For those that participate in this war, I assume the Gods make a deal that they will create new bodies containing all of their old abilities from which they can respawn their soul into once they are killed? There has to be some penalty to this or else the war would be...infinite. Maybe some sort of unseen point total swaying the opinion of who is winning.

A good way to get a massive amount of advertisement would be to convince YouTube skallagrim to join us. All we'd have to do is sacrifice our skallagrim, but I'm sure he'd be willing, even if we have to force him. ;)
I don't have any archers, come to think of it. A perfect Mary Sue plot would be the daughter of katniss and Legolas, which I'm sure someone has done before in all seriousness. People would tend to dodge arrows a lot if it all possible, so I need some sort of ability to make up for this.

Anyways, at first I thought you meant cut her in half vertically from between the legs, which would be very hard to accomplish if she's rolling away from you due to having to hit before she turns away much at all. Rolling towards you would provide a longer opportunity and reaction time. Horizontally is more likely.

Evvie gets taken out of the sky quite handily, but usually on her own volition to try and melee her opponent. Either that or guns or throwing rocks.
