Awesome.
Kazuya chuckled. "Amen to that," he empathized, giving subtle nod, "Certainly seems like a good use of class time - s'not as if we were doing any learning anyway. Hell, I was doing the same myself just now." He gave out a long exhale and let the silence sit in for a few moments, letting himself stew in his thoughts. "...why do you regret it?" he asked, actually turning to face Jeffery this time.
Kazuya glanced around the classroom, looking over the other members of his class. They all had such interesting faces. It almost made up for the fact that there were less than 10 people even present. You'd think a school where you learn how to fight demons and use weapons would be more popular. But then again it took a certain kind of person to even know about the cram school's existence in the first place. He yawned and leaned into his seat.

"Hey man, you alright there?" he asked, smiling laxly as he whispered to the student behind him, Jeffrey.
Night's cleared.

The elements in the game would be the same as the traditional range in media. Fire, water, air, earth, lightning, ice, etc. Non-elemental/pure magic is included.

EDIT:
Whoops, almost forgot to edit Moxy's character into the OP.
A scolding from the teacher was more or less what Kazuya had expected out of arriving late. Their demon-hunting demon teacher, Sen-sensei, was certainly a lot angrier than he had anticipated, but that was likely due to the fact he wasn't the only later person. Before he could pull out his kind-of-not-really bullshit excuse about kendo club, a hooded fellow, human by the looks of it, decided to pose a question regarding a fact that was probably controversial. Especially due to the make-up of their class.

A short 'heated debate' soon ensued, each side bringing up points, a part-demon attempting to stop all the ruckus and momentarily succeeding, before the human spoke up again, talking about his motivation of vengeance. The teacher then proceeded to talk about her own wish for revenge, and it seemed they all came to an understanding. Happy-ish endings for everyone!

"Alright. Suppose I'll get up then," Kazuya shrugged, stretching a bit before heading up to the front with his sword bag hanging from his shoulder. "Yo, Kazuya Mikazuki here," he gave a smile and a curt wave to the rest of the class, before continuing in that relaxed, polite-sounding tone of his, "Don't bother wasting your time on honorifics or formalities or anything like that, I really don't mind. I'm 100% human and gunning for the Knight-class of meister. Let's all work together and do our best!"

Strangely enough, though his tone, expression, and mannerisms gave off the air of 'pleasant and courteous young fellow', there was just something distinctly off about the look in his eyes... Not that any but the most perceptive would have time to dwell on it, as soon after he was done he headed back to his seat.
Alrighty, let's check out some CSs.

@Stephen: You're good.

@Night: Can you use the established skills? I've included potential replacements below. Other than that, you're good.

Gunsmith = Mechanics
Espionage = Sabotage/Sleight/Disguise all seem to work, potentially.
Quickdraw = No skill covers it (Marksman and Sleight come close, maybe), but a beefed up AGI might. Or a perk. Probably a perk.
Lockpicking = Security

Also, for future reference, dual wielding doesn't necessarily require a perk unless you're dual wielding something that requires more than one hand/particularly absurd (even then if it stretches the imagination too much I'll nix it). So feel free to swap that out if you want.

@Yuki: Tactician?

Other than that, there's only a few nitpicky details on my end. Really just the bit about a creature changing race, but then again there exist widely accessible ways to change appearance so I don't think the change aspect is too far-fetched, just the method in particular. Though I suppose I can let that slide if you really want it that way.

EDIT: Oh hey, someone else!

@Moxy: You've got 29/30 of your points. Other than that, welcome aboard.

Will edit OP later.
"Tch."

Makoto sighed loudly once his call request was denied. Fortunately his remaining friend requests were accepted by Bootsy and Okami, which meant he could probably find their location easily enough. There wasn't any mini-map anymore, which meant he couldn't just follow the relevant icon to reach their location, unfortunately. Rather inconvenient, but whatever. Beggars can't be choosers. He swiped into his GUI and, with a few button presses, managed to fire off a conference call.

