Quick everyone, PM Mahz with your wishlist for Guild updates and new features. The more the better. In fact, send him a PM about it every day. Make that every hour. Chop chop!

To all the homies in Florida -- stay safe out there. Now is not the time to wrangle an alligator and surf it down the flooded streets. I know, it's hard to resist the urge.

Look next to your profile, there is a magical button called "PM". Click it, and it will take you to a magical realm that Mahz created for you to privately speak with others. Every time you ignore this glorious realm, you disrespect the great Mahz.

The key to proper sass is not overdoing it. This is what overdoing it looks like. See my own post for a more modest, appropriate example.
Stalking down the winding mountain path was a lone Dunmer, the icy wind of Skyrim sending his black robes whipping in the wind as he gathered them around himself with his arms in an attempt to keep warm. Narzul quietly cursed the low temperature of this land. Back in Morrowind, he would have been content with his chitin armor in any conditions, but out here it did not suffice. One of the Wise Women had created his robes for him when she heard of his intentions to travel to Skyrim, specifically weaving them much thicker than she would otherwise. The robes were heavy, Narzul thought, but they did their job well enough. Narzul had crossed the border between Morrowind and Skyrim a day before and had not encountered a single soul yet on the road. He knew he must be somewhere south of Windhelm, and the path he was following sloped downwards, so he must be going the right way: towards the village of Kynesgrove. However, heavy snow obscured his vision, and he could see no further than a hundred feet in any direction. That was when he spotted a figure ahead of him, carrying a light of some kind that pierced through the veil of the snowstorm. Narzul hastened his step, trying to get a better look. Perhaps it was one of the guards, patrolling the roads? He would certainly know where Narzul was, exactly, and guide his path. Narzul had been warned repeatedly by the other Velothi not to trust the outlanders too much, but Narzul had dismissed that thought a while ago. With the looming dragon menace, all the races of Tamriel were in this together now. When Narzul was close enough to make out the figure more clearly, he was surprised to see a fellow Dunmer, heavily armored, and carrying a lance that seemed to be the source of the light. "Greetings, sera," Narzul called out, raising his hand cordially. "What brings a fellow Dunmer to these roads?"

The more, the merrier. I promise not to keep you fine fellows waiting on my introductory post for much longer.
Well, Evos is on his way to Kynesgrove, via the north on his way from the shrine of Azura, he'll get there before DovahFeyn do, and it offers some interaction. It could also tie into lord pies point. two Dunmer showing up, one heavily armoured and the other a mage, that will certainly spark an interesting reaction, as Lord said :P
Leos Klien
That sounds good to me. It wouldn't be far-fetched at all for two Dunmer to meet on the road near the Shrine of Azura. It's time for me to head home now, I'll take a look at what you've written and concoct something of my own. Then we can meet Lord Pie's anxious Khajiit in Kynesgrove.
Outlanders wouldn't know the term. It would be as opaque as telling them he's an Urshilaku, so what's the point?
Hank
But the Velothi are proud people. To hell with the Outlanders! That and I really don't want to go retcon a CS.
Delta1038
That's true. I don't feel like changing my CS either, but I'll remember to use the term at least once during the roleplay. Speaking of which, I'm currently at work, so I don't really have to time to write a post (how I managed to scrape my CS together is actually beyond me). I'll write up a post tonight. What would be a good place for Narzul to start? From skimming the last few pages, it looks like the Dovahfeyn are busy interrogating the Snow Elf, so throwing another newcomer into that mix might not be a good idea.
Hank
Just throwing an idea; you were always there but as a Veloth you are just too damn proud to talk to these Outlanders.
Delta1038
Narzul is certainly aloof, but I was hoping to have some interaction with the other characters. Having him as a mute background ghoul hovering in the middle distance isn't exactly what I had in mind. ;)
You could appear in the morning if you wish, or wait at Kynesgrove? You could also band up with the group still at Irvastead. Dealers choice, really. Or. If you want, you could team up with my Dunmer; Evos?
Leos Klien
Where is Evos currently at?
You could be wandering in Kynesgrove? There is a certain Khajiit in the inn unintentionally awaiting the party's arrival. Fun fact is he is being hunted by the Morag Tong, so one such as Narzul would evoke and interesting reaction from him I'm sure. But of course dealer's choice :)
Lord Pie
That would be interesting. I like this suggestion.

