Bio

There's not much about me to say.

I was born in December 1998, and I've been doing Forum RP since 2011. I live in Southeast Asia-- the Philippines (GMT +8:00) in particular, so if I'm not around, I'm probably asleep or otherwise busy. I mostly do Group RPs and Tabletop Games (off-site). I've never been in a 1x1 RP, but some of the premises seem interesting enough.

I like Fantasy, Sci-fi, and certain Anime settings. I do shy away from certain genres as a matter of preference (historical, slice-of-life, grimdark, etc), and if I know nothing about a fandom setting in question, I'm far less likely to throw my hat in the ring-- but if the premise is interesting enough, I may give it a shot regardless.

I like to be relatively active, though life gets in the way sometimes. If you're lurking and are trying to get me to post, if you want to be a mutual friend, or if you want to invite me to a specific RP, just let me know...I don't bite. So long as you aren't rude, we'll get along just fine, and even then, I may extend a sort of professional courtesy between us as writers.

With that out of the way, if you're here, you're probably looking for more of my writing. Thankfully, I've recently compiled a list of my characters (with links to their respective RPs) from this site. If you want to check them out, the link is here.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading! May the RPs you're in be of an acceptable posting speed, and eventually, come to end on a decent conclusion...

...A man can dream, eh?

Fair point. I'll see about posting a reply after classes.
So, uh, I've mostly been waiting for the other pilots to post, but if necessary, I think I could probably post a reply and keep the conversation going? I'd hate to move things along too quickly that the others don't get a chance to catch up.

As he moved through the crowds, the priest found himself among the other brave men and women of the Fifth Crusade. Some were soldiers, some were knights, some were priests, and some were simple farmers and fishermen who had acquired the Gift. Three hundred souls made up the first wave, and if things were as they seemed, they would be the ones to lead the charge. Their chances of survival were, quite frankly, slim at best. Walking into unknown enemy territory was a dangerous prospect, even for three hundred warriors with God's Gift.

While Alistair was thinking silently to himself, the announcer had made himself known and had begun his spiel. The priest noticed that the announcer's eyes briefly flared blue, gazing at him and several others. Strange. The proclaimer then introduced the Ten Generals to everyone. The priest took note of their weapons, armor, and demeanor- they certainly looked capable enough.

"This is quite the spectacle." Alistair said to nobody in particular. He wondered if this city was truly under as much duress as he was told. Still, he figured that the period between Crusades was the calm before the storm.

Soon, the announcer began listing the names of the crusaders, and the commander that they would be assigned under. The priest wondered what his commanding officer would be like; and if they would have the strength to lead their battalion to victory. As time passed, a group of three hundred souls became ten groups of thirty. All seemed well.

Barring, of course, the fact that this group of three hundred seemed to have eight extras, himself included.

Before anything could be said, Alistair looked around at the remnants. It was certainly quite a varied array of individuals. Five women and three men- including himself. As he wondered what situations had brought them to the front lines, the Eleventh Sergeant had arrived. Virgil Maro, his name was. There was something strange about him, though the priest figured that all of these sergeants had something about them that made them special. They wouldn't be commanding the Fifth Crusade if they didn't, after all.

They entered the castle proper, which prompted Virgil to begin speaking. As it turned out, these eight people would serve the scouting party and vanguard, to enter the Abyss before any of the other groups did. This whole act was strange, and more than a little bit suspicious. Why hasn't anyone else descended into the Abyss yet? Why would you only send eight newly-inducted crusaders as scouts? Who was this mysterious Eleventh Sergeant?

If marching into enemy territory with three hundred was dangerous, then doing so with eight would be suicide.

...And yet, Alistair felt no fear. He had faith that the Lord would grant him the strength needed to do his duty. Even if he were to die, he would find some solace knowing that had taken down some demons with him.

He opened his mouth to speak, but a woman with strawberry-blonde hair and red-white armor spoke first, declaring her intentions. It seems she's found her strength. Alistair nodded, impressed. "I accept as well." The priest said, a gentle smile on his face. "I've pledged to give my life in service of the Lord, and if this is what is being asked of me, then so be it."

"...I must ask, however. Why the secrecy?" He asks, his smiling face presenting just a hint of wariness.
<Snipped quote by Hawthorne>

Jawaid and Jawaid is an old, old joke that I will happily keep going until the day I die.

Anyway, I consider any company I include in any sheet, personal or plot related, to be open for use. Once they're invented they're a part of the world, and I enjoy seeing pieces get put together.

There's a funny story here, I'm sure. Maybe one day we'll find out more about this mysterious manufacturer, eh? Interesting stuff to note, though.
I believe Konstantin's Orbital, the Bedwyr, was made by one General Resources, which was formerly the Germany-based Grunder Heavy Industries. Might make a good substitute for a not!Northrop-Grumann Corporation, though HereComesTheSnow might be able to confirm or deny as to which company he drew inspiration upon.

Edit: Ninjas. Looks like confirmation to me.
Also same. Most of my weapon ideas, names, and descriptions were ripped straight from Starsector, but renamed and rebalanced to give a semblance of originality. Was fun drawing inspiration from there, too.
What sort of names are you looking for? For Holden, I mostly used the fictional Saturn-based company known as Dodekatheon Industries, which makes Orbitals and equipment for Orbitals based off of Greek Mythology. There's also Colonial Arms, which I imagine is basically not!Colt, which produces rugged, but reliable weapons for use on the ground.

I've also noticed that some of the mechs or equipment used by the other characters occasionally share a manufacturer (i.e. Jawaid & Jawaid Industries, the Ajax and the Odysseus, etc), which I think was really cool. Maybe you could borrow some of those, if you like. Otherwise, I could probably come up with a set of generic corporation names that you might find handy.
Honestly, at this point, any kind of mech would probably be welcome; whether that's more artillery, more artillery support, or gasp- something non-artillery related? Heresy. On a more serious note, pick whichever strikes your fancy. It's not like we're particularly lacking for anything, so if you can't decide, you could pick up a generalist role.
Ayy, more pilots!

"Hmph. I honestly don't understand all the hype about hot sauce." Holden commented on their preferences of flavor. "I can enjoy a bit of spice in my life every now and then, but you can have great meals with just salt and pepper." He shrugged as he finished his meal- he ate quickly, as many men in the military did. If you didn't eat quickly, you didn't eat at all, sometimes.

Artemie's words were quite interesting, though. She knew this much about the planet data, but didn't know about the mission itself? Granted, he couldn't say much either- the fact that this simple expedition required this much firepower was worrying in its own right. "You managed to take a look at the probe data?" Holden questioned, curious. "How'd you manage that? I thought only the higher-ups and scientists knew." He then leaned back in his seat, stretching his arms a little. "If you didn't know, the Pandora's carrying a Colony Module that's supposed to be set up on a viable habitat on Proxima Centauri β."

...something like that, anyway. He wasn't exactly the most knowledgable when it came to how planet colonization worked.

In the time that it took for him to get acquainted with the newcomer, two more had entered the mess hall. One took a seat at the table, while another opted to sit at one of the empty ones. The woman with the mask was easy enough to recognize- Gypsy Alexandros. A strange one, to be sure. The other woman was a little younger, and Holden knew her as Stel Nebula. He had heard that she was a capable engineer, but hadn't heard much about her otherwise. The former seemed to be getting along just fine with everyone, but the latter seemed less enthused about this whole situation- he decided to try and strike up a conversation to see how she was doing... but maybe later. Leaving the table as it is would be a little strange.
