Takeshi gave his forehead a ginger rubbing, nursing at the small welt that had popped up since the little collision. Eying the soap accusingly for a moment he watched as Shu too fell down, landing on his backside though. Future notice, Shu and a bar of soap was a very dangerous combination, they'd use body wash from now on. Moving himself as his brother fidgeted around after the bar the Saiyan rolled his eyes in exasperation, stopping Shu from rubbing against the bar of soap like a cat. "Not how you do it, watch," Snagging the soap out from beneath Shu he went about rubbing it on himself, first his arms and then his chest. Each time he finished a spot he rinsed it off in the water, a fair layer of dirt coming with it. By the time he'd covered all of his exposed skin his tone was decidedly lighter, there had been more filth on him than he'd thought. Offering the bar over yet again Takeshi gave Shu a skeptical look, wary of what may happen next. "Just hold onto it and rub it in where there's dirt, and then wash it off. You don't need to juggle it, and you don't need to jump on it either." Or step on it, definitely not that. Sighing softly he then looked at the adjoining wall between their and T'charrl's stalls, flushing a faint pink. "No! No, everything is fine in here, honest!" Takeshi replied quickly, shaking his head. Putting a hand on the wall he pushed himself up to his feet, keeping a careful eye on Shu all the while. This shower was going to be the death of him, his brother had managed to turn soap into a weapon. "Just some trouble with the soap, that's all. If you finish before us there's towels in one of the lockers out there, and I guess there should be clothes too. Help yourself."

Thinking on Viral's question proved to be more difficult than he'd have liked. Vegeta really didn't have the answer, only guesses and speculations. Really the only person that knew the true answer to that would be his, or their father. "Everyone exists for something, even if you don't know what that something is..." he mumbled, shrugging his shoulders. "I guess none of us know really why we're here, we've got to figure that out. And even if you did have a purpose originally who says it can't change?" In part Viral's issue was his inability to consider himself as anything more than a tool for others. Given his upbringing as more or less a babysitter and then a psuedo-parent Vegeta could understand why, he'd always had to do things that others wanted of him. No wonder then telling him to do his own thing left him so much in the dark and confused. "If you want a real answer we can always ask dad, whenever we talk to him again. Or Doctor Ikura might even have the answer when we see him. But really, the reason you exist should be your reason and yours alone. You're not an accessory, not someone else's tool. The brothers aren't that even though they were captured too, and neither is Yumi. You were made to do something, it can happen to anyone, and it doesn't mean you're limited by that either."

Securing the gauze and tape Vegeta moved on to examining the shoulder. Just from his tender touches he could definitely tell that the muscles were unusually taught, meaning there was strain on them. The only way unfortunately to fix this was going to be surgery, but at least it was simple surgery. Fairly invasive too if done right, and it would heal without a scar even. This meant putting Viral under for some time as Vegeta in good conscience had some great difficulty cutting into anyone awake. "You're right, dumb question, sorry. We'll have to operate on it, but it'd be a quick and easy surgery. I'd say you'll be fine come supper tonight if we do it right now, provided you're up for it." His blood would replenish on its own too, and that would solve the tunnel vision and lightheadedness. If by some miracle they finally got him to eat tonight his entire system should reboot and he would begin to heal in earnest. That was one hell of a milestone however, they'd have to reach that before the real recovery could begin. "Maybe you would have gotten there, maybe not..." Vegeta replied, shrugging again. "You can't know those kinds of things I guess. Considering both times it happened it was someone else's doing I doubt you would have though. It happened because of an instability, and think about it, do you really think dad would have made you unstable?"
"Just once in a while, not every time you wash. Just enough so your hair isn't super dirty. Doesn't your head itch when there's a ton of sand and other things in it?" Takeshi's own head was fair itchy right now, the grains and specks of dirt poking at his scalp. Soon as he was through with Shu he intended on washing his own hair, hence his urgency to get his brother's done. After thoroughly lathering the shampoo he rinsed it out, smiling approvingly at how clean Shu's hair looked now. It was awfully flat, as he was quick to point out, but only because it was clean and wet. "Once you dry off it'll poof back up, don't worry. Our hair doesn't change just because you wash it." It would probably even do the kid some good to really wash once in a while, he'd definitely feel cleaner then. Now that he was aware of Shu's being a walking bug nest they were going to have to wash their sheets too, or at the very least get a new one. Handing off a bar of soap Takeshi grabbed the shampoo and poured a bit onto his own head, stepping under the water as he began to lather and rinse it out. It felt nice to get clean, even if they hadn't exactly been dirty for all that long. Even so he could feel bits of random junk falling out as he scrubbed, making sure he thoroughly cleaned his entire nest of hair.

