Alurat the Rune Maker
Fort Goldface
A travel stained cloak clung to the stranger's shoulders as he departed the city of Tremshire. Fort Goldface rose in the distance, a short walk away from the city limits. A thin cloud of dust rose behind Alurat, kicked up by his horses hooves, which marked his passage on the road. This seemed likely to be a simple venture, but worth investigating none the less. If the creature was magical in nature he might learn something that would further his research, and magical or not he stood to make a profitable reward for hunting it down. He expected there to be a small party of mercenaries. He didn't like working with others, there was always a risk of conflicting motives and goals, but it would likely not prove detrimental to his own aims. As he mused, he closed the distance with the fort and the doors opened before him.
Alurat reined in his horse in the fort's courtyard, before a noble and his retinue. A man leaning against the wall looked distinctly out of place, and he had no doubt that they would be one of his companions on this job.
"I'm here to slay a monster," he stated without preamble, pulling back his hood and revealing a stern face marked with runic tattoos and framed with red locks which hid his pointed ears.

After being transported you will be reunited in one year.That sounds good.
Hey you guys can just hopefully snipe me down with magic :3 I am* tuning down my armor and magical defenses to make her more vulnerable to attacks so yeah ^,^ check when its edited and thanks for the criticism. If you spot anything else tell me and I will hopefully change it. (Or lift some boulders and throw it at her lol, they arent magical and you can still use magic to help you lift it and throw it. Maybe burn her to death by scorching the land and let her be consumed in flames, if she is trapped of course... by boulders. Just ideas on how to take down a melee fighter who isn't dual classing much)No problem, it's not as if we're trying to kill each other...yet. @Bravest Since anime seems to have won out as far as appearances go, I've changed mine, added another combat rune and taken away my characters special gauntlets to balance it.
Wow @Pie Flavor, that equipment seems pretty powerful.
Flying was entirely hypothetical, but the character I'm working with right now has a strong desire for cool magic stuff. Alright then, about how long will our characters be out and about before meeting up again?
A rod that granted them magical abilities, but if this wasn't the intended use of your object system I might be interested in making another character.
(I would be interested in seeing those map links) The skills are standard use and master. If you get a sword you become a master at sword combat while wielding it. It says the object will be anything they want, but our characters are students and they probably won't walk in wanting a sword of champions. So what I'm essentially asking is will the object they receive be oriented to their strongest personal desires? Say my character wants to fly, will they gain an item which grants them that power?

With two interested parties I will get started on the full write up of the story. I am also hoping to draw up a map of sorts, but my ability to do so is..... very severely lacking. Still this hasn't stopped me before. Also if you want to get a basic idea of your character feel free to get started on your character sheet. Below is a basic idea of things I will ask.There are plenty of free, blank fantasy maps you can edit onto. If you want, I have one or two links. Question: What sort of heroic skills and abilities are we talking about?
