@Slime@Dawnscroll Is this place......still alive/active? Please forgive me if this sounds bad or a tad critical, but it looks like things have been pretty slow in this place for about a month from my own quick observations. Still, though, it seems to be a rare occurrence these days to find some kind of Fate RP somewhere on the internet. So i just want to sate this bit of curiosity of mine about this place if no one minds!
It had been...a long day even after arriving in his room with his new roommates.
After having made sure his things were there, his roommates seemed to branch off on their own, the edgy one headed to the shower and the other began to seemingly addressing them before unpacking her things and starting on the placement exams. Blinking for a moment as he watched her do that for a moment after she had spoken to them, Aaron had simply shrugged and grabbed a pencil from the desk and sat down to start on the placement tests as well. After all, he might as well get the school stuff out the way before he did a bit of gaming before bed. He was sure his 3DS was in the duffle bag he had inspected, so an hour or two of Pokemon Moon would probably help him veg out and not have to think too hard after the events of the day, if nothing else. Then again, pulling out a larger console and trying his hand at a a bit of that old Battlefield 1 game people still seemed to play online ever since it came out could be fun as well...as long as his team didn't run around like a bunch of morons this time around.
It was a couple of hours, one lunch break to get some food quickly from the cafeteria, and one nearly fully depleted wooden pencil later when he had finally finished the exams and had managed to get on his handheld for a short while. It had been somewhat soothing for him to just sit and stare into the screen, but even so at the time of turning on the game he had found he was currently in the middle of trying to beat the Akala Island Grand Trial with his Torracat to give himself more of a challenge. From there it had been a somewhat enjoyable, if not slightly irritating as well, fight before he had moved on to the next island and the next part of the game's story as such, though by the time he had made it to the Houkalani Observatory after a good deal of level grinding he had found himself feeling a good bit tired mentally. Perhaps it had been the day, the events...maybe everything combined together if he were to be frank to himself.
So too tired to play any more games, he had just decided to climb onto his bed and start to get some sleep a bit earlier than his roommates. In his mind, perhaps a good night's sleep would give him energy for the morning. What could go wrong?
As the alarm sounded and the ankle cuff on his leg began to beep, Aaron's eyes popped open at the sound of the voice of the cold Dr. Zhang, who seemed to begin to tell them what was going on without a pause. As he lazily began to rouse himself, getting out of his bed still in his clothes, Aaron stretched his arms and continued to listen to the cold woman eventually get to orders for himself and the new arrivals. Glancing down at his glowing green ankle cuff, and jokingly wondering in his head if the ankle cuffs could be any other color then the blasted primary colors, Aaron rolled his eyes at the situation before waiting for Chris to exit the bathroom after seemingly having been surprised and such by the alarm. It brought a smirk to Aaron's face and a light chuckle at what seemed to be happening with his very edgy looking roommate. Once his roommate was gone, Aaron quickly went into the bathroom and splashed his face with cold water before wiping it with the hand towel nearby, before a guard eventually poked his head into Aaron and his roommates' room and barked about needing to report to his group with the other newbies in "Green Team". Apparently Chris had left before he had, eliciting a sigh from Aaron.
"I get it, i'm coming," Aaron said, walking out after the somewhat frustrated looking and angry guard.
It was all a crazy situation to hear about, much less get thrown into especially since they were apparently being attacked by monsters.....ones made by a Precursor nonetheless. It was nothing to gawk at in his opinion, and could probably be deadly if they made the wrong moves. Already as he moved down to meet with the other and then get into the truck, his mind began to race over what they could be facing, the answer of which he felt to be "anything and everything". Facing a person who could make monsters similar to what the Dreamcatcher had done, well, it probably entailed a lot of variety that could be thrown out there. Perhaps even something interesting would be among the ranks of whatever the heck Menagerie himself was sending against them according to Zhang. At least if something interesting killed him and the others out there, he could put something funny on his headstone.
