Current So, how many of you are willing to learn the power to believe in yourselves? XD

I think I'm cursed. Seriously, it seems like when I join an RP I really wanna get into and enjoy, 9 times out of 10, said RP grinds to a near halt and what not.

Bio

Gamer here. Nobody special, just someone making his way through life one day at a time, working towards
a brighter future. I'm looking for roleplays that have more of a Supernatural vibe to them, or Urban Fantasy,
something involving Super Powers, or even something Anime-Inspired. Any of these will do.

My Skype name is the same as on here. As for other interesting things? Well...Cracker Chips are actually quite
delicious XD

I'm something of an Otaku so I'm a fan of shows like Kamen Rider, GARO, Pretty Cure (or Magical Girl Shows in general),
Ultraman, and what not.

Will probably update this when I got more to talk about.

"Well, that was a waste of time..." Alex sighed to himself as he walked towards the bus stop, bag slung over his shoulder. He had been on the road for a while and had thought, just for the heck of it, he'd stop by the town his Mom said she had met his father in. The young man didn't really have a whole lot to guide him, aside from a photo that had been taken on the day his parents had gotten married, but it was better than nothing.

"You look just like your father..." His Mom's voice echoed in his head. When looking at the picture, one could definitely see the resemblance between the Dad and the son. The same colored eyes, hair, and even the same design of jaw bones. Of course, this was nearly twenty years ago so there was no telling how much his father might have changed between then and now.

What am I gonna do if I ever run into him though? Alex had lost count of how many times he had asked himself that question, and even now he still had no clear-cut answer. Would he be happy to have finally found the missing piece of his life? Would he be angry and hurt that his father had essentially abandoned him and his Mom? He could think up a million scenarios but there was no way to tell what would REALLY happen until the moment finally came.

Deciding he needed to get his mind off this topic, Alex pulled out a book from his bag and took a seat on the bench, waiting for his bus to arrive. However,as he read, his eyes became increasingly drowsy and the world around him faded in and out. Before long, he let out a yawn, "Oh man....so tired..." He checked the clock on his phone, "Hmm...still got a half hour before my bus gets here...think I'll catch a few Z's..." With that, he set a timer and laid back, closing his eyes. Before long, he was out like a light.

...When he awoke though, he quickly realized he wasn't at the bus stop anymore. A look around him revealed that the people here were wearing the kinds of attire you would either see in an old-time village...or in one of the dozens of RPGs he had played throughout High School. To make things even stranger, and to question his sanity even further, there was elves and nekos among their ranks.

"What the..." Alex took a deep breath to compose himself and massaged his forehead, "Ok...there is only two possible explanations for this...either I'm having one doozy of a lucid dream...or a cosplay convention rolled into town while I was asleep..." Thinking quickly, he slapped himself across the face quite hard, "Ouch!...Alright, that rules out this being the former..."

Just as he got up to go ask what was going on, a loud explosion went off in the distance, causing him to tumble off his chair. "Ughhh..." Looking up, he spotted a column of smoke not too far from where he was, "Smoke?...Darn it!" Throwing caution to the wind, he scooped up his bag and took off towards the source of the smoke.

The chances of this situation being just a convention were looking slimmer by the second...
So, what would you guys say is a good place for my character to start off in?
<Snipped quote by GamerXZ>

Yeah, accepted or something.

Thanks XD

So, about my earlier question?

Also, my apologies, I just want to make sure I understand everything.

@GamerXZ

@Mira Yasaka already has a portal maker (and needs to post her but I understand her exam pain). Clairvoyance may or may not work depending on what you want to accomplish with it, and even if it does work it might work better as a secondary esp component instead of a core power.

Any of the remaining three should be gucci tho.

Ok, so which of the last three would you personally like to see?

So, I know there's no real power quota but I got a couple ideas in case I decide to join. What would you guys like to see?

A Light Manipulator

Portal Maker

Air Manipulator

Healer

Clairvoyance

@GamerXZ Accepted

Thanks. So, is it just you who needs to approve me or Fiddle too?
<Snipped quote by GamerXZ>

Yeah just slap on an element and call it a day. Even if you are terrible at traditional magic, everyone has a "gate".

And what about the potential to contract spirits?
@GamerXZ

<Snipped quote>

Do you mean the ability to contract spirits, or do you mean the ability to control od? Because they are both technically "spiritual arts".

Also even if your character does not have a "gate" capable of utilizing magicks in any meaningful way, everyone still has an element attached to their gate. N/A would imply that your gate is collapsed, which in a word would be "bad".

I was thinking of the ability to contract spirits, or the potential to at least. So, take out the N/A part?
@GamerXZ
*Spiritual Arts

Ok, editied. Thanks XD
Name: Alex Butler

Appearance:

Age:
19

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Magic: Latent Potential In Yang Magic, Spiritual Arts (Namely Contracts)

Divine Protection:N/A

Personality: Despite what one may think of him at first glance, Alex is actually a rather friendly, easygoing individual. He seems to have a way of brightening up people's day by just interacting with them or being helpful. That said, he doesn't go looking to be the center of attention and typically keeps to himself, thus he can be found reading a good book or preparing something in the kitchen most days. All that said, once in a while, if a person looks close enough, they can see signs of someone trying to live up to unrealistic expectations that they put on themselves.

Although he is willing to obey figures of authority, he is not above questioning or pointing out the flaws in their actions. He also values people's lives highly and hates it when they are treated as expendable or they are not shown the proper respect, especially in regards to knowing the truth about the world around them.

Background: Alex's life, like many people, has been a mix of ups and downs. He never knew his father as that man had divorced his Mom some time after his birth and thus, she had to take on the role of being a single parent. As such, he ended up having to mature a bit faster than other kids his age. As one can expect, this meant he rarely saw her due to having to work late to support them. Despite what you may expect, although this did depress him he held no resentment towards her, though he was always curious why his father had abandoned him.

...The most he ever got from his mother was she and him just didn't see eye to eye on many things.

Alex always loved things to do with fantastical creatures and other worlds, and as such, he spent a great deal of his time playing video games, looking up myths and legends, and reading stories to kids in his neighborhood. Of course, that didn't mean he neglected his studies, and was actually quite good at them. He also worked various odd jobs to help his Mom too.

Eventually, upon graduating from high school, he took some time off and, using the money he had saved up, decided to go exploring the world, perhaps even find what had happened to his father. Although his mother didn't agree with his plans, she gave him her blessing anyways.

...Of course, during his trip, he had decided to catch a few Z's while he waited for the next bus...only to wake up on a bench...in the middle of a town...that was clearly not one he had seen on any map before...

Needless to say, it was clear he was not in Kansas anymore...
