I always imagined it as:

Lyranias - Far East
Terrene - Native America + Druidic UK + Wild West + Mesoamerican Tribes
Pitover - Cyberpunk
Island Nations - East meets West

But that's just me.

Because I think I was using a concept like that (pre-erase Mundus), but with particles in the air to create new compounds n stuff.