Lightly shaking his head at the thought of possibly dying, one thing he had wanted to avoid by coming here in a sense, the brown-haired boy clambered into the military truck with his other groupmates and the one nervous-looking guard who probably wanted to get away from them if he could. Despite his casual pose, Aaron for a moment felt like mulling over the thought of what he would be thinking if he were in the guy's position, but at the last second decided to avoid the awkward topic altogether. It wasn't worth the trouble. Rather, Aaron let his mind slip into thinking about the situation at hand. There was no use whining about anything that had happened so far, and there truly wasn't any use in thinking about the guard's perspective. After all, they were all the ones being thrown out there
(insert the events of the collab post that occur in the truck here)
It was safe to say that once they finally arrived on the battlefield...it looked like something out of a video game. Not in the good way, however. Lights being thrown, a dancing girl with a barrier, another girl using shapes to harm and kill a striking variety of monsters, it was all somewhat surreal, as if it was a dream, albeit not a good dream if it was one. Rapidly one of the back-line individuals of the group that was fighting the monsters seemed to jog over to them before noting they had been briefed about the new arrivals and calling back to his friends about backup having arrived. With the short briefing on things and apparently their welcome party done with his mission, Aaron looked to where his team's monsters would be located.
"Mmm, i have some idea, but we have to act fast before these things get too close," Aaron said to the girl as the tiredness of starting the summoning of two creatures set in rapidly and began to make him sleepy again, before giving her a nod and looking back to the others in his group in general and also the grotesquely transforming Chris for a moment before looking back at her, muttering the last bit he said next under his breath, "Here's to hoping we don't wipe this..."
"Ok everyone, listen up!" the brown haired boy shouted at the others, after cracking his knuckles aloud and then turning to face the Green Team as a whole, a look of serious concentration and thought crossing his face as he spoke and made sure the others were listening to him "We're breaking into smaller group to handle this, because if we stick together these things will probably overwhelm us. Chris over there needs cover so he transforms into...whatever that things seems to be he's turning into. So: You, girl who can break things down. You, the girl who first spoke in the truck on the way here and said you can shout things to death. Both of you stick with Chris while he transforms, protect him from the meatballs, and then all three of you move towards the first Flying Spaghetti Monster while killing meatballs on the way. Stay together. Also tell Chris to keep the things' attention on him, whether its the meatballs or the stupid spaghetti. Don't care if he whines about it.l Once you get to the meatball, shouting girl, you try to save enough energy beforehand to try to stun it with your shouting while breaks-stuff-down girl and Chris try to break that that thing's body down and maybe pull it down while they are at it during the time the the arms are hopefully stunned by your voice. If you can get down that first plate, move to the next. If you get that one, move to the next."
"You three, i need prep time as well, as i just started summoning. So keep me covered while i finish. After that, i'll support you and you with my creatures and we will kill as many of those stupid meatballs as we can to lighten the load on Chris and the two that are with him as they move from plate to plate and try to take these things down," Aaron shouted aloud to the three, pointing at Alexis and Allison as he noted those who would go out and fight with his creatures once they were summoned, before turning his finger to Savannah next before continuing to speak, "You stay back with me while i assist them with my creatures, to help protect me just in case i have to re-summon my creatures to help the two of them in the field. On top of that, if either we or Chris and company need backup, we could send you in as well to assist either party if need be."
Aaron sighed once more as he folded his arms like some kind of anime hero-protagonist and gave a light "huff" before continuing once more. He was trying to keep himself away as the summoning occurred, though once the control panels were up after his creatures were summoned it would likely help him stay awake a bit as well. It was like he had been hit by...bricks, late nights, and other things all at once. Even now he seems to visibly tire more facially and otherwise more as the summoning continued to move forward, the minutes ticking down until his creature would arrive since he had begun his preparations just after Chris had started. He wouldn't pass out or fall asleep again after this, since he had managed to actually get some good rest before all of this, but having just woken up not long ago did not make things easier regardless.
"Now i don't care if you whine at me about this damn stuff, but if you want to live and get these things taken down without dying then stick to the damn plan i just said and get moving!" the gamer said, a determined tone in his voice that did not seem to back down even an inch at the thought of others not wanting to cooperate as part of the plan, "And if one of the two groups is getting overwhelmed and needs help, then say something to us so ya' don't die before we can send anyone in to help!"
@BaklavaOk....Took a good bit longer than five minutes because something came up, but i am finished with a rough version of my second OC idea! Just keep in mind it is a rough idea though. XD
Just to be clear, though, i am not thinking i have the spot in the bag right now at all just because i put this rough idea up.
Also, i will not be here tomorrow afternoon/night due to my shift at work, but if i can be on prior to leaving for work i can be on. Just wanted to make note of that.

