We are actively recruiting new members for an existing RP because we have lost our GM and quite a few members since its initial start-up. A few of us wish to keep our characters and their story lines, though you won't have to read back on anything to understand what is going on... if you want to, though, feel free! Anyway, here's the gist:

Every person (whether they have pointed ears, wings, odd reactions to the moon, crave blood, etc.) is born with a name and a date on their wrist. That name might be in a different language; but regardless of what language it's in, the name inked on your wrist is the name of your soulmate. What's the date there for you ask? It's the day you'll meet said soul mate. It's unavoidable because, even if you lock yourself in your apartment or house, they might be your mailman, crash land on your roof, need to borrow some sugar, or even just be a new neighbor stopping by to say hi.
The age that one meets their soulmate varies greatly, because you could meet them when you're in college, or it might not be until you're in your 30's ( or 300's, depending on your species ). When your soulmate is close by their name will glow and cause your wrist to burn a little bit, so if you are in a crowd of people, you might not realize who it is. They might notice though if you keep glaring at your wrist as if it's wronged you in some way. So have faith that you'll meet that special someone on the date inked on your wrist.
With the happy bits behind us, let's get on with the depressing bits. All marks start out Blue, but those marks will change color depending on certain events. If you see someone with a black mark or blue mark that looks like this, it means that person's soul mate died. If it's blue, it means that they died before they met, and if it's black, it means it happened after they met. In either case, if they die, that name will fade and a new one will appear, but only to someone whose soul mate has also died. There will never be a person with two names on their wrist.

Since this is casual, I expect at least 1-2 (preferably 2) 5-6 sentence paragraph's. One liners will not be accepted at all, so keep this in mind before you express interest.
Your character can be any species you want; with a few exceptions. They cannot be a furry, anthro, or anything else that stands on two legs but doesn't quite resemble a human. In short, only characters that look (or are) human will be accepted. If you have any questions once I get the thread started (or before, if you have any concerns before joining) PM me and I'd be happy to answer.
There will be romance in this roleplay (obviously), but since it'll be in a thread, please keep it PG-13.

The angel was pushed back by the force of the bullets being shot at almost point-blank range. The angel rolled its neck and continued to trudge forward, regardless. "Shit." said Nightmares, the curse sounding peculiar and a bit disturbing coming from a little girl-like voice. Although Nightmares had taken over, Maya still cowered in fear internally as she watched through her own eyes as the angel came towards them. The angel flexed its claw-like fingers before ferociously swiping at Mayas face. It stung as the blood welled up in the fresh cuts.

No problem, as long as you're still around. :)
Also, I wouldn't say Jareth has any kind of 'look' on his face that Grant would be able to detect. Nothing actually happened yet. Try not to metagame, so when the betrayal is actually discovered, your character will be geuininely shocked.

She might not (maybe), but I sure as hell am loving every second of it. XD
