"Ah, so we meet again!" a certain young man with dark, spiky hair in an orange tanktop called out to Kaiya, giving the middle schooler a wave with his left hand. He had a nice, wide grin and had his right hand stuffed securely in his pocket. Compared to their earlier, Nami Middle meeting, Nagato looked much more... disheveled? The assassin jogged up to Kaiya. "So what's up?" Nagato asked casually.
+1 for Character Development.

Also, I need to post for Lucas. Sometime. Feel free to bother him so I have something to respond to.
Alrighty, I'll think about claiming it. I got a few posts I need to write, so I'll think about it as I do that.

Anyway, tentative interest in Patty's Son. If it's possible to make him a Meister, then totally taking Patty's son. Full stop

EDIT: After typing up the aforementioned posts, falling asleep, and considering the situation; I have come to the decision of reserving Black Star's middle son and perhaps doubling up on Patty's Son if Mellon still insists upon giving him to me.
Ah, no, couldn't do that. You called the dibs.

Besides, I'm horrid with making Weapon concepts anyway, so unless the GM could magically switch one of Black*Star's Meister kids into a Weapon and Patty's into a Meister, I think it'd be advisable for all involved if I just handed it off to you >.> <.<

EDIT: Err. Damn, I was gonna go for that.
"Heh. Oh how the mighty have fallen," Levi taunted, a smug grin as he began getting off the ground and dusting himself off while the merc was distracted by David the Big Goddamn Hero's entrance into their little skirmish, bloodied weapon in hand. And as the merc was still distracted, Levi began unveiling a few of his toys from his bag now that his previous gambit had worked its magic. Admittedly it was pretty risky, but it all worked out in the end, right? And now there they were, 2 vs 3.

Levi was fucking juggling grenades in his hands. Tossing one grenade from left to right, and the other from right to left at the same time. It wasn't circus-level juggling, but the dexterity and motor control needed to do so in the first place! No wonder the kid was so great with lockpicks. "So dickweed," he started nonchalantly, further humiliating the interrogator, "You wanna know a secret?"

Levi mimed pulling the pins from his grenades and threw both of them at the man, all inactive. He sent another wave at the man before charging in, actually pulling the pin from the one he had in his hand. The other 'nades were to pin the man down psychologically while Levi could go in for the kill. "One: I'm not actually Weaver's son," Levi said, thrusting the pin at the interrogator's eye, "Two: Mines beep before they explode." If the pin got in the eye, all well and good. Then he'd stick the 'nade in the man's mouth as he screamed, or maybe down his shirt if he didn't, before dashing off to victory. If the guy managed to deflect Levi, he could still throw the grenade at least, and there'd be no dodging that, it was already cooked enough.
I guess I'm in the same batch as Jett, what with having watched anime since I was pretty young and ended up developing a varied interest. I'd probably blame that on my dad, who held - and maybe still holds - an interest in the mecha and shounen anime genres. Got me hooked on one of the Gundam series when I was in kindergarten, which eventually snowballed and got me into anime in general. Unfortunately I never did get back into Gundam since I'm too lazy to watch a bazillion episodes and whatnot. But never mind that business, time to answer some questions.

In terms of favorite anime, I should probably mention I have different categories of favorites. For example, I might have an anime whose world is one of my favorites but I hate the story/characters, and vice versa. Though taking into account performance in every parameter, the first few that come to mind are A Certain Scientific Railgun, Fate/Zero, Bakuman, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, and Yu Yu Hakusho in no particular order. Honorable mentions go to Code Geass, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Durarara, Dragon Ball Z, and Death Note - all of which I've watched so long ago I'm not sure whether or not they'd be in the list. Although I'm fairly confident that 2-4/5 would manage to get in. There's likely a few more I'm missing that I like, but since I can't remember them I guess they aren't really favorites

As for characters, a few stand out. Rider and Kariya Matou from Fate/Zero, Kamina from Gurren Lagann, Shizuo Heiwajima and Shinra Kishitani from Durarara, Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho, Armin Arlert from Attack on Titan, and Tsunayoshi Sawada from Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Honorable mentions are Accelerator from A Certain Scientific Railgun (for his performance in the light novels and the second season of the sister series), Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi from Bakuman (for their character dynamic), and Keima Katsuragi from The World God Only Knows.

I can't really say much about what I like about anime since Jorick's got a pretty good handle on basically everything I would probably say on the subject. Though what I will say is that I notice that anime tends to have better music - soundtracks, openings, endings, what have you - than most of the live-action or cartoon series I've watched. I will admit that's not a whole lot of series, however.

I don't think I could confidently recommend an anime to the world, what with everyone having their own personal tastes. But if I absolutely have to, I'd definitely suggest people take a gander at Fate/Zero. Unfortunately, there's a few glaring flaws I should point out. The first episode is basically an hour of infodumping, there's one or two filler episodes that seem to barely serve a purpose, and, due to it being a prequel, has to deal with (what I think is) a rather anticlimactic ending to set up Fate/stay night. But apart from those flaws, I'd call it a pretty balanced out anime. It's only 25 episodes, which you don't have to use a few days worth of time to watch it like Naruto or something; the writing of both story and characters is spectacular; and the fight scenes are impressive as hell, especially since the animation budget makes some parts look nearly cinematic in quality.
I'm not opposed to skipping.
"Power can mean a lot of things," Gareth snarled, firing a blast of flame to thrust him in a direction perpendicular to the cruise-force push.

...Not that that was all too bad. Really, it was a lot like getting hit by a car. Even considering that the Heretic had compounded that with the acceleration from his TK push, Gareth had a good margin of reaction before the point of no return. Though, it still felt like he'd gotten hit by an average car, and fractured some parts, at least he wasn't like the busted up wall behind him.

"So you've never lost huh?" Gareth continued, nonchalantly making small talk as began mentally analyzing the battle's events during this calm in the middle of the storm, "You defeat all your enemies in one shot, and you repel their attacks just as easily..." His eyes widened, as if he made a stunning realization mid-sentence. Which he did, obviously. "...But then, what use would someone like you have for tactics?" He continued, having made a new plan of engagement. He stuck his hand out and caused a very, very bright flash of fire. Not to damage, but to disorient.

"Sorry for cutting our fun short, but I can't die yet. I need to get some answers. There's no way they'd let a criminal just train up his abilities like that."

Once it settled down back to the dark of night Gareth was...