Nabila is a girl who stands at the height of 5'7", sporting a skinny, leanly muscular, and overall visibly curvy and curvaceous build one would expect to see among the trained women of the Gerudo more than on a Hylian. With such in mind, she is also visibly Hylian origins otherwise in terms of her physical features, with the trademark fair/light colored skin, pointed ears, a normal-sized nose as compared to the likes of the Gerudo who have more prominent noses, and a soft, somewhat stormy looking blue-grey eye color. Her facial features take after her birth mother in that they are smooth and somewhat gentle in nature, giving her a sort of "gentle beauty" in regards to her face overall, and is a distinct feature shared by her birth mother's side of the family. Her long, light. golden blond hair has rather few bangs that frame her face somewhat on the sides, and which is overall styled in the trademark Gerudo ponytail that is secured with a golden band engraved with the Gerudo symbol and has a lovely gold-colored gem fitted into it as well. Her left shoulder has the Gerudo people's symbol tattooed on it as well.
She also commonly wears the garb of the Gerudo warriors, the people she was raised among for all of her life. This includes her wearing a sleeveless, midsection-exposing tube top that is colored purple and has red and gold colored lines, similar to those seen on Nabooru's top, that are woven onto it. She wears a pair of long, fingerless gloves that are also colored purple, and also dons a pair of gold-colored metal bracers on her forearms over these gloves. She further wears the traditional pointed-end shoes worn by Gerudo women, also colored in purple, but also wears the traditional, somewhat baggy, middle-eastern style Gerudo pants as well. The pants are colored purple and come with a low waist, and a gold-colored belt that has a gold-colored gem fitted into the front of it. Nabila also wears a purple veil with her outfit that is of the same kind of veil as some other Gerudo wear as well. Over all of her clothing she also wears a thick, hooded, basic brown traveling cloak she was given by one of her Gerudo sisters, made to handle the weather during travel as well as cover her up of course.
Student- Nabila of the sort of people who generally enjoy learning, whether it be learning new skills, learning about the world around them, and/or learning about those they meet. Albeit learning cannot be without some sense of caution and/or tact applied to the matter as a whole, as her surrogate mother taught her in the past. Still, being willing to learn has its merits in general.
Vigilant- Whether it be observing her surroundings for resources, looking for traps in a dangerous place, or subtly keeping tabs on the strangers or someone she does not trust around her in a new place, Nabila tends to keep her eyes open just in case. To her it is never a bad idea to keep an eye out when in new, dangerous, and even strange places after all.
Hard Working- Nabila is used to working hard to get what she wants, to learn what she feels she needs to, and to achieve goals, and as such she can be considered reliable when she puts her mind to something. Yet at the same time, she does not have the best outlook on those who she perceives as "lazy" or acting lazy. Why spend time sitting back for no reason if there is work that needs to be done?
Tolerant- In order to help break the Gerudo out of the bad sterotype they were put in as her surrogate Gerudo mother wishes, and to try to generally get along with others if the need arises, one must learn to be tolerant....within reason. Different customs, different upbringings, these things are what one has to face daily when going out into the world, and trying to be respectful of that if nothing else is a proper thing to do. However, people who make insults towards Nabila's family, friends, and the people she grew up among is something that can quickly draw out her ire.
Straightforward- When she feels she wants/needs to speak or act, Nabila will speak out and say something or do what she feels she needs to do. As much as trying to be generally polite can be good, not saying what seems to need to be said is something that cannot always be pushed to the side as well. Even if it possibly rubs with someone or hurts their feelings in the process.

Nabila was born a pair of Hylian parents, her mother being the usual housewife and her father being a highly skilled carpenter. Her father would build houses for people and assist in rebuilding damage after storms and other events, but much of his work was small despite its high quality. He became well-known for his work in Castle Town, but when a better-paying carpentry job cam up that entailed maintaining and assisting in much needed repairs for the bridge going to the Gerudo Desert after a recent storm had destroyed part of it, Nabila's father and mother moved there in a heartbeat. To them, the money, once the job was done, could be used to help raise their new baby daughter.
