personal space and hiding her face into his shoulder yet again. "Please just let me come. We... We can help eachother out... N-no one has to die. Please Viral... I'm scared what might happen if you go...!"

They had lucked out again as far as planets went, what with Shu and T'charrl both getting some fruit to eat. Takeshi couldn't imagine his brother without fruit, it was like fish without water, one needed the other. He'd seen it in part before with the year of servitude, and while a lack of fruit was hardly the only problem it had certainly had an effect on the young Saiyan. Every time he got a hold of some goodies now he'd light up like a Christmas tree before chowing down, clearly ecstatic to have some again. It was nice, seeing Shu so happy. When Takeshi looked over his sibling didn't look quite as happy as he'd imagined, instead puzzled that he was looking fair nervous. Noting the shuffling in the grass then he turned immediately towards the noise, readying himself for a possible predator. Nope, just another one of the aliens.

Quite a bit of information was being shared with the group, least of which was the mention of "Dural". Some creature on the planet, and apparently the henchmen of this god of theirs. Immediately Takeshi wondered if they might possibly be related to the thing they had encountered on the ship. Whatever they were, these Dural didn't sound very nice. At the very least they worked for the god, meaning they were probably not going to be reasoned with or take no for an answer when they showed up. "Sounds like they are Shu... I hope you're ready to fight then. We're going to have to keep your new friend safe."
"So I might get hurt, that's a given if I'm fighting! And if it's that tough to hit I'll be more careful, that's all." If this creature's hide was going to be that tough then Viral was going to have trouble too. Of course he had his cleaver, but were he to lose it he'd be just as powerless as she was. "If you need that weapon to even hurt it then what happens if you misplace it?" Yumi asked, voicing her concerns. "Unless you're going to scratch it apart too then you're going to be in the same boat as I am. So just let me come along, it's safer that way. Strength in numbers right?" Even if all she did was support during the fight it was still a better situation than Viral going it totally alone. She couldn't let him have it his way, no matter how angry it was making him. Now that they had come to a stop at the valley they had a moment to think things through a bit, or Yumi figured they might. Still sticking to his guns and not wanting her to come along she finally had to voice her thoughts, unable to just sit by and idly take it. Perhaps a bit of a mistake.

It had been said already, but not quite to the degree that Viral had emphasized it now. Yumi wanted to think her presence was doing him some good, and that maybe it would be a little more welcome if she just explained her reasoning for coming along. The Beastman wanted absolutely no part of her regardless of how she might try to say otherwise, that much was painfully obvious now. Did he think that she assumed he was weak? Or incompetent? She wasn't coming along to just watch over him, not entirely anyways. Yes, in part she wanted to come just to make sure he was safe, but she was also keen to fight as well, however nervous she may be. "Yes, I am afraid of losing you!" Yumi shouted, closing her eyes and balling her hands into fists once more. Giving her hands a frustrated toss into the air she looked at Viral again, her hands going to her head where she held it fitfully. "I don't want you to go alone because I'm afraid something might happen. We don't know what this thing is, or what it can do. If you died and I wasn't there to help then I could never live with myself. I would rather die myself than be here without you! So please, just let me come along! I won't even fight if you don't want me to, but just let me be there so I know you're okay, please?"

"Look at it this way, most of what we've found so far tastes like one thing or another that we have back on Earth. There has been a few things I couldn't say what it tasted like, but overall it's been surprising how much familiar foods there are. So... There's going to be a ton of things to try, though not all of them are going to be all that alien." Maybe it was just his imagination telling him the foods were similar. It had been quite some time since he had been to Earth anyways, for all he knew he could be utterly wrong. Heck, the foods on their home world might taste like these other planets' foods, not the other way around. Takeshi hardly cared however it was, he enjoyed what they were finding well enough. Not very ecstatic for another fruit meal however he left his noshing at the root for now, figuring there would be more back at the ship later for a proper dinner. Leaving all the fruit to Shu and T'charrl be backed off a bit, opting instead to poke around the den's entrance a bit out of curiosity. "Only one way to find out, you'll have to eat a ton of stuff. And yeah, definitely lucky we found some fruit here, otherwise Shu would be sulky for the whole trip," he said, looking over to his brother with a teasing smirk. "You really love your fruit, don't you?"

The father silently admitted he may have been wrong about these visitors. Granted they hadn't truly done anything yet to earn his total trust, but their vow alone to keep his child safe certainly meant something. Now it was going to be a matter of waiting to see how their other friends handled the god, whether or not they were going to be victorious. Honestly the not knowing was likely going to be the worst part of this whole ordeal. Behind them the grass rustled lightly, and picking up a familiar scent he turned around to spot one of their fellow natives emerging, fair winded as though he had been running. He looked fair similar to the father, though a little bit of a slimmer build and a bit of curious markings painted on his face and shell. "Yeva, what? Tired, why? Run here?"

