Don't forget, they made another new hero named Screentime. A meme loving superhero who got his powers from exposure to internet gas. He has the ability to basically be a smart phone.

Scoot and Liam were just taking a sip of the coffee the waitress had put down before them, when the bat feral from earlier stood up and began threatening them with violence. Not only that, but she showed the sure signs of having a parasite. In unison, Scott and Liam let out a disappointed sigh before taking another sip of their drinks. Scott was the first to speak.

"Miss, you do realize that parasites are illegal don't you?" He pulled out a small notepad from another pouch on his uniform and began asking questions while quickly reading several pages in the notepad. "I'm just going to assume right off the bat that this parasite has not been approved by the Renoir family." Scott looked up from the notepad just to see if she had any reaction to his absolute disregard for her earlier threats. "I'm going to have to ask you a few questions ma'am. First off, I'm going to need your name. Then I need to know what type of parasite it is that you are currently hosting: natural or synthetic. And finally, I'm going to have to ask your friends if they knew of your parasite before now and if they have ones of their own." Scott closed the notepad and returned it to it's pouch. "If we can settle this without violence, I'd much appreciate it. Your actions so far will definitely get you a few years in juvie and I'd hate for them to have to send a young girl like you to prison because of your actions here today."
As Scott and Liam waited for the waitress to return to take their orders, Scott noticed through his peripheral vision that one of the other diners was staring at the two of them. He started searching through the several pouches on his uniform and pulled out three t-shirts, each with the Black Egret logo on them, and leaned over to the girls. "Here ya go, miss," he said as he placed the shirts on the corner of their table. Usually, just giving citizens a souvenir would get admirers to stop gawking at him. He didn't give enough attention to the girl to notice that her look was not of admiration, but of hate. Liam hadn't even noticed the other diners though as he was paying too much attention to the menu, something Scott always found strange since Liam always ordered the same thing every time.

"Alright, Scott. Seriously, what's the plan?" Liam said without even looking up from the menu.

"Plan? We don't need a plan. We're us. We just wait for more information. Keep our ears to the ground and all that. I'm sure we'll find a lead or something soon," Scott responded.

Liam sighed with disappointment. "You know what's going to happen if you don't come up with a plan. You'll start second-guessing yourself at the most inopportune time and our chance will pass us by."

"Well do you have anything in mind? All we have to go on is confirmation of its existence."

Liam gave Scott a questioning look that said everything Liam was thinking: "Confirmation? Really?"

"Fine, not exact confirmation, but my point still stands. You can't think of anything better."

Liam sighed in defeat before rising out of his seat a bit to look for the waitress. Scott did the same. Still, neither seemed to notice the enraged teenager only a table away from them.
Scott and Liam walked out of one the many buildings that made up the Black Egret HQ, Scott still trying to convince Liam of the "great idea" that he had come up with.

"I'm telling you, think of the benefits if we do this," Scott said.

"You're still going on about that? I told you I'm not getting involved. How did you even get this information, anyway?" Liam replied.

"You know that one chick in Strategic Intelligence? With the red hair and glasses."

"Her? Dude, she's infamous for telling wild stories just to gain attention. How do you know she's telling the truth?"

"'Cause I promised her that we'd go on a date. No way a girl like that would give false information with that kind of a deal. Now I just got to think up an excuse of why I can't go."

"Dude, you're not standing her up. I know you. You're going to go anyway, even if you have a horrible time. You'd never be cold enough to stand a girl up. But we're getting off topic here. Finding the Skull Heart? That's way out of our league."

"Shh, man. We don't want anyone else getting in on this. Anyway, we've dealt with stuff way out of our league before."

The two entered a taxi and had the driver take them Liam's favorite diner, located all the way out in Little Innsmouth.

"Gaining the courage to ask a perfect ten out, is a lot different then taking on a monster, Scott. And for nothing but a promotion?"

"Fine, if you won't do it for the promotion, then do it for the kingdom. How many lives do you think will be lost if we don't find it, Liam? Heck man, if not for the kingdom, then do it for your family."

The two Black Egret troops sat in silence for the rest of the trip. When the car finally stopped at the diner, Liam opened the door, stepped out, stopped, and turned to Scott.

"Alright, I'll do it. What's the first step?" Liam said.

"First things first, Liam," Scott said as he exited the cab as well. "Food!" he shouted, pointing at the entrance of the diner. The two soldiers entered the diner, taking a seat at a table not too far from where three young girls; a human, a feral, and a gigan; were sitting. For the most part, Liam and Scott were still in uniform, minus their helmets which were strapped to their belts, so anyone could take one look at them and know who they worked for.
My internet crashed, not once but twice; I fell asleep, twice; and my computer crashed once. The good news: my character's bio is no longer three sentences, now it's three paragraphs (it would have been much longer, but with every new setback my drive to write an entire short story on his background became less and less). I shall post in the IC some time today (since it's now 1:30 in the morning).
I know I said I'd try to post today, but right when I was almost done with the updated bio my internet cut out on me and I lost everything I typed. I'll try to retype the bio again, but I think I'm too tired to do an IC post.
I'll post something later today. Been coming up with ideas to expand on my character's bio, for obvious reasons, which is why I haven't posted yet. Currently on my way home, so I'll update the bio and post as soon as I can.
So what are we waiting for in Practice? Nothing seems to be really happening.
The song! I like Don McLean's music. :D

Yeah! Love that song.
-pokes the thread-

Who here knows American Pie? :D
