It doesn't necessarily need to be changed... as writers of the story, it is nice to have a few devil's advocates among us, it's desired, actually - especially with the Bane family being in such disarray without a leader. I was just pointing it out for the sake of technicalities. Perhaps Theta, being the only 'official' family head in the room, could give the movement some formal backing and call for such a meeting of the family heads and the Banes, because it's dangerous for everyone if a family falls into anarchy.

Edit: That, and the families really need to discuss the hunter problem more peacefully, I was actually going to have Therese send out emails for such a meeting in the next post I could play her in.
~~~ Kiara ~~~
And cute he was, dressed in a suit with long, straight black and red hair. Faeries and dragons lived very close together in her realm, especially when it came to forming alliances in the war between the courts, so Kiara could tell right away what he was, even if his form was hidden away by his own form of glamour.
After finishing whatever conversation he was in, he turned to her and smiled. ”Are you going to just sit there, or are you going to say hello?” he asked her, rather bluntly. Her pride almost caused her to pull the ‘do you know who you are talking to like that’ card, but she supposed her station in the Unseelie Court mattered little in this realm, plus, this was supposed to be a fresh start of sorts. So, instead, she wore a crooked smile and replied “I was just waiting for you to finish your conversation, handsome. I’m Kiara, or Kiki, if that pleases you.”
The faerie extended a smooth, scrawny hand to formally greet him. The motion caused his scent to waft over to her. He was a dragon, so she expected him to smell and bit like cinder and smoke, but something about him was off, he smelled… toxic? It was definitely unnatural, whatever it was, and it caused her petite nose to wrinkle up, if only slightly.
I'd say that a formal and binding warning would have to be put in writing and signed by the heads of all families for it to be truly that, not just declared by a single member of one of them, especially one who is already breaking a previous agreement by physically showing up instead of reaching out through non-threatening means (i.e.: a phone call or letter to call for a meeting)
So...
Jeanette sipped the drink Jon had made for her. It was sweet and satisfying, and tasted like cherries dipped in blood. “Mmm, not bad, Kitten.” She managed a teasing compliment. Just when she was starting to enjoy herself, in walked the Banes. Being a relatively not-racist vampire, Jeanette just sat idly by for a while as they stated their reasons for being there. She was, of course, a little on edge, given that a killer or two were on the loose with a taste family heads’ blood, and Jeanette was now the sister of such a potential victim.
Threats were exchanged, which bothered Jeanette more than a little. Jonny had asked them nicely to leave, and they were acting like they had every right to stay. Jeanette set her drink down on the bar with a soft clink and turned around on the bar stool. The way that she walked towards them commanded a certain level of authority, despite her pigtails and ridiculous schoolgirl getup.
Jeanette wasn’t aware that she was, in fact, a personality of Therese, developed as a way to cope with sexual abuse as a child, and accentuated by her cursed Malkavian blood. Some of the more clever vampires, like Jonathan, and those closer to Jeanette or Therese, seemed to have some idea that something strange was up… but no one really talked about it, and the other families didn’t have a clue. Truth is, the girls got what needed to be done, done, and so having a bat-shit crazy head of the family wasn’t really a problem for the Capers.
Although dressed like Jeanette, a blending of Therese and Jeanette’s personality (Tourette) was showing up a bit in her words and actions. Jeanette crossed her arms, now that she was directly in front of Ember. Her eyes flicked from Ember, to Einar, and then back to Ember, as she was the one doing most of the talking.
“Dearest Jonny asked you, very kindly, to leave - Much more kindly that I would have, truth be told. And yet, you stay. I must say, who do you think you are? This is his bar, and this is our territory. You are directly breaking our agreement by stepping foot on these grounds… but why? Yes, yes, you say you’re here to figure out who killed your family, blah, blah blah…” Jeanette rolled her eyes waved her hand back and forth as she spoke the last words, indicating dramatic boredom. “You weren’t the only ones who recently lost people, you know. And you idiots think it was us? Hah! And folks say that I’m crazy. Do you honestly think that all of the murders aren’t connected?! All the heads were killed on the same day! This is clearly a hunter problem...” Jeanette got thoughtful a moment, and tapped her lips with a finger while humming and circling the wolves.
“But this... this is an act of war.” She then used her finger two point and gesture at the two Banes. “If you had business to discuss, you should have contacted Therese, preferably in writing, before even thinking to come waltzing into our territory. And my, my… when my sister gets wind of this… Well, let’s just says she isn’t that fond of your kind to begin with, and this little power play just might be enough to order your pelts to be hung and dried out above our fireplace. A pity, are you really looking to decrease the Bane family numbers even further?” she asked with her hands on her hips.