Yeva was busy trying to catch his breath, leaning over and resting his claws on his legs tiredly. "The... The Dural... Village, we see, coming now. For son, two, can't stop. Must hide inside, tell them he gone." The Dural were the underlings of the god, his minions as they were. Often times they were laborers, aiding the people in their building efforts. The creatures were even known to protect the natives from time to time, showing some benevolence like their god. However, they were also dangerous when denied what they wanted, such as collecting the sacrifice. People had been killed by the Dural for insolence, and they would be no exception.

"Dural...? Now? Early... Not yet. Days still, too soon." This was troubling, very troubling. Looking over at the trio the father walked forward, again bowing his head slightly for respect before speaking again. "Dural take son, they bring him to god. Soon, not know why they come. Should be days, not now, confused. Can protect him, yes? Dangerous, but please, we can't. Easy battle, if safe." If these three decided all of a sudden to default on their promise then Tesuga was as good as dead, there would be little helping him. Even if the god was slain then the Dural would remain, and they could certainly do as they desired if their master was gone, which was a terrifying prospect.
"Hey! My little cat scratch nearly worked against you didn't it? Who says I won't be able to hurt this creature?" Yumi asked, smiling confidently as she ran alongside Viral now. "Besides, I can still punch the crap out of it. Just because I can't break the skin doesn't mean I can't hurt it. After all I'm guessing my hits didn't exactly tickle you did they?" She wasn't on par with Viral in terms of strength, yet she was no pushover either. She was fair confident in her own abilities to be able to fight alongside her friend, albeit there was still plenty of nerves. The renewal of her mysterious changes had left her with a great many questions and even some doubts, but she refused to let those keep her back. As she had told herself she was not going to be deterred, she was absolutely going to be part of this.

Yumi truly didn't understand Viral's aversion to the Saiyans. Sure they had met some bad ones along the way but their friends were nothing like those creeps. Vegeta was basically family to both of them and he was a half-Saiyan, as were Shu and Takeshi. The latter could be bothersome sometimes but he was a good kid, she honestly didn't have any real problem with him. Shu certainly not, no one could actually hate him. She may be a little biased on the matter, but she held no resentment towards Choi, or his twin Kai either. Even Kabocha was nowhere near as bothersome as she'd initially pinned him as, albeit he was the new outlet for her annoyance. Overall they were just... Kids. Prideful yes, arrogant maybe, eccentric perhaps, but not bad. She just wished that Viral wasn't grouping the rest up with their few lousy encounters, or making a bigger deal out of them then it really was. He was so critical sometimes, she really wish he'd change that.

As Viral skidded to a stop so did Yumi, and she took a moment to look out over the valley below. That was going to be quite the walk to the mountains, they were some distance away even now. Perhaps they didn't have to walk though, maybe they could make use of a shortcut of sorts. However, her proposal was going to wait a second, there was more arguing to be done. "I'll find a way to make it work, don't worry about me so much. I'm not a useless girl you know, I happen to know how to fight." How unfair, Viral was treating things as though she was just a liability. Looking over at him sternly she folded her arms across her chest, stepping closer and looking up at him in question. "Just why are you so not confident in me now? You've never thought I couldn't fight before, and you've never treated me like I was incapable. So what gives? Do you really just not want me here, is that it?"

The root really wasn't half bad, even if ginger had never exactly been among the top favorite foods. Takeshi liked it well enough regardless, Shu did too by the looks of it. The root was so tiny that even as a whole it was barely more than a morsel, yet not wanting to seem rude the Saiyan didn't say a word on the matter. After splitting the remnants up with the others he finished off what he had, glad to at least have gotten something into his stomach. Perhaps if these people were generous enough they could show where they found their food and the three of them might help themselves. Then again, considering their appetites it might not be such a stellar idea. Looking over at T'charrl he smiled at his friend's indecisiveness, nodding for him to go ahead and eat. "Of course, why wouldn't we be? And we've got pretty strong stomachs, it takes something really nasty to sit wrong with us. Just try a bit, and if you don't like it then you don't have to eat it." That was something Takeshi had never actually put a ton of thought into. He'd eaten goodness knows how many foods from different worlds, never once thinking how it may potentially sit with him. "And yeah, there's loads of different kinds of food. Hope you've got an open mind."
In spite of clearly disobeying Viral she was determined to come along and help fight. Dangerous or not she couldn't well in good conscience let him go alone, she'd never forgive herself if he ended up hurt. He took notice of her approach fair quickly, instantly trying to dissuade her in his own little way. Not that it was going to have any effect, her mind was made up. "I don't know what I'm getting into, and neither do you! But I do know we're both better off with someone as back up!" This wasn't up for debate, they were doing this together like it or not. Normally quite accommodating towards Viral this would be one of the few times she refused to bend for him. The comparison to the Saiyans drew a bit of amusement from her, as well a bit of anger. "Those damn Saiyans are our friends you know! And you've got pride too, so don't act like you're better than them!" Yumi sped up her run to try and catch up to Viral, determined to get there at the same time he did. "Instead of arguing how about we figure out what we're doing, how's that sound?"

