Desktop profile login won't work. Coincidence that Windows 7 is no longer supported on same day? Consider me doubtful.

I'm having way too much fun with my Legend of Zelda Encylopedia. This is the game that got me into roleplaying so have a lot invested in it's lore and stories. Too bad can't have all the games too.

Zypha looked at small marine with a bored expression, thought in reality she was sizing him up. She also remembered that he had been the marine that had dashed away on the trail to alert the base. He had been quite a quick little guy and the fact that he was wielding dual knives meant he was a fast and agile fighter.

Knives could be very annoying as they were easy to move around with, quick on the defense, and easily became throwing knives at any moment. Of course the downside of knives was they had little length and once thrown, unless one picked them up again could not be used again. Against a quick opponent the pistol was not going to be of much use so she left it along and instead gripped her twin scythe.

"Well if it isn't the brave one that ran to tell the others." Zypha let her right scythe drop a bit, her hand now on the the attached chain and kept lowering it until it was just above ground level. "Splitting us up isn't the worst idea your captain could come up with but he is fighting in one of the other rooms right?" She tilted her head to the right as she started to get her rights scythe in motion, starting to spin it around from her grip on the chain next to her.

"So, if he still has the remote on hand then really whoever wins that fight has control over the base, a bit stupid he didn't leave it with some flunky in the back. As annoying as it is I guess our fight won't count for too much, ah well not like you'll be leaving with your head." Zypha brought the circling scythe above her head for two spins while she edged closer to her opponent the let the scythe fly forward in an arc, aimed at the marine's neck.

If the scythe hit or missed the target Zypha was about to reel it back into a spin on her right side. While it would be nice if the first attacked ended the fight it probably wouldn't so it would be up to Zypha to observe her opponent's reactions to come up with a plan of attack. If the opponent was quick like she thought, the best way would be to figure out how best to trap her opponent and limit his movements but she needed to see him in action first.

With the trapdoor blown open Zypha descended to the floor of the base and go to bare witness to the carnage caused by her crewmates and apparently her use of the cannon to get in. It was pretty much chaos but now there were three doors for them to choose from. It was really a rather disgusting thing, having to split up again after just getting back together but they needed to strike as hard and as fast as possible.

"This base is just so inviting to our kind." She joked as she looked at the three identical doors. It seemed like Abigail had chosen the middle door which was fine with her. It was annoying but it had to be done, "Well I'll go ahead and take the left door then. Let's finish this base off as quickly as possible then pilfer what we need. You guys better stay alive cause I'm not wasting my time burying either one of you, especially you." She directed that last bit toward Asus for his ladies first comment.

Zypha made her way to the left door and casually waved back at Abigail and Asus, "Meet ya in a few. Blow the rest of these morons away will ya?" She opened the door and stepped through to go deeper into the base.
Zypha stared at the door for a little while and considered her options. The marines didn't have anything on them that could open the trap door, she had attempted opening the door by herself but it was quite sturdy and wouldn't budge. She considered trying her scythe but quickly discarded the idea as being useless. "Well it won't be stealthy at all but, there is at least one way I can get inside."

Zypha walked over to one of the cannons and started to maneuver the piece of artillery over toward the trap door. After carefully positioning the cannon, Zypha made sure to load up a cannonball and prepare the weapon for firing. Everything in place she pointed the cannon's muzzle at the trap door and lit the fuse. There was no way she was standing anywhere near that canon when it went off so she quickly made her way to the other side of the remaining cannon to act as a barrier in case the explosion was more than she bargained for.

One way or another she was going to get in and finish the job they started.
"Well now that I'm up here," Zypha spoke to herself as she looked at the fallen marines on the roof, "time to see what I can use." Zypha quickly went over each of the marine's corpses to see if there was anything useful such as extra bullets, little trinkets, or even some keys. Zypha did her work quickly and collected a few things.