Writing a post now. Get ready for the BIG REAVEAL...
DUN! DUN! DUNNNNNN!
... although some of you probably already figured it out, clever cookies that you are...
or maybe I'm just not good at this kind of thing.
Ooh, this is gonna make Jeanette giggle. And Therese would be pissed.
So, I don't know if any of you guys recognized the characters that I am roleplaying but I did borrow a funny quote directly from the video game they're from that I wanted to cite. If you're curious, this is the source video where you first meet Jeanette in the game.
I fell in love with her crazy ass right from the start! The game and character might be obscure, but when I first played, I was like, ohmygod, I have to roleplay these girls! I'm having so much fun so far! This is my first-time not playing an OC in a roleplay, as I never thought I would like fandom stuff before, but yeah...
Anyway, if you haven't played Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and you are a fan of vampires and/or roleplaying games, you really should give it a go! It is from 2004, but the gameplay and graphics were really ahead of their times, and I haven't ever experienced anything else like it.
“None taken.” Jon replied blandly to Jeanette. Meanwhile, Theta looked Jeanette up and down before responding “Oh? How do you know I’m the sweetest? You want to taste to find out for certain? I may be a bit sour, depending on what you’re looking for…” Jeanette gave a sultry smile and shifted her weight from one hip to another as she stood.
“Oh, I think I found exactly what I’m looking for – a good time! You must be Theta, and I… am… Jeanette! And I can tell that you and I are going to get along just like fire hoses. When we both get turned on, there’s bound to be flames.” She punctuated the saucy pun with a giggle and then looked back to Jonathan, who offered her a ‘drink or something’. Jeanette tapped her lips with a finger and cocked her head to the side.
“Well, I would, if only this place were a little more exciting – ” Just as she was about to finish her sentence, in stormed the infamous Anya Caper. She made quite the scene, as usual, and then addressed Jeanette. “Your fashion sense is as impeccable as always, Jeanette!” Jeanette crossed her arms and eyed her suspiciously, not trusting this not to be sarcasm. “No, really! Where’d you get your skirt, and do you think they have one in my size?” Anya seemed sincere enough. “You’re size? I don’t think so, but it is rather ‘school girl’, so maybe you could find something similar.” Jeanette replied with a crooked smile. She really didn’t know what to think of the child vampire, as she was one of the only creatures in the room that Jeanette wouldn’t flirt with… that would just be too weird, supernaturally well above age or not. “Take me shopping with you next time, okay? I need a new top after today… kinda” Anya continued.
For once, Jeanette got a bit serious. “About that, I know you’re a tough kid, but, you should be more careful.” Jeanette lowered her voice. “With potential hunters around, you might not want to be so flashy about what you are.” And the serious warning ended there. Yuck, she was starting to sound like her boring sister. From now on, shepherd Therese could manage her flock while Jeanette danced in the forests with the wolves, that sounded much more fitting.
Arya made a racist comment that got under Jonny’s skin a bit, but seemed not to bother Theta much. It wasn’t strange to hear talk like that these days, with the family rivalries and all. That, and some of the more fanatical or ‘religious’ vampires believed that the modern increase in dhampir numbers was a sign of the end of times, when the most ancient vampires would rise from their slumber to devour their children. You know, vampire doomsday and all that jazz. Jeanette didn’t really believe in any of that hocus pocus. Therese, on the other hand…
“On second thought, Jonny, I think I will take that drink! Surprise me with something that has a little extra kick, if you catch my drift.” Jeanette requested with a quick wink. With the crowd that was gathering, maybe this wouldn’t turn out to be a boring night after all.
Doug was cashing out a patron at the register behind the bar when Alec walked in. He turned around to see her taking a seat: a brunette in sun glasses, she looked pretty. Doug himself was a rough looking guy, the kind you don't fuck with. He was tall, chunky, bald, and covered in tribal tattoos. “So my dad’s a Caper, you know? Izzat worth something ‘round here?” Alec asked, her words slurring with her buzz.
Doug chuckled in his throat. “Yeah, it’s worth somethin’, but that ain’t a discount. Sorry, sweetie, but the lady who signs my checks is a real stickler about the business. If yer truly a Caper, that most likely means ya got the dough to buy anything on the menu, so what can I get for ya?” he replied.
