Alias: Frankenstein Real name: Danny West Age: 4 Gender: Male
Appearance: A 7 ft tall, barrel chested, beefy armed, thick necked, hulk of a man. His hair is short, jet black, and constantly spiked out in all directions because of static electricity. His skin is blue and crisscrossed with numerous surgical scars that indicate extensive surgery. He has two bolts sticking out of both sides of his neck, and three protruding from between each knuckle. He doesn't wear shirts often, will never wear sleeves, and wears short almost exclusively. He has a long chain wrapped up around one arm, up down to his elbow.
Personality: Danny approaches all things with a strange mixture of Déjà vu and awe, like he has seen something before but is super excited to see it just one more time. If it's something really cool, like a laser beam, a giant, or a dinosaur, he'll want to see it no matter how dangerous it might be. He is essentially a giant child who wants to be a superhero because it allows him to see, do, and experience amazing things.
He's ruled by his emotions, especially anger, and is extremely naive. The kind of person that really believes that you can just punch all the badguys to make the world a better place, and that all the big bad guys wear costumes so you can identify them for punching.
There are two things he respects above all others: the words of his father and sanctity of life. He vaguely remembers that dying is a bad, bad thing and will do anything he can to keep someone else from experiencing it.
Despite the intimidating figure he cuts Danny is actually very friendly. He loves to tell stories and hear them in return, typically subjecting anyone he meets to a nigh endless stream of questions about their life while listening in rapped attention. If they decide to answer, that is. Danny's isn't the most tactful person on the planet.
Danny can typically be found doing odd jobs, trying to earn pocket money to pay for things he either wants or wants to see. Music events, movies, zoos, museums, these are the sort of places you can frequently find him. He's particularly vulnerable to tourist traps. If he's penniless he makes his own fun exploring the area.
Short Biography: Danny is an experiment in creating life from death, created by a very irate scientist. Unlike his namesake, however, the Doctor considered the creature his son and set about raising him into a proper young man. After teaching Danny the essentials of walking, reading, speaking, understanding social ques, and to always undertake his tasks with gusto he realized the boy was getting restless and decided to let him spread his wings. After building Danny a car and telling him that he could be either God or the Devil, he didn't care which, he sent his creation out to see the world for the first time with the stern warning that should the press or the cops ever show up on his doorstep Danny would be cut off. Since then Danny has been "living," as it were, out of his car and sustaining himself by climbing power lines and grabbing on.
Powers, Skills & Equipment:
--Electricity: Danny runs on an internal supply of electricity. The electricity can be expended to perform various feats. He can discharge it through the air, pump it directly into something, electromagnetize himself, or push his muscles beyond their limits. In the event that he is dismembered he can ever connect to his limbs with a stream of electricity to puppet them remotely.
---Super Undead Physiology: Danny is really strong to begin with, easily capable of lifting a family sedan all on his own. When expending electricity he could do the same to a tank or full 18-wheelrer, trailer and all. He is also capable of great leaps, able to clear a two story building unaided and a five story expending electricity. He is able to exceed the land speed of a car on foot. This is helped by the fact that, under normal circumstances, Danny just flat out does not get tired. He doesn't need air, food, water, or sleep and could run for up to three straight weeks without stopping to rest. While he still feels pain, and heals at the rate of a normal person, Danny can survive things that would kill a normal person outright. He is incapable of going into shock and does not bleed.
--Mechanic: Danny is quite good at repairing motor vehicles.
--The Frankenwagon: Danny's vehicle of choice, a loud black hotrod with lighting lovingly painted where flames would normally go. Built by Danny and his creator, the car has an emergency battery good for one full charge-em-up. It's modified for Danny's size so he can drive it comfortably. He doesn't have a lot of practical experience behind the wheel.
--The Chain of Pain!: Danny can use his chain like a lasso and weapon "just like Castlevania."
Weakness: Danny's electricity is an internal supply and acts sort of like his blood. He grows slower, weaker, and dumber the more it is used up, and will die again should it ever reach 0%. By his creators calculation, using electricity to supercharge his physical abilities deplete it at a rate of 2% every second, with discharges varying depending on how large they are. Danny can recharge from a source of electricity, and left without the ability to do so will only survive approximately three weeks. He can not use his electric abilities when submerged in water or touching something that conducts electricity easily, lest it drain out at an incredible rate. He obviously can not use any electric abilities while touching another person unless lest he electrocute them.
Maybe not a weakness specific to him, but despite his ability to function with nominally fatal injuries he can not survive the destruction of his brain.
Full Biography:
Herbert West, eminent surgeon, had heard all the jokes and for a few long years his fondest wish was finding a practice where no one had ever heard of either H.P.Lovecraft or Jeffrey Combs. That was before a group of vampires took over his hospital and forced him to perform experimental surgery on one of their own (the creatures head had been violently severed for its body and its cohorts insisted he "put it back"). This traumatic experience with some of the most famous monsters of Gothic horror perhaps piqued his curiosity and pushed him toward finally deciding to embrace his destiny. One dark, stormy night in his stately New England manor house he cracked open an old book to see if maybe Mary Shelly had been onto something.
