My Character

Name: Alexi Kuroshin

Race: Dragon

Bio: A member of a powerful black dragon clan, with some roots to ancient Chinese legend, Alexi was raised in a proud household. In the past there have been other Phasing events that her household has been a part of, even at times making pacts with humans so while she had been flung unexpected into the human world there was precedence from before her time about what to do, though the world was a much different place than when her ancestors had visited it. Once The Phasing started in full swing Alexi had been traveling around in the realm of dragons to visit some cousins of hers when a portal ripped her from the dragon realm straight into the human world. Of course she was in her natural form at the time, a black and red Chinese dragon which caused quite a bit of chaos despite the fact there already was so much going on.

She was promptly attacked by both humans and other beings out of fear and so first impressions of the human world were not very high. Still with a little roasting and a transformation into a much more human form, and agreement was quickly reached between her and the humans. After helping them take out some of the worst threats she found herself trapped in the human world with nowhere to go. Having no wish to harm the human population, partly due to some ancestral pacts, she was happy to take up lodging with a kind police officer and learned much about the world and humans during her stay; however as a proud member of a dragon brood she felt horrible that there was little she could do to help as the man refused to let her help in his work and therefore was grateful when the call to go to the Pandora Complex reached her. Finally she would be able to ‘pay her rent’ so to speak.

Skills/Powers:

Human Transformation: After appearing in the human world she realized why some legends had her ancestors, in one case her grandfather, take on human form. The realm of dragons is a very different dimension; full of mana that dragon’s naturally filter into their bodies, enabling many of their more impressive feats. Taking on a human form helps a dragon conserve their mana reserves and makes mana usage more efficient, which is essential in a dimension like the human world where mana is in short supply. In this form Alexi can actually gain excess mana.

Dragon Flight: As a Chinese dragon, Alexi does not use wings but instead rides the currents of mana. In a sense she just floats through the air and can do it outside of her dragon form but not at any great speed, still it can come in useful.

Dragon Strength: Being a dragon, even in human form she is still quite powerful and agile, though more of her agility is seen while as a human. While her strength is vastly reduced she can still overpower most extraordinary species, at least the ones that are not naturally gifted with great strength.

Dragon Fang: The power of her talons and fangs are compacted into a sharp blade, a Chinese Jian and is technically a part of her body. Its sharpness seems unreal as it can slice through solid steel and has the ability of creating a ‘wind slice’ to target far away enemies, though its effective range is only about 100 feet, after that becoming something akin to being hit by a full blast blow dryer. In dragon form the blade naturally fuses back into her body as it is not longer needed.

Dragon’s Breath: Useable in both forms, naturally it is a lot weaker in her new default state. For one thing she is unable to sustain her fiery breath for very long because of her much diminished lung capacity, also because of diminished temperature anything that is flame resistant can pretty much stop the flames in their tracks.

Dragon Form: A dragon naturally uses mana, being adapted to their own dimension, and so Alexi has found that she is unable to maintain this form for more than 5 minutes at a time, at which point she has to revert and wait for her mana reserves to charge.

Other Things of Interest:
- Alexi has been rather bad with technology since she arrived. It’s not that she doesn’t like technology it just doesn’t want to cooperate with her. Alexi considers electricity kind of like a magic source for humans, considering how it operates such large and complex machines.
- Alexi is also somewhat interested in human culture and therefore is usually up for trying some new fashion or human activity, though usually she will dress in a traditional kimono.

No one has gone below the bar so that's good. I think I better cut off character submissions at this point or there will be too many people to have an effective roleplay, especially since I still got to make my own character.

So at the moment we need one more weapon to even things out. If you want pyroman I can make another character so you can put more effort into gming rather than having a second character.

On another note we have somewhat of a crybaby meister who needs a weapon partner. If I end up making another character I don't want to partner with myself cause that would be too easy.

• Personality: Kaguya is a bit of an airhead who lives in the realm of fantasy far too often, this problem has been expounded upon by the presence of the monsters and becoming a magical girl…well ya get the point. Partly because of her first name Kaguya has always been fascinated with myths and fairy tales, such as Kaguya-hime. She likes to write her own stories and often parallels people with fairy tales in her mind. Because of her love of fantasy she often forgets that someone has just told her or ignores them by accident when she slips away to day-dream land. Ultimately she is a kind girl who wants all her friends to have ‘happy endings’ but often lets her mind wander a bit too far from reality to be all that helpful.

• History: Kaguya grew up in a two parent home with a younger brother, whom she tries to take care of but her friendship with her brother is a bit of a rocky one. Well the reason for this is the few times that she was left at home to care for her brother, because of her forgetfulness would often leave an important detail out like ‘remember to feed him at 6’ or ‘bedtime is at 9’. In any case he’s been neglected a bit too much even when she was right near him and certain accidents occurred, that makes her brother quite distrustful of her. She loves her little brother dearly but it appears that he does not harbor the same amount of love toward her. Her brother is now 13 years old.

Ever since the monsters appeared she has been on a mission to try and see if any of them are the same as monsters in her favorite stories. So far she hasn’t had much success but she won’t give up so easily. Also one day she hopes to publish her own fairy tale for children to enjoy down the ages.

