I got us an OOC to talk further.

I am still up for something. if anyone is wondering. I have edited the OP.
Private RP. Lurkers welcome, share your popcorn at least.

A duo of two fandoms: A Doctor Who RP with Eleven & Rose and a Harry Potter RP with Remus and Hermione.

So far we've established the following general premises:

{ Rose is in her other dimension, having moved on after losing the Tenth Doctor.

[ And we have Remus and Hermione dealing with the aftermath of losing their loved ones.

[ Hermione has lost Ron and Remus lost his child and wife.

Some things we still need to work out:

[ How long after the war should we start? I'm thinking at least six or seven months. We could say Hermione and Harry finished school and Harry's with the Ministry of Magic while Hermione has taken to constructing a new Time Tuner. I assume she would be living with her parents in the muggle world or she would be living on her own in the magical world or London, where the lines tend to blur.

{ For Eleven and Rose, we still need to figure out what Rose would be up to. If we're doing something about TenToo if so what? And probably what her mum and dad are up to as well. We know Mickey went off with Martha, so we don't have to worry about him. We also need to figure out what sort of episodes or plots we want them to do. I'm still a bit unconcerned that we should use the cracks since it tired really close to River and Amy and Rory, but if you have an idea, I'm all ears.

I ended up trying to differentiate between talking about each fandom, so it's a bit more organized. When we do start the IC, we'll break it up however we want, with a bold name or some dashes or a line, whatever. ^^;
I could do Harry Potter but would prefer Top Gear. For both I would prefer a use of all canon roles, unless your OC idea and character dazzle me and if we can agree to double up. Though even if OCs aren't used, I still encourage doubling anyway.
No worries! ^^;
So we're fine with saying the TARDIS locked onto Rose because of a similar signal she emits maybe? I'm fine with playing Eleven as a Doctor who (haha) hadn't encountered her before. It seems somewhat plausible, granted when Rose finds out she doesn't "exist" in his past, would it really hurt her? Because it could be a hard blow (depending how grown up she is now) and I'd hate to derail progress so soon. But it would be a bit fun, I'd think, to have her recount tales of them together. I'm sure the Doctor would do the same, and maybe some of them would be similar in nature and occurrence. So in a way, she's meeting someone new, not going back to the old past which could be bad.

We could always just make the TT work for us, I mean I don't remember a lot of info given in the books and I lost mine so I'd have to use the internet. Still, we can probably find a way to make it go back and forward in time. Or it could be something Hermione herself invents? I mean the TT could be a bit old or even destroyed (I think the stash was obliterated supposedly) and thus she spends her time making a new device for time travel, seeing as there isn't much she wants to do. We could say something like, her parents died or even Harry or Ron did? This she could throw herself into such a device with a real reason, and she and Remus could probably connect, trying to relieve the past (it not working) and then trying to move on together. We could even have them go back in time several times to either say their cryptic goodbyes to their loved ones if you liked the idea.

At any rate, I can probably make us an OOC. While both RPs would be different (unless....we wanted a hilarious crossover at some point) I would prefer to keep both in the same thread for the sake keeping track of them fairly. Sometimes if you have two threads with someone, one ends up getting left behind.
Genkai is watching Top Gear and being lazy because it's too hot to write a lot.
With her being "Bad Wolf" we could say the TARDIS sought her out when it was in trouble. Perhaps jumping to another dimension (hers). Or we could have him be a totally "new" Eleven who was Nine and Ten accordingly but n the dimension Rose is in, the Doctor never met her, which could work? If you'd like to play Rose, that's fine with me. I'm protective of her but as long as you don't play as she was when she left the Doctor (which I think was horrible on the writers part) I'll be happy. I loved Rose for season 1-2. Nine really helped her grow up and Ten helped her step out of the background a bit more, that's what I enjoyed about her. In the end, she ended up having her life wrecked and while her devotion to the Doctor was great to see, I feel like it ended up doing its damage when she worked for UNIT and all that, like Martha.

Oh yes, I know what serendipity means. ^^; I think a flaw with the TT is that you can only go back and to move forward, you must wait it out. I dunno. I forget, you probably could turn it the other way and move that way. Even so, I would love to deal with the TT at some point. My only concern and it's a bit out of left field but still..is that Hermione goes back in time to Remus' time and befriends him. Then later he's turned into his younger self. It all seems...weird you know? Like too convenient as if she may have had a hand in it. Which I know wouldn't be true (because THAT would be creepy) but you know what I mean? I'd hate to imply the potion was done out of selfish reasons, so an accident would be what was best. Unless it's post war, we could have Tonks and the child dead (though to be honest, I never bought the two together, much like most of the romance pairs in the books) and thus Remus needing a new lease on life, thus voluntarily changing into his youth?

Otherwise, an accident is a good way to go, it just depends on the timing in the time line.
My expectations were low when I saw it, I was dubious. I don't know there was some "self fulfilling prophecy" going on but I still felt rather indifferent about it even after watching the movie. I didn't set out to "hate" the movie but I was curious as to what everyone had been going on about.

Can expectations alter your perspective about a movie?

Yes. I was looking forward to Iron Man 3, had been following news and progress profusely for months and months (getting so hyped) and yet I came out of it, far less happy than I had intended to feel. It was good, I enjoyed it but it did not meet expectations and left me feeling a little void of something I had been looking forward to.

In terms of Frozen, if I liked it, I would be happy to jump on the bandwagon but instead, my curiosity had not been piqued as much as I had hoped and it ended up being a "meh" movie. So having an open mind is probably better than having any expectations at all. Had in not been for the outside hype for Frozen, I may have been able to like it without carrying a slight bias. Even so, the plot and characters would still be flimsy and who knows, I still may not be in love with it.

I wouldn't watch it again, there's no point to waste my time with a movie I don't like, when I could re-watch one I do. Emperors New Groove, Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Oliver and Company, Lion King, etc.

Be that as it may, I wouldn't try comparing Frozen or other movies to each other. They're movies but with plots so vast and tastes just as vast, it's like comparing bananas to crackers, they're all food but they make different people feel different things. It just seems unfair a bit.
Craving a Nine for my Rose, happy to double.
Gonna get a post up sometime today, with luck.