Using John Does from the local morgue he set about his dark work, experimenting in his basement to create life. He succeeded beyond his wildest dreams.
The first year was rough. He obviously couldn't let Danny out of his house because, let's face it, that would raise some very uncomfortable question about where he'd come from. Fortunately he'd recognized where Frankenstein had gone wrong. What he had here was a child, and he resolved to treat it like one. His development was remarkable. In six months he was coordinated enough to let out of the basement, within the year he was speaking. within the next he and his father were talking shop about vintage cars and arguing about the quality of giant robot television shows. Despite these mutual loves Danny eventually grew listless, wondering about the world outside their door. Herbert realized that he had to let his boy spread his wings come what may, and sent him off in the car they'd built together to seek his fortune. Since then he's been riding across the country, occasionally foiling evildoers in the towns he's passed through. He's never actually been in a big city before.
Fun facts: -Favorite Color: Blue -Absolutely adores giant robots, especially super robots. His favorite fictional robot is Combattler V. He is still searching for his favorite non-fictional robot. -He dislikes vampires about as much as he loves giant robots. -He has a debit card connected to his fathers bank account, and is explicitly forbidden from using it for anything but buying gas. -Top three dream jobs: Astronaut, Race car driver, professional stuntman. -Named for the 1913 folk ballad "Danny Boy."
@Halvtand Accepted, post it in the Characters-section!
@Gentlemanvaultboy Looks almost good enough, but I'd like you to add how he acts in social situations in 'Personality', and also you should add what he does when he isn't being a hero. Where does he sleep, charge his batteries etc in the 'Short Biography'. Otherwise it looks great!
Everyone, listen up! We need everyone to decide where they will be starting out with their hero. Thus far, we have this:
Grimmarch: Havoc, Hercules
Claychester: Artemis, Echo, Godsmith, Anarchy
New Skywell: Corona, Blue Shift, Number 5, Roulette
The rest of you; try to spread out somewhat equally, I think a minimum of 3 is needed in every city. So at least one more to Grimmarch.

Name: Mana Shinome-Lutul Gender: Boy Age: 18 Race: Human Character Concept: A forgotten god is my imaginary friend.
Physical Appearance: A tall man, his athletic build and deeply tanned skin attest to his many years spent outside. His long black hair is done up in a long brain falls just slightly past his knee. He dresses modestly, a short robe hung over one shoulder, a pair of old pants, and some sandals.
Equipment: A long staff that doubles as his walking stick. A rucksack carried over one shoulder, containing a few days worth of food and a very plain looking book. Should something be written in the book its appearance is subject to change.
Personality: Mana is humble and helpful, typically the first to offer his aide in times of crisis or when it would just be convenient for the other person. He does not live for himself, but something higher, and for the sake of that thing he can't allow himself to die under any circumstances.
Goals: To delve the dungeons of the world, rediscover the origins and holy practices of the god he serves, and bring them back from the brink of death.
Beliefs: The gods are not to be insulted. Even the deities of your enemies are to be treated with the utmost respect.
Background: When Mana was very young he became lost during a storm. In the course of his wandering through the night he came upon shelter in the form of a small earthen shrine he'd never seen before and spent the night huddled against a strange, faded idol. When the storm passed he was able to find his way back home, but upon returning with his parents to show them the shrine that had sheltered him they discovered only a sheer cliff.
The shrine had been on a small island, blown up against the side of theirs by the storm, that had drifted away again as though it had never been there. If it had not been there Mana would have tumbled off the island. If it had floated away any sooner he would have been carried off by it. Being a very religious boy Mana took some food and a toy he considered precious and, picturing the weathered idol in his mind, cast them over the cliff in thanks.
Ever since that day there's been a presence about the boy, weak but omnipresent. He would feel reassurance during the bad times and would hear weak whispers in a language he didn't understand. Fearing for his safety his parent took him to a nearby monastery. The old monks calmed listened to their story, examined the boy, and felt that there was no danger. That, most likely, the shrine was dedicated to a god that had been forgotten and had diminished down to a voice in the wind. Mana's act of worship had caused the small god to stir and take notice of the boy. If he didn't worship it again it would fade again.
Mana, wanting to repay the entity that he was sure had saved his life, refused. instead he asked to stay with the monks, to be trained as a holy man, in the hopes that he could help his benefactor recover its name.
Racial Traits: Nothing special. Known Skills: Mana is strong, fast, and skilled with his staff. His studies under the monks have made him an expert in the religious practices of the world and numerous languages, some of which are dead. While he's not yet to the point where he can live off the dew of a single leaf and sleep comfortable even amid pouring rain, exposure isn't as much of an issue to him as others. Known Spells/Powers: His god is far to weak, at the moment, to grant him any sort of power. However it will speak to warn him of perceived dangers.
I almost had a post going, when I realized something important: I never typed that Kyo let go of his tablet, but how would he have held onto it with the other two kids holding onto his arms? I really never thought it through, I guess.
So...I might need a bit to figure out how to proceed.
Alfie wasn't holding his arm because it wouldn't have helped. She was gripping him about the waist.
