When the guys got to the restaurant, Jar waited until Hunter wasn’t paying much attention - which didn’t take long - and told the waitress to make his drinks weak or virgin, because he’d probably already had enough. The girl was gave him a charming smile and nodded before rattling off the specials. Jar ordered a light beer to go with his dinner, which was a simple pad thai with tofu. His friends knew he was vegetarian and tended to tease him for it, so he tried to be discreet with his order.

Hunter rambled about this being being almost as fun as the demolition derby. “Dude, this is going to be way better than some derby, you’ll see. I’m so stoked to try the surf simulator, or maybe actually surf when we get to an island. That’d be dope.” Jareth shifted in his chair and smiled as his eyes scanned the crowd. There were a lot of hot people here, many of the girls had bikinis peeking out of skimpy cover-ups as they ate and walked around.

“First, I think we should head back to our suite and get suited up for the pool, though. I wanna see the best this boat has to offer.” Jar said as he wiggled his eyebrows up and down at Fen and Hunter suggestively before chowing down on his dinner.

Another question, since this is starting with the Ball, does that mean the students have had a few days of classes? Will they recognize the teachers if they are first years?

Bartholomew asked something provocative and went back to kissing the bare skin around her neckline, which admittedly felt quite good, too good, even. Tholo caught his breath as he stared in to her eyes. She found herself once again captivated by their liquid gold color, so much more appealing than their usual dark brown. Who knew the wolf would have such pretty eyes?

The wolf.

Her soulmate.

Oh god… No she did not. She did not just sleep with her soulmate. What was she thinking? This wasn’t just some guy at a club who happened to catch her fancy that night. He wasn’t her next meal ticket. This was the man whose name was etched into her wrist, the man who she swore to stay away from the very moment her new tattoo had appeared.

What was supposed to be a romantic moment, with two spent lovers staring into each other's souls, was ruined. That familiar look in Trixy’s eyes appeared, the one she wore right before disappearing earlier that morning. But she couldn’t do that to him again; if she didn’t want her heart broken, then she shouldn’t break his. She looked down, breaking his gaze in search of her clothing, or what was left of it, that is. She wouldn’t run, but she would leave gracefully, right now.

Thankfully, the buzzing of her cell phone in jeans pocket gave her the perfect escape. “I-- I should get that. It’s probably my boss--” she glanced around the room for a clock and found one. “--and I’m a bit late for work now.” she said, completely honest. Of course, Carl would blame her tardiness on the fact that she spent the wee hours of the morning baggin the city’s most recent threat. Gracefully, Trixy untangled herself from him and went about getting dressed. She would definitely have to make a trip home before showing up at work, this outfit was less than appropriate. The text was from Carl, asking when she'd be in for a debriefing. Béatrix turned to face Tholo, managing to wear a smile despite her rattling nerves and self-hatred. “I will see you around, I guess…” she said, but her eyes lingered.
Type of Request: Sig

Text: "We all carry these things inside that no one else can see. They hold us down like anchors. They drown us out at sea."
Other: Perhaps use a grungy filter or black and white filter or misting effect, you know, make it feel like it represents a rather depressing BMTH song. XD If you feel like incorporating an anchor or some other aesthetic piece, have fun, I leave it all up to you. :]

Nah, let's keep it, I will always choose to keep past experiences for character development's sake. And what's with this? You get me all hyped for a post only to keep me waiting 12+ hours :p
The Inquisition? Raven had to admit, she had not expected that.

Are all of the interactions our characters previously had still canon? Namely, Suley holding Kiara up in the air by her throat? XD

But she's not even at the ball yet! :3
If there isn't a word/post from Artifact tonight, I will post later tonight or tomorrow morning, just having Fenris trail along with Hunter and Jareth.