"Really...? Huh... That's weird," Takeshi commented, tilting his head back to let the dirty water fall down his back. "If our arm breaks or something the other one is still fine. So does that mean yours are connected even though they're different?" Weird, he couldn't imagine his arms being interconnected like that. How terribly inconvenient too, to have one go and the other become useless as well. What good was four arms then if only breaking one made two useless? As the last of the shampoo was cleaned out Takeshi frowned, not sure why T'charrl was asking them if everything was alright. "'Course everything is okay, why wouldn't it be?" Not a second after he'd asked that did he step on a bar of soap, having no clue that it was on the floor. Teetering slightly he then fell forward, smacking his forehead on the tiled walls and cracking one before subsequently dropping onto his backside. Eyes squeezed shut he covered the soon-to-be bump on his forehead, wincing and looking up in Shu's direction. "Ow ow ow... Don't drop the soap Shu!"

Vegeta didn't reply immediately, not wanting to say anything else that might make things sound worse than they really were. "Viral... You're not inherently a killer, at least not of good people. Your abilities had nothing to do with my parent's deaths, it was the Red Ribbon Army's interference that made it happen. Why would my father give you a power if it had a chance of killing him? It's not your fault that your abilities made you kill someone. Like it was with my parents, that Elite you killed wasn't because you intended on it. Instead of the RRA this time though it was the king, someone else did enough damage to you to make you do something you otherwise wouldn't. You can't blame yourself because someone forced your hand." He knew Viral well enough that even though he was certainly an aggressive person devouring something was far from the norm for him. In fact, as far as he could remember he didn't ever eat a person prior to that. And in most cases he did kill someone in combat, but often in ways that were actually quite quick and clean. Gruesome or unsightly deaths only happened at his hand when someone else was making the calls. "Your abilities were sent out of control by other people in both cases, it wasn't your fault. You couldn't help it, and we all know that. It's why no one blames you or thinks of you as a monster for it."

Being gentle as could be Vegeta went about cleaning the cut, wanting to make certain it was going to be easy for it to heal. The lesser the wound the faster it ought to mend, that was obvious. If this gash did in fact close up with Viral's healing abilities then they'd know for certain whether or not they were working again. Having cleaned the wound Vegeta grabbed a portion of gauze and medial tape, and after affixing the gauze over the wound he carefully applied the tape over it, giving some pressure to make it a snug fit. "Again, you're not in a right mind because of someone else. People did things to you that caused this, and it's nothing that's your fault. And you'll get it back in due time, we're working towards that, right?" Satisfied with his handiwork on the head wound the Saiyan turned his focus onto the arm. Minding not to move it too much he tore open the already tattered shirt, exposing the injured shoulder for him to inspect. "I've never been hit by a giant rocky fist. Next time I see a golem I'll get hit and let you know," he joked lightly, smiling as he gingerly prodded where the bone had been placed back with a fingertip. "So are the muscles pinched? Can you flex your fingers at all?"
Washing Shu was going to be no easy feat, especially not if he squirmed around the entire time. The water had been a bit chilly when it first came out, and if nothing else it certainly woke them up. Once the shower had heated to a comfortable temperature Takeshi went right to work, putting shampoo in his brother's hair and beginning to lather it up. It wouldn't likely help with the knots, but at least all the grime and maybe little critters would be washed away. "You're not going to smell bad, honest. This stuff makes you smell good." Provided it was even going to carry that strong of a scent. It was slightly fruity in aroma, but probably not enough to mask Shu's... Musk. It could do the trick if they washed all of the grime off of him, and seeing distinct trails of dirt washing down it was clear the young boy definitely needed a good scrubbing. Once all the shampoo was completely lathered in Takeshi gently turned Shu around, positioning him directly under the stream of warm water before beginning to rinse out the shampoo. "It probably feels funny because you never do it, but I promise it's going to be nice when you're all clean."