However, things went terribly south about four days into the job. A small Gerudo raiding party attacked the camp, intending to sack the camp for money and supplies from the workers there and then leave. When Nabila's father and mother both tried to stand up to them to stop one of the more unruly members of the Gerudo raiding party from entering the large tent they had been living in on the site, he and subsequently his wife were killed in a heartbeat by one of the more ruthless members of the raiding party. This occurred despite the order from the leader of the Gerudo raiding party that those who resisted simply be tied up in order to avoid making a greater mess of things and possibly discouraging more workers from coming to the bridge project to be raided in the future. Thus in the span of a few moment the poor baby Nabila was orphaned before she could even become old enough to recognize her own parents. Upon discovering the baby girl inside of the couple's tent they had so staunchly protected out of fear for their daughter, the leader of the raiding party determined they would take the baby girl with them since she had no family in the camp to care for her.
Taking the baby back to Gerudo Fortress, the member of the raiding party who had killed her parents was punished for going against orders. At the same time one of the respected Gerudo elders, herself being a magic-wielding Gerudo Mystic, took in the baby girl as her own out of sympathy for her plight, declaring that since they had robbed the girl of her parents then she would be taken in and raised among them as a result. This noble act would come to shape Nabila, who was named such by the Gerudo elder who took her in, into something her birth parents would have ever imagined.
From a very young age Nabila would be raised by her mother, Teinare, to learn the ways of the Gerudo. From learning survival skills in the desert to training with healer among the Gerudo, to learning how to do first aid and tend to all sorts of wounds, to learning how to ride a horse, Nabila was trained to be able to survive the harsh desert the Gerudo lived in. Most notably, Teinare also taught Nabila magic (rather than her learning to use weapons) with the hopes the girl would grow to become a skilled sorceress and healer overall, one that could possibly be used to help eventually strengthen the ties between the Gerudo and other races to help break down the old notions that all of the Gerudo were only "evil thieves". Such was the Gerudo elder's plan for Nabila. Through at first the notion of a baby Hylian girl being raised as one of them came to rub with some of the Gerudo, especially in the first several years of Nabila's life, over time the baby girl grew, trained, and turned into a strong woman whose skills eventually gained her acceptance as being a "true Gerudo" among the people she was raised with. Through the blood, sweat, and tears Nabila shed over the course of her life to prove herself, she had finally earned her place among the Gerudo. Even so, Nabila wondered about her true origins throughout her life, having never been told or had the matter discussed with her.
Eventually, fate seemed to change the tide of her life and had other things in store for her. After nearly a month of strange dreams of a heavenly voice and strange, vivid dreams of a place she had never been to, the Gerudo Elder who had raised her for so many years fell ill with a disease that for someone of her wizened age would be fatal. With her last breaths, Teinare told Nabila with her lasts breaths about her Hylian origins and to seek what the dreams (Which Nabila had told her of in private) before finally and completely succumbing to the ills of disease combined with the ravages of old age on her body. Soon after this Nabila gathered up supplies for the trip she was going to take, took what money her mother had willed to give her after her death, saddled up her horse, and set off towards Hyrule. Whatever fate seemed to have in store for her, whatever she could learn about her past, she got the feeling that what she was riding off to was greater than she could imagine.
Magic (Ice) (MS)- The magic of conjuring/summoning and manipulating ice, and the kind of magic Teinare specialized in. Nabila herself is capable of conjuring/summoning ice for her to manipulate, freezing water into ice, lowering the temperature of objects and even limited areas of space to chill or even freeze things, firing magical bolts/other projectiles of ice at enemies, melting ice and manipulating existing and summoned/conjured ice as well. While very useful for combat, this magic also can be useful in other application such as in a place like the desert where there is little to no water, as being able to conjure ice means one is able to create water from it as well by simply melting it. As Teinare would have noted in life, Nabila has an innate talent for this kind of magic that she also did, that with training has grown into something definitely above-average. (9/10)
Magic (Healing) (MS)- Drilled in healing magic by Teinare as well, when medical supplies are not available this form of magic can be very handy. From closing wounds to stopping bleeding to purifying poison in the body to helping stabilize and heal major damage to a person's body, this form of magic comes in very handy when it comes down to it. (8/10)
Agile (FS/SS)- She is a fast, high stamina, acrobatic, light on her feet individual with a leanly athletic body who can both move about quickly on her feet over many kinds of terrain, parkour to help herself navigate various areas, and is able to dodge very well to make up for her lack of weapons skills. (8/10)
Desert Expertise (SS)- Taught and trained about the desert, she is adept at desert survival, desert navigation, and desert foraging as a whole, though is not a complete master of these things as compared to the more honed and experienced Gerudo she grew up around. (7/10)
Horsemanship (SS)- Being raised among the Gerudo, Nabila learned how to ride a horse rather well. Her skills in this area led to her attempting to learn to use a bow as well, albeit to...hilarious and ultimately embarrassing results that led her to not pursue learning to use a bow in combination with this. Still (7/10)
Cooking (PS)- A general survival skill she was taught by her elderly surrogate Gerudo mother, and something that became necessary to learn as said surrogate Gerudo mother drew older and older with age. A moderately good cook able to make edible, tasty, and safe food in general. (6/10)
Literacy (PS)- A generally intelligent and even moderately educated person thanks to her upbringing by a wizened and experienced Gerudo elder, she is able to read and speak the Gerudo language as well as speak the Hylian Language despite being unable to read in Hylian. (6/10)
.::πΎπ πππ€::.
