Desktop profile login won't work. Coincidence that Windows 7 is no longer supported on same day? Consider me doubtful.

I'm having way too much fun with my Legend of Zelda Encylopedia. This is the game that got me into roleplaying so have a lot invested in it's lore and stories. Too bad can't have all the games too.

By the time Grace and her young partner, who was trying to keep back as much as possible, made it to the scene things had already gone underway, quite badly for the robbers. One was already down for the count, his throat slashed open while another one was currently locked in a stare down with one of the strangest things she had ever seen. It was a robotic samurai, at least that is what it appeared to be. There also appeared to be 'something' else in the building but Grace had more pressing matters to attend to at the moment.

The third robber, who had lagged a bit behind the others and therefore managed to avoid getting smacked and gutted, was understandably quite scarred and made a bolt for a different alleyway. Grace noticed he had dropped his gun in panic so she quickly signaled her protege to chase after him. Not wanting to be caught up with whatever the heck that was pointing a crossbow at the remaining crook, the young man nodded and chased after the thief.

Now Grace was alone with the 'samurai-roid' and the last remaining robber. She was quite happy she had decided to take her shotgun. "Now see here, let's put down the weapons nice and quiet like so I don't have ta start shooting." The problem with two armed 'people' was it could be hard to know which one to point her weapon at, she decided to aim at both equally.

"I ain't sure what ya are but I'm here to make an arrest. Stand down and I might allow ya to get away with self-defense." This was certainly not a situation in her years of service that had ever come up before.

The gunman was now thoroughly freaked out being caught between a crossbow-wielding robot thing and a police officer with a shotgun of all things. "Stay back you freak! Damn, what a crazy ass situation." Cursing the gunman considered his options, to give up into the custody of the police to escape the angry robot or to try and fight it out? All of his options seemed like crap.

A cyber hound, much of its body parts replaced with metal, especially the claws, had caught the 'scent'. Bounding toward where the experiments should be, a transmission was automatically fed back to Robert, giving the approximate location. Other cybers quickly started to congregate on the area, all of these were animal based as Robert wanted to move as quickly as possible.

The cyber hound's thermal visions quickly picked up some signatures, the closest being a humanoid running from another humanoid. Running forward the beast tackled the out-of-luck third robber and promptly bite his chest. The cyber hound was designed to paralyze its prey, which meant an electrical current shot from its teeth through the robber who managed to give one good scream before falling unconscious. Quickly the dog's sensors noticed it was just a regular human and since it was designed not to leave witnesses, ripped out his throat.

The poor young officer gave one quick glance at the cyber hound bloodying up the robber and ran faster than he ever had in his life. "Holy crap! Help me!"

After ensuring the robber was dead the hound zoomed after the young officer to do him in next.
Yes that was the general idea. More than welcome to do with the robbers as you will since they're small fry.
I never did finish the trilogy, only got up to Mass Effect 2.
Robert grinned at the piece of cloth, normally such a small piece would be useless but Robert knew how to use it as a direct line to the runaways. Feeding the piece into a special machine it dissected it and transformed it into a special tracking formula that included the DNA of one of the experiments. He was not sure which one it was but it was not one of his creations at any rate. The special tracking 'scent' would last for only a short while before it disintegrated however, plus they had wasted time so he had to move fast. Gathering his trackers he quickly started to head for the more disreputable and abandoned sections of town, which is where the experiments were likely hiding. He just had to get close enough to location their position, in the end though there was quite a bit of luck involved in the hunt but he had the advantage over his siblings.

Police Chase

"Pull over now ye varmints and I won't have ta pop yer caps!" Grace Hillsborn, police detective roared at the stolen vehicle housing three masked men who had just recently robbed a marijuana bank of all things. Considering how much money those 'medical' marijuana providers could rack in she wasn't really surprised. They had taken cash and most of the drug stock, probably hoping to fence it in another state where it was illegal to up their cash flow even more. They were unlucky though since as they were loading up the goods, Grace and her partner, a young cop new to the force, happened to be on patrol and quickly gave chase.