"Ooooh.... Fighting a god is hardly normal. And I mean they were kinda hurt, Viral had a cut and his arm was dislocated, and Yumi seemed really out of it. But... As far as our track record is concerned everyone is pretty okay." Nothing that even a single evening of care and medical attention couldn't fix most likely. Given that Viral's healing may be starting up again it could potentially only be a few hours even until he was healed once more. Getting the last of the rinse out of Shu's hair Takeshi made certain that he was washed clean of the suds before rinsing his own hands off, taking a step back. "See, doesn't that feel better? Now your hair shouldn't be all matted and... Well... Full of stuff." Reaching for the second bottle then he popped open the cap, peering inside to see what it was. They didn't need conditioner, that was a girl's thing. Putting the bottle back he grabbed instead the bar of soap, offering it to Shu. "Just rub it where there's dirt and you'll get clean. And please... Don't try eating it?"

"You really think the king improved you...?" Vegeta remarked, frowning as he looked down at Viral. Sighing softly he shook his head, stopping the cart when they finally came upon the infirmary. Since the room was locked unlike most other rooms he had to go to the lock pad, putting in a combination to undo the sealed door. "He unlocked power that otherwise would have emerged naturally, I'm certain of that now. It only makes sense that when you were put into sleep your powers were... Rewound, in a sense. They were beginning to come back already before your capture, so I'd wager you'd have the same abilities now without the Saiyans interfering." It definitely wasn't that dastard king's doing, he hadn't made anyone stronger for what he'd done. Letting the door open up Vegeta carefully shifted the cart, swiveling it around before pushing Viral right on inside. With new hospital-styled beds it was now properly set up to work on people, and thus Viral was brought over to one. He'd be allowed to move onto the bed under his own power as the Saiyan went about gathering what he would need to do his work.

"You're failing because you've been given too much too soon, and it's hard to control. There's no shame in that, no one wouldn't be in the same position you are given the circumstances. It's not a shortcoming on your part." Much as he liked to think them all capable there was a very good chance that a lot of power could make them mad. In terms of actual strength Viral hadn't really changed, but his access to abilities had certainly expanded. Grabbing a sterile cloth and some alcohol Vegeta doused the cloth, walking over to the bed with a small smile. "I've heard you say you can't handle the blood, and fish doesn't exactly bleed when eaten, so I figured it was a safe alternative. Besides, you always did like fish, so if it's something you enjoy it might be easier to consume." Brushing Viral's hair up to expose the cut he examined it for a moment, relieved to find it was a modest gash, but hardly anything that was going to cause serious damage. "This might sting a bit, but we should clean this," Vegeta said before gently going about wiping away blood and dirt from the wound, being careful not to put a ton of pressure on it. "Is there anything other than your head and arm that's injured?"
While showering together was a little peculiar Takeshi sincerely doubted Shu would get all that clean on his own. Considering that chances were they'd end up in the same bed per usual he didn't want to have any Shu-crawlies sneaking onto him in the middle of the night. Following his sibling into the stall he shut the door behind them, closing the latch and looking around for shampoo and soap. Finding two little bottles tucked in the corner he set them both on a nearby shelf, moving then to turn the water on. "Your hair is only going to smell bad if we don't clean it, and we're definitely doing that," Takeshi remarked, turning the shower head on and letting the water run. The initial spurt was fairly chilly, but with a quick turn of the knobs it was quickly changed to a warm, soothing temperature. Grabbing the shampoo bottle he grabbed hold of Shu's shoulder, flipping the cap open with his thumb and smiling. "Alright, I'm putting this in your hair, it'll clean it. You might want to close your eyes while I'm doing it though, it could sting." That was the only forewarning Shu got as Takeshi turned the bottle over, dumping a good sized glob into his hair just to be sure it would come clean. Setting the bottle back down he then went about busily making suds to wash as thoroughly as he could.

In the next stall over T'charrl was wondering where the others had gone to, and it was a fair question. They hadn't been welcomed upon getting back to the ship, not that it had been expected of them. With everything going on they were likely busy with something else, or avoiding any awkward confrontations with the rebels. "Everyone's fine I'm sure dude. Yumi and Viral are getting taken care of and the rest are probably just sitting around waiting for something to happen." They'd know for sure once meal time came around, as not a damn person on this ship would skip out on a meal. Besides Viral, of course.