After the messy job was over it was time to see if she could get down into the building from the rooftop. Considering there were five marines on top it made sense there was a trap door or something that led into the building. "Now then, if I were a marine I would try to make the door as obvious as possible cause I'm stupid." Zypha looked around the roof top to locate said door. Depending on if was locked or not might make her have to improvise.
Hitsuji Momo - Vacuo Outskirts/Outside Outpost of Military Junta|Monday Afternoon

Hitsuji Momo had found herself a nice little spot a few hundred meters away from the outpost and was just waiting. The sheep faunus was sitting down on the hem of her battle skirt, not caring if it got dirty, her back to a nice large rock out there in the middle of the badlands. At the moment she was waiting for something very specific to happen, she had lived near this kind of area before and her horns were telling her a dust storm was incoming. The dust storm would hide her presence when she made her move to infiltrate the outpost.

"Ahhh, why'd it have to be a rescue operation of all things? Since I need to rescue some hapless person I won't be able to bash too many heads in without worrying about my target becoming a corpse. Doubt there will be any grimm in there either. Can't get paid if all that's left is a corpse, lame." Hitsuji tapped one of her horns against the rock as she picked a small camera out of her pocket.

"I also got some Mr. Pervert here wanting to up his prized collection for his own 'private' use." She complained some more as she dusted off the lens. "Rabbit lover eh? Probably likes big busts too." She stole a glance at the outpost then quickly hid again as she waited for the dust storm. She made sure the camera's flash was turned off and sighed, "Please stay alive my hapless target in the meantime." Hitsuji closed her eyes but kept her other senses completely open. Her time would come soon.
This is cool, reminds me somewhat of the light novel/manga/anime, Overlord.

I think monster characters would be a great idea, either monster class replaces job class, or all players have a 'default human' appearance with the 'were-ability' to transform into their chosen monster form to either enhance or supplement their chosen job class.

Hmm I think I'll go with a monster class system as the new 'job' system, makes the most sense plus allows these new 'player killers' to be essentially incognito. The Dark Lord will be trying to raise up this new army of elites so he's gonna be sly about it.

Also thinking about it, I'm going to not go the player trapped inside the game route, instead everyone will be regular players who get involved with the Dark Lord's schemes unknowningly, thinking it is just some kind of special event or something. As such there may be times where your character is doing things in the real world and might hear about some of the strange rumors going on about the game. This should also add a level of mystery to what is actually happening.
The plan was going exactly as she hoped, if there was one thing she was confident in it was her five senses and speed. The roar of the cannon resounded in the air and her body had already reacted. Zypha jumped and latched onto the tree. The cannonball smashed into the base of the tree, making the tall pole start its fall. The cannonball barely missed her but she had done it, now she quickly raced to the top of the tree as it started its descent.

She reached the top with remarkable speed and jumped into the air toward the roof. She tossed one left scythe and managed to hook onto the marine's wall, she then pulled herself forward, launching herself at the wall. As soon as he body reached the top she grabbed the top and pushed herself up and over into a somersault. She hadn't really been paying attention to anything but the timing of her ascent so she was surprised to see three of the five already down. What was going to be a rather though fight had turned into, well clean-up.

The two remaining marines were each manning a different cannon. Zypha fired her pilfered pistol at the marine that fired at her, since he no doubt saw her reach the roof, then threw her right chain scythe at the other marine to catch him with its sharp blade. While all this happened she then quickly detached her other scythe from the short wall. If everything went well the roof would be cleaned up of enemies in a matter of moments and the other two could find their way inside. She would have to see if there was entrance here on the roof.
Intro Mini-Story

The Demon Lord sighed as yet another of his mighty fortresses fell to the overwhelming might of the heroes that forever plagued his plans. No matter what scheme, no matter how much he seemed to prepare there was just no stopping those annoying pests, those 'adventurers' from destroying all he built. These strange beings from another land who always grew stronger and were impossible to annihilate completely. No matter how many times they failed eventually their tenacity and tendency to keep growing in strength and equipment would overwhelm even the strongest of minions. There was no winning.

"Well my lord, I don't think we'll be making progress with this plan either." Said one of his closest servants as he served the dark lord a goblet of some blood-red liquid.

