I'm only human.

Aren't we all?

Eventually we all fall.

Hello! I know our interest check as a ton of information so I'm glad you didn't jump dump it all in here since it would be a bit overwhelming. I think we need to focus on discussion and also prioritize them since some information we can easily figure out when the IC has kicked off. Also, if you make me a co-GM, I could edit your posts (in the OOC only for instance) if you're ever busy and you could edit mine if needed. If you'd rather not, that's fine too but I don't want editing and organization to fall solely on your shoulders, is what I mean. :)

Now, I really like your regeneration/recycle idea, I think it's a very good description of what we were going towards so I'm on board with that. In terms of comparing Rathe and Earth, should we just visualize two spheres side by side? Or do we want them somewhat parallel to hint towards some locations or geology mirroring one another? I'm kind of leaning toward them not being parallel because it's probably less complicated that way and that certain channels with highly contained energy/magic (cherry trees, for example) are the connective pathways.

The next conservation of reality, is fine with me but just to double check that I'm on the same page: A human from Earth may find themselves as another race in Rathe. I think I get that and that it's pretty randomized. And if someone from Rathe goes over as another race, they'll likely become a human but the alternative is vanishing from existence entirely. Do I have that right?

I think our first focus should be the factions? I think a general history and major players will be all we need before we start making characters. I think when we kick the IC off, we can go back and further detail the factions' layout and such. And of course, we probably need to go over skill sets with magic, maybe a basic idea of currency/economy in Rathe, but we generally know things are on the down slope, so to speak so food/supplies/etc won't be as readily as normal.

Should we try to go over a basic history of cycles between the two worlds? Should we assume one faction or maybe both together, decided to doom Rathe in the past, hence the prosperity being horded by Earth?

And we did want to focus on the weather and seasons too.

So...I think if we tackle each topic on its own, it'll be easier to brainstorm and focus.

Tomorrow I'm in class for four hours but before then I commute an hour each way. When I get home I usually don't go online unless it's pressing. But during class I can usually be online for a few hours, unless we have to do group/busy work or watch a film. And of course I have Tue off but I may go into the city to see a movie. But since two essays are done, this week looks a lot less congested for me. I hope things are going well with you and all your goals. I know you're even busier than I am so thanks again for getting our OOC started. *laughs*
I know the pain...*sighs* But if that's the case I'll happily hold off on my post. If we wanna decide in the OOC which request to take, we can, lest we go in circles in the IC. I'm leaning towards the elementary school or business one. Also, when moving on since it's just us four, just stick to those characters and ignore the others. I'll try and update the CS post with our information tomorrow during classes (cause who wants to pay attention to Paradise Lost?).
Wow, two posts? XD What a fine reward after a long week of dull academic writing. :3

If @vietmyke can't post in the next 48 hours, I'll probably get something up before/around then.
Kaoru knew her actions might have caused some disappointment in Kenshin but shouldn't help herself.

She knew she should have better resolve but she hated seeing someone bully someone else, even if it was something minor and non-life threatening.

Her eyes moved to where his attention was: on the groceries. "Oh. You're right..." She hoped some of them could be salvaged but it was apparent that the rice was beyond salvation. The vegetables, fruits and some of the wrapped meat were picked up by Kenshin while she stood back and listened. He was right, they couldn't let the guy cause further disruption to them but she was still pretty on edge and could only grumble to herself. The Tajima clan was already causing strife in the city and she hoped her little confrontation wouldn't cause someone innocent unnecessary harm.

Sighing, she finally felt her temper lessening. "You're right." She gave him a nod finally. In the back of her mind, she knew his fighting style was different in numerous ways but she knew he could still lend his knowledge to her. He was very clever, after all he did survive the Revolution. The auburn haired man soon finished and they headed back to their own dojo. Her thoughts were still somewhat rattled, even though her mood had settled back to its usual contended state.

Even though the altercation hadn't escalated, she knew it could have, quite easily. She was certain the man beside her disapproved of her action and that was a terrible thing to consider. The last thing Kaoru wanted was to disappoint someone she admired and cared for. While they walked, the woman thought about what to say or if she should just leave the incident behind and not bring it up. Before she could say anything herself, Kenshin spoke up and said how good it would be to have someone finally stand up and prove that Tajima's ways were flawed and could be better used to protect people.

When he finished by saying her own style could earn such respect, she gave him a wide smile. His words really meant a lot to her, as did his own opinions. It was a great relief to know he wasn't upset, even if they had differing ideas about handling some situations. "Thank you, Kenshin." She said. To her, Ryuuto and his father seemed to only understand things taught through the sword so if she had to go that route, so be it. "Of course, your help will be very vital to proving our point." She told him. As the Kamiya dojo came into view, she glanced at the food in his arms. "Why don't we make dinner together?" She suggested. "We could grill up some chicken and vegetables."

She could already hear Yahiko's stomach growling.
Looking for Orphan Black, Harry Potter, Doctor Who or Legend of Korra.

@BurningDaisies Thanks! I just finished my second essay yesterday so I could have Sunday to myself. I already have to plan for two 8 page essays since they're both due at the same time, lest I end up going crazy...ahem. I'll go to the OOC now, thanks again for making it.
Yay, a post!
