Would damage healed be classed as damage dealt for XP gain purposes?

That's a good point. Under the current system Meat and Metar will be filtching all the XP by causing high damage and pulling in attacks.

After the first few battles the rest of us will be falling behind with no way to improve our own performance to match them, without changing our characters now to do exactly the same thing, which would be a bit pointless.
@BCTheEntity I wouldn't want to make the repairs too powerful, otherwise there'd never be any risk during the battles as long as I was still alive.

With a defence score of 7 you'd only be taking damage if we're facing an opponent with an Attack rating of 8 or higher and so would only need my 2 healing once every two rounds. On the other hand, Meat Mallet would be dead by the second round, having taken the full 8 strength hits each time.

As for scaling, by making the repairs based off of my Attack rating it gives me incentive to upgrade my Attack when I level up, rather than piling everything into Defence and making myself invulnerable to anything short of a Planetkiller.

If your favorite vehicle is a Teppô you might want to go with something like 'Sniper Artillery: Cost 50. Automatically score a critical hit against your target for double damage' or something similar instead.

I wouldn't be looking to gain the 'C&C' ability until at least the second skill upgrade opportunity and so I should have time to see how the gameplay works a little before working out appropriate rules to make it work.

The 'Sniper Artillery' idea would've been my third choice, but I'd rather get the support role covered first before beefing up my attack abilities. Play to your strengths and all that. :)
Do you have room for a support role medic?

Name: Madison 'Nightingale' Johannson
Stats: 2/4/20
Level: 1
Skills: Field Repairs - Energy Cost: 25
Instead of attacking Nightingale may instead restore health for either herself or an ally equal to her Attack rating.
Traits: None
Gender: Female
Vehicle of Choice: Teppô Artillery Support Vehicle
Last modification: None

I'd plan on adding other support skills when upgrading, such as 'Resupply: Cost X. Transfer X energy from your own supplies to an ally' and 'C&C: Cost 100, Don't attack this turn. Coordinate team attacks to give all allies targeting the same enemy an Attack bonus equal to your own Attack rating'.
Hroot .
Heartwood of the Forest
Basic Information

Species: Spirit/Golem (Elf?)
Age: ~850
Gender: Female
Class: Mage/Warrior
Appearance:
As a spirit Hroot lacks a form of her own and instead shapes any tree she inhabits into a vaguely feminine form as best as she can. When made of wood, Hroot can move about by forming legs and walking just as any other humanoid would, but at the end of each day she must drink water and lay down roots to keep herself healthy.
Curriculum Vitae

Specialisations:Notable Traits:
Woodland Possession: While Hroot's usual form is that of a spirit she has the ability to force-grow a tree form in moments, allowing her to interact with the physical world when required. When she does this she loses her more magical abilities but gains strong physical based abilities instead. If her wooden form is ever destroyed Hroot reverts back to her spirit form and may not regrow another tree form until she has fully rested.
Hroot has no way of voluntarily releasing herself from her wooden form and can only return to her spirit form when her wooden shell is destroyed. Because of this she prefers to only enter a wooden body when it is absolutely required, preferring to remain incorporeal until such time she is needed.
Flaws:
Wisp On The Wind: In her spirit form Hroot has very little protection from harmful magics and can easily be dissipated if struck with enough magical force. She will reform over time, but until her spiritual shell is restored all Hroot can do is whisper encouraging words to her comrades.
Woodland Sprite: Hroot has a very strong connection to woodland and trees, but can feel weak when away from them. If she takes on her tree form in arid or harsh environments it will be brittle and dry, taking damage more easily unless nurtured and cared for properly.
Abyssmal Lure: As she can only use her Pull of the Abyss ability when in her spiritual form Hroot is also vulnerable to its effects. Whenever she uses the ability her spirit form is shattered by the force, leaving her in the weakened state just as she would be if her form had been dissipated in any other way.

