If you guys like moths, look up images of the rosy maple moth. Please. I love them. How are they so fluffy? It's impossible.

Howdy, I'm Imbion (any pronoun), and I'm an 18+ veteran roleplayer! I'm an experienced storyteller, and put way too much effort into everything I involve myself in, to my own goddamn determent. Generally I like to talk about the more technical aspects of RP, but I'm also an experienced world builder. I also do a lot of character writing and design. I can give critique related to these topics upon request and if I so happen to have the time to do so.

Some of the other business I like to involve myself in includes gaming, drawing, and reading. I have a long running RP project on a Discord server that lives rent free in my head. I'm perpetually interested in Pokemon, Metal Gear, Kirby, Elder Scrolls, The Witcher series, and Undertale/Deltarune.

RP Limitations:
Mature Content - Ok with anything so long as it's not primarily sexual.
Romance - Only as a natural result of character synergy. Any pairing is ok, but please PM me for explicit consent first.
Sexual RP - Don't bother asking. Mentions, implications, and fading to black is ok.
Writing Length - Averages out to a small paragraph, but depends on the RP flow.
RP Load - Max one as a player and one as a GM, lest I go insane.
Fandom - Rarely, but not often.

Alice smirks a little bit at the mention of the "journalist."

"To be honest, it was kind of pathetic." They laugh to themself.

"Why tell us like this rather than getting the others by surprise? The only reason why you would do that sort of thing is out of fear. Unless, of course, they have different intentions..."

At the back of their head, they had a crawling feeling that this was some separate partly playing the part in order to grab their attention. That, or a trap to get them acting predictably. Perhaps they desire a personalized revenge, and so getting them involved is a vital requirement?

"Oh, and as for contact from the others? Well - the mail just came in today, you see. My assistant is currently sorting through it all, so we can -"

Elri pushes her way towards the door, pushing a letter towards Alice's hand. "I believe this is your hypothetical urgent letter."

Alice accepts the letter, putting it up to their face to read the sender. "Why yes, from Gideon. Congrats, we've found our contact. Just as I figured."

"... Yeah, yeah, from your old days of heroisim."

They purse their lips a little bit. "You sure you'll be able to hold down the fort yourself, if I say, hypothetically, had to go elsewhere for a bit?"

She giggles. "Come now, have faith, great hero."

"Do not worry, for I do."

Elri stares into the half orc's eyes for a moment, before bowing to the both of them. "I will return to my mail sorting affairs, then. Have fun with - whatever you people do, I guess."

She turns to walk back into the office.

Alice taps their fingers on the side of the doorway. They hope Elri doesn't come off as too apprehensive to him... They like her, though. She doesn't give them false platitudes. If anything, the sarcastic snark is a refreshing change of pace from the politeness and worship that they commonly get. A sign that they are being treated like an equal.

Alice turns themself back to Abraham, brushing their hair out of their face. "Well, why don't you come on in? We'll read the contents of the letter together, and figure out a plan from there."
I'll be posting again starting Friday, just been busy this week.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alice was walking to their desk, holding a small stack of letters that they had just recently received. Their assistant, the high elf Elri, was sitting to another desk to the side, parsing over some recent news article. Her golden skin was somewhat dull, and her black hair was stuffed in a messy bun.

As they are about to place the letters on the desk, Alice jumps a little bit. There's a knock on their door - something that loud implies that either the knocker has something important to discuss or simply thinks they have some urgent matter to speak of.

Alice lets out a sigh, before shifting over to Elri's desk. They place the letters on her desk, brushing their hair out of their face and adjusting their jacket.

"Sort these by category for me - I'll get it."

"Mmm... Thanks," she mumbles.

Alice smiles a little bit. It's hard to tell when she's being sarcastic. "Yeah, you're welcome."

After relegating Elri to letter sorting duty, Alice leaves the room, entering into the entrance room. The floor is made out of a worn red wood, with the walls being a slate gray. There's a lone couch placed near the windows, accompanied by a table. There's one door to the office and another to the common room, as well as a hallway that leads to the stairs and side storage room. The corners of the room are shadowy at this point in the morning.

