Please don't let this die. :[
Adelaide smiled lightly... this strange woman thought her reliable, even though she was poised to kill her just moments ago. Her charm did that to people, it made her seem likeable dispite a cold and harsh personality.

In a birdlike gesture, Adelaide cocked her head to the side as she looked up at the pale woman. It wasn't everyday that Adelaide met someone that she had to look up to, let alone it be a woman. The glowing gold spirals in her eyes seemed almost hypnotic and Adelaide stepped closer, a little too close for most people to find comfortable, but Adelaide's allure let her get away with a lot of things. Her fingers still gripped her bow, ready to react, as she called down a rain to quell the flames surrounding them.

"You find me reliable... and in the ways of war and pillow play, I am. But you knew nothing of that... you hardly know of who and what stands before you. I will be your guide if you give me answers. What are you? You seem more than human" The question was personal, brash and completely rude, but that was Adelaide for you. Plus... this journey would be long, and payment in some form was required.
Double post
Adelaide didn't completely trust this woman, but her strange eye color piqued her interest... maybe she was monster-born as well. Curiosity overcame mistrust and Adelaide once again pulled her bow taught. She sought not to harm a natural beast with out just cause, but knew that the wolves would fear fire. With a quick word, the arrow's tip was aflame once more. Adelaide let the arrow fly and it struck the dry grass just to the right of the wolves ablaze. The sudden conflagration was enough to scatter the wolves away from the woman, thinking a forest fire was soon to run amuck. Being able to use the water element as well was comfort enough for Adelaide to know that no real damage was to be done. She jumped down from the tree and shook out her feathered ebony hair before speaking "It is done... your name?" She asked as the flames crackled around them.
~~~Meanwhile, in a wild forest of England...~~~
Adelaide crouched low into the brush, focusing her hearing on the rustling she heard nearby. She stared down the tip of her arrow, her nose pressed against the shaft as she focused. The shining red color of her bow cast eerie scarlet highlights in her ebony hair. The rustling intensified and Adelaide’s muscles went taught as she drew back the string of her bow, ready to take fire.
The sound of a heavy object falling to the ground could be heard from somewhere behind the huntress. This sound was quickly followed by rustling. There were a number of creatures of some variety behind her, and whatever they were, they were active.
Adel startled slightly and turned to face the louder sound. Adelaide felt her cover apt to be blown on the ground and decided to take a better vantage point instead. She grabbed the branch of a nearby tree that seemed sturdy enough to hold her weight and had enough foliage to offer another form of cover. With a quick swing, Adelaide was hidden up in the tree and drew back her bow once more. This time, she chanted quietly and the tip of her arrow was engulfed in flame, charged with one of her spells.
From her perch in the trees, Adel was able to see what looked to be a pale woman clad in white. Her hair seemed to shimmer as silver, and her eyes were closed. Four wolves surrounded her, the closest of which seemed ready to strike her at any moment.
Adelaide released the tension from her bow string and lowered her arm, the flame going out as she broke her concentration on it. She cocked her head to the side and watched the pale woman and her lupine companions with curiosity. Perhaps this friend of beast and animals could be a friend of hers… but she could also be an enemy.
“Who are you?” Adel called from her perch in the trees. She realized she’d just given away her location, but she was prepared to fight if she needed to.
You people are killing me, ya'll were waiting on Myst and now that she has posted all I have been hearing are crickets in the distance :p
Interesting... I figured in small religious towns they would be... but I don't know much about the world besides what you have written, so I made assumptions there.
Name: Adelaide
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Appearance: A fierce and beautiful woman, with a statuesque build and flawless pale skin. Adelaide has thick obsidian colored hair that falls to just below her bust, with flecks of raven-like feathers in between the strands. Despite her fangs and devilish red eyes, she is a striking beauty that leaves most people awestruck. Tall and lithe, Adel stands at 72 inches and weighs about 10 stone. She wields a longsword, and a shining red bow is strapped across her black leather-clad back.
Personality: Adelaide is fiery and independent, bordering on feral in personality. In battle, she prefers to engage in combat from a distance and fire arrows infused with elemental magicks. When she is up close to her opponents, she uses her charm to distract and disorganize them before making them meet the tip of her longsword. While Adel may have a pretty face, she is cold, judgmental, and hard to get along with at first. She places nature high above the life of any humanoid creature and will gladly slay any foe to protect the wild lands.
History: Adelaide remembers little of her childhood, as she has blocked most of it out. Her parents were older when they birthed her, and they soon after fell ill to a plague that racked their village. At five years old, Adelaide was left to be cared for by the hearth and homes of other families in the village, but they wanted her not…
Most of the upstanding English folk didn’t want to be associated with the ‘demon child’. They abused her and called her cruel names, associating her with the work of the “Devil” because of her distorted features. It wasn’t long before Adel sought to flee the abuse, taking refuge in the wild lands.
It was in her childhood that Adelaide learned her hatred of men and women, and in the forests that she learned the kindness and strength of nature. Adelaide met people like her; other ‘demon children', even adult monsterborn that taught her how to use elemental spells. Adelaide learned to hunt for her own food using a bow and arrow, a skill that she was unknowingly naturally adept at. She practiced swordplay with the other children and finally began to enjoy her childhood. Once Adelaide reached her teenage years, her forest family urged her to make herself known in the human world again, as they had themselves, and to show them her power instead of her fear.
Adelaide integrated herself into society in ways that most people wouldn’t consider upstanding or ladylike. With her beguiling charm and beauty, she lent her body to prostitution and carnal pleasures. With her physical strength and magic, she sold her body as a warrior and sword(bow) for hire – often killing without question.
That is Adelaide’s history, the rest has yet to be written…
