@LuckyBlackCat Do you want to give it a quick trial run? It hasn't exactly been tested.
@LuckyBlackCat That's the idea, hopefully the level 8 thing offsets the difference in move strength.
@LuckyBlackCat

I made the normal gym with the following rules for our level:

The gym leader doesn't have any moves over 80 power as our current teams don't exactly have a diverse movepool yet.

No Z moves (No Z stockpile :( )

Everything is level 8 as that's about the average (I know we have a few Pokemon that are at 9 and 10, but the gym leader still has moves to counter that difference in power)

Only 3 Pokemon (if you have more, you'll have to choose 3 for this battle)

Munchlax @ Wiki Berry
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 204 HP / 204 Atk / 48 Def / 52 SpD
Brave Nature
- Chip Away
- Zen Headbutt
- Stockpile
- Recycle

Doduo @ Lum Berry
Ability: Tangled Feet
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aerial Ace
- Fury Attack
- Agility

Furfrou @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Cotton Guard
- Toxic
- Secret Power

TMs that you may choose from after: Swagger, psych up, hidden power, return.
@LuckyBlackCat I suppose we should make sure this gym leader is good to go before everyone starts challenging it.

@LuckyBlackCat I don't see why not. I could see the use of Z moves in contests for sure.
@LuckyBlackCat Yeah, the thing with Gyarados being a rain dancer is the fact that it's your mega so it can't hold a damp rock. It also helps that it doesn't take a move slot to get that rain out there. I'd say give it a whirl if you've got any weak links in the team. I'd also say Pelipper since it got drizzle in this generation (and it can learn stockpile).
@LuckyBlackCat Usually Smeargle is a good baton passer as it can get any status move and stats buff. They could have been setting up for that. Your Ludicolo have some great sustainability Does anyone on your rain team have Drizzle?
@LuckyBlackCat Yeah, I love Toxapex and Araquanid (as you know), but their niches are pretty defined. Politoed is an amazing addition to any rain team, hence its use in so many VGC rain teams...plus it's a hilarious Pokemon. Oh and an amazing scald user.
@LuckyBlackCat Neither of them are particularly suited for a rain team if you ask me. I mean Araquanid could do some insane damage with liquidation, but that's basically it. Toxapex plays the poison type much more efficiently because of the merciless ability.
@LuckyBlackCat Yeah, more or less.

@OtomostheCrazy The best thing with araquanid is Z stockpile. After that the only thing it fears is being seeded and toxic. Electric types are meh for it unless you manage an OHKO. It might be good to note its special defense is much more than its physical.