"I don't think you are very convincing detective." The young officer quipped in the passenger's seat, which quickly made him the target for Grace's angry eye.

"Ya, well I donna give a hoot. Ya'll are going down in a pinch weather they know it or not." They had been chasing them for a while now, the robbers were heading to less populated parts of town, places where business and industrial complexes failed, essentially a ghost town inside of the city. Grace hated to admit it, but those crooks were better drivers than she was and unfortunately there was a worse incident nearby with a gunman so they had not backup.

"Dog gone, they'll skidaddle if we donna do somethin soonish. Guess it be time ta take the initiative." The young cop watched with his jaw wide open as Grace rolled down her window, stuck her gun out with one hand and rather unceremoniously, shot out one of the car's rear tires. "That outta do it."

"You serious?"

"Yep, hey that car may be another's but collateral damage happens junior." Grace defended her actions as the car started to lose control, but someone the other driver kept her upright and drove into a rather narrow alley, and nasty scrapping could be heard and Grace made sure to stop before going in. The two looked and sure enough they stolen car had gotten stuck.

"Heh, easy like me ma's pie." Grace laughed once, but stopped as the thieves quickly broke the front window, got all they could carry and climbed out. "Cheeze curds," was her impromtu curse word for the moment, "stop ya law breakers!" But like most criminals they did not listen and ran for it. They could see on the other side an abandoned industrial complex, perhaps and old factory of some kind.

"Well we're still outnumbered by their posse, guess I'll need to bring a little extra firepower to scare em like little doggies." Grace walked out of her car, with a shotgun she liked to call, 'riot control' as one shut pretty much shut down anything.

"That can't be standard issue."

"Course it ain't, it's my own. I got special permission from the upper crest if that what ya wanna know." The two carefully made their way around to chase down the men, though the new officer could not help but thing his superior officer was a little off her rocker.
Congrats...well that's all I got lol.
Still here.
So cybers will be the first 'round' to face, but first there will be a little 'normal' action in the area, to introduce a semi-permanent npc to the roleplay. Gonna try to give the others a chance to say something first though.
For the most part I'll just be GM posting driving the story rather than creating my own character. I'll bring in a 'good' npc a bit later.
Three Days After Escape

The wreck was gone at this point, though some of the damage from the crash still remained. Part of a nearby food mart had been smashed in along with a traffic signal that had been ripped out of concrete from the crash. The first order of business for the Veiss family had been to quickly get rid of any evidence of their experiments, so a thorough cleansing of the area had been done. Vicktor lamented this necessity as despite his genetically enhanced hounds powerful senses there was little left to go off of.

The reason his two-headed hounds and his brother's cyberbeasts were able to fully examine the crash site without anyone noticing was the fact that their father had pulled some strings with the local government to have the area quarantined, as the armored vehicle had been carrying 'hazardous' material. Of course it was not typical chemical or biological agents in that transport, but devious experiments. They had been one of their more impressive batches and were about to be retrofitted to better serve but then it only took one drunk driver to completely destroy everything.

"Tch, if we had just gone after them as soon as we knew..." Vicktor started before he was rudely interrupted.

"Then we could not have silenced the emergency personal that had arrived at the scene." Robert chided, acting like the all-knowing big brother that he sort of was. Needless to say Vicktor was not pleased even if he knew it had been a necessity to keep any information from leaking into public hands.

"I see that not even your detective tin cans can find anything useful. The trail has gone cold, not even my devil hounds can track them from here." One of the said devil hounds turned one of its two heads in their direction and whined, as it was unsuccessful in sniffing out anything useful. "We'll just have to do search grids at this rate and look out for any 'special' reports."

"Yes that would be for the best," said Robert as he called off his mechanical fiends while Vicktor did the same with his own creatures.

"I'll be the first to find them and bag them!" Vicktor gloated as he strode off with his abominations.

"Oh, I would not be so sure of that." Robert smirked as a small cyber-roach crawled up his leg with a present, a piece of cloth from one of the experiments. "After all, I don't like sharing."
