OOC is up!

- - A small group of strangers spread across a fantasy realm, all stumble across pods which they have never seen before. In their fantasy world, things are carefully handcrafted out of tempered iron and steel, wood and clay. Water is fresh and food is plentiful. Their world seems free of danger, never cursed to endure the struggle of war or strife. But these sleek pods still call out to the group of strangers who step inside, invited by an invisible force.

There is a mage, perhaps even two. There is a princess, a knight and even an archer. All of these strangers have one common thirst: adventure.

Once inside the strange pods, they are all flown to a modest sized space ship and are put into stasis. Many years pass until they are able to awaken. It is upon their reawakening that they see their world has been destroyed, ravaged by some unknown force or even alien army. The group of strangers must combine their forces together as they travel the universe, trying to find answers and another home.

GM Notes: So the basic idea is putting pure fantasy crafted characters in a pure science fiction setting. Magic and the like will still work if a character uses it. These characters will take on roles that a normal crew would such as the captain, second in command, medical officer, etc. I think this to be more fun than serious despite the parameters being set so firmly in terms of the setting and characters. The two genres are different but I think would play well together. The age range I am envisioning are those in their mid to late twenties or even early thrities, so if you're thinking of playing a child or teenager, this isn't the best RP for you. I may take on a co-GM who would get a perk when crafting their character, like an extra weapon or special trait that I'd otherwise find too cliche or not fair to the rest of the cast. A co-GM would help keep things moving should I be too busy so if anyone is interested in that, let me know. And if anyone is interested in this, let me know too! My interest in both genres hasn't been combined like this so I'm hoping it's interesting to others.
Glad to hear it. Finally got my final grades, passed em all so I should have my diploma in about a month or so. Phew. In the meantime it's applying for jobs and taking an online training course. The OOC will be up by tomorrow night, keep those character ideas rolling around though. I'll try to be as brief but as informative as possible!

ME:A has been a fun distraction ahaha.

Life happens, I'm aware. I had to assume the silence meant either life got the better of you or you weren't interested. I'm sorry things got so hectic for you.
Sorry, Mass Effect Andromeda stole me away for a bit there. But I finally got my grades back and I passed all the classes which is such a huge weight off my shoulders!
"Thank you, Kaneko-san." Kosuke bowed his head slightly as he entered the small cafe upon Tsubaki graciously holding the door open for him. She was sweet girl though most students at their school were well behaved, he considered some of them acted that way because it was expected. That some used politeness as a mask of sorts, with girls like Tsubaki and Mina, seemed nice without it seeming fake or sneaky in some kind of way. Soon it wa agreed upon that they would alternate treating each other during various outings. It sounded like a strange proposal but coming from Mina, it made sense. But it gave them all a chance to catch up and that sounded like a delightful way to spend time in Kosuke's mind. "Thanks Sho-kun." Kosuke smiled warmly at his friend.

Mina looked to Tsubaki as they all began to figure out which rice ball they would get. "They all look so good huh?" She commented to the brown eyed girl. "I already know what I want." She declared and tilted her head towards the blond. "What about you?" Mina had to assume she would pick something not so bold or out of the ordinary but she was sure whatever Tsubaki decided upon, would be yummy. Kosuke on the other hand, had already decided and had taken out his phone to text his parents that he would be delayed in getting home since he was out with his friends. His parents were supportive of their son's extracurricular activities, even the ones that didn't pertain to music.

Stepping over to Sho who was to be stuck with the bill for this particular outing, Kosuke slipped his phone back in his pocket and looked to his friend. "If you'd like I can split the bill with you." He offered, knowing it wasn't really necessary to offer but Kosuke offered because he was that kind of a guy but also to poke fun a little, just a little at Sho who enjoyed making a dramatic huff even when it wasn't really true. Kosuke was certain the drama club would be an excellent fit for Sho as well as Mina but for him and Tsubaki? It would be a different experience.