STORY

Welcome to the year 2X58 when the world has changed quite a bit during an event known as the Phasing. The Phasing was when the veil between dimensions ruptured, torn, or else just failed to keep things that were suppose to be hidden from each other, occurred. Needless to say all havoc broke loose when the Phasing first occurred but thanks to the swift action of various organizations the veil was repaired but not before many other entities had forced or tripped their way through to the human dimension. Suddenly having to deal with strange beings and supernatural entities humans decided to make to create special units devoted to stopping these new threats and dealing with various supernatural problems that arise. Most of these groups are human but one organization decided on creating their own special monster/supernatural squad to deal with situations.

Not all these otherworldly/fantasy beings dislike the human world and some have even decided on helping out by joining the Monster and Supernatural Extermination Squad. Some are more pressed into service but the fact is this group was created with the idea that creatures not originally of this world would be better suited to dealing with otherworldly problems. The members of this elect group have been given their own special compound where they can live in peace while they are not on a mission. The compound is accommodated to their specific needs, each resident having their own special room in the facility.

Edge City: The city where a good portion of the story takes place, this city was hit quite hard by The Phasing and has become rather infested with other dimensional creatures. It is also still one of the most unstable locations on the world with dimensions rifts still appearing from time to time, making it even more chaotic. Because of the crazy nature of the area it was thought to be the best place for the Squad to be located so they could interfere when necessary. As the area has been rather 'infested' by human standards, there are certain areas where monster communities have sprung up, though most are shadow groups at this point in time. Edge City was not the original name of the town, but after The Phasing everyone feels like they are living on the edge so the name stuck.

The Pandora Complex: The Pandora Complex is the name of the 'apartment' complex where members of the squad live while off-duty. The residents comprise of Monster residents and human caretakers for the most part, these caretakers of course being part of the organization behind the squad's construction who are there to make the lives of the residents comfortable, while also keeping an eye on them. The complex comes complete with a gym, swimming pool, indoor greenhouse, eatery, and even a few convenience stores.

Situation Report

The Monster and Supernatural Extermination Squad are currently on a mission at Edge City's waterfront warehouses. As a port town, Edge city has quite a bit of ship trafficking which combined with the phasing, means that plenty of undesirables attempt to leave by boat. Certainly a good portion people don't care about but there are certain entities which are too dangerous to let leave. A bit of intel has revealed that an underground black market group has gotten hold of several demon insect eggs and are trying to ship them overseas to an interested buyer, who is probably going to use them as special biological weapons. The mission is to stop the transfer to prevent such a dangerous extradimensional species from falling into the wrong hands.

Dragon Ball Z: Dark Ascension

"Oh, a powerful alien threat is approaching this planet? You don't say, sounds like a real blast." Tyrus chuckled as he absentmindedly twirled the umbrella in his hands. "I knew this place would be interesting, I've heard second-hand information but this world really does seem to have threats all the time. It will be perfect for getting the demon world back on its feet and out of its stagnant state." Tyrus had been wrapped up in his own thoughts he had forgotten about Violet for a moment, but now he remembered.

"Peace and cooperation? Nay child, the demon realm has been at a standstill for too long, it is in our nature to conquer all that stand before us but we have gone soft on our world, too comfortable with each other, frankly its been rather a boor even with the incessant squabbles and attempts to gain power, its lost its excitement. Besides, it is not like I can speak for my people as I never wished to rule them. Once the portal is open I am sure they will do what is in their nature, destruction and subjugation, an invasion from the outside will just add flavor to the delectable dessert I see in front of me." Tyrus didn't really care what happened, as long as it proved amusing.

Glacier

Glacier nodded to Maximus as the robot carried Amber away. There really never was a dull moment around here it seemed, which was not true at all but for the moment that appeared as the current reality. "Such a troublesome monkey," Glacier whispered to herself at Wolf's actions, he really did make all their lives much more complicated. Still, like it or not he was necessary in the upcoming battles and he needed to get healed up as soon as possible, especially since it appeared a new threat had appeared. They would have a hard enough time stopping the dark saiyans, they didn't need another invasion on their hands.

Glacier glanced over at Kalifer and Alice. The human scientist was perhaps useless in combat but her inventions would not doubt prove invaluable to her cause, as for the pure-blood saiyan, she really did not know what to think of her as of yet. Glacier could not help but give a wry smile as the pure-blood called the rest of them 'barbarians', to her people the saiyans had been complete barbarians whose only use had been as front line soldiers and population exterminators, the absolute epitomy of what a barbarian was. The ice-jinn race on the other hand had been rulers, and had a vast enterprise of commercial trade, planets being the largest commodity on the market. "In any case it appears that our workload has vastly increased. At least we have some time, if those demons are looking for that dragon radar then I assume that means their attempts at locating the dragon balls have been quite slow and somewhat unsuccessful. Our best bet is to prepare ourselves at the moment until we can formulate a plan of action."

@AgentFallenSoul: I have not problem with long bios although with the length the grammar appears to have suffered along with a few typos. The character seems interesting but obvious grammar and spelling issues are one of my pet peeves just to warn ya.

@Dark Angel: Yes your character can be an unwilling participant. Makes things more interesting.

@Knighthawk: Got a few interesting characters there. Good to see.
