I guess my comfort zone is "eccentric side character."

I'm sorry, but what is the OP?

Also, The Forest is about to be added!

The first post of the OOC.

Here you go...please don't kill me...

You should put a copy of that link in the OP.
Did the discord disappear for anyone else?
Normal.
Also, any ideas for teachers would be helpful, as well as ideas for NPC's and specialty classes. If anyone wants to have multiple characters, than feel free to make another one. Just post it to the OOC for inspection!

If you're looking for NPC inspiration I've got a folders worth of character art labeled "Weird Kids" I could share.
Name: Claudia Rhoads
Age: 15
Appearance (pictures accepted):

Power: Claudia is a living volcano capable of generating molten lava from her skin and manipulating it to a certain degree. As a required secondary ability she is completely immune to the negative effects of intense heat.

Background: Claudia grew up in a trailer park in a small rust belt town with her three job working single mother. She was a quiet and withdrawn child, raised more by the neighborhood than her mother due to work, and didn't make a lot of friends. Then she set a school-bus on fire and everything went to hell.

It wasn't her fault. She was shy and frightened and her mama hadn't been able to drop her off like she'd promised and strangers were so loud and pretty soon the six year old had melted through the floor and given three other children sever burns. Her mother was quietly encouraged to ship her child off to a safe haven, but she didn't. This was her kid and she could home school her if she quit one her jobs and cut back here and there on things like food and electricity. This went about as well as could be expected.

Then, the pair heard of an opportunity. A way that they could stay together and still make enough to live. A secret game where people like Claudia could fight for money. She was scared at first. What child wouldn't be? She lost a lot, but she won some too, and when she won they were able to put good food on the table, buy clothes that weren't second hand, and get new appliances to replace the ones that broke. So, gradually, Claudia got into the swing of things. She started winning more often, and they had good things more often, and her mother smiled more often. By the time they were travelling around the country, hitting different underground competitions from sea to shining sea, they'd long since left their ratty old trailer behind and were living the good life on their winnings.

Then they got busted in Vegas at one of the biggest competitions, her mother was thrown in prison, and Claudia became a ward of the state and was shipped off to the Safe Haven. She's been there for two years now taking back lessons to get her up to something approaching a high school level education.
@Drakey

*Edit* Never mind, you saw it.

Yes, I would be all down for that. Claude kind of lives for that sort of thing.

I'm back from a bit of an absence. Tomorrow I'll start prodding people about posts.

How's it going, everyone? ^^

Good, just waiting around.
@Redward@Leslie Hall

Icarus leaned forward in rapt amazement as before his eyes the woman in front of him transmogrified into someone significantly younger. "W-wow." He said as she patted him on the head. "Th-th-that's amazing." He'd seen videos of himself transforming, or reverting he guessed, into Sasaki. Her transformation was definitely a lot more fluid and easy, almost beautifully so. On top of that she still got to be her at the end. He was about to ask about it when a voice suddenly invited him to the back of he room. He resolved to try and get more details later as he headed to the back.

He plopped into the open seat next to the boy that introduced himself as Jayce as the boy introduced himself as Jayce. He followed along as the intros went, carefully cataloguing each name and face. He always made a point of that. He didn't want to have to look then up if he forgot with his unreliable and slightly dangerous Network. He couldn't help but notice that the isolated boy he saw over Ellie's shoulder that very pointedly refused to look at them wasn't included in the roll-call, nor did he introduce himself. He wondered about that.

When it came to his turn he took a while staring at the loner, as if prompting him to speak up. After it was clear that he wasn't interested Icarus shrugged and happily chirped, "C-c-call me Icarus. It's a p-p-pleasure to meet you, and don't worry. I'm n-n-not going to say anything. I r-r-respect the game you're playing he-here too much. B-b-besides, it's exciting. N-n-no one's ever asked me to c-c-c-conspire with them before!"

The subject of what to do for the rest of the day was a tricky one. Honestly, Icarus was sure that even the boiling excitement of doing something you knew you weren't supposed to would mellow after too long. Besides which, he actually did enjoy his classes and could feel a twinge of disappointment that he would be missing them. Learning things was really fun. Oh, that gave him an idea. "I agree w-with Osman! We need s-s-some p-p-pointers on how a delinquent spends their d-d-day." He was still a rookie at fooling adults, after all. If he could observe and learn from some real life delinquents like these guys that could go a long way to getting him a little more personal freedom at home.