If Viral had lost a fair deal of blood already at least he wasn't losing it now. Check as he might Vegeta couldn't find any fresh blood seeping out, the only sign he'd bled at all being the crusted bit on his head. Bleeding from the head was certainly by no means a small matter, they were going to have to be extra careful to make sure there was no serious damage done. Just what a guy with depression needed, head trauma. "Would you prefer if I kept you locked up so you couldn't risk hurting yourself?" Vegeta asked rhetorically. "I let you do it because it's what you want to do. I know you, and you'd hate to be denied a chance to fight, no matter what the circumstances may be. Though admittedly letting you go out if you were in a condition like this would be a very bad idea..." Pushing the cart and himself to the side as a group of rebels walked on by the pair continued on, the infirmary still a little ways away down the corridor. "I bet if we found the right food you'd be able to eat it," Vegeta responded, smiling hopefully down at Viral. "Since red meats are off the table have you considered seafood? We got a fair load of food from the rebels that will more than last us until we reach Earth, and there was fish amongst it. Think you'd be able to stomach that?"
Takeshi rolled his eyes dramatically as Shu questioned him, smirking when he yanked the shirt free and tossed it aside. "So one size fits all. It's easier for them to make clothes if it fits everybody after all," he explained, watching as Shu began to run about the place. Oh sure, he definitely needed food because he didn't have enough energy as it was. His head had gotten better at least, it was obvious by this point. Good, so he had recovered just in time for Viral and Yumi to be injured. It was always something with this group, it seemed. Chuckling under his breath the older boy walked to his brother, grabbing him by the arm to lead him away from T'charrl. "The water is heated and cooled down before it gets here, those knobs tell it how to make the water for you." The actual technical aspects of it were above him, it was yet another thing he only had the gist of in terms of understanding. Since they were the only three in here they had the luxury of taking any shower they wanted, but Takeshi opted for the one directly beside T'charrl. Opening the glass door that closed off the stall he went to step in, making sure there was enough room for both him and Shu. The little guy was definitely going to need help getting clean, and his brother wanted to make sure he didn't get into anything he shouldn't be. Hearing T'charrl exclaim in surprise Takeshi laughed a bit, smiling amused as he looked in their friend's direction. "The one on the right, closest to us, is the warm water. You only have to turn it a little like I said. And if it gets too warm use the one on the left to cool it down."

Thank goodness getting Viral to cooperate was proving to be easy right now. It may have something to do with the fact he was barely keeping himself up, he looked nigh ready to pass out where he stood. Once laid down Vegeta made certain his friend wouldn't slip off, going to the rear of the cart to push it along. The infirmary had been stocked with medicines and even some new tools, courtesy of the rebels, so he more than had the means to treat both of his friends. With a small shove they were on their way, wheeling past the last few workers who were on their way out, most of which gave curious looks at the wounded Beastman as he moved along. "Er... Good point, sorry. Just standard procedure for blood loss, I got stuck in habit," Vegeta remarked, smiling apologetically. They really should bag some of Viral's blood when he was healthy, just for cases like this when he might need some. Making a mental note to have it done as soon as possible he moved the cart right out into the hallway, taking the left towards the infirmary. "That's normal if you took a hit to the head. Once your blood count gets back up it'll return to normal." Or it should. Goodness knows there had been complications with Viral in the past. "I don't suppose there's a chance of getting you to eat...? Food will help it quicken."
It felt very nice to be rid of the dirty clothes. A little awkward standing around in essentially his underpants, but already Takeshi felt a good deal cleaner. Before he could step into the shower it looked like Shu was having some fair difficulty undressing himself, getting the shirt stuck on his head. Smiling amused he walked over, grabbing hold of the fabric and easing it off, tossing it to the side. "The clothes shrink and expand, so when you took it off it shrunk on your head," he explained, ruffling Shu's hair teasingly. "Now come on, get your shoes and pants off and I'll show you how to use the shower. Shu might be having some difficulties, but T'charrl had gone right on inside and gotten to washing himself. Hearing the yelp of surprise Takeshi couldn't help but laugh, sending an amused grin in their friend's direction. "You might want to turn the water up a bit, make it warmer! The handle on the right will heat it up. Be careful though, it only takes a little bit to make it warmer." Gods forbid they had to go to the infirmary because someone turned the water up too high and got a burn.