Viral and Yumi's well being was in their own hands now, there was no helping it at this point. It would be fair easy enough to call them off still, but knowing them they weren't going to be deterred once given a task. Takeshi rubbed at his temples to try and relieve some stress, closing his eyes and sighing softly. They're going to be fine, he told himself, nothing they can't handle. The discussion was taken away from the situation at hand with the mention of food, rather quickly exciting Shu as a result. While he wasn't overly thrilled at the idea of more fruit the older boy was more than happy to indulge his brother. If nothing else it gave them something to relieve a little stress. "Roots are the part of the plant that is underground Shu. They help feed the plant by sucking up water and nutrients," Takeshi explained, smiling a bit. That much he knew. "And spicy is... Well it's like hot food, but its not warm hot... You know, like fire is. It's... Er... Try some, you'll find out."

The father alien was happy that the visitors accepted their offerings, feeling indebted for their trying to save his son. It was the very least that could be done after all, and truth be told they did have excess food. Looking over to his wife he gestured for her to grab some of their haul, keeping his child right at his side. Meanwhile she went over to the tall grass again, disappearing into the thickets for a moment before returning, dragging behind her a wheel-less cart with a modest pile of goodies stacked up inside. Setting it down between her family and the aliens she bowed her head politely, looking up with a pleased smile. "Eat, please. Good, yummy food. Take what like."

Takeshi wasn't exactly enamored with the selection they had been given, but Shu was no doubt ecstatic. Plenty of varieties of fruits were piled up on one another, an assortment of small berries and even a few larger, apple sized fruits as well. In the mix he saw the roots the aliens had been talking about, a little off-put at how dirty they still were. Still, it did smell nice, and he hadn't had anything since breakfast about two hours ago so his stomach was asking for a snack. Shrugging off his trepidation he leaned down, snatching up one of the roots and turning it over in his hands carefully. After meticulously brushing a little dirt off he gave it a good sniffing, pleased to find it smelled a bit like ginger. Giving it as best a cleaning as he could then he broke off a bit of the root, again giving it a look over. Seeing nothing inherently wrong with the item he gave it a small nibble just to get an idea of the flavor. Amazingly it even tasted like ginger, candied ginger at that, sweet and spicy at the same time. Excited he broke off another piece, popping it into his mouth cheerfully. Then breaking off two more he offered a piece to both Shu and T'charrl to try, still chewing on his own. "It's good, want some?"
"Right... Sorry Viral." It was safe to say that this whole endeavor had backfired, none of it was panning out as Yumi had hoped. Well it couldn't be said she hadn't tried, albeit trying had not given her anything in the end. Fair dejected at this point she hardly had the desire to argue any longer, letting it lie where it was. No doubt she'd try again at a later date if need be, she wasn't ready to well completely abandon Viral just yet. But she recognized that pushing things now was only going to escalate and ultimately make matters worse. Listening to the conversation she wasn't entirely sure if this was a good idea or not, going after a supposed god. Viral hadn't completely healed, and was not exactly in the best state of mind. Coupled with her questionable strength and it seemed like an awful poor idea to have them go into battle, together too no less. They weren't quite seeing eye to eye at the moment, teamwork might be a little lacking. They had been asked however, and confident or not Yumi intended to go through with the request. If it met their goal then she'd be silly not to after all.

Viral on the other hand didn't quite agree with the plan. Rather than agree to the partnership he immediately told Yumi to go back and leave matters to him. Watching in silent surprise as he darted off she frowned deeply, balling her hands up into fists out of frustration. So she couldn't tell him what to do, but it was fair game when it came to her? Oh no, things didn't work that way. It was mutual or not at all as far as she was concerned. Watching her friend slowly distance himself further and further she opted to go behind his back, not allowing him to do this alone as he pleased. With an indignant huff she began to run after Viral, not quite trying to cover the distance but just to follow him. "I'm not a little girl, you can't just brush me off like that!" she called after him, staring at his back. "And I already said you won't scare me away, so I'm coming! Deal with it!" Between the two of them they would have a better chance, that couldn't be debated.

Takeshi felt a little nervous once Viral was gone, knowing he'd just set something in motion that could well end up poorly for their friends. There was no way of knowing exactly what they were going to fight, and with this so called 'god' apparently being fair strong he couldn't help but worry for the well being of the others. Shu shared his concerns and voiced them readily, bringing up more questions as well. "I don't know... I really don't. And if they are one of those things from before then I'm not sure they'll be able to handle it alone." This was bad, they really should have looked into it more before diving right in. Running a hand through his hair nervously Takeshi looked at his brother, forcing a small smile. "But... It's Viral and Yumi right? They can take care of themselves, so we shouldn't worry so much. They'll be fine." If only he felt as confident as he was letting on.

"Friends brave, courage lots. If strong be okay. God maybe not die, but maybe god trap? Bury, or put in hole. Prison god, if not kill. Maybe?" From what they had seen of their deity it was indeed strong and imposing, but they figured it could be caged just as any other being. Granted a simple hole or barred room wasn't going to likely cut it, but if these people were resourceful then they would find a way. Wringing his claws together nervously the father went over to his wife and son, standing beside them and looking up at the trio gratefully. "Food? Hunger? We feed, least can do. Like berries? Roots? Sweet and spicy, good. Try?"
