I honestly don't care what people think of me as long as a mutual respect can be reached to the extent of having fun with RP. :3

I don't think its winter, yet, Abysmal.
Maybe early fall or something? Regardless, there's no snow. (At least to my understanding)
Something about backgrounds being explained in IC.
I just thought it'd be a funny little thing for Luciel to be the idiot with his target. Sharing a drink on a park bench like old friends without even knowing their name.
You guys don't need Luciel to be hanging all over ya all the time. :p
Them old people feels from otherwise young people.
I feels them, sometimes.

Also, there's no point to being all "tee-hee" about secrets if there's no way anyone else could know them.
Yay internal monologue.

Also trying to get Arena in on it all.
Luciel cracked an eye open after the events took place. He never really slept for the same reason he didn't finish what he'd served himself. "Our powers are tools..." He mused aloud before giving a tired sigh, assuming he'd have to be on watch for the entire night, seeing how everything was going. "...as much as the humans hate it, they know we are people. People use tools and being a hex is like being born half-gun" He went on as he sat up, rubbing his eyes before his hands moved to rub his temples. "When it comes down to it, knowing how to use a tool saves the user considerable frustration" standing and carrying the pot into the kitchen to put the leftovers into a tupperware container along with various cans he had picked out to take with them and leaving many more aside; ingredients for cooking which David had told him not to, regardless of the explosions that their comrades created at regular intervals...

"It is ultimately up to the wielder to determine how the tool is used..." Luciel muttered, his words growing less annoyed and more sincere, his point coming from the heart as he sat to put his boots on, "...and what it is used upon."
With that, they stood and made their way to the door, taking their turn to leave mysteriously, only without explanation. As he closed the door, a faint whisper wafted into the room of his final musings, "...and are held responsible for their actions"

I had forgotten my coat, but it didn't matter much. With a sweep of my arms, the silken fungal makeup of my shirt washed ink black and bulked into a long coat belted down the chest which a vibrant red tie was tucked into. With each step, the heels of my boots worked down into respectable flat-soled boots. I wanted to stand on top of my mountain and yell. I want to wake up and break off this lake of hell and I feel like a bitch for letting my words twist me up...
My headache was getting worse and I had never needed a drink worse in my entire life. I just had to get out of there. It was the same story about how a bunch of kids didn't understand themselves to know exactly why they belonged in a hole...perhaps not being treated like rabid animals, but half of them couldn't be trusted and the other half were volatile.
The only difference was that this was the last time.
Apollo is a good example of what I should have been. It would have been easier if I didn't have the taste of freedom in my mouth to cloud my judgment. I was given a fancy armlet to fill that gap...
Half a block and one door kicked in, later, and I was reunited with my choice poison.

A tall whisky sour was my mistress of the night as well as a flask for the road. Heh, if they knew I was twenty six, they'd be certain to ask more questions. I opted to take the night off, since I had so few left. Even still, I had a better view of the house from the outside and would use that as my reasoning...as well as a calculated flank, if things suddenly went south. I prayed the distant sirens were the echos of other people's problems from the recent explosion. Clinking the ice in my glass, I rested on a park bench where some bum who hadn't gotten the memo decided it was a good idea to call home for the night. Company was company...

"Good evening..." Luciel sighed, softly, hoping his movement wasn't enough to rouse the hobo who he assumed was passed out from robo-tripping or something. The idea of having an incoherent wall to talk at enticed the albino almost as much as the burn of the first sip.
Couldn;t agree more.
Luciel froze as Ace thanked him. It was unexpected...and something else. The hue of his eyes fading back to the dull amber as he set the bowl down and watched her chase after Apollo.
He did not follow.