Nabila is determined as well as driven by both her curiosity and her the late words of her Gerudo surrogate mother Teinare to find the details of her past and just where she came from, who her Hylian parents were, and just what the Hylians (the race she originated from) are like. In a sense, it is her journey beyond the borders of her homeland in the Gerudo Desert to explore the world beyond what she has known for all of her life.
Beyond this, she also seeks to discover just what the strange dreams are leading her to, and where that path will go as well...
.::πππ§πππ₯π π£πͺ::.
She carries a backpack, itself stolen in the recent past from a Hylian of some sort by one of her Gerudo sisters, in which she puts her supplies.
-1 Leather water skin
-Wallet for Rupees
-Flint and Steel for starting fire
-Compact, lightweight preserved food rations for one person, lasting up to a week
-2 bottles of fresh water
-A map of Hyrule with an accompanying compass
-A small dagger for cutting food, herbs, or things like rope if needed for utility purposes
@BaklavaAlmost done with a rough idea of my app. Will post it here soon, to try to help illustrate what i am wanting to do with my OC idea for a "Hylian raised by a Gerudo" rather than just saying things.
@Chanda You do indeed have a point! So, respecting the decision made, i shall continue on and work on my next OC idea! Of course, i know it's not a guarantee of anything by any means, but i still might as well give it a good, solid try to see if i can earn the last spot in the RP!
With that in mind,@Baklava, i have a few questions about the Gerudo to ask you. Just to make sure i don't make any hard assumptions that could interfere with the plot or anything when constructing my next idea:
1. Are there any other magic-using Gerudo Mystics among the Gerudo population currently?
2. In terms of the division caused among the Gerudo by those who support Nabooru's views and those who favor Ganondorf's possible return, how severe is the issue among the Gerudo? Is there internal conflict or fighting going on? Is it simply a large divide in opinion without internal violence having erupted?
3. In your opinion as the GM, what is the chance a Gerudo raiding party would take back to their fortress a baby female Hylian whose parents have just been killed? That is a pretty important part of my OC idea. Also, how would such a child likely be viewed, in your opinion that is, if they were raised among the Gerudo in general?
4. Would you like me to discuss these things or anything else about the Gerudo over messages in Discord, or is it ok to ask things like i have asked here in this Interest check?
By the way, cool OC @jasonwolf. Loved the fights with the ancient robots in Skyward Sword and felt the design was cool, so found it rather neat to see that someone made an OC who is one. :)
Also, no problem @Baklava! Will continue work on the Minish OC and such when i have the chance while waiting for the verdict on the concept, if nothing else to try to flesh things out more just for fun on my end in the meantime!
@Baklava I know it doesn't secure anything, just trying to be a little joking about things is all. I see where you come from about that sort of approach as well, as it is not exactly the best method of trying to get a spot in an RP with limited spots by any means. When it comes to making characters, though, i tend to want to make sure the concept is feasible and/or acceptable before i move forward with anything.
In all honesty, once the initial concepts were out of the way and i got rid of a couple, i was rather tempted to make a longer, better detailed version of the Minish idea and put it up as the next one rather than a list of three concepts like i ended up making. At the same time, though, i was worried about a Minish being an acceptable concept or not before anything else. So i came up with the list just in case the concept for a Minish OC was rejected. Albeit i am actually working on the Minish OC right now alongside some other things i have to do on the computer today just in case the concept is deemed acceptable by you an your co-GM.