Backstory

Biography:
While it is unknown how the entity known as Hroot came to be what is known is that she has existed in her current form since at least the time of the Second Exalted March and claims to be the soul of an unrighteously slaughter elf who was hung from a tree in the Emerald March by Orlesian soldiers simply for the crime of being elven. Unable to rest peacefully the soul wandered the woods for years watching its kinsfolk being slaughtered by the invaders without being able to do anything to stop them. Finally a tree spirit agreed to share its body with the bondless soul, taking the soul into itself. Unfortunately the act of kindness led to the two spirits merging together to create a new combined protective spirit of the woods.
Personality and/or Motivation:
Hroot is driven by the urge to protect those who cannot protect themselves, although her inhuman nature means she cannot always understand when her help is neither desired nor required causing her to sometime attack others in confusion when she doesn't understand people's actions and misperceives them as attacks. She has an inherent hatred for Orlesians and will only help them with reluctance, if at all.
Player’s long term goals:
As a spirit Hroot is trying to find her true place in the world, or failing that return to the Fade where she truly belongs. Any opportunities to explore her true nature and purpose will be greatly appreciated.
Relations:
While Hroot has strong ties to the woods she once called her home, all the people she knew in life are long since dead and now her only ties are to the mercenaries in her company, whom she's sworn to protect.
Secrets:
Hroot is not truly an elven soul at all, but a spirit of Memory created by the violence and bloodshed of the Exalted March against the Dales. As such there is a danger of her becoming a Rage demon should she ever be exposed to the truth about the crimes which were committed during that time.
I dunno... Chuck wouldn't look quite right in a Sailor Moon dress...
Actually, I think I'm going to bow out of the RP. I was going for a fast moving, knife fighter style of character but since most of the characters who are being accepted seem to be over-the-top Force users I don't think Dede would fit in very well.

Best of luck with the story.
So we're not going to get the opportunity to hijack a T-Rex to invade France with then? *pout*

Well, I had thought about taking it to Spain, but then I realised how much money all the suntan lotion would cost and thought better of it.
How about her nickname being based on something she did, rather than her name? Maybe something about how she jumps about?

How about people referring to her formally as 'Do' (her surname), informally as 'Cyclone' (after both her Telekinetic Whirlwind ability and her tendency to move 'like the wind' in close combat) and casually as 'Cyc' (pronounced as Psych, a shortened form of Cyclone, and possibly a comment on her being a little psycho at times. )

The thing with Jedi healing and medical care is that the best of the best aren’t on Coruscant. They are on H’Ratth, as that is the place where the best healers are trained and reside.

There's probably a good reason for her being on Coruscant, but Dede wouldn't necessarily know about it herself. She might be just as confused as the others as to why she woke up there rather than on H’Ratth.

The Short shoto sabers can just as well block and deflect as larger sabers can. They just don’t have the same reach. Still, if you prefer to have Force Deflection rather than Tutaminis then that is fine. Its Jedi reflexes combined with lightsaber (of whatever size) that helps with deflection, not the size of the saber alone.

After careful consideration I think I'll drop the Tutaminis ability. I just can't see it fitting with Dede's style of combat and persona. As I said before, she's more likely to dodge an attack than try to absorb it, and for those occasions when she can't the Force Deflection would be used to provide cover.

The shoto she'd be using would only be about 20cm long each (similar to the one Master Sora Bulq uses in his left hand,) so it would be easier for her to 'punch' the blaster bolts away with her hand than to try and steer the short, thin blade to deflect them in time, even with her enhanced Jedi reflexes, so I think the Force Deflection would still work for her.

The council doesn’t go about killing someone’s partners. Not only is it not something they’d do, but it would also set the “widow(er)” on the path to the dark side.

I didn't mean to give the impression that the Council had Dede's ex-partner killed after allowing her relationship to continue, the woman in question was just a tragic casualty of war with no hidden agenda in play.

Of course, if a Sith wanted to plant that seed of doubt into Dede's mind... >D
From the distance Mayumi watch as one of the creatures dragged a man up out of the well and forced him to drink some sort of concoction. Moments later the beast was cutting into him and Mayumi quickly pulled her hand back, the Demon Heart Bow quickly forming a spirit energy arrow ready to be fired.

After a pause Mayumi realised all was not as it seemed. The little creature wasn't hurting the man, who'd fallen into what appeared to be a deep sleep, but instead carefully tending his wounds. Point her bow skywards Mayumi let the arrow fly up into the night harmlessly and settled back to watch the medic at work.
We would suggest her simply knowing a lot of languages instead of Comprehend Speech.
@Rtron

If she has the 'Drain Knowledge' power then learning another language should be easy enough for her. As soon as she arrives on a new planet she just grabs the nearest local and absorbs the lexicon.