"If you can't see then you need help..." Vegeta remarked, frowning concerned. Probably just a bit of blood loss, but definitely worth checking into. Looking around for anything he might use he spotted a wheeled table the workers had been using to move tools about. It was certainly big enough for Viral to lie on, and should more than hold his wait. Easing the Beastman against the wall of the ship he backed off slightly, "Wait right here, I'll be back in a second." A few rebels were still lingering by the cart, but seeing Vegeta approaching they quickly stepped aside. A few sounds of discontent were made when their tools were dumped on the floor, but they made due and scooped up their belongings as the table was wheeled away from them. Stopping just before Viral then the Saiyan left the table where it was, moving back to his friend and grabbing his good arm to guide him. "Just lay down on this, I'll take you right to the infirmary. If your vision is going we'll have to see about doing a blood transfusion." With a hand on Viral he tried to ease the Beastman into lying down, making sure to hold the cart steady with his free hand. "I know you don't need to be told this, but just talk to me. Is your vision blacking around the corners? And do you feel lightheaded?"
Takeshi was just going to leave the topic of monsters alone for now. He couldn't feasibly know if there were any left or not, unless of course he scoured the remaining surface of the planet. Considering that weird thing they did too it would be next to impossible to truly know if there were any left. Telling Shu that would only serve to really upset him, and much as he disliked keeping secrets that would be kept from the younger boy for the time being. "We'll worry about it after we clean up and get some food, alright? Worrying now won't help us any." At the door to the washroom Takeshi stopped, looking at the door for a moment before flushing slightly. It dawned on him then that in their hurry to get back here they'd neglected to grab a change of clothes. He certainly wouldn't put his dirty ones back on, and their room was a good ways away down the ship. T'charrl had a solution to their problem, albeit one the Saiyan had fair difficulty embracing. He didn't even want to consider how their friend would "make" clothing. He didn't seem like a weaver, and they definitely didn't have any sewing kits around. Smiling meekly he nodded his head, opening up the door and stepping on inside. "Good point, I didn't think of that T'charrl." Looking back at his friend the Saiyan blinked a few times, smiling bashfully and looking away. Yep, his friend definitely had lost what little clothes he'd had earlier.

"Not like we're going to need them a whole lot here, since we're getting clean," Takeshi continued, reaching down and grabbing hold of his shirt, lifting it up and off over his head. Tossing it into a nearby container he then lifted up one foot, hopping around slightly unbalanced as he wrestled off his boot, and then the other, putting both in the bin as well. Lastly he wrestled off his pants, being left standing in some fair long undershorts. In spite of wearing the clothes there were discernible patches of dirt on his person, as well as his side being red and slightly bloodied from the creature before. Ruffling his own hair to make sure it was free of chunks of dirt or even rocks Takeshi smiled at Shu, holding his hands out to offer to help undress him if need be. "Each person to a shower, try to get as clean as you can," he said, mostly for Shu's sake than T'charrl's. "And please... No eating anything you find in there Shu."

No amount of positive reinforcement was getting through to Viral, regardless of how they tried. Vegeta knew basically enough that someone in his friend's condition needed something better to think about, or some positive encouragement. Clearly he wasn't doing that properly, as the depressed thoughts continued. Making sure Viral didn't fall when he nearly slipped the Saiyan caught him, easing him into an upright standing position. "I could just cart you around in a wheelchair if you'd prefer," Vegeta replied, smiling sympathetically before shaking his head. "I do it because I want you to feel independent and capable. That won't happen if someone is constantly helping you around. You don't exactly seem to enjoy it after all." Figuring the Beastman did need a hand here however he eased Viral along, keeping his hand on his back to keep the man steady. Also placing his other hand on Viral's front as they stepped out of the ship Vegeta paused for a moment, looking around the hangar. He'd sort of hoped to spot Yumi still nearby, but there wasn't a sign of her anywhere. Sighing softly he focused back on Viral, giving him a careful look over yet again. "I don't want to sound condescending, but in your state it seems hard for you to walk. Do you want me to find something to help? Or I can sort of carry you."
Whether they had stolen before or not Takeshi hardly intended on making a habit of it. Even living on his own he tended not to steal, though he could think of a few cases where some food had been too tempting to pass up. Back home now they wouldn't have that problem thanks to the funds they had won from the tournament. For the life of him he couldn't remember how much it had been, or what they even had left. Hopefully enough for a nice big meal, he was really craving some Earth foods at this point. Shu could have a mountain of fruit and smoothies, and he'd have hamburgers, steaks, fish, whatever he could think of. Without realizing it there was a thin strain of drool seeping from his lips, and with a light blush Takeshi quickly wiped at his mouth, smiling bashfully. "If it'll help we can look around before we leave for more of those things. I don't know how we'll search the entire planet, but we'll just double check, okay?" Maybe they could even stick the task on the rebels and make them hang around a little longer. Not that he didn't want to help the natives, but getting home was awfully tantalizing. The longer they did things for other people the longer it would be until they went back to Earth. Speaking of Earth, that would probably be the best place to teach T'charrl their language. Being surrounded by it by that many people surely would help him pick things up.

