Anyone wanna be rivals with Chiaki?

Well most of my characters might be too old to be rivals with a 14-year old...

Unless we're all aging down and the people who went through conscription and junk are 16 instead of 18 now.

But yeah, I think the closest I could probably get to a rival for Chiaki is Yuki or Ren. Unless I make a character specific for that purpose, that is.

EDIT:
>Looks at Chiaki's power set
>Can lower temperatures

...Well ice isn't the only thing you can do with that. >:3
Lucas Archwood

As Lucas stood there against the wall, waiting for something, anything to occur, he heard a sound. It seemed pretty... weak and quiet, but fortunately still audible. He could sort of make out a greeting of some type and a name that was probably 'Elen' or 'Elend', but he couldn't really figure out where it was coming from at first hear. The red head's eyes darted around before coming along the sight of a black haired kid with thick, red rimmed glasses holding his rather shaky hand out for a shake. The best word to describe the guy would probably be 'nerd', but he wouldn't say that out loud. Lucas wasn't that impolite, after all.

Lucas gave a reassuring smile to the guy and shook his hand firmly. "Nice to meet you too, man," he greeted in kind, "I'm Lucas." And with that said, he detached his hand from the other young man's lack of grip. It was nice to see someone taking initiative and introducing himself, even if Elend wasn't really confident about it. He wouldn't hold that against him.
"Tell me about it, I'm running out of high scores to beat," Kaz agreed upon hearing Jun's opinion of the whole situation, "Let's just hope boss gets his family feud over and done with so we can get this show on the road." Now, he wasn't usually this impatient, his battle style wouldn't really work if he made reckless moves. Well, technically it could work, but it wouldn't be half as effective as it would usually be. However, his usual ability to wait things out kind of takes a backseat when the goddamn dimensional walls are being distorted.
Lucas Archwood
The red headed young male in question walked through the corridors towards the entryway as dictated by that parody of a pamphlet he was left with. Hopefully he'd get some goddamn answers to what exactly was going on. Eventually Lucas would make it to a set of doors concealing the sounds of commerce. Figuring he had the right place, the Super High School Level ??? pushed open the doors and entered the entryway.

His first impression of the folks gathered was: 'Damn, that's a lot of girls.' It was quite natural though, given that the female:male ratio leaned heavily towards female dominance. Not that it really mattered, anyway. It was just an observation. Lucas raised a hand to wave to the people that noticed him enter, but other than that, he did nothing to announce his presence. Instead, he just migrated towards the wall in wait for whatever the guy who gathered them all here for to make his or her announcement.

Astolfo Garneau
A pink blur dashed into the entryway, practically leaving skid marks as Astolfo just barely stopped before the huge vault door closing the school off from the outside world met his face. He still had his little note from before firmly clenched in his hand, and by the sound of his breathing, he had been running for quite a while. The excited pink-haired Frenchman looked around the entrance hall at the rest of the folk gathered there. "Haha! Yes! Finally found this place," Astolfo exclaimed with a leap and a fist to the air. He would have gotten there sooner, but in his haste he had missed a few crucial turns and had gone through the same halls once or twice.

Once the young man had sufficiently calmed down, he turned to the rest of the group. "Oh hey everyone! Looks like I'm not the only one stuck here, don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but y'know, the more the merrier right?" he waved, crumpling up the pamphlet and sticking it in his hoodie pocket. "By the way, did'ja know that the staircase to the second floor is closed off?" he asked innocently.

Anna Brunhild
Rather than head immediately to the entryway, Anna decided to test out some of the doors and explore the floor a bit. She had seen some other students around, though they hadn't seen her, obviously. That meant that whatever the person who decided to kidnap(?) them all would probably wait until they were all gathered, which meant that she had ample time to do her thing. As expected, most of them were locked up and since she didn't have a kit or really anything to pick a lock with on her person, she was forced to abandon them for later. The second floor was curiously closed off, but that mattered not. It seemed all the classrooms were unlocked, and some of them had notices just like the one she was left with, and given the number of rooms, that meant there were somewhere around 15 other students in the school.

Of course, with her analysis all over and done with, Anna decided to head towards the entryway. It's not like there was really anything else to do anyway. Anna entered the entryway without any grand entrance or anything of the like. Really, the only good way to describe it was that she just... got in. The blonde thief crossed her arms and took inventory of the group before migrating to the shadow of a pillar.
I'm gonna be refraining from posting for the time being so it all doesn't devolve into a 1x1 between me and Hylink.
I'll toss up a post after dinner.

EDIT: There it is~
Well that was an interesting quandary, given Takezo's hereditary situation. He had often asked himself that question, but had never gotten to a satisfying answer, unfortunately. He lifted his short blade and pointed it at the girl in kind as he moved his other hand to the katana's hilt. Offer one hand and prepare the other, after all. "Human," he lied, sort of. He could probably take the girl in a fight, since he technically had the mobility advantage, but he'd prefer to avoid wasting his energy before he'd probably have to get into another fight.

"And yourself?"
Takezo continued to walk onward, listening to the sounds all around him; from the song of the birds to his very own footsteps. Really, it would actually be pretty soothing if this was just some casual walk in the woods he was doing. But nope, he was going to 'save' someone in a forest that was probably full of bloodthirsty youkai or something of that ilk. Hell, if he wanted to be realistic about it, the person he had intended to find was probably dead. Well, at the very least he could do his best to avenge his or her memory. And so the sound of his footsteps began to drown out his thoughts...

...Those weren't his footsteps.

The wanderer stopped in his tracks and drew his short sword, the wakizashi. The much longer katana wouldn't be as effective within the confines of the forest without being in a clearing, and from what he could hear of those footsteps, he wouldn't have time to find a clearing before the mystery assailant arrived.
