Astronomer. But my point is that all political discussions are scholarly discussions. All that other stuff that most people do don't even qualify as discussions; I'd call those things political ranting, and on a lower tier, sometimes even ignorant banter. I find politics very interesting, but I wouldn't want to pursue it.

But here I am doing exacty what I wanted to avoid. I'm jumping in when I'm too tired to probably even form a cohesive paragraph.
