One Piece: New Age

Zypha missed most of the action but she was able to pay witness to the other pirate ship being smashed to smithereens by the crazy one. So it turned out he was a Shichibukai, a strong pirate on the payroll of the World Government. They were strong and quite feared on the seas so Zypha was unsure if meeting the 'Judge' was good luck or bad. Well the good part was the newest threat was now no more, but the plain fact was they were essentially in the hands of the Shichibukai so things could easily turn bad.

Well now was not the time for thinking such thoughts as the Shichibukai's antics was quickly making the pirate vessel sink. Zypha wasted no time jumping back on board her vessel, thankfully she hadn't gone very far so it was a quick hop away to her ship. As everyone was scrambling aboard she wasted no time in setting sail, away from the sinking ship, they did not want to be near it as it was going down. She pushed the ship away from the other vessel and started setting a course to go around the island, as they needed to find a safe place to harbor.

"I hope everyone who wants to live is on board cause we need to get somewhere fast!"

"Don't worry about money, I'll figure out some way you can repay me." Zypha Got up and stretched her arms a little to relax her tense muscles. "For the moment you're free to tag along if you prove yourself useful." Zypha took a glance at the woman's sword to which she seemed very attached to.

"The name's Zypha, Zypha Celtus if you must know the full name and I...well became the captain of this small vessel quite recently." The events of their last landfall still haunted her a bit even though she was already plenty used to death.

"Well if you want to find the enemy captain he should still be knocked out over there, maybe you can get some answers from him. Well I better take one last look over there before we hightail it out of here. I am not about to get captured by slavers!" Zypha gave the side of the cabin a sudden smash quite suddenly, the wood creaked a little.

Zypha turned and exited the cabin, turned back toward the ship only to see the largest hammer she had ever seen! "What in the Grand Line is that!?" From her vantage point she could really only see the hammer and not who wielded it and who was on the receiving end. With a quick curse, she made her way back on the vessel to see what was going on.

Then everything changed and the Demon Lord interfered. Francesca groaned and stopped trying to grab the girl, completely missing the fact that the Demon Lord had just saved her butt. She took a step back toward the portal and her eyes took in the girl's sword briefly. "I'll be sure to take that sword of yours next time, looks valuable."

Well, she was not about to disobey the Demon Lord, so without further adue, she stepped through the portal and arrived in the casino. As soon as she realized where she was her eyes sparkled with excitement. "Oh, oh! So much stuff! So much money! Ahh I wish it were all mine!" Like a giddy girl on Christmas she looked around everywhere, drinking in the sound of coins clinking and machines whirling. It would be so easy to take it all, if it weren't for the fact that a certain demon operated the casino.

She was greedy not suicidal.

Well she was just going to watch but someone decided to find her. Just think of it was a brief taste of what is to come.

As she reached for the magical girl Francesca could hear this annoying low-pitched hissing sound that started to gnaw at her. It was stupidly annoying and she wanted to shut it up but she was quite busy at the moment. The sound did distract her a little though so when the magical girl stepped in, putting a foot through her legs, she was a little slow on the uptake. The punch connected with a resounding crack as the punch hit her sternum, and the cracking of cartilage could be heard on impact, which caused Francesca to put a foot back to steady herself. As the foot hit the roof part of it formed up around her foot to her her extra purchase to withstand the punch and not move in the slightest.

This magical girl was quite the hard hitter, but at the same time Francesca had one hard body which took the blow rather well. The punch certainly hurt but Francesca was a very big girl, especially after her demon transformation "That actually hurt kid," she chided, a small tear forming in her left eye, as she quickly brought her arms together in a deadly bear hug, "I think its time you pay the toll." She may have missed her original attempt but now that the girl was almost literally in her arms there would be no escape and then she could begin a true demon's assault.

Having the barrier behind her didn't really bother her, instead, Terra took a step forward, stepping through the demon's legs and slipping through the demon's hands. With that she simply gathered her energy to her fist, and threw a powerful punch towards the demon's sternum.

I was reading this and I'm quite confused about what is actually happening. So the characters are facing each other, Terra Breaker steps through her legs and then takes a punch at her sternum which is in the chest area...ok so the way it seems to me is that she stepped inside Francesca's reach to avoid getting hand grabbed and give her a quick punch, but the through the legs part indicates that she went under her, putting her on Francesca's backside but then she couldn't punch her in the sternum.

Anyway a little clarification would be nice before making a response. The through the legs part is really messing with me.

So this magical girl was the type to instantly go into danger at the slightest provocation, well that certainly made her job easier, though she had been planning to get in a little preemptive strike but being in so close certainly suited her demon abilities better. The girl was decently fast though as she quickly got into Francesca's face so she could insult her. She was admittedly a little confused about the 'oversized goat' comment but then remember in her demon form she had horns, though the rest of the comparison escaped her.

"Well you're a cute one, you think that one up yourself." Her smirk remained as she mocked and stared down at the girl, eyes full of amusement. "Now let's see what you have on you and I'll give you a present while I'm at it." She clicked her heel on the rooftop, which caused part of the roof behind Terra to rise up behind her to block off any retreat. With that makeshift barrier up Francesca reached forward to grab hold of the magical girl with her strong hands, that looked somewhat like claws cause of her sharp fingernails.

Reaching for her shoulders and neck she intended to start the corruption process as soon as she learned of her mental weakness through touch. It would only take a brief moment to skim her mind and find the right illusions to break down her will. Course the process would be easiest if she could manage to keep hold of the magical girl in her grip.

Zypha watched as Croma ate and thanked her, ever on her guard just in case. Thankfully such guard was not needed despite the bloodlust as the woman thanked her for the food. "Don't thank me just yet, this crew was just a bunch of lousy crownies, I don't doubt the man behind this will try to get back his merchandise." Zypha looked Croma over more closely when she said merchandise, just to see what the slavers had almost had.

Croma was a pretty woman, slim and skilled with a sword, or scabbard in this case, as she never unsheathed her weapon during the battle. From what little she remembered of the other, non-crazy, prisoner was he had been somewhat of a blond pretty boy. In either case there was little doubt the two would have been worth quite a bit on the slave market. Even if they had managed to escape on their own, it would have been impossible for them to effectively pilot the large pirate vessel and they would have been captured again. It seemed that fate had decided her ship should arrive that day.

"Well, I'll expect you to pay me back for the food at least." Zypha added with a smirk. "Still, I am curious as to how you managed to fall into slaver's hands. Piss off the wrong type of people maybe?"

Well its my understanding that corruption for the most part happens during battle, so technically whoever ends up fighting her gets some. Maybe not enough to turn but it will build up to be sure.

You know, just wondering do I have the right idea about the corruption mechanic? That for the most part it happens during battle, unless you're like a demon with special corruption powers?

Maybe a brief scuffle before she gets swarmed by magical children. Enough to perhaps put in a little corruption, yada yada, witty remarks and all that.