"Tch, indeed. Ever since those 'adventurers' appeared it has been impossible for any plan to succeed; however, my new plan has already been set in motion. These beings from beyond the veil have been summoned by our enemies for too long. Now is the time for us to do the same! Fight fire with fire, or in this case, adventurer with adventurer! Has the 'server' been set up yet?"

An image of what appeared to be a dark sorcerer surrounded by runes, magic circles and thousands of candles and incense lamps, appeared before the Dark Lord. "It should be up and running in just a few moments your excellency." Came the hollow voice of the dark mage. "It should open up our own gateway to 'outer-veil' dimension allowing these 'adventurers' to come to our side if they so choose. Though I am unsure if any will take the offer."

At this the Dark Lord grinned, "That is were you are wrong my subordinate. Even among the enemy adventurers there are ones called, PKers and trolls, though I admit I fail to see the resemblance at all to our own trolls. In any event undoubtedly some will come over to our side and finally we will have an unstoppable force of our own to fight back with. Come and swear your allegiance to me! Your Dark Lord awaits!" The Dark Lord started to laugh maniacally while the sorcerer and servant could only sigh.

"I really hope this works out..."

The Idea

So as you can probably tell from the short little intro the Dark Lord of some MMORPG has decided to get his own Player Characters on his side in order to fight the Player Characters of the traditional game. Of course things are not as simple as that but I've yet to come up with any firm thoughts beyond the basic premise. Anyway interest and thoughts appreciated of course.

For instance should the Player Characters be able to make their own monster characters as the Dark Lord's minions? Rather have a, trapped in the game universe kind of thing or else just playing a game that's about to get stranger and weirder as the Dark Lord starts messing with the code and whatnot? Like I said the main thing at the moment is just me seeing if anyone is interested in the basic premise before I think about really crafting the roleplay.

The Setting

MMORPG Titan's Sphere - A Fantasy setting type MMORPG that at first glance may seem fairly run of the mill. Player hubs, empires and kingdoms to explore, evil villains to trounce, monster galore etc. What makes this MMORPG unique is the fact that while there are of course the traditional bad guys to defeat there are also power spots that give various global effects to the faction that controls them. These power spots are controlled by massive Neutral Bosses called Titans that will defend against any aggressors and are notorious for being extremely hard raids.

An odd thing has occurred in the game world however, the Demon Lord of the antagonistic player environment has somehow managed to hack the system and create a new 'monster' server for players. Of course no one, not even the game developers, know about this and special invitations have been sent out to a random number of players under the guise of a special event. With strict instructions not to tell other people and a built in filter to prevent monster players from talking with regular players the stage has been set in motion.

You are one of the players who got the invitation in their inbox, upon clicking the accept button the message is deleted and the player is sent to a brand new character creation screen to create their own monster character. The soon to be Player Killer monsters are about to be born in Titan's Sphere and the implications which set a great many things in motion.

Zypha smirked, gave a nod to both crewmembers and Bee-lined for the tree. To make sure she seemed like she could be an actual threat she took out the pistol, carrying it like she intended to find a good spot to strike from. As she made her way toward the base of the tree she made sure to zig-zag quite a bit to avoid any bullets that came her way, she certainly couldn't afford a bullet wound before getting on top of the roof.

"I'll give ya numbskulls to the count of 10 to give up or we're gonna storm your base and show ye what your insides look like! 10! 9!..." She started the countdown as she raced toward the tree. At the count of 4 she managed to position herself behind the base of the tree. Now it was all up to her skill, if she could judge the exact timing of the cannon barrage she would jump up, race toward the top of the tree as it started to fall toward the base, and make the best impression of a daredevil, acrobatic ninja she could to get on top. She made sure to at least let the pistol peek out from behind the tree so the marines knew she was right there at the bottom, an easy target for a cannon.

"3! 2!-"
Well I realize now in the character bio that the color section was referring to the color the character was named after, I thought it was the color we were going to use for character dialogue. So now I see the color I chose makes no sense in the context.
