Upon her prompt return to her bedroom the night before, Monalisa Brooks hurriedly grabbed her notebook and settled back into her original spot facing the window. For a few more hours, the young woman scribbled away in her journal, her eyes shifting to the spot in the courtyard every so often, waiting—and maybe even hoping—for another chance appearance of the headmaster and the mysterious masked man... or woman. This didn't happen, of course, which left Mona to form her own unlikely theories of what went down earlier that night. Of course, she wouldn't let anyone else hear about said theories; she'd agreed with the other students when it was mentioned that they should keep what they witnessed to themselves. Mona didn't want to start up any unnecessary gossip; besides, it wasn't like she had too many friends to share this information with in the first place. Mona didn't doze off until the blaring music from the party had finally ceased and the crowd of students had stumbled back to their own rooms.

She woke up just a few hours later to the sound of her alarm and, a few seconds later, her roommate groaning and muttering something about needing more sleep. See, Mona had always been more of a night owl rather than a morning person, which was something that she and her roommate surely had in common; it took her about twenty minutes to finally drag herself out of bed and to her closet, where she managed to grab a fresh outfit and head to the bathroom for a shower. It wasn't until after the scorching hot water began to run down her face that she remembered what had happened the night before; it was after she finished pinning her hair back and getting dressed that she decided to shrug it all off and try to forget it even happened. After all, she did have more important things to focus on, doing well in her classes being a main priority. "You have class in 20," Mona said to her roommate as she gathered her things and headed to the door, "You can't be late again." The other girl simply waved her hand and pulled the covers back over her head, muttering another string of barely audible words as Mona pulled the door shut.

When it came time for power training in Roxgeo Forest Mona found herself running a bit late, but she wasn't too worried about that fact. See, power training reminded Mona of gym class, a course that she hadn't been too fond of since an incident in elementary school. Although training in the academy wasn't the same as having to endure countless, brutal games of dodge ball and flag football, she still couldn't help but find herself slightly anxious at the idea of having to use her abilities in the forest. After all, her power wasn't exactly useful in combat. Nevertheless, Mona slowly made her way down to Roxgeo, her hands tucked in the pockets of her jacket. She figured she should just get it over with, all while hoping that she wasn't partnered with someone who could kick her ass.

he training session had already begun when Monalisa arrived in Roxgeo Forest; she'd arrived just in time to see a hologram of all of the pairings; It only took a few moments for Mona to realize that this "Yeojung Bae" person she'd been partnered with was none other than one of the girls from last night. "Yunnie," Mona said under her breath as she scanned the grounds; she spotted the girl in almost an instant. After all, it wasn't too hard to find someone who wore a large, navy blue bow and cat stockings. Upon approaching the younger girl, Mona couldn't help but notice that it seemed as if she'd just woken up from a state of unconsciousness; it made her wonder just what she had missed before her arrival. She stopped about a yard away from Yunnie, her eyebrow raised as she gave her a quick look over.

"I was running a bit late, so I'm really sorry if I kept you waiting..." Mona said in a soft voice, "The hologram thing said that I'm paired with you for today. I'm Monalisa... but I guess you already knew that..." Awkward. Of course she already knew that; they had only met a few hours ago. "Anyway, my power isn't all that spectacular; at least, it isn't when compared to some of the others I've seen. And it isn't useful at all when it comes to combat..."

Sia is currently in the work-study program at the university; she wanted to make as much money as she could so that she wouldn't have to worry her mother about sending her monthly checks. For now, she works as a Social Work professor's assistant; her job mainly consists of entering his students' grades into the online system.

Nastasia is a young, black woman who towers over a good portion of the women in her age bracket; she stands at five feet, eleven inches tall in flats and weighs in at a little over 185 pounds. She has more of an athletic build thanks to her exercise habits; her arms and legs are toned, and her abdomen is flat. Her soft-curled, shoulder length hair is dense but yielding, and thick enough to lose your fingers in. The young woman's skin is smooth and, on most days, free of any acne or scarring. When she's smiling, something that she does often, you'll be able to see two rows of pearly whites, almost perfectly straight despite never needing braces. She has helix piercings, conch piercings, tragus piercings, and lobe piercings in both of her ears. Sia also has multiple tattoos: her left arm sleeve is nearly complete, as well as the koi fish on her right thigh. She also has a few small finger tattoos that she got when she was a teenager.

When it comes to her fashion sense, Sia puts a great amount of time and effort into putting together her outfits. After all, it wouldn't really be a good look for the VP of Urban Couture to not look her absolute best on every occasion. You'll usually see her running around in a nice pair of pants, a solid colored blouse or top, and a pair of heels or boots. She'll accessorize by sporting a silver chain around her neck as well as three to five rings on her fingers. When it comes to makeup, Nastasia doesn't usually apply much of it unless she's going to a party or some special occasion; her daily routine simply consists of applying brows, a bit of foundation, lashes, and lip gloss.

Sia has always dreamed of being a famous dancer; She idolizes dancers such as Ciara, Fik-Shun, Ladia Yates, and Twitch, hoping that one day she will become as great and well known as they are. Like many aspiring dancers, however, Nastasia does have a back-up plan; if this doesn't all pan out, she plans on becoming a Child Welfare Caseworker. While it isn't her main goal, she does believe that it's something she'd be very passionate about doing given her own personal background.

// HISTORY //

Nastasia Patrice Bailey was born on March 16th in East Atlanta, Georgia. She was the eighth and final child born to Walter Haynes Jr. and/or Annalise Bailey, who provided all of their children with little to no support. The large family originally lived in a two bedroom apartment in East Atlanta; while Anna and Walter got the master bedroom to themselves, Sia and her siblings were forced to figure out their rooming situation on their own. Since Sia was the youngest, she earned a spot in the top bunk. The rest of her siblings alternated between sharing the bottom bunk and crashing on makeshift palettes on the floor. Their father, Walter Jr., was frequently in prison for assault and possession charges, and his longtime girlfriend, Annalise, was addicted to crack cocaine. Sia was five years old when she saw her mother and most of her siblings for the last time; it was then that she'd officially become a ward of the state and would begin her struggle within the foster care system.

For the next few years of her life, Nastasia would be in-and-out of multiple foster homes; by the time she started high school she'd already lived with thirteen different families. It wasn't until she turned fifteen that she found the one couple who actually wanted to see her succeed; they actually cared about her well being rather than the fat check they received every month for letting her stay there. Sia had always made good grades in school, but it was around that time that she actually began to apply herself and focus on maintaining a high GPA thanks to her foster parents. They'd even encouraged her to join a few clubs and partake in after school activities. By the time she graduated high school, Sia not only had a 3.8 cumulative GPA, but she'd also found a new passion for dance and had been accepted into multiple colleges on nearly full ride scholarships. Sia picked the school in California because she wanted to see that side of the country and, for the first time in her life, get away from a hometown that reminded her so much of her terrible past.

Sia's first two years of college went great; she managed to keep her grades up, made a bunch of new friends, and even joined a couple of organizations on campus. She was a second semester Sophomore when she pledged Sigma Gamma Rho, and a first semester Junior when she became the Vice President of Urban Couture. Although Nastasia keeps in contact with her last foster parents, she currently does not have any desire to go back for a visit. She plans to get a job or internship during the Summer so that she can afford an apartment and live in California for the rest of her schooling.
