I guess my comfort zone is "eccentric side character."

Whatever Tylar had expected to see it was not that. Something was triggered within him, some deep and primal feeling of nope that flowed through his body as the thing finished with the rhino and turned to face him. He started swimming upwards as fast as he could, but in his panicked need to get away it as more like flailing and he failed to go anywhere and the thing closed in on him. Then he felt something grab hold of his shirt collar and yank. His head broke surface as the phantom limb dragged him to the shoreline. He scrambled in the mud and out of the water, clawing his way onto land. He ignored everything. He just started sprinting past the assembled animals for the treeline, shouting the only thing he could compare what he'd seen to, that name Stella had for the plushy that sat on her nightstand. "Cthulhu!" he yelled, running madly. "Cthulhu!" He shouted as a warning to any that was in a state to hear. "Cthulhu!" In the back of his mind he knew that he'd forgotten his bag at the shoreline, that he wouldn't be able to get anywhere without lunch and his wallet. The rational part of his mind knew he'd get reprimanded for losing it. The Phantom Limb followed along behind him, bag in tow.
Leo saw Janos fell down. He also noticed seven knives that flew high up in the air and fell down then. He moved quickly and lifts his arm, hunks of rock, dirt and wood gathers on his arm as a shield as he stands between the unaware students and the knives, blocking the knives from reaching the students. He lowers his shield and looks at the knives. One, two, three, four, five six..wait, wasn't there one more? He turns around and looks at Johann and at his shoulder where the red stain slowly spreads below his hand. it wasn't actually his fault, but he can't feel but having failed slightly."Sori. I miss." He apologizes him, not really knowing if he could hear him or not. He looks at his hand where he still holds long strip from Alistair's shirt, then he reaches that hand over and offers that."Uhh..a..laastari. Put on wound." He tries to explain."Äh, perkele.."
"Not your fault. Heroic effort, thank you." He replied, accepting the scrap of shirt graciously. He wraps his hand around the handle of the knife and quickly pulls it out before wrapping the makeshift bandage round the the wound and tying it tight. He looked back to the fight, then down at the bloody knife on the ground. He picked it up and tossed it back into their unofficial ring.
"Do not panic!" roared Hansel. Ironically, but nonetheless on purpose, he of course shouted in the most intimidating way possible to get him to panic. He spun twice and slashed twice, first to bat away the knives, second to try and bat away Janos head.
There's a meaty *thunk* sound that draws Johann's attention away from his conversation and down to his shoulder. There was a knife there. There was a knife in his shoulder. There was a knife that has cut clean through his new clothes and embedded itself in his shoulder. As decreed by dramatic law the pain did not hit him until he fully grasped the fact that there was a knife jutting out of his new clothes in the center of a widening stain in his shoulder. Someone else would have probably screamed. Johann, however, was a quiet boy. He took three deep, deep, deeeeeeep breaths to bury his anxiety, pressed his hand to the wound, and calmly asked Harry "Did you happen to see a first aide station on your way here?"
I could give this a shot.
"Johann." He says softly. This boy was very quiet in pretty much every way. "I suppose you have a similar goal? To protect something? To become strong?"
Harry thougbt about it for a bkt then said "I really just want to learn some control. I can uso some of my magic without a hitch." Harry then paused to make sure he worded this the right wayto get his poi t across then said "But as I'im'm sure you saw some of it is very unstable. So I just want to be able to use my magic safely. What about you whats your plan after this school?"
"One man band." he replies quickly. He didn't even have to think about it. "I'll probably have to keep training, though. Realistically. This place and I are a poor match."
"What do you believe she'll use it for?" Johann asked aloud, watching this boy watch the girl. "The dragon, I mean. After she graduates."
Harry looked at the dude who did the music for his duel with Yasuri. Then answered his question saying "Well my best guess is protect her village. She said she inherited her daggers from her village elder so I guess he wanted her to succeed him or her." after contemplating this thought a little longer Harry realized he never introduced himself to this dude. So he then said "I'm Harry by the way nice to meet you."
"Johann." He says softly. This boy was very quiet in pretty much every way. "I suppose you have a similar goal? To protect something? To become strong?"
Harry saw Eriella ran off toward a direction. He wondered what she was doing. But he figured that she knew what she was doing. Plus she always had her dragon if things went was wrong. Even now Harry was amazed at that dragon.
"What do you believe she'll use it for?" Johann asked aloud, watching this boy watch the girl. "The dragon, I mean. After she graduates."
"No idea. I've seen them before, but they were carved not glowing. They've disappeared though, so-" It is at this moment, ignoring the bodies for the first time and actually looking at someone else, that she noticed the marks hadn't vanished. She covered her face with one hand and made an angry little sound at the back of her throat. She had one. She didn't even have to look, she just knew. "Oh you bastard." She said to the orc corpse. "I told you to tell me what this was, but nooooooooo, you had to pick that moment to flop over. Couldn't just make this easy, huh? Could you!" She leaps up and swings her leg back to kick the body, but then catches herself. She diverts course and slams her boot into the underside of someones seat. Once. Twice, Three times. Then she growls, then she sighs, and hangs her head and counts to ten. There had been so much she planned to do today. Regaining her composure she looked up again, rubbing her temples. "If you're worried about that smoke I'd go to a Thaumaturgist before a doctor. If there was something normal harmful in that smoke you'd be feeling it by now, either in your head or your nose. I don't have the skills to say whether something magic has been done to you."
Johann also takes this opportunity to move safely away from this new duel, settling down on the grass. He would score this one as well, but improvising music that kept pace with what he was seeing was both physically and mentally exhausting. Still, he couldn't deny that it had been fine training. He decided he would hang around here a while longer, watching.
She goes to each of the men in turn, quickly and roboticly. Works over each one, giving them the same treatment as she fishes a tape recorder out of her coat pocket. She flips it on and begins speaking into it. "Party of 11 men, ages mid teens to early forties, predominately human, with two elves and an orc. State of the eyes indicate cause of death is suffocation." She quirks an eyebrow, leans down, and takes a huge whiff of the nearest body. "Days ago." She continues. "A little less than a week." She goes again, checking the smell of each one, looking closer for signs of decomposition. "This entire group was undead. No open wounds found on subjects nor any form of identification. Strange markings present on subject while they were animated have disappeared. Unable to accurately determine cause of second death at this time."