"Yeah... I guess we do use our tongues for both of those things," Takeshi said thoughtfully, rubbing at his head. He'd never put much thought into it before, but silently mouthing a few words he definitely noticed his tongue moving with each word. It was different from the noises T'charrl made, with clicking and hissing being more throaty sounds. He wondered how the Kaesstrian would do with their sounds, seeing how different his tongue was. "Don't you use yours to taste too? I mean... Moths on our planet use it for eating, I think... Never actually watched one close enough to see if they do or not." Nor was he planning on it. Just the thought of a moth crawling around on him, or heaven forbid getting its tongue on him made his skin crawl. Rubbing at his arm then Takeshi stopped just shy of a doorway, the panel above it labelled "Washroom". Now that they were here he realized quite a big mistake, they didn't bring any spare clothing with them. Flushing slightly yet again he looked back at Shu and T'charrl, gesturing to the door. "Uh... I don't suppose either of you just happen to have extra clothes on you... Do you?"

"Viral... We're not fed up with you. Seriously, would I even bother helping if I was tired of doing it?" Vegeta shook his head, crossing his arms and looking down at his friend. "If I was sick of doing it I'd not bother, you know that. I don't put effort into something I don't give a damn about, and believe it or not that includes you. No one is angry with you, or annoyed. Maybe exasperated that we haven't been able to help, but no one is blaming you for this. None of it is your fault, so no one is putting the blame on you for it." Boy it would be awfully nice when the day came he wasn't so upset though. It was quite draining on everyone having his constant disconcerting tone and view on everything. While it may not be his fault, or even his intent his attitude certainly had effects on them. "Maybe she is... I don't know. I'll find out when I talk to her later though. But right now Yumi isn't my concern, it's you. So up and at 'em, let's get you checked out." Shame that Viral's healing wasn't in full effect yet. If it were then all he'd need was a sling to hold his arm and then to lie out in the sun, it would take care of itself then. More traditional methods were going to be needed in this case, seeing as his body wasn't coping quite well just yet. Nodding his head understandingly Vegeta held out a hand, keeping it just behind Viral's back in case he should fall. "There's only going to be nothing left if I do a lousy job of helping you, and I have no intentions on lousing this up," he replied, smiling sadly. "You've gotten better physically, you know you have. And with your healing slowly coming back it's a matter of time until you're back to your old self."
"Relax Shu, we're not stealing anything..." Takeshi said, waving a hand dismissively. "Besides, when have we ever stolen before? Uh... Aside from those soldiers on Kaesstra... When have we stolen? Never, so it's not like we've made a habit of it." Stealing was well below them. At any rate they had no reason to steal, these people would likely give them all they needed and more if they only just asked for it. Kind of a bonus that came with being helpful, and it didn't hurt that Shu was making friends either. Much as Takeshi would love to stand there and talk about fruit they really did need to clean up, he was beginning to smell himself at this point. Looked like T'charrl was coming along with them too, hopefully the showers here were large enough for someone his size. "The citizens are going to be fine guys, seriously. Even if there are more of those things do you really think they'll attack after we killed their... I don't know, parent? Whatever the hell that thing was..." He wasn't really sure what the beast was to the smaller ones. A parent, ruler? Scrunching his face a bit in thought he couldn't remember exactly what the natives had told them, shy of it being some god apparently. Well, that supposed god was now scattered across a valley and in a crater, so a lot of good it was.

Takeshi didn't think he really wanted to know what 'dusting' was. Taking a good look back at T'charrl though he could guess it was something like shedding or molting. He couldn't keep himself from cringing a bit, really not thrilled with the idea of being molted on. "They work in water, unless you totally submerge it of course..." he pointed out, looking back ahead as they walked. "And we really should get to teaching you how to speak, since you wanted to learn and all. Vegeta is probably the best person for that... He's smart and good at stuff like that." Unless they got back to Earth before they started teaching T'charrl, then they might even get an actual teacher. For that matter it might not be a bad idea to enroll Shu while they were at it... And himself. Compared to everyone else except perhaps the twins they were the least educated, and it showed occasionally. Not to say that T'charrl was dumb, but his knowledge was on Kaesstrian knowledge and nothing else. Even humans would have some kind of information on other races and people, however scarce it may be.