Meanwhile Mina was already beginning to think about where she would take the group on their next outing. She was thinking of a crepe place or perhaps a candy store or even a place with okonomiyaki and dumplings. The possibilities seemed endless and were already beginning to make her mouth water. But she had to remind herself what was in front of her right now. And it would be light and delicious. "I wonder if Sho-kun would let us get drinks too." She pondered aloud, playfully using a more casual tone in regards to Sho, knowing it might ruffle his feathers if he overheard her.
Get some rest, stop letting our rambles distract you from sleep! Though talking has made me forget to stress about my grades not being released yet. ^^;
I don't wake up to those thoughts but I do go to sleep with them sometimes. Or try to sleep. :/

You rest well and get to writing in the AM, you'll do great!
At least we have each other and what fandoms we can enjoy together :3

I think Hermione learned when she spent more time with the boys, I think by years 2+ she had some acquaintances and probably did some tutoring for other folks.

Okay. :3 Well our big scene is fast approaching, the feels will get even more tough. Oh and btw, your last Ino line is in Shikamaru's color, you can change it or leave it. It's up to you. I've got one more post to make here before I go to bed but I'm guessing you're turning in soon, it's late XP
I was excited for that Sherlock Holmes one. Finding someone who does that but not BBC's modern day Sherlock is equally rare. :/ I didn't think I wrote a lot either, I just summed up what we talked about. I would have adjusted if he asked me to instead of ghosted. Oh well, that's what happens to us. It's nothing new. -___-

I don't think she did. I mean Ron mocked her openly for not having any friends. Plus I have a feeling her intellect maybe made others less inclined to approach her, she could come off as a know it all. XD

Got YYH up, it's kinda bleh but maybe I think that because Botan is feeling bleh. XD
A slender finger pressed itself upon Botan's lips, effectively silencing her targeted babbling.

Her eyes leered at Shuichi as he seemed to apologize on her behalf. 'What does he know about anything?' She thought to herself with a slight inward smirk. 'Look at sweet little Shuichi protecting his mother from the truth. I suppose lies are the common currency exchanged between people on this planet. No one is ever truly honest with one another, much less themselves.' Botan thought to herself, feeling pleased with the mess she had created. It had been so easy. 'Serves him right for meddling in my affairs. Why won't he just leave me alone? It's not like I deserve such kindness. It's not real anyway.' Her pessimism was broken when she noted the tears struggling to stay entombed inside Shiori's eyes.

A knot coiled itself in Botan's chest as she felt a sudden gust of regret hit her directly in the heart. It knocked the wind out of the girl. The woman was kind, exceptionally kind. Even after Botan was so harsh, Shiori and Kurama didn't waver from their true feelings for Botan. It was...moving. "I..." Kurama's hand as removed from her mouth as he apologized for invading her personal space. "I'm sorry, really...I didn't mean..." She said softly, her timid voice trying to reach beyond the depression closing back in on her. It was as if a grey cloud was hovering over it, trying to descend and fully surround Botan with darkness, with a means of blocking the light that Shiori and Kurama both emitted.

Her jaw locked as she struggled to see through the darkness closing in on her. She felt her emotions slipping away from her. It felt like she was slowly suffocating. The light faded from Botan's eyes as she glanced off and got up from the table abruptly. "I'm tired now." She said flatly and left the room, moving up the stairs at a lazy pace. Botan headed back to her room and shut the door, staring off into space. Botan sighed deeply and undressed, kicking her clothes to the side as she got ready for bed and headed out to the bathroom next to her bedroom.

Once she was done brushing her teeth and washing her face, she skulked back to bed and shut the door before getting under the covers. She felt isolated, misunderstood. She also felt tired and knew a night's rest would do nothing to ease her anxiety and constant strain. Curling up, her back to the door, she closed her eyes and fell into the darkness eating her away, consuming her. When light filtered through the window, Botan stirred and finally got up, knowing if she didn't, Kurama would bother her until she did. She dressed for school but found herself moving at an even slower pace.

Something felt...off. The blue haired girl felt even more suffocated than usual. She felt less empty and more sad, trapped. Like she knew getting up and getting dressed didn't matter. She didn't matter. Nothing really mattered. Botan went down the stairs and moved into the kitchen, getting herself a cup of tea before she saw Kurama heading down the stairs in his pristine maroon uniform as usual, looking perfect and flawless as ever. Botan rolled her eyes, feeling stupid for staring. Shiori had left out bowls of fruit and oatmeal for them which Botan skipped and headed towards the door to slip into her shoes, not bothering to greet Kurama a good morning.
