@Prince of Seraphs, @Lugubrious, @Lucius Cypher - Alright, well since this is becoming a slight problem. What say you to rewriting Gren's "nuclear reactor' to something akin to a Soul Drive/Solar Furnace/Dust Core?

I know, which is why he and Gren are going to need to chat at some point after the mission in order to explain this possible plan to him. Hopefully after Gren and Shiro get to know each other more and after Gren feeds Shiro's own dislike of Sapphire.

I'll admit, the bigger trick is getting Shiro to agree to it. Shiro is too nice to do something so ruthless, so maybe I'll have Gren teach Shiro how to... Use his anger intelligently. And have Shiro trust Gren enough to let Gren be hurt for the both of them. Maybe have Gren plant the idea of this into Shiro's head, and all Gren needs to do is give Shiro the push and opportunity to do it.

This is, of course, only if you're willing to have Shiro go down such a dark path, or assuming Gren or Shiro's current opinions about Sapphire never changes by the time something like that could happen. Remember, this is just Plan B. Plan A is much more peaceful and doesn't involve anyone fighting each other.

Shiro is meant to be malleable to an extent based on the people he meets and how they interact/treat him.

You don't understand, Shiro isn't about smearing people's names and letting people get hurt. You'd have to seriously manipulate him into thinking twisted before that happens. He's more along the lines of "You suck! So-and-so is leader now!"

Not if you try to make it intentional harm. Shiro doesn't like Sapphire, but he would never purposefully hurt her.

Honestly, since Shiro's semblance is more or less "illusions", I figured Shiro may end up being the one who instigates Gren's downfall. I can see it now; Sapphire and Gren eventually go head-to-head to a "Aura to zero" battle for dominance, and if Gren looses Shiro would use his illusion semblance to trick Sapphire into thinking Gren was going to sneak a final attack on her (Like what Mercury supposedly did), forcing Sapphire to finish off Gren violently. However it'd just look like Sapphire straight up murdered Gren after he was defeated instead of letting him live, making her look even more vicious then she should be, and ill-suited as the team leader. Hell, Sapphire has shown a tendency towards violence: Ebon just glared at her and she cut him on the neck. He didn't say anything, do anything (Visibly). He literally just "Looked at her wrong" and straight up tried to kill him. And there were some people there: Abel, Grane, Gren, Sepia, Krysthane, a few others I might be forgetting.

We should do it Hari. Let's make this happen.

Piecing together what Emerald said before (I'm also assuming it's her semblance that causes illusions), there's no way that she can broadcast an illusion for the entire stadium, if doing it to only two people gives her a headache. But she only needed to do it on one person, Pyyrha, in order to make it look like Pyrrha was being as ruthless as Yang was perceived to be. It made Pyrraha panic and go overboard, just as Yang went overboard punching Mercury when she thought he was trying to attack her.

Yeah, I got that vibe too. But I've personally been on the bandwagon saying that Pyrrha has been flying death flags all season, and that contrary to expectations Penny is gonna find herself hacked by Cinder and tear Pyrrha half a dozen new ones. I think the Arkos moment was just another step of buildup to that.

Also kind of bummed that my theory of Raven as a Maiden seems to be disproven - I doubt Qrow would have only just gotten in touch with her and she'd be allowed to wander on her own so freely if she were a Maiden. She's just kind of a wingnut Huntress who happens to be a shitty mom.

What about Ironwood? Did anyone get the sense he has some old unresolved PTSD going on that he hinted at with in RWBY's dorm? The "tension" teased in that scene was so lame and over so fast that Ironwood was about all I had the energy to give a shit about.

From my own personal experience, Ironwood most definitely has some signs of having PTSD. He's more than likely seen his share of some terrible things.