"So she hadn't changed in the whole time you've known her, and just abruptly turns sour towards you, the one person she's always been patient with?" Vegeta shook his head, not buying into it at all. If Yumi was indeed being crass with Viral then it was something new, that they hadn't seen before. He readily drew a connection between what had been done to her and her new behavior, albeit it was a very vague guess. He might know the general cause, but had no clue why in the world it happened. Perhaps another problem for the doctor to look at when they got back home. Rising out of his chair Vegeta moved to the Beastman's side, putting a hand on the back of his seat. "You haven't ruined anything, so stop blaming yourself. If anyone ruined things it's the Saiyans, not you. Now come on, let's get you patched up." Yumi could wait, assuming she was in better condition than Viral was. She walked off whereas he was still sitting here, so she was in a slightly better state at least. A quick cursory look over Viral told him they would need a sling and some bandages, plus the small matter of getting his arm back in its socket properly. All of ten minutes and he'd be good to go, albeit maybe sitting for a bit wouldn't hurt. "Can you walk or do you need a hand?"
Takeshi really needed to learn to speak plainly when around his brother. By no means was he as... He didn't even know the word for it, but fancy talking as Vegeta was, but he knew more than Shu did. Every time they talked it was almost as if he had to explain half of what he'd just said. "If we don't have fruit we'll see if your friends can help you find some. You wanted to visit them anyways, right? I'd bet they wouldn't mind giving you some fruit for the road." Probably a safe guess that the rebels weren't stocked up on fruits, meaning they were going to have to go out of their way to get Shu what he wanted. Not terribly annoying, but a little inconvenient. T'charrl's arrival stopped them in their tracks, and he looked rather happy that the brothers had returned. Leaving him with Leto was most certainly a mistake, it was almost akin to torture doing that to somebody. "Nah, they beat it up pretty good, but it was still alive. All Shu and I did was blow it up though, they did all the hard work," Takeshi explained. He didn't want them being credited for killing the creature, they hardly did anything in that regard. There really wasn't any explanation that could be offered for Leto's behavior. You had to understand something to explain it, and nobody had a clue why the guy acted the way he did. Maybe he was just crazy, it would make sense seeing as he could be happy one moment and crying the next.

Takeshi didn't want to give the wrong impression about Korian and Sayomi. The latter he had no problem with, she hadn't done anything at all wrong and had even helped them. Korian on the other hand had definitely done them wrong, and hadn't done anything really to make amends. While it was nice of the guy to help with their ship the Saiyan was admittedly skeptical about his intentions, and a little cynical as well. "Did they? That's great T'charrl," he replied, turning and starting to walk to the door again. He didn't want his friend or Shu see the frown on his features, he wasn't liking that at all. To him Korian seemed to just be trying to buy good graces with them with all these favors, like he still expected him and Shu to rejoin the war with them. Stopping just at the door Takeshi looked back, forcing a smile as he motioned for the others to follow him. "Shu and I are going to wash up really quick, then we're going to get some food. If you want to come feel free, there's bound to be plenty of showers."

Vegeta just didn't think Yumi had it in her to single-handedly bring down a foe, certainly not one strong enough to topple Viral. She was strong, sure, but by comparison she was a bit behind everyone else. Sure, she could fight stronger enemies, but beating them seemed a bit of a stretch. What had him even more skeptical and confused than that claim was the idea she had been aggressive and angry towards Viral. That immediately drew Vegeta's attention and had him fairly confused. "Yumi was aggressive and angry... With you?" he repeated, frowning a bit. "When have you ever known her to act like that towards you Viral? That doesn't sound like her in the slightest..." She might get flustered, but rarely was she ever legitimately angry. Even with Takeshi she had always just been annoyed more than anything. With Kai, Choi and Kabocha she had been genuinely mad, and for good reason, but that kind of anger was actually exceptionally rare for her. Maybe it hadn't been to that extent, but the idea that she had been cross with Viral over something like "being useless" seemed off. "We'll take a look at your shoulder, I can fix that easily enough for you. Do you know where she went? I feel like I should talk to her too."
