I think it's great you seem inclined to play layered characters. I think it's tough to balance out motives and interest which I think are ever-changing like in real life. Antagonists can be fun to play, I think a lot of folks enjoy playing the bad boy/bad girl from time to time. I know it's not something I do well so I can commend those who can take someone a bit questionable and give them some added depth and reasoning behind their actions, even if they're not so agreeable at times. In terms of playing in the dark, so to speak, I am sure you'd be able to find an outlet for such interests. I know I've seen a few RPs where there is an emphasis on dark, nefarious worlds and characters.

Oh no, you've uncovered my ruse. Now I must make a Case Close/Detective Conan/Spiral reference and say "Only one truth prevails." or "There is one simple truth" or something. If we have interests that connect, sure! I'm always down for more one on ones. I used be quite a famous one on one whore, I'll have you know. XP

Well to be fair, we can have girl on girl and guy and guy though I'm mostly a sucker for some guy on girl, I know that's pretty unheard of these days...I tend to plan a character before their sexuality. Some folks go for the focus on sexuality more though, everyone's different I suppose haha.

That is true, cannibalism seems so convenient. But I doubt I have enough flavor. Salt and pepper would be nice though who am I to complain when I've got two arms to eat? Some people don't have any arms to eat. I've gotta wager though, you're somewhere in the sweet sunny state of CA huh? Aww slice of life is fun but it's not for everyone. I've done some fun slice of life stuff. Ya know cute stuff, kids in high school, somewhere in Japan, both kinda lonely, both become pals and find an old shrine in the middle of nowhere, bike around town and use the shrine as a hideout to hangout. So cute. Then my partner bailed so yeah. And then there was another one but if I think about long lost stories, I'll get long lost in sadness. But stories and partners end without closure a lot of the time, you've got to learn to accept that fact. So enjoy the RPs you have now and try to make them last. A partner with good communication and a readiness to meet you halfway is a great find.

I tend to go for stories that put a bit more a priority on character development and growth over trying to see who can swing the heaviest sword. And I hope that's not doublespeak. Buuut it could be. Trust me, you're in good hands around here. No one seems to remember any accidental blunders or slip ups, unless by chance you find some epic arch enemy around here, in which case what your back and your grammar. I still vouch for one on ones, but I'm biased there. One on ones are my jam and marmalade. Mmmmm.

Oh don't use the blender, that would be a horrid mess to clean up! Having an interest in historical studies is pretty neat, it's a field not many seem to delve into these days, sadly. I've seen quite a few historical roleplays (either in the traditional sense of with add bits of paranormal or fantasy elements thrown in) around here so I'm sure you can find something to tickle your fancy. Awww thank you for your seal of approval. I may just print it and pin it to the fridge. Gotta capture those moment of humans being bros, am I right?

You don't need to know anyone to write with them, you can make an interest check and make friends through writing that way. I know someone here who I've been writing with for over five years, some on and off and others are new but I love meeting fellow writers so I'm sure you'll find just as many partners! Let's see I GM a few Advanced Group RPs. I have a few one on ones which are a bit slow lately but that's okay, life is busy so I understand the need to go slow. I'd rather someone take their time than rush rush rush. I tend to go with fandom RPs because I have more fun developing canons than go an original route but original RPs have been fun in the past. I do have a good Fire Emblem based RP kicking off, I have a Game of Thrones, Legend of Korra, Naruto, a few others...I have two sci-fi/fantasy group RPs kciking off as well.

It sounds like a lot but I love it. I just graduated with a degree in Creative Writing and am job hunting so I have more time on my hands than I usually do. I have found roleplaying has helped my academic writing though. It's a great outlet for creativity. Of course it does mean school tended to pull my attention and call for unexpected hiatuses but I'm more active now. Some people can juggle a lot, others can't, it all depends on how "fair" life decides to be I believe.

Oh crap, did I make a typo? It is 11 PM here and I'm juggling a few tabs. Still, such an embarrassment is unacceptable and I must go throw my head in the oven...brb.

In terms of where you might start, perhaps a one on one would be the best way to shake off your rust. You only need work with one other person and so plotting and pace move at the speed you're comfortable with. If life steals you away for a couple of days, most folks are pretty understanding and some even prefer a more slow pace compared to a frantic posting schedule. With one on ones, you can also dictate posting size in terms of paragraphs, you do that with groups as well but one on ones often allow for more adjustment if you're having an 'off day' or something.

Wow, you have a lot of lies. Or you did and used some up. :/ That's pretty crazy though! Clearly life isn't done with you yet. I hope writing is a bit more of a safe activity for you. :3 And watching anime or reading, etc are also more harmless hobbies. I haven't seen anime in a few years though I still go back to the classics like The Slayers, Yu Yu Hakusho and Ranma 1/2 every now and then. Oh I'm just being a wistful old lady now...haha.

Hey there, you seem like a really cool person. Your writing style seems very approachable but still thoughtful. I hope you can find the Guild a good home for you with many outlets to write with other passionate folks. If you need anything, myself or others are surely happy to help. I think my Nohr Twin would be a butler. My Hoshido Twin (Mechanist or Onmyoji) would probably be a retainer to my Hoshido Sibling. My Hoshido sibling would be Falcon Knight. My other retainer for her (aside from my Hoshido Twin) will probably be Swordmaster. I'm also thinking about making a Nohrian Dark Knight or Adventurer as a side role. It's hard to say though.