They peek through the peep hole, in order to see if it's someone worthy of being let in - and it does appear to be! This is either a very good coincidence for their purposes, or about business. Cult related business. Alice smiles to themself before unlocking the door and throwing it open.

"Hello, Abraham." They dip their hands into their pockets, standing up straight.

"How are things?"
It'd probably be hard to get a letter to a specific person in the nomadic lands so I'll get Abraham to come with someone else. Probably Alice because they has a fixed address he can actually get to.

Alice's office location is quite stable, since that sort of work has always been their primary focus. Abraham could rely on them the most for being still found in the same location. They come from Casperus, but they would still live in their home town in order to stay in contact range with their family. The wood elf side of Alice's family travelled out of the nomadic lands and into Casperus, settling down in whatever medium-large sized town was the closet to them, so it's also less of a trip to take.

<Snipped quote by Hyyde322>

I never really specified where Gideon had set himself up or where the adventurers guild was located, but I think it would make sense for it to be in Bradena. Casperus was likely his home nation and the city is obviously where he met everyone else, so I think he would have returned there after everything happened.

We could say that he was the one to send out the letters to everyone else to come and reunite back where it all first started. He can use some of the adventurers from his guild to track down the people who are a little more out of the way or whose locations are less known; giving the letter to a party heading out to the nomadic lands and asking them to keep an eye out for an Orc ranger would probably work better than using a courier.

If everyone is okay with that then people can come find him at their leisure, either heading straight to him or meeting up with each other in the city before going to him last.

I like this idea the most for getting the party together as a whole. They might have sought each other out as an individual basis, but Gideon's ultimately what brings them all together, since he has the resources to eventually get into contact with everyone.

<snip>

I have completed my relationships info, going to post here in the OOC first to give everyone a chance to offer feedback or request changes before I add it to my sheet.

I like that choice for a dynamic between the two! They do have a lot of similarities, after all. I do think Alice would figure out the arrogance is a front, but I don't think during the adventure they would have pitted him that much, since Alice was considerably colder prior to the development they gained over the adventure. They might have eventually started to feel sorry for him as things went on.

After everything that happened with Octavia, Alice pities him a lot over the matter. They don't like how others in general have treated her memory, as they view the praise as a dangerous redaction of history, but they also understand the fact grief is the main driver for a lot of their mates.

Alice doesn't really know how to react to the grief people have been experiencing, since Octavia's death comparatively impacted them less, so it could be an explanation as to why they eventually gained some amount of distance.
We can also say that our characters sent letters to each other in order to meet somewhere, since I assume the world has a courier system. If magical messages are in use in the setting, those could also be used as an alternative.

If we still want to do the group idea, it can operate off of a similar principle, but for characters closer to particular cities, since getting several people together who have practically scattered across the world is kind of difficult.

Imo it doesn't make as much sense if it's by coincidence for everyone, but having one or two of them so happen to be there still can work. So for the characters who would be difficult to reach through letter, that sort of thing can work.

Also, I'll try to update Alice's relationship with the other members when I get a chance. I just haven't gotten an opportunity for it yet.
Alright, it's done. Let me know if I need to make any adjustments, or if I missed anything. Basic premise is that they're effectively an evolved version of a thrill seeker rouge, one now with heroic tendencies and a slight religious inclination. Little bit of sherlock homes inspiration in there (needing to do something intellectually stimulating or otherwise bad things happen) with a paranoiac streak. Trying to live their best life, but not really being able to enjoy it due to the state of things.

I think I'm honing on playing a rouge character, since that appears to be untouched by the other party members. With the personality I'm developing, a character based slightly on the inquisitive archetype seems appropriate - explains how/why they're so suspicious of Octavia, since the class role itself lends to not really trusting anyone.

I'll see if I can post the character sheet today, but if not, I'll be posting it tomorrow.

Once I've done that and gotten the character approved, I'd like to get things like relationships with the rest of the party figured out.
I'm somewhat interested in this idea, but I'd like to create a character that doesn't have too much overlap with the other present characters. I do like the idea of making a character that has a less than positive opinion on Octavia for some variety. Any party composition roles we're notably missing in the already submitted characters? I'm leaning towards something like either a monk, cleric, or ranger atm.
