second it's a chance for the characters to grow stronger

Funny you should mention that. Wes can't get stronger. Well, he can, but it's useless in the long run. He loses in every situation outside of his opponent admitting defeat themselves, which, if anyone has at least a hint of his reputation, wouldn't happen. He knows this in-universe, so it's very important that he needs to find ways to set up situations where losing counts as a 'win', and of course, winning still counts as a win. Against him, it isn't a battle of strength, but rather, a battle of mentality. Just think about it. He has a skillset practically tailor made to screwing with anyone who fights with him... If only he'd realize that (though he's getting there). Incidentally, I actually didn't intend for that playstyle, but I realized how much more fun it would be to play a character that relies on guile rather than Shounen power ups to 'win'. Plus I didn't quite think through completely the implications of his 'curse' of losing all the time and having all of his soul-related abilities stem from him being beaten, pushed around, and spat on his entire life.

I say everyone is pretty even besides Wes and Red which i would find pretty funny if they save the day.

This. We need to fit this into the story. Somehow.

i just though of another "conflict" what if later after (or before) the conflict with the witches we can have a tournament?

Last place for Wes. It must be so.
Assuming you're speaking of myself and asking the question I think you're asking...

Matieu and Night have training from Death Scythes. Which I found from their CSs.

...Unless you're asking what 1337 means, in which case it's 'elite' but spelled with numbers... Or, rather, 1337-speak. Same difference.

Edit: [Redacted]
Edit2: Actually, think I covered all my bases already.
*shrug* Yeah, I just ignore that sorta stuff when I do things like this. It isn't as if I can take every possible possibility into account. I'm about constants, not variables.
I thought it more, 'those two have 1337 training, but daggers aren't too good in open combat and over reliance on stealth screws you if you're caught*'.

But in terms of singles, I'd say Night is most definitely the most capable Meister since his only hard counter (Wes with Soul Percept) loses 11/10

*Discounting any hidden weapons Night has, like a concealed SMG or something.

The strongest witch would be the one Gil and I have but that one could be second strongest. Makes it fitting for Wes and Red to have to fight the second strongest. Also on a side note which group would you pick as strongest?

Ah, yeah. That's what I meant. Strongest available. I presume straight up most powerful would be a group effort, or something.

As for your second, I can't really say due to not really knowing everyone's CSs, but to me I think it's Matieu and Kaito. Because lightning bolts are fuckoff powerful and they can fire off six. Plus, Weapon with Death Scythe training > Meister with Death Scythe training. Also, polearms dominated combat for centuries for a reason, and this one can shorten and lengthen. Rhia and Night are my close second.
You're welcome.

Also, I'd like to request the strongest Witch to be the one to battle against the 'weakest' team. Because I'm insane like that. And also because Wes is crazy durable and has his lolSoul Menace.
...Wait. We're using four Witches as our villains yes?

Does that mean each pair is going to have a Witch that's best suited to combat them or something? Since we have four pairs, it seems.
"Six hundred fifty four bottles of beer on the wall... Six hundred fifty four bottles of beer... Take one down, pass it around, six hundred fifty three bottles of beer on the wall..."

To be completely frank, sitting on his ass in a cell for half an hour, waiting for an execution was not enjoyable. Especially with the bag over his head. Wasting time by counting down from 2500 was boring as hell, but at least he could tell that the guards around him were getting particularly pissed off about it. Fortunately they couldn't really do anything to him, which brought the smuggest smile to Gareth's face...
***

"Ah finally! There you guys are! Must be time for dinner! I hear we're serving my head on a silver platter!"
***

Ah yes. The sound of a crowd roaring for blood. That meant Gareth was either on a game-show set, or his own execution. He'd put his money on the latter, as he felt the feeling of some wood, rather than the cushy audience seats at a game-show. Whatever announcer was there said a few words that Gareth tuned out, before tearing off the execution hood with a showy motion.

"Yup, definitely not a game-show."

He probably could fight back if he really wanted to. He could summon fire wherever, whenever, so it wasn't as if there was an issue in timing. Hell, the so-called 'restraints' on his powers weren't very restrain-y in the first place. But he'd much rather not end up causing mass panic by setting the entire place on fire. There was likely a solution to the whole situation that could end in his escape and a peaceful resolution, but to be completely honest he didn't have the time to pull off something like that.

BOOM

"Well. Nice to see you again," Gareth sighed as he shook his wrists. They were in the future, were chains really necessary?"Guess I do owe you. But how about we discuss details while we aren't standing in a place that probably qualifies as a war zone."

"Nice entrance, by the way. Very cinematic," the white-haired man glanced around the area and nodded, "I see you brought friends."
Immediately after the bell rang, Wes packed his items, stood up from his seat, and exited the classroom. His exit didn't seem rushed at all, just a rather average speed. Which made sense, as he wasn't in a very urgent situation. Though, it seemed he had a rather similar idea to Nightwalker's, as Wes himself stood beside his peer, looking over the jobs board. His expression wasn't as grim as before, surprisingly enough. Rather, it was back to normal. Strange.

"So, you lookin' for something to do too?"
Wes just gave a defeated sigh upon getting patted reassuringly by his partner.Though it didn't really do much, a loser like him appreciated the effort. Instead of face-desking as he was previously, he sat upright, expression flat and disinterested looking. Much like one would have if they were tired and had just finished getting an earful from their mother. Something along those lines. He pushed his beat-up notebooks in front of him and turned to a page that wasn't torn, crumpled, or in a condition that would make the words otherwise unintelligible. He took out a pencil, broke the tip off as usual, and began jotting down notes he'd probably end up losing sometime later that week. Such was the life of a born loser like himself. Nothing at all like his mother's prodigious abilities nor his father's air of coolness.

Hopefully the day would be done and over with soon enough.
