I don't know about Sylvan, I'll look it up and let you know. I know that Druids are special in that they can learn Sylvan in addition to their starting languages upon character creation. It's the language of the forest creatures and fey.

Edit: Yes you can, as long as your human character has a high enough intellect (but Mana didn't require stats with CSs, so you should be fine). Also, Sylvan pairs well with Elven as both languages are written with the Elven alphabet. Fun facts.

Secondary Edit: Also, I was looking up if there was any way for a non-Druid to speak the language. It looks like (according to the people of the internet, who could simply not know what they are talking about) non-Druids can be taught the language from a Druid or a Blighter (a messed up version of a druid that already lost Druidic powers), but that would involve the Druid losing all of its powers and being exiled, even if the Druid was tricked into it. So... even if you did include that in your character's history, my character would not talk back to you in Druidic for fear of losing his powers, and he would also be suspicious as to how you managed to acquire the language.
Kieran shifted back into his Elven form to rifle through the monsters, satchel. He had no desire for material wealth, he would leave that to the others who were more eager for riches. He found a couple of black mushrooms with purple and black spots and smiled knowingly. With a chuckle he pocketed them into his own leather bag. He would walk on foot for the next leg of the journey, hoping to chat with the fierce barbarian woman and maybe some of the others that showed promise in slaying the beast. As an elf, he was quite tall and lithe, his toned muscles would allow him to keep ahead of the pack still.

Cana trotted over to Kieran, her muzzle bloody with pride. "You did good, girl" he said to her in Druidic and patted her on the head. She nuzzled into his hand lovingly and grumbled in that cute way that most canines can muster up.
Hate to be the person that poops on things, but only Druids can speak Druidic. Druids are forbidden to teach their secret language to others. "A druid who ceases to revere nature, changes to a prohibited alignment, or teaches the Druidic language to a nondruid loses all spells and druid abilities. (Including animal their companion)". I only know this because a DM looked it up to show me why another party member couldn't speak to my character in Druidic when other people were around that we didn't want to know our conversation. You can still have your character know Elven though, I don't think there are any restrictions on that, so our characters can still talk. :]
I was kinda waiting for someone else to post because I just did before heat. I dunno though... It might die despite our best efforts to not let it. Or maybe when baconater comes back we can revive it.
Kieran charged up a finishing spell, casting poison on his canines. With a sprint and an impressive jump, he lunged into the right side of the beast. His lupine fangs tore into the monster's flesh, dealing bite damage, spell damage and causing a lasting poison effect that would finish it off along with the continued attacks from the others in the group. Knowing their success in battle was nearly reached, he and Cana howled in unison. The sound filled the forest air with an eerie tone, causing some of the city folk to shift uncomfortably.
LOL! Thankfully I've had my new copy of the Sims 4 to distract me from getting too impatient. XD
Hey now, no drama in the OOC! This is a FREE roleplay, no crazy rules apply, and what the GM approves of is the word of God, so to speak. XD I'm cool with him if Mana is... more people to interact with... plus people naturally drop out of RPs with time anyway.