Instead, they sighed, looking over at Drex who'd been quiet for the longest time. Shaking his head before letting it hang, he laid down on the couch to stare at the ceiling, thinking he heard something on the roof. Luciel assumed it was the unintroduced boy...
David's comment about cooking fancy food confused Luciel, slightly. His explanation of what he was cooking was that it was mostly made from cans, although he'd received decent reviews on its simplicity. The concept of people thinking it was fancy although simple and mostly can made...
Typically, the assumption was that most people aren't born in prison and learn skills in life. Regardless, Luciel's mood seemed to pitch in response to David's aggressiveness. Perhaps he'd taken his skills for granted that he knew how to conceal a fire, although, based on David's behavior Luciel wasn't sure he trusted him enough to respect the method. With this, the eye contact with David mere inches from Luciel's face was opportunity enough for the albino to tense the muscles around his eyes, fabricating a threatening glare from an otherwise friendly smirk. Without a word, he let David leave, recomposing himself with a blink of an eye as he turned to Ace for a moment before proceeding to boil noodles. "So, what is your opinion of casserole?" Luciel asked, slashing into a half-pound pack of lean ground beef which he proceeded to fry in the skillet, mincing it with a wooden spoon as he went.

I had nothing to prove to him. David was more than welcome to have none of what I intended on having, and had made enough for others. His tone made me want to headbutt his nose into his handsome skull; ungrateful, untrusting self-entitlement...no better than humans, pretending to know people without even trying to empathize.
Knowing what's best?
Maybe it's just been a long day. Everyone could benefit from some actual rest and it wasn't the time to be getting caught up over seemingly nothing.
You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, anyway...

I left the bag on the counter empty...out of spite.
There would be more than enough time to take what I wanted without the fucking warden breathing down my neck.

It didn't take long for Luciel to sling together the dish in a pot which he hoisted onto the coffee table with a big spoon and bowls. "It's not much" he started, serving himself a bowl and laying back in the couch, almost tempted to turn on the tv before remembering the layer of subtlety that they were in.
Gawd, freedom was so close that he could almost touch it. It made his chest hurt a little...or maybe it was the trickle of poison to tell him another day had officially been marked off of his time. A tiny daydream teased the edges of his vision as he looked into the forkful of noodly deliciousness. It made him hesitate, his heart sinking...
Cooking always hurt, taunting him...mocking him..."Heh, if I had more time and ingredients..." he mused out loud before taking the first bite.

Never breaking composure in front of Ace.

*slowly swirls drink and looks away to sip*
Game on.~
Luciel opened and closed cupboards, getting a feeling for his options in terms of food. Hearing Ace in the other room, he felt a little bad that he hadn't really had the notion to be cooking stuff until just then. Still, he felt responsible for her, which drove him to look for a few specific things. He started heating a pot of green beans while sipping at a glass of water.
Apollo came in to grab a can of tuna. Not a bad idea; Luciel considered looking around for sardines and some crackers just as David stormed in, tossing the bag on the floor. Leaning against the counters, Luciel lifted an eyebrow as he looked at David over the raised edge of the glass. Taking his sweet time to respond, he bit into an ice cube, setting the glass down. "Eit vould probably be a idea to take pots vith us as vell" he commented without moving to acknowledge the demand, letting his accent shine as to add a sensual edge to his words as his eyes locked with David's. The bioluminescence of his eyes eased from amber to a light hue of red. "Cooking iz good for morale...also, we vill need means to pad eit all to stay quiet vhile ve are on zeh move" he went on, breaking eye contact as he approached the bag, opening it to see how much room he had to work with as well as a display of non-threatened docility towards David. He picked the bag up and set it on the counter before going back to his water. "Ehnt vaht are you going to do vith zeh ohzehr bag?" Luciel asked, lobbing the power struggle back into David's court by merely implying that there were two bags and apparently David was the one who wanted to have the ideas even though Luciel's suggestions were sound.

At that moment, that Luciel was about to take another sip, his eyebrows perked up and he set his water down, remembering what he was doing. "Mmh! *swallows a mouthful of water* So, I'm making a little something special for those who have gone without a warm meal~" he started, the teasing taking a more sincere tone since he assumed David was one of those. Gesturing to the setup he was working with, one larger pot boiled water, the green beans were warming nicely and a skillet began to sizzle from the oil he'd tossed into it. "Have you ever browned ground beef? It may not be fancy, but a can of cream of mushroom soup will make them think it is~" Luciel chirped with a wink, implying that he'd appreciate David's help with something that would probably be more palatable than a room-temperature can of beans.

All in all, Luciel didn't seemed phased at all by David's attempt to control him. If anything, he used it as an excuse to try to get David to cooperate.