I thought the Ashlanders prefered the term Velothi after the prophet?

I've already sent you this on the IRC, but for other new users reading this thread: The New User's Guide.
Wow, these confessions are fucking garbage. I can't even manage to be disappointed in this fact, because I expected as much before I even opened the thread. I know they're lacking my slew of bullshit and lies that spiced things up, but I was far from the only one submitting that kind of nonsense, so I suppose they've all fucked off from Spam/RPG as well. Also, the Skype group is still sort of a thing, but it's pretty fucking dead compared to how it was for most of 2014. Most of its activity seems to have been sucked away to other Skype groups created for those who've gone to Iwaku, just like Spam is a shadow of its former self due to all the migration.
Jorick
That's not the kind of enthusiastic, kind and encouraging rhetoric I would expect from you, Jorick-chan.
Name: Narzul Reloth. Age: 87 (relatively young). Race: Dunmer. Class: Ashlander sorcerer. Appearance: Tall and gangly are some of the few appropriate words that come to mind when describing Narzul’s figure. There is hardly an ounce of fat on his body, nor much muscle, so he looks more like a gray-skinned skeleton than anything else. This wiry frame is usually hidden beneath dark, hooded robes, intricately woven and embroidered with symbols in the Daedric alphabet. Where the details are concerned, Narzul has all the traits typical of a Dunmer: a thin, angular face, ridged brow, slanted, crimson eyes and jet black hair. He usually wears his hair in a ponytail. A more defining characteristic is the facial tattoo that Narzul sports; white paste, created with ash and crushed moth wings, has bleached the skin of his face as pale as bone. Personality: Like most Ashlanders, Narzul doesn’t exactly sport a jolly disposition. Generally solemn and reserved, he is an elf of few words, and when he does speak, he often does so in veiled speech and allegory. His strong sense of duty to his people, his land and his faith, drives him to join the Dovahfeyn. Dragons, wielding powers granted by gods Narzul doesn’t recognize, are seen as blasphemous creatures by his kin, and their eradication is a top priority, lest the Dunmer suffer another Red Year. Bio: Born in the harsh wastelands of Vvardenfell, Narzul is one of the enigmatic Ashlanders, tribal people who were persecuted by the Tribunal Temple for hundreds of years before they were eventually vindicated by the fall of the Tribunal, the rise of the Dissident Priests to power in the priesthood and the devastating Red Year. These days, Dunmer from all over Tamriel travel to Vvardenfell to make arduous pilgrimages to visit the Wise Women of the Ashlander tribes, those who are now seen by the Dunmer to have had ‘true vision’ all along. Ashlanders usually don’t take any heed of the world at large. They are a deeply spiritual people that keep themselves to themselves. When dragons traveled across the sea to Vvardenfell, however, and attempted to extend their reign of destruction, the Ashlanders were among the first to act. Dunmer are the people of fire, the Ashlanders especially, and they fought back against the inferno of the dragons with vigor. Since the Red Year, there is no flame left in Tamriel that can frighten an Ashlander. Narzul, who was born more than a hundred years later, never saw these flames himself, but heard plenty of stories about them from the Wise Women of his tribe, the Urshilaku. Now, fire comes for them again. Narzul has traveled to Skyrim to join up with the Dovahfeyn, ready and willing to dedicate his life to stopping the dragon menace. Equipment: Narzul wears traditional chitin armor under his black robes for protection. He has no physical weapon on his person, fighting instead with Conjuration magic. He knows how to summon Daedric beings from the depths of Oblivion and how to conjure an ethereal blade in his hands. Like most Dunmer, he also knows a variety of flame spells of the school of Destruction, but he isn’t a master by any means. Other: Nothing much, really.
