Current Rest In Peace Akira Toriyama. A huge part of so many childhoods. His legacy lives on stronger than ever.

I have no love for Soul Caliber (no hate either, just never played it), but that is a super cool addition. I freakin' love Nier Automata.
Too goddamn right.
They have the audacity to demand all these changes and then blame the director or screenwriter when it performs poorly.
Only time will tell where this goes. It could be good, but it could also take a turn for the worse. And to be fair, Ghost in the Shell wasn't a total failure. ScarJo's casting was a misstep, but everything else was fairly enjoyable. As for Death Note... well, Defoe's casting was one of the few saving graces. Dragon Ball Evolution, however, was just pure crap.

I liked the Ghost in the Shell movie a lot. I thought they did a tremendous service to the original, and I liked all of the cast. It was definitely one of the better western adaptations of anime that's come out. Though, to be fair I have not watched the original for over a decade, so my memory is a bit fuzzy.
It does leave me in two minds though. On one hand it shows that there's potential for more coming out that get it right, but on the other hand I don't want to see a flood of adaptations especially when it's properties that can't be adequately distilled down to a single film.

It's just unfortunate that they seem to all start out with good intentions and then they go totally off the rails and start making unnecessary changes that damage the final product.

Fuck me, this band is good!
I would really like Beamdog to make an Infinity Engine game with Fifth Edition rules. I tried to play Sword Coast Legends but it was so loosely based on the ruleset I just couldn't get into it.
I've been playing Icewind Dale 2 a lot lately and if they can implement Third Edition rules so well then Fifth should be a snap.

That Tilian Pearson, such a world class vocalist. I preferred him in Tides of Man, but DGD are pretty awesome too.
You had me at MissCapnCrunch.

I'm in.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is exactly what I wanted it to be. Basically, it's the same as the last two games and I'm perfectly happy with that. It seems to be taking a couple of cues from Horizon Zero Dawn with it's outfit crafting and resource gathering, but no complaints from me there.

Hot damn, this is what Power Metal should sound like!
Today's Nintendo Direct was pretty good, I reckon. Not a whole lot of surprises, but there were a lot of announcements. I think there would have been something for everyone to enjoy in it.
Now if they could only bring out more info on Metroid Prime 4!
