Bio

Greetings,

I am Jb; Briton by birth, roleplayer by my own hand, and lover of literature. I am also an amateur historian, a receiver of a Bachelors degree in Ancient and Medieval History - quite a useless degree, actually - and would like to think that I'm a fair, honest and open guy.

As far as RP'ing goes, I'm pretty open to most things really, all you need to do is ask! :)

So, if you've ever any questions for me, wish to speak about RP's involving myself or run by myself, or simply feel like a chat, don't be afraid to get in touch.

An Inquisition/Dark Heresy RP

Hail and well met,

This will be my first attempt at running a DH RP - one based on the daring do of the Emperor's Inquisition - and also one of the few times that I have ventured into the Casual section at all. I'm here for some fresh blood, and also for some writers up for some underhanded and cloak-and-dagger action in service to the God-Emperor.

Players will take the role of acolytes; individuals from many different backgrounds and of varying but useful occupations, all in service to the Inquisitor (myself) and through then the Imperium.

I intend for this to be an ever evolving adventure, the choices you make having an affect on what happens and where the RP goes. What I require in this case is a small group (5 or so players) of dedicated roleplayers that can post at least twice a week and not simply bail on me quarter of a way through.

A decent grasp of English will also be required, and the ability to use it. In this case, initially at least, I'll be using your character application/profile/sheet, as well as RPing history, to determine suitability - please don't get this twisted for elitism or segregation, but past experience may have tinged my views slightly.

Now, since you've read this far (assuming you have...), if you have any questions to ask then please ask away! If you're simply interested then feel free to state your interest. Once we get enough interest the OOC thread will be forthcoming.

Until then, the Emperor protects.
@mackielars That's a sweet picture! Love the drawing style, and the knifes included of course. Nice. :)

If everyone is finished with their questions, then I'll get on with some replies.
I didn't get a response from Hank, then real life fell apart on me. I'm out for awhile - too much stuff happening on this end. Have Nakera wander off into the world of Mechanicus.

Sorry Jb. Not my intention to bail.

It's alright, shit does happen! Hope to see you again though, and also that life turns out for the better for you.

If anyone is interested, I've just popped up a Rogue Trader thread - because I don't have enough 40K RPs already! - and if you're not interested then we will be carrying on my waywards sons soon.
@Rultaos That's cool, he is in error; since he's got a portable one-man weapon on him, and is part of the company/squad, he'll more than likely be in the line with you and not actually behind you all - there might still be some friendly fire if he falls behind, but other than that it should be A-OK.
I did not know that the beds were camping cots >_<. Will edit my post later today

Well...you are on the deck of a ship, so they're probably just cots bolted to the floor, all lined up next to one another in military fashion.

Oh, also, the entire regiment (3,000 plus vehicles) is in/on that deck with you - it is a MASSIVE space - D Company has been given one corner section of the place, but the rest of the regiment is still on the deck with you lot.

I imagine a few of them would probably be watching the speech from a distance, some shooting etc, but you're not seperated from them.

@Jbcool managed to edit my post for clarifications and also to place them in the colonel's office. persy and her team are worried lil buggers right now. hehe.

Fair enough, and they should be.
Oh, and just so everyone knows;

The entire 87th Regiment, plus vehicles, are barracked in an otherwise open deck - minus shooting range and eating area - think of an empty warhouse in shape and size but bigger.

D-Company is in one corner of the square that makes up the deck, right next to other companies of the 3,000 person regiment.

Your beds are simple camp-style beds like this: 39048a6a4c54cd51794c-51b85328b8b09ba9f..

If you ever have any questions about surroundings, equipment or anything else, then please ask me in this OOC thread.
@mackielars You do realise that you've been asked, with the rest of the Wisps, to go and see your Colonel...yes?

Best sober up real fast.

@agentmanatee Looks to me like Sergeant might not suit you after all...
That said, once we begin the journey I feel like things will start rolling along more smoothly. Here's hoping, at least.

Usually the way it goes. :)

I need to resolve that issue at some point. :\

Yes please :D