Once he'd dealt with that, Makoto got up from his seat, wiped digital dust off his digital clothing, and picked began to make his way towards the nearest town. His class wasn't one meant for combat, unfortunately, and all his quirky character building wasn't really enough to tip the scales into a satisfactory risk vs reward ratio.
Kazuya was pretty damn sure he was late, but honestly he didn't really care. Between regular studies, kendo club, and being 'persuaded' into joining the exorcist cram school, he just didn't have enough free time. Didn't help that his club and cram school classes overlapped just a bit. Would probably give him a decent excuse when it came to arriving late, at least, and if his attendance record managed to piss that bastard off, then bonus points. Seriously, just because you give a guy a full-ride scholarship to a prestigious academy and force him to attend an extracurricular class doesn't mean you own him. Still, the stipend, free lodging, and decent education was enough of a reason for Kazuya to actually make an attempt at attending.the exorcist classes.

The brown-haired student slipped his key into a the most secluded nearby door, unlocking it and stepping into the hallway of the magically concealed - and rather ornate looking - cram school. He took a glance down to the slip of paper in his hands, pointing out the proper classroom to enter. He finally located the door with the matching designation and popped open the door. Seemed like he'd walked in during introductions. Good, that meant he hadn't missed much. It was a bit surreal though. A quick glance around the classroom revealed that out of the eight people present, 5 had distinctly inhuman qualities. That included their teacher. Though if that bastard was right, partially-demonic exorcists weren't exactly rare.

Kazuya took a seat in the outer middle of the classroom. He set his sword bag containing both of his blades on the desk in front of him and reclined into his seat.

Premise
lmagine a world where gaming has advanced to the point where you, the player, are no longer separated from the virtual world by a screen, but instead are right there, fully immersed within the world of the game, controlling your character as you would your own body.

In the year 2026, this ideal became reality with the creation of the Neuro-Sync headset. Using nothing more than the eponymous virtual-reality headset and a comfortable place to rest, the Neuro-Sync allowed users to jump right into a game and experience the world from their character's perspective. However, despite the advancement of the single-player experience, many gamers were disappointed with the lack of multiplayer capabilities.

Enter Digital Soul Online, an urban fantasy MMORPG created by the developers of the Neuro-Sync themselves.

Ever since it's announcement DSO's release was widely anticipated, with many excited gamers going as far as to line up outside of stores the day before release in order to secure a copy. Upon release, the game was surpassed all expectations. Many players found themselves engrossed in the world of DSO, drawing their swords, loading their guns, or slinging their spells and completing quests alongside friends, old and new.

However, upon logging out many players were met with an unfortunate surprise. Head-splitting migraines, loss of coordination, hallucinations... And those were the lucky ones. Others met their fate at the hands of full-body paralysis or sudden seizures. The players remaining in the game soon received a message detailing the grisly effects of what exactly happens when a player logs off.

Now stuck within this virtual world, the players of Digital Soul Online must learn how to survive while they wait for a way back home.

Plot
As the premise may have so subtly hinted, this is an RP revolving around the time-tested concept of gamers getting trapped in a virtual reality MMORPG. Your character, having purchased DSO for whatever reason, is now effectively trapped within the confines of the urban fantasy world of DSO at the risk of death by brain damage. Fortunately you aren't alone, for there are thousands of other (un)lucky individuals unable to leave with their minds intact, just like you!

In terms of an actual objective, this RP doesn't have a grand, over-arching GM-imposed plotline to follow other than "Live out life in the game until someone in the real world saves us". It was primarily intended to be a character-driven, open-world RP focusing on the adventures of the players stuck inside, where any plot would be put together by the interactions of characters.

Rules
1. Standard rules apply. Listen to the GMs and Co-GMs, no godmodding, no metagaming, no sexytimes outside PM, etc.
2. When you post, make sure you at least try to do something that other players can react to, and not just react without doing anything. Keeps it all going smoothly.
3. If you need help figuring out what to do/getting back into the RP, contact myself or one of your friendly neighborhood co-GMs. If you wish to leave, please do the same so we don't end up awkwardly twiddling our thumbs while waiting for someone who'll never post.
